The Doctor and Rose ignored Blue's agonized screams as best they could as hot, wet tears dripped off of their chins. They so desperately wanted to go back after Blue, to save her from the Master's sadistic grasp, but none of them would survive, and the Doctor's first priority was protecting the woman he loved, and that's what he would do to the end of the Universe. Their sweaty hands entwined, they held onto the thin shred of hope that the Master would be satisfied with his prize fish right now and let them be, at least until they could mend. They wound around several corners and sighed in relief as they saw the very edge of that beautiful blue box, the TARDIS that would at least give them safety… for a while. The Doctor fumbled with the key but finally unlocked the TARDIS, but they were both so unsteady on their feet that instead of stepping into the TARDIS, they fell inside as the door gave out underneath them. The Doctor gently slid Rose further into the machine and slammed the door shut, finally able to relax. He rushed to Rose, ignoring his own injuries to tend to hers. Her face was badly disfigured; bruises darkened her soft features. Scratches and gashes lined her cheeks, her nose seemed jagged and broken, and her eyes were swollen shut. The Doctor's tears splashed onto her wounds, but she was unconscious. He checked her pulse, and, finding that it was steady, he leaned down and brushed a kiss on her forehead, then stumbled to his feet and worked his way to the bench beside the console. He needed to heal before he could help not just Rose, but anyone. He opened one of the cabinets inside the TARDIS to find some medicine to help for a bit. After swallowing a few pills, he managed to walk over to the console, and punched in the buttons that would take them to the one place they could get help.

A Catkind nurse was sitting outside the hospital when the TARDIS arrived there. She stood up, surprised as the Doctor managed to step out of the TARDIS. "Doctor and Rose Tyler. We both need stretchers." The nurse was surprised at that.

"Erm, if you both need stretchers, how're you standing?"

The Doctor shrugged. "Good question." And then he passed out. The nurse immediately got two stretchers.

I woke up tied to a chair, the drumbeats quieter, but not gone. Despite the fact that I was aching, sore, and stiff all over, I struggled to be free. But then the door opened and two figures walked in. One of them was the Master and the other was... Yen! Surprise stopped me from struggling. "Yen?" I breathed.

His eyes widened. "You... Remember me?" He asked.

"Some of my scattered memories have you in it. What the hell're you doing with him? Get outta here!" The Master laughed.

"You're being kind of thick, aren't you?" He asked

I stared at him to Yen, and then back again. "You... You don't mean..."

"That I created him to be your friend and to take your memory away?"

Another betrayal. I felt tears smart in my eyes and I looked away. Yen whispered, "I'm sorry..." I looked up at the Master, hating him with all my heart. "Why did you want me so bad? Why aren't I dead?" I sobbed. The Master looked down at Yen. "How can I tell her without revealing her life history?" Yen didn't say anything.

"Okay, okay, um, let's just say... 'Someone' experimented on you... And uh, you kind of have telekinetic abilities."

"You're lying."

"Out of anything I told you, that's the most true. The reason I needed you so bad was so I could rewrite your brain, and make you entirely on my side. You would become Earth's ... And the universe's downfall."

I snarled at him. "Why? Just... Why?"

"So I could rule the Earth, and maybe even the Universe. You'd help me so much. Besides, if anyone tried to kill you, you have some... Special features that would help out loads."

"What 'special features'?" I asked.

"WHY SHOULD I TELL YOU?" He roared. I shivered in my seat.

"Okay, um... I'm not gonna let you do this to me, you know that, right?"

"I'm afraid you've got no choice. Yen, shock her." Yen walked over to me, sadness in his eyes, and gripped my arm with a heavy gloved hand. Electricity surged through me. I wailed, and the Master placed some head shackle over my head. Yen let go of my arm, and I took several sharp breaths. The Master said, "This is the device that will rewrite your mind to make you completely obedient to the cause. Yen, why don't you press the button?" Yen walked over to the console, and I whispered, "Yen, don't..."

