A/N: Wow, I am so sorry for the 8 months I have taken off from writing this story! Life has been so hectic! However I hope this chapter is a good enough apology. I should have another up in the next few weeks! Thanks to everyone who has followed and reviewed this story! Like always, please share this story and let me know what you think! Thanks!

Endymion insisted that he knew of a place back on Earth, and even though it worried me to keep traveling back and forth I knew that he was probably the keenest on places to train. When we landed back in Elysion, he led us to the back of his rose garden. There I could see a familiar cave, which he seemed to be leading us towards. "Endymion, do you expect us to fight in a small cave?" He turned towards me and smiled, whilst shaking his head.

"Why of course not, come and see." I walked towards him and entered the cave, seeing a small hatch in the very back. "This cave is manmade, it hides the training facilities of our generals and myself." He opened the hatch to reveal a set of stairs. I turned to see Princesses Jupiter and Venus come behind us.

"Prince Endymion, if you don't mind," Jupiter started, "we would like to go first. No offense, but considering our Princess has already been attacked twice due to your generals, we have a slight distrust." Endymion nodded in understanding and extended his hand in invitation. Venus and Jupiter walked slowly down the small staircase. I could hear them walk around for a few minutes before they yelled up an all clear. I walked down the stairs to see a large room, obviously spanning the entire underside of Endymion's castle. It was nearly all stone, with weapons mounted on the walls and smaller separate rooms towards the back. I turned towards Jupiter to see her face light up like the sun, obviously excited to be able to train in such a vast faculty. I walked towards the wall to pick up a weapon that I had never seen before, in fact the only weapon I had ever seen was a blade. I turned to Endymion with an obviously puzzled look on my face, as he chuckled and came to my side.

"It's a bow and arrow, you shoot the arrow at an opponent." He picked up the wooden stick with the pointed tip at the end and held it out to me. "This is the arrow, you place it in the nook at the wooden part of the bow with the tip pointing outward, and then you place the end of the arrow against the bowstring. You hold it lightly with three fingers, pull it back, aim, and shoot your target." Mars came over, smiled, and picked up the bow. I watched as she easily shot the bow across the room, hitting the target on the other end.

"This," she said, "is a personal favorite of mine. Would you like me to teach you?" I shook my head, a little overwhelmed by the contraption. "Well you'll have to learn to use a weapon of some sort, have anything in mind?"

"Well, I have only really ever seen a sword in use until now, maybe I could learn to use that?" I watched Endymion raise an eyebrow in my direction. He and Mars both looked at each other with a scared look on their faces.

"How about," Endymion started as he walked towards me, "we start you off slowly with hand-to-hand combat?" I sighed, feeling as if there would be no way of winning this argument. I nodded my head and watched Princess Jupiter walk towards me. "You want me to train with Jupiter? She is the best in hand to hand combat in our kingdom! And you think it'll be dangerous for me to wield a sword?" I saw Jupiter smile, and turn towards Endymion.

"I was thinking I would watch and give directions while you tried against Endymion. Most likely you'll have to fight a man, this would be the best way for you to learn." Jupiter came and put her hand on my shoulder, "you'll do just fine, I promise." I nodded and looked towards Endymion who was taking off his armor. I blushed as I saw him remove his shirt and revealed his chest and stomach. I must have looked like a fool because I heard chuckles out of my Guardians and I saw a smile curve up on Endymion's lips. Jupiter leaned down and whispered in my ears, "Princess, is this your first time seeing a shirtless man before?" I gave Jupiter my best attempt at a glare and all I heard back was a round of laughter. I felt as if my face was on fire, I had to be as red as a Ruby.

Endymion walked towards me and outstretched his hand as if to shake mine. "Shall we?" He asked, he still had that smirk on his face and I had an urge to slap it off.

"Prince Endymion I will remind you that it isn't nice to mock a Princess, especially one that is about to fight you!" He just shook his head and smiled wider. "Now then, don't go easy on me because I am a girl."

"I wouldn't dream of it."

After three hours of training, I could tell that Serenity was exhausted. After finally grasping the concept of blocking and kicking at the same time, she was able to actually land a few painful kicks to my legs. With Jupiter's help, she was now able to hit, kick, and block, as well as move around more graceful than before. However, I was still worried about taking her into battle. She may had been able to hit me, but she had no true fear of me. But I knew with a true enemy she would freeze. I refused to train her on a weapon, knowing that if she froze in battle she would wind up putting that weapon in the hands of the enemy. I looked over at her and couldn't help but feel the need to hold her. She was worn down, physically and mentally, and you could see it written on her face. She was smiling in conversation with Princesses Venus and Mercury, however her eyes held a sadness that I wished I could make go away.

