"I will create a new world," howled Fate.

Light sighed and pace palmed, "Is that what I sound like?"

I squeezed Light's hand and smiled like a female shoujo protagonist, "We will create a new world Light, even if it's through the old fashioned way… you know making change for a dollar and helping old ladies across the street."

"We're dead Kidd, so it'll be up to you to help the old ladies."

I sighed, that's right. They're all dead. That's not something even I can change now. Still, we have to stop Fate now. Or everything they sacrificed would be in vain!

"Light."

"I'm going to change the world!"

We were glowing then, a white outline. Fate shot a rocket of fire at us from withing his darkness but we were immune. My powers won't last when I leave the doorway. So I have to make this count and I must kill him. I grinned then, because I have all kinds of reasons to want to kill this guy. I held my free hand out and Light mirrored my actions and a CLAMP sword appeared in his hand and a scepter appeared in mine. We held them out, still glowing, and started spinning together forming a lance of power and we shot at him like the stars of the door shoot across the sky.

"MAID CAFÉ!" I screamed as we hurled at the black hole known as Fate's heart, oh! Apply cold water to BURN!

And then it was done. Light and I were floating in darkness. Did we die? No, one of us was already dead. Did we win? Yeah, I think we won. That was cool I guess? Then I saw a light. It was shining like an emerald. Light seemed to have black out so I pulled him along as I tried to float toward it.

And then I opened my eyes, Light and I were outside the door in the sand. The door had disappeared but… there was a weight on me. I looked. OUR FRIENDS!

"KIDD YOU DID IT!" Cried Espier.

"And Light helped," grinned L.

"Yeah! I helped!" Yelled Light.

I sat up and was knocked over by Carmella – Hari and Uru… at least I think it's Uru? Yeah, it's Uru. Light was jumped by Misa and Ryuk and well we were having a really great moment until everyone who wasn't me or a Shinigami reached for their throats and suddenly died!?

"W-what's happening!?"

"The door works as an alternate space, but when you return to the Shinigami world they must continue their atonement," said Rem.

"Luckily," said a new voice, "I have a way to get around that."

We all turned to see a Shinigami covered in eyes. She bid us to follow her while Ryuk threw his best pick up lines at her. It was then we came upon a dark and crumbling castle. This is where the Shinigami King is. The other humans began to wake up as we entered the main hall where the swirling vortex of a king wait.

"Key," he roared.

The sheep lowered himself, obviously afraid, "yes?"

Nu came over to Key and handed him something strange, "This is a rare gift the old man only bestows upon the kindest of Shinigami. Congratulations Key, you're a cool kid now."

I looked in Key's hand curiously and saw an… eraser?

"The death eraser? I had once of those once," said Ryuk, "but I stole mine so haha, it got taken up."

Nu held up an eraser herself, "I traded my service to the king to help a human and in turn received this to save his life. I've only ever used it the one time. Now it's a reminder for me. But Key, you can use it to reverse all the deaths of the humans who helped you."

The King bowed to Key, who blushed like a school girl, "Key, you are the Kind Shinigami and in being so have befriended the humans and with their help saved not only their world but ours as well. As thanks I'm giving you this special gift. I would also request you join my court and help me heal this land with your heart."

Key was going to cry when Ryuk smiled at him, "We were wrong about you, Key. You're not so boring after all."

"Espier," said Nu, "Your human body is gone so we can't send you back… so the king and I have agreed to turn you into a Shinigami as long as you assist Key."

We were all really happy then, it looks like everything is going to turn out alright!

"Key! I'm so happy for you," I cheered.

He smiled down on me, "I could never have gotten here without you Kidd."

He pet my head and ruffled my hair, I held his hand there. His smile turned to a sad one and that's when I realized it…

I looked up to Key, "So this is goodbye."

And then it was quiet and everyone looked to us. That's right, when we return to the human world we won't have our Death Notes anymore.

"So it is…"

"When I leave this place I won't remember you will I?"

His smile turned sad, "… you won't."

I nodded and tried to smile up at him, "It's been fun Key."

"Yeah, maybe I'll visit the human world and watch anime with you sometimes."

"I won't see you though."

He laughed, looking at his feet, "it'll be like old times, like when we first met and you ignored me."

I wrapped my arms around him suddenly and squeezed as much as I could, "I look forward to it."

We stayed like that and like true men, started to cry, "I'm gonna miss you so much Key, you were my first friend."

He smiled, "Our hearts will always be connected."

We separated and I handed the Death Note formally over to him. He opened it and held up the Death Eraser. I had a moment of conflict and then YOLO BRO! I pulled him down to me by his face and kissed his cheek and grinned at him. Totally like in the anime go me!

He only laughed, "There you go again, making everything harder than it has to be."

"I love you Key."

"I'm not saying."

"Come on, it'll be just like in the anime!"

He started erasing my name, "I love you Kidd."

I opened my eyes and I was at home in bed. I felt like I had had the most amazing dream? Still I can't remember what? I turned on the TV with the strangest feeling I had forgotten something.

I decided to leave my love shack and walk to school. I can't believe I'm in Japan and soon the exchange student program will be over and I'll have to go back to America. And then I saw Light.

"Yo Light!"

"Oh hey Kidd, you're actually early today?"

"Well I'll be going back to America soon so I wanted to get as much out of this last week as possible."

"WHAT!?"

That wasn't Light. We turned to look at the school gates where Hari, godfather of the tigers, was standing. Then he ran over and punched me. What a woman~

"I can't believe you're leaving in only a week and you didn't tell me!"

I cried as she held me by my shirt collar, "Well I would have if you ever came to school."

She glared at me with a blush across her face and Light acted like he didn't know us and Uru watched us from afar. I waved at her and she quietly walked over. Strange. It seems like we're all forgetting something? I looked up at the sky and smiled.

"It's a really nice day guys."

"Are you seriously talking about the weather," groaned Hari.

Uru smiled warmly, "It really is nice though. I feel like I haven't seen a day like this in a while. Oh! That sounded weird."

Light made a face at us, "Actually now that you mention it… I don't think I've seen a day like this either in a while? It's like we've been away or something?"

"I know what you mean," I said before Hari pulled me to her by the shirt collar.

"Let me bring you back to reality," and then she kissed me and I flew away like a silly school girl, "Senpai has noticed me!"

Light went into shock and Uru looked scared for her life and Hari punched me, "Forget it! I have no idea why I did that!"

"Because of love Senpai~"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!"

Uru cut in before I could get myself killed by my new three dimensional girlfriend, "Hey! Since it's Kidd's final day at school before he has to pack up and go at the end of the week why don't we all go to a maid café and then go to the arcade!"

I stood up and took Uru's hands in mine, "I never noticed how good of a person you are Uru."

Light smacked me on the back of the head, "Don't get cocky, let's get to class."

I waved goodbye to Hari and the rest of us walked to class. Uru was silent and blushing and I was smiling like a mad man and Light was groaning about how I've become a player. Then I looked around me and realized I left my bag outside. I ran from the others and told them I'd meet them at class. When I got back to the school gate I saw my bag there waiting for me. When I bent over to pick it up something hit me on the head. What? An apple? I picked up the fruit and looked at it. Then something fell at my feet.

"What? A Note Book?" I picked it up and froze.

The bell went off and woke me up and I smiled with the Death Note in my hands.

And so marks the end of Gods of Death and Gods of Nothing! I'm glad you all liked it and followed it and reviewed it and stuff. Just keep in mind the OVA comes next! THE END FOR NOW! I LOVE YOU!