He looked up at me, his strange blue eyes looking at mine. His finger lingered over the button, and just as he was about to press it, he whirled around and grabbed the Master in the chest with the glove. Electricity burst throughout the Master, and he screamed and backed up to the window. Yen looked over his shoulder and yelled, "Press the red button on the side of the chair to escape!" And then he shoved the Master through the window and he started to fall too. I was busy, trying to find the red button, but I screamed, "Yen!" He was halfway out the window, but he looked at me and cried, "I'm so sorry!" And he fell out the window, along with the Master. I had found the button and pressed it, and I was free. I ran over to the window and cried, "Yen! No!" But just as I said that, he and the Master had hit the ground. The drum beats stopped abruptly in my head. "Oh my God..." I whispered, and I started to cry. The tears slid down my face and I fell to the ground, overcome with sobbing. "Why? Why'd he have to die?" I screamed. Rubbing my eyes, I forced myself to get up. Then I remembered the other cloned Masters. I needed weapons. I looked around the room, and found an electric glove like the one Yen had, and an average pistol. I was terrified. However, the important thing was to find a way out, especially now that I didn't have the Doctor or Rose to help me. I walked out of the room.

Rose woke up groggily, unable to tell where she was. For a wild moment, she thought that she was in some sort of fancy prison. But then she realized that prisons wouldn't be checking her vital signs. Unless they wanted her to be alive so they could torture her. She tried to shrug it off, but panic started to writhe in her stomach. Panic seized her, and she struggled to rip the IVs out of her veins and scrambled off of the sterile white bed, thinking that the Master had captured her and the Doctor. She flung herself past all the Catkind and screamed his name, until she realized who she was flinging herself past. Several burly security guards had already been alerted of her state and rushed to her, taking the frantic girl in strong arms and wrestling her back onto the hospital bed. She couldn't remember much, but what she could remember was the Master's brutal beating, his bony fists against her cheeks, the relentless punches, scratches, smacks. His strong legs pressing down on her arms, his entire body weighing on her stomach, making fighting back an impossibility, restricting her breath so she couldn't even breathe as he tortured her. Terror took hold of her and she continued struggling against the guards, who pressed a sterile needle filled with tranquilizers into her arm, and after a few more seconds of pushing against them, she fell into a pit of nightmare-filled, shriek-worthy hallucinations.

Again, she woke but remained calm, taking deep breaths and calling a nurse over. "Nurse? Excuse me! Nurse!" her voice broke and she was on the edge of screaming again, but the warm tears weaving down her cheeks and seeping into her cuts and bruises reminded her to stay calm. A Catkind kindly strode to her bedside and looked down at her. "Yes?" she asked softly, her voice a purr. Rose swallowed and tried to widen her eyes as much as she could, but they were still too swollen to be wider than slits. "Where's the Doctor?"

"I'm sorry, the doctor's busy. Maybe she can see you - "

"No, the Doctor. Not your cat doctors, the real Doctor."

"The patient that came in with you?"

"Yeah! The other patient, the man!"

"Miss Tyler, he's regenerating." the nurse said with sympathy. Rose tried to shoot up, but found her ankles and wrists forcefully bound to the hospital bed that had now become a prison. "Please… I need to see him!"

"Nobody can see him while he's regenerating. We have to keep him safe."

"He'll want me there! I need to be the first face he sees when he regenerates!"

The nurse sighed and glanced around, then began working on her bonds quietly. "Don't let anyone know I'm doing this. I might lose my job. I can get you in to see him." she whispered. Rose smiled as much as she could without causing her swollen face further pain and then allowed the nurse to help her up and out of the Broken Bones and other Minor Injuries Ward and they hobbled to a near-empty ward with only a few Catkind nurses milling about boredly. Rose looked up and read the blurry words above her. Regeneration Ward.

A sign below the Ward sign was less formal, and read No Longer In Use. The words brought a pang of sadness to Rose's chest, remembering how sad the Doctor would be to see those words. She continued through the ward until they reached a large, empty room, with the Doctor curled into a ball on the floor. Several Catkind were gathered around a huge, rectangular viewing window, like the Doctor was just another animal in a zoo. Rose pushed past them and pressed her face to the glass, and the Head Nurse peered at the one that had brought Rose curiously. "Zania, what is this?" she demanded. The nurse looked down at her spotless habit sheepishly. "She demanded to see him, Mistress. They're in love… I just couldn't let her lay there and not be there with the Doctor." she mumbled. The Head Nurse shrugged and walked to the door, keying in the passcode to unlock the door and allowing Rose access. "Doctor!" she said, running to him. Just as she was about to lay her hands on his sweaty, slightly shimmering face he jerked away and cried out, "Stop! No, Rose, don't touch me! I'm regenerating, who knows what that'll do to you!"

