MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!? Lol I was considering just ending the fic there lol like they all just die at the end. Haha I mean they did die but… just read…
I sat in my cell, immediately sensing the boy. No, he isn't dead yet, somehow Fate got him through the gate. Still it isn't safe for Kidd to be on this side. Espier has been keeping me company, how many people did he kill? No, seriously, I mean he's just been dying very casually like nothing. It got to the point where we'd make it a guessing game, how will he die this time? What am I saying? I have to get out of here! I have to save Kidd!
"NU! NU! NU! NU!"
The eye ball Shinigami floated down to the cells, "What is it now Key?"
"You want proof I haven't been plotting to kill the old man? Espier, show Nu to the-"
The sands vanished and I was punched in the face, "Shut up Key. Your trial will be soon, be grateful you even have one."
And then she vanished. I rubbed my cheek, "What's wrong with her, she's never been this angry at me."
"Hey Key," said Espier, "Look."
And then I noticed it. The sands were gone, in other words, I could escape. Nu, I wanna believe you're letting me go because you think I'm cool and want to help me clear my name, so that's what I'm gonna do.
"Come on Espier, let's go- ESPIER!?"
He had another Heart Attack so I picked up his body and flew off. Nu will let me go but any other Shinigami in service will come and stab me. The Shinigami world is falling apart, so much that new caves are forming and familiar places are moving around. Fate has set off the balance by bringing a live human here and has tilted the scale between life and death.
When I escaped the caves I saw a human wondering far away. Was it Kidd? No, this human is dead, I can see that. I flew over, who had come to the Shinigami world? She was holding a vile and drinking the contents, poison. I looked at her for a minute, wait, she looks familiar… isn't she in Kidd's classes? Espier opened his eyes and I put him down.
"Isn't that Matsuri?"
She looked over, woah she is so not cute at all. Gross.
"Espier? Where am I? Why do I keep dying?"
"Haven't you realized? You're in the Shinigami World, and you're atoning for your sins by dying all of the deaths you've dealt."
"Why are you still here? Just how many people did you kill?"
Espier watched the girl for a minute, "You realize you've died."
"Yes," she smiled, "But I died like a main character- Hold on. Do all Death Note users come to this world when they've died?"
"That's right," I said registering this human.
Her eyes widened, "The nurse!?"
Meanwhile…
The humans looked around. Sand. They were in the Shinigami world. It was different from what anyone thought.
"So this is the Shinigami World? Talk about your fixer upper," said Carmella.
"And I thought my world was rotten," Light said.
It was a wasteland, windy, and the ground below them was ever-changing. It looked as if it were night, one high golden moon hovering over them. Instead of casting light though, all it did was spread the shadow. The humans followed what could only resemble a path. It looked like red and blue glass broken into large pieces until they came across an old iron stairwell that stopped a little ways into the sky.
Heheheheheheheheh…
The tuned around to what looked like a monster, half of it's face shrouded in shadow all it could do was laugh.
"What is that!?" Screamed Carmella.
"I do believe that we are looking at the nurse," said the detective only half interested.
"But how did she turn into that," said Misa.
"It doesn't happen very often," said Hurt.
"But once in a while a human becomes something less than so when they cross over," finished Harm.
"How does that happen," Light asked unable to take his eyes off of the dark screaming creature before him.
"Humans don't begin as evil, those changes happen over time through their lives. This one however, was so disturbed that she became this when she crossed over," said Hurt.
"Only this one seems a little more distorted than the others," finished Harm.
The woman began to look more and more like a monster with every screamish laugh. It shook everyone, scaring all of them.
"I see, is it possible she was a test subject for the door before Fate decided to use it?"
"It is likely."

When I opened my eyes I saw nothing but sand, "Hueco Mundo?"
I was alone and tried standing up, but a gust of wind whipped my face, I couldn't get a good look at my surroundings. I squinted and looked: I was in a ruin of some sort; Stone pillars and crumbling cobblestones. There was even what looked like what once was a mosaic made of shattered glass. Where am I? And then I saw it, there was a door. It was large and wooden, I think? It had falling stars carved on it and, well I think it's calling me? … How can I say no to that?
I approached the door, as it willed me to, I felt I had seen it. Maybe once upon a dream? Oh, now I'm being silly. I was about to touch the door, maybe open it, but stopped myself. Something is wrong here. I looked around me and saw nothing until I saw Fate.
"Open the door Masaya."
"What's a Masaya?"
"Open the door," was all he said back.
I have so many ideas for fanfics I wanna write but I can't start them without finishing the ones I have now… I can essentially finish one of them now but I don't have the will to do so… That's a lie. If I sit and start I'll be done in like a half hour. Okay, so it's settled. I'm going to finish some of these fics and pour all of my time into a new one and finish that before starting another while converting story ideas into one shots so I can at least say I tried!
