Girl That You Love~Panic!AtTheDisco

At six o'clock sharp Mikan's eyes open slightly. She glanced over at her clock and then at Aoi who was still snuggled in the blankets beside her. She rolled out of bed quietly to not wake up the sleeping figure and slipped into a light pink leotard and gray shorts. She unplugged her iPod from where it was charging and opened the door carefully and padded down the stairs. She silently went out the front door and stepped onto the wet grass with her bare feet. She stretched a bit knowing far too well the consequences of not warming up. She placed her ear buds in her ears and pressed shuffle on the playlist containing her favorite songs. She closed her eyes and listened to the beat for a second before opening them again and starting with her made up unrehearsed moves.

She liked this time of day because no one was up. She used to love being looked at and causing all kinds of emotions but now she hated any kind of an audience. She smiled to herself as she sped up the dance to the song that rang through her ears. She moved with little trouble across her lawn. Little did she know her unique movements had caught an onlookers attention unintentionally, although she was too caught up in her own world to notice his eyes followed her every movement.

From across the street a pair of crimson eyes fluttered open. He groaned at the thirst he had suddenly felt in his throat and that had awakened him. He climbed down from the top bunk where he had spent the night onto the cold tile floor and had a sudden urge to look out the window. He saw a small moving figure down below that he didn't instantly recognize. He watched her body move to whatever she was listening to and it made him feel light. Natsume had an unexpected desire to move along with her and join her in whatever world she was because it sure as hell seamed better than where he stood.

Natsume continued to watch and as the time passed light began to shinning through the window and hit Ruka's face, he groaned as he began to awaken. He saw Natsume standing by the window with the slightly opened curtain, in only his tight grey Calvin Klein briefs that perfectly outline his bum and his...(well, lets not go there yet.)

"What the hell, Natsume what are you doing?" Ruka asked in his low sleepy voice rubbing the tired out of his eyes.

Natsume didn't bother replying because he was too busy admiring the graceful moving form below. After a couple of seconds of silence Ruka finally stood and went to the other side of the window to see what had stunned Natsume into an unusual silence. He saw his life long neighbor doing what she does better than anyone he knows, "Good to see she still does what she loves," he said stifling a yawn. "She was the best in our class when we were younger," he continued before moving away and picking up his basket ball shorts.

"Why did she stop," Natsume asked slowly coming back from his daze but still not removing his eyes from the person beyond the window.

Ruka frowned slightly, "She was really excited about our recital, I mean she was going to be the star. She knew her mom wasn't going to make it, but her dad and grandpa had promised her they'd be there. And they were always the loudest when the audience was aloud to cheer. They cheered for her and for everyone as well. Well that day when she went on stage she didn't see them or hear them. and she had really wanted them to be there because at the previous recital she'd messed up and she'd promised to be better this time. But they never showed up and then she never showed up at class again."

"So she quit because her dad didn't go to her recital?"

"No, she quit because she couldn't show him what she could do. Her dad and grandpa died that day and she just forgot the purpose to it all and refused to dance in front of anyone again."

"Why doesn't she do it in the back yard?"

"Because her pool takes up most of the space and by the looks of it she looks like she'd fall in she goes to another place when she dances."

"I can tell. Hmm by the way did she have classes with us last year," Natsume asked casually as he watched the girl. He could tell she was about to finish.

Ruka turned to him with his eyes narrowed. When Natsume looked at him in confusion his eyes nearly rolled out of their sockets. "Are you seriously asking this after you made a huge deal about her legs and her chocolate and I told you her name and you said it over and over again?"

"That's the girl who wouldn't even look at me or when she would all she'd was roll her eyes!"

"Yup that's the one. The one and only Mikan Sakura."

"Yeah I know her name but shit, that's her? This is gonna be harder than expected, is hse off limits?" He had to ask after Ruka's earlier response to his question.

"Nah, I stapped liking her back in fifth grade when I started talking with Imai. Although I think you might have some competition, some junior is really close to her so if I were you I would make my move as soon as possible," Ruka said before walking out of his room and leaving Natsume alone to continue his gawking.

Mikan had finished her morning routine and now lay on the grass with the dew sipping through her leotard. Her legs burnt and she was panting, but she didn't mind I she'd always loved that feeling. Her hair had come loose from the bun it had been confined in and it was now sprawled around her head. Her eyes sparkled and it seemed that she was smiling at the world. The rising sun above her made her skin glow and from across the street Natsume couldn't help but wonder if this is what she would look like laying on his bed after a make-out session with him.

Natsume thought he'd get an erection if he didn't stop looking at her before he backed away from the window the colour blue caught his eye. He saw the blue haired guy approach her and help her up. They began talking and she laughed at something he'd said then it looked as if she was asking for something with her big eyes and her pouty lips. Natsume figured he agreed when she saw her smile and jump up to hug him. She gave him a peck on the cheek and skipped back inside her house.

After a while the guy turned around looking up and straight at Natsume. His eyes narrowed and they glared at each other for a few minutes before he guy below lifted his lef hand middle finger at him before jogging back in the direction he'd come from.

Ruka came back into the room with freshly cooked breakfast, "Oi, are you done staring?"

"Is my competition a blue haired old man, because if it is I am offended that you even think he stands a chance against me," Natsume blurted out finally stepping away from the window.

"Mikan doesn't only go for looks and yeah I think so why?"

"Tch, whatever. He flipped me off but he probably won't tell her I was looking because he was enjoying the view from a distance too."

Ruka shrugged, "Are you actually interested in her because I've known her since we were still in diapers and she's got some violent friends that hate to see her cry."

"Is that a warning or a threat?" Natsume smirked taking a piece of toast from Ruka's plate.

"Little bit of both, she's like the younger sister I never had ya know. I have to ask though why the sudden interest this is new you never chase girls and don't tell me it's because you're bored that would be the biggest lie."

"How about I tell you my intentions IF she ever dumps me," Natsume finally decided to put on some pants.

"That's if you even get her but alright its a bet." Ruka shook Natsume's hand.

Later that morning Mikan had made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and was now making homemade pizzas and baking cookies for when Yo-chan and Tsubasa arrived. She set the cookies on the counter to cool and changed into a plain white sun dress and white flats. She returned downstairs and helped Aoi place a flower in her hair that she had been having trouble with. "So summery," the girls giggled and Mikan grabbed the cookies and headed for the front door. She opened her door to find his finger hovering the door bell..."Oh, it's you."