Rose stepped away obediently and the Doctor struggled to his feet, using the wall as support. "Stand back… I don't wanna go..." he groaned, clutching his stomach. His hands and face glowed with tendrils of curling gold weaving around his fingers and lifting off of his features. This was all too familiar to Rose. She'd seen the Doctor regenerate once before, and it was the farthest from a pleasant experience she could think of. "Doctor…" she whimpered. He was flung off of the wall as gold flecks streamed from his hands and face and his arms were flung out to his sides. Suddenly, he collapsed - still in the process of regenerating - and, without thinking, Rose rushed to his aid. It was too late to tell her to stop; she had both of her hands on his chest, trying to stabilize him, and the regeneration energy pulsed into her violently. The Doctor was left gasping and crying on the floor and the tongues of golden regeneration energy flicked all around her, seeping into her mouth, eyes, ears, nose, sinking into her pores and making her glow like a god. She was raised from the ground and floated a few feet up in the air, her mouth wide as if she was screaming, and her hair curling and fluttering around her like she was floating in water. Her eyes glowed bright with harsh light and the Doctor stared up at her helplessly, begging her to come down. "Rose… no!" he rasped. Suddenly, she dropped to the floor and the sickening crack! of bone breaking made the Doctor cringe, but he didn't touch her. "Rose…?" he whispered gingerly. She raised her head from the floor slowly and blinked at him, her bruises and cuts gone. "D - Doctor?" she moaned. "Rose! You're okay!" He cried. She blinked again and brushed some hair in front of her eyes. "I... I..." She whispered.

"You... You ARE okay, right?"

"I - I dunno."

"Rose…" the Doctor slid over to her, cradling her cheeks in his long, warm hands. "What's happened?"

"I feel… different."

He pressed his forehead to hers and her eyes jerked open again, shining with shimmering gold. "I am Bad Wolf." she chanted. The Doctor's face paled with dread. "Oh no..." Was all he could say. After all, the last time Rose was Bad Wolf, it nearly killed her.

I carefully looked around the corner, half expecting one of the Master's clones to be there. But there was nothing there. "Blue, you gotta chill." I said to myself. That's sad. I thought.

What's sad?

Just that you're so alone you're talking to yourself.

I shivered a little, remembering the Doctor and Rose leaving me. I get that they had to save themselves, but it still stung. I took a long breath and continued walking. It was pretty boring for a while, but then, out of nowhere, I looked around a corner and saw one of the clones with his back to me. I took a long, silent breath and walked quietly behind him. I put my gloved hand out and concentrated hard, and my skin went numb. Then a crack! Of electricity surged out of my glove and hit him in the back. He slowly turned to face me and reached out to me, but I fired the gun and aimed it at his head. I was not expecting the recoil, and my knuckles connected with my eye. The bright flash of light seared into my eyes, and the crack left me with my ears ringing.

The Master spun around in his swiveling chair and rolled over to the girl hooked to the ceiling like a punching bag - or maybe a fish on a hook would be more appropriate for his sadistic mind. He laughed and traced her lovely face, his index finger making its way up to her eye. Suddenly, he plunged the finger deep into her eye, twisting it and wrenching screams of agony from the poor girl's lips. And then he stopped, shaken. His muscles tensed and a feeling that - by the look on his face - could only be described as pleasure seized him. When the feeling ended he sighed heatedly and licked his lips, looking the girl up and down. "One minute, darling. I've got to take care of something." he excused himself above her raucous, heart wrenching sobs. As tears of blood stained her beauty, he danced over to the door and twirled outside, singing a little tune to himself as he waltzed down the hallway and into his office, where two of his clones awaited him. "Sir! One of our clones has been killed by the girl, sir!"

"Blue… I like her, you know?"
"Yes, sir!" they said with sly smiles. He grinned at them and spun into his chair, smoothly lifting his feet to place them on the desk and stroking his chin with a hand. "Cause of death?"

"Electrocution. Our own gloves, sir. She took that and a revolver from her prison just before - "

"Yen deserted and killed one of us - yes, I know. Go make more." he demanded, waving them away with a jolly laugh. They returned the laugh and were off to go create more clones of the Master, making it impossible to tell which one was real or which one was fake. Before they could leave, he called one of them over and grinned. "Actually, we need to get us electrocuted more often, don't you think?"

"Oh, yes sir."

"Get on it, then!" he laughed. He turned to his computer and selected a certain playlist, making a certain song play through his entire headquarters - Brave, by A Particularly Vicious Rumor.

My navigator, well she is obliged,

And she'd promise me, she'd stay by my side.

She's the only one who sees this ship is going down,

And she's the only one, who's not afraid to, she's not afraid to drown.

I was in pain, one eye swelling shut, and both of them nearly blinded, and the ringing in my ears didn't help. It took a while, too long in fact for me to get up and try to rub my eyes. Now I know that that probably wasn't the wisest choice, but I was terrified. I felt like I was blind and deaf. I kept on rubbing them, hoping beyond rational hope that they would see well again. Spots were dotting my vision, and there were tons of different colors moving around like oil. I touched the lump under my right eye and grimaced. The ringing in my ears felt like it was entering my skull, the way the drums had. No! Don't think about it right now! But I couldn't help it. And with those memories, came the images of Yen and the Master falling out the window.

Okay, you're done moping. Get moving! I forced my legs to take one step forward. Two steps. I was scared to death. I only had three truly working senses to help me.

The Doctor stared into Rose's now golden eyes. "Rose…" he rasped, rubbing the golden tears trickling off of her eyes. "I am Bad Wolf." she replied, indifferent to the affection. He inched closer to her. "Yeah, I get that, but where's Rose? Is she okay?"

"I - Help me, Doctor."

"I'm going to. Don't worry."

"It hurts."

"I know. I know… oh, yes. I know it hurts. You've got to pull through for Rose."

He pressed his forehead to hers again and she seemed to shake out of her stupor. "Doctor?"

"Rose?"
"What happened?"

"You touched me. You stupid, thick human, you touched me."

"I - I'm sorry. You fell, and I didn't think."

"I know you didn't think. Are you okay?"

She rubbed her head, misplacing some of her shining blonde hair. "Yeah… I think so. I've got a well bad headache, but I think I'm alright." she smiled bravely.

The Doctor smiled a little. "You better be." She flashed a nervous grin at him. "Yeah, yeah, I think I will be."

I wound around the corners of the Master's headquarters and rolled my eyes to myself as a song suddenly blaring on the intercom startled me.

He said this time, you better listen to me girl,

Cause I know, what's best for you.

And whatever you do,

Just don't try, to be brave.

I rolled my eyes again at the Master's message and cautiously kept continuing. I moved one step at a time, my eyes still sucking and my ears still ringing. I hoped that the Doctor and Rose were still alive and getting healed. They'd looked awful, and I couldn't tell whether they'd live or not. But then I felt a weird vibe in the ground, but I looked around too late. There were at least ten Masters behind me. I let loose with the glove and I shot three of them, but the remaining seven were too many, and one of them clocked me on the head. As I was going under, all I could think was, seriously? I'm getting captured again?

The Masters brought me up a flight of stairs - after they'd confiscated my weapons, of course - and shoved me into another Master's office. Is he the real one? He had music blaring from speakers and was lounging in a plush leather office chair, and his look sorta disgusted me. He looked like he was climaxing, and he wore an expression of utter pleasure as the music pounded in the background.

Some people say I want you for you money

I really want you for your body

I grimaced. What the hell kinda song was he listening to? When he was finished… doing whatever he was doing he started jamming out to the song and singing along.

This won't get any easier

Now that your heart is beating in my hand

I'll try not to destroy you, baby

Even though we both know I can

Oh, you know I can

The Masters guarding me cleared their throats, but it wasn't heard above the music, and the Master - his eyes closed - raised from his chair and snatched my hands, dancing around the office with me. I tried to pull away but his grip on me was too strong, so I had to grudgingly oblige.

Make love with the lights on, baby

Tell me what you see

Clear the bed to lie on, darlin'

Make a mess of me

Here's my dress to try on, baby

Let me be your man

I will call you pretty, darlin'

Tell me what I am

I grimaced again. Gross! What the hell? He twirled me into the seat and dismissed the other Masters, turning the music down but not off, and it was still audible. I glanced at the speakers and he leaned back, feet on the desk and hands folded as he sucked in his cheeks thoughtfully. That's really hot. Wait, what! No, ew, stop! He sighed and spun himself around boredly, then laughed out loud. "Blue! I have missed you! And, you know, I did enjoy that little electrocution you put my clones through." he giggled. My face shriveled up in disgust. So that's what he was doing? Gross! I shrugged. "It's the best I could do. I'm glad it caused you so much… pleasure." I recoiled at the thought of it. "What the hell was the deal with that disgusting song!" I cried. He laughed and shrugged. "What can I say?" he chuckled wickedly. I pulled at my hair. "Well, you could've turned it off!" I snapped. "And what would be the fun in that?"

I looked around the room and saw ropes dangling off the ceiling, like he'd hung someone there. When I looked lower, I found the still-warm body of a dead girl. Her eyes were gouged out and her once-pretty face was grotesque, locked in an eternal scream. Bloody tears were dried on her pale cheeks. I wanted to puke. "Oh my God! What the hell did you do to her?" I cried. He casually looked over his shoulder and shrugged. "Oh, her? I was bored." he replied nonchalantly, waving the matter away as if it was nothing. I stared at him. "Are you the real deal, or just another clone?"

The Master leaned forward, so close I could smell rotting flesh on his breath. What did he do with her eyes? I shivered. "Oh, I'm more real than you would prefer." he hissed. I shivered. "Oh. Oh... I see. How'd you know Yen would rebel?"

"You humans. You're all as thick as the other one. Yen's human, but he's specially bred just for you. So, obviously, I planned ahead. I'm not as stupid as you are, you stunted ape."

"Hey!" I shouted. "Was that whole reason even real?"

He laced his fingers together. "Partially. You do have 'special features' but no telekinesis. That would be silly."

"What're the special features?"

"Sorry! Can't tell! Against the rules, darling."

"What rules?"

The Master didn't reply, only looked at me with his piercing caramel eyes and his sucked-in cheeks that made me blush.

"Oh, I see! You just don't wanna tell me!"

"Is there a problem?"

"Yes! I need my memory back!"

"Ah. Funny things, memories." he got up from his chair and began circling around his desk to the back of my chair, gripping the leather back fiercely. I sat completely still, like he would strike if I moved. Suddenly, he spun me around and crouched in front of me, his hands now gripping my arms that rested on the arms of the chair, and he stared into my eyes intently. I held his gaze, pressing me against the back of the chair to get as far away from him as possible. In my mind, the image of the girl flashed and I trembled. "But your memories… oh, what a life you had! How delicious is that?"

"I - I don't know what you're talking about."

"No. No, no, no. No. You don't. But why? Why him? Yen was in love with you, so why that boy?"

I swallowed vomit in the back of my throat. "Wh - what boy?"

"Who is he, Blue? How could a fake human be in love? I didn't create him to love. So what's so special about Blue? Who is Blue Destiel?"

I thought it best not to answer, so that's what I did. I stayed silent. He stared at me for the longest amount of time, and I began to sweat. "I... I dunno what you're talking about!" I cried, ready to sock him or something. He stared at me for a minute more and then twirled away, turning the volume up again. The awful song was over by now, but a new song was playing. He danced to the song, seeming to forget I was even there, and I couldn't help but stare at the way he could move his hips. Damn… wait, no, stop! He's trying to kill me! He kills people, you sicko! I looked away and cleared my throat. "So… is there a reason I'm here?" I wondered, my voice cracking. He stopped dead and stared me down. "Right, yes. Erm, I've got to either win you over, clone you, or kill you. Now, two out of three are very painful, but one is not painful at all and completely consensual."

"Why do you have to do all that? Is there a reason?"

He smiled a little. "Well, of course there is."

I was starting to get very, very, impatient. "Then what is it? Just tell me!" I cried. His eyebrows raised. "Now, where's the fun in that? No, you'll have to find out for yourself!" I glared at him.

"I need to know! Now, tell me!" I screamed. Quicker than a striking snake, his hand reached out and snatched my throat, squeezing harder and harder with every second. I could feel my face turning purple and I began to flail, finding panic in my gut. He licked his lips and stared at me intently, and then released my neck, leaving me to gasp for air. I took sharp, ragged deep breaths. "What... Was... That... For?" I wheezed. A fierce headache thrummed through my head, but it wasn't the drums. Maybe this is just one of his clones… the drums are gone. "Don't test me." he hissed. I glared at him, trying to shoot daggers out of my eyes. He laughed and nodded, and then stood tall. "That's my girl. Go find the Doctor and his little sex-toy, get them, the TARDIS, and this ape and put them in intensive care. And make intensive care more… intensive, would you? Oh, don't forget to electrocute some clones, lovelies." he winked at his clones. They smirked and turned on their heels, grabbing me by my biceps and dragging me out of the office and back down to intensive care. Again.