It was a sadness I could remember seeing in my mother's own last days, when the grief of losing my father had taken over her mind. I couldn't make my mother's sadness go away, I was too young and honestly didn't understand it then. However now was my chance to save the only person I loved, the only person who took my own sadness away. Sure there had been women before her, but they never filled the hole left in my heart. They had mostly kept the loneliness away temporarily and some made me feel lonelier than before. Serenity was much more than that, and I would never let someone take her away from me.

I walked towards her and placed a hand on the small of her back, for the first time since we had gotten here I saw her fully relax. That's when I knew that I did the same for her as she did for me, we erased each other's pain. "Why don't we get some food in your stomach? I have an amazing cook, he can make anything your heart desires." I watched as she smiled, although it never quite reached her eyes. Getting her to eat was going to be an uphill battle as upset as she was. To my surprise though, she wholeheartedly agreed with the idea.

"I am starved! I doubt I've ever done this much physical activity in life, and I know everyone else must be hungry as well. I think it is a great idea to sit down and eat, as a family." I smiled down at her, glad she saw us all as a family just as I did. "Plus, we need to see if the rest of your Shitennou found Nephrite." I nodded and took her hand and led her out of my underground training center. When we walked outside I could sense Kunzite in the vicinity. After the rest of the Princesses stepped outside I saw Kunzite step out from behind a tree, he had a solemn look on his face as he approached us.

"Sire, Nephrite is nowhere to be found. None of us can feel him here at Elysion or on the Moon Kingdom grounds. We have reason to believe that he is with the enemy, and that they are neither on Earth or the Moon." I nodded, disappointed that he was with the enemy but happy that atleast temporarily he wasn't going to be putting Serenity and her guardians in danger.

"Well Kunzite, it seems that there is nothing more we can do at the moment. Why don't you gather the rest of the Shitennou and join us in the dining room. I believe it is time that we had dinner." He nodded and left. I looked down and saw the worried look on Serenity's face, but knew that she needed a distraction. "I want to show you something, do you mind?" She shook her head and I took her hand. I walked her inside and upstairs into the attack that held my parents' tombs.

"What is this place?" She looked around and then back to me, I could see that she had a smidgen of curiosity in her eyes, and I hadn't seen that since she was kidnapped.

"This is technically where my parents' tombs are held, but this also doubles as a study for me. I come here every day to speak to my mother. I wanted you to know that you are not alone in your grief, I can completely understand your feelings."

"If you don't mind me asking…what happened to them?" I could see sadness in her eyes, and a small amount of pity. It was a look I knew well and couldn't stand. I sighed and sat down on a large chair and tapped my lap for her to come sit down with me. As she sat down I wrapped both arms around her petite waist.

"I was never keen as to what happened to my father, I only know he died in battle. My mother however, committed suicide. Not long after my father's death in fact, she slowly drained away. They had an arranged marriage but I know she did truly love him, when the grief became too much for her she took his sword and plunged it into her stomach. I stood right in front of her as she did so, that image will never leave my brain. It was as if she didn't even see me, and I don't think she did. Her eyes were blank, as if her soul was hollow." She turned towards me and put her hand against my cheek.

"I never knew…" I mustered a smile and looked her in the eyes.

"It's not something I share with many people, only Kunzite knows that I witnessed her death. He was the one who found us, I had been sitting in a pool of her blood for a while before he did. "

"How old were you when she passed?"

"4, it was a year to the date after my father died. I don't remember him at all. And I still only remember fragments of her. Sometimes I wonder if they are my memories or things that I made up that I now believe. I can remember her ranting about your kingdom and banning interaction between our kingdoms. Though, after meeting you and learning of your mother I highly doubt that was true. I couldn't imagine a reason why we couldn't meet." Serenity laid her head against my chest and sighed.

"I don't know much, only that your father killed my grandparents. My mother swore that she put the ban in place to keep us safe from the king. You weren't even born yet though when that happened. Whatever happened between our kingdoms has obviously been told differently to everyone, I wouldn't mind getting to the bottom of the story." I stroked her hair and felt her relax against my chest.

"The past doesn't matter, I will be crowned King soon and I believe my first order of business will be to take that ban off the books. I think it is time to show our kingdoms that Moon and Earth can coexist happily." I saw her raise up and look at me.

"Crowned King soon? How soon?" I chuckled.

"Next month I will turn 18, the age in my kingdom one can become a ruler. Kunzite has acted as my proxy until then, but my coronation will be soon. Then you and I can finally bring peace to our kingdoms." She smiled up at me and then laid back down on my chest. Not long after I could feel her breathing slow as she slipped into sleep. I smiled down at her then looked at my parents tombs. "I understand now Mother, why you left this world the way you did. Life would be far too painful without Serenity by my side, much like life was painful for you. If I ever lost her as you did Father, I am sure I would take my life on the spot." I kissed the top of her head and said a silent prayer that it would never come to that.

I drifted off to dreamland in Endymion's arms. However, in the dream I was back at the same castle as in my last nightmare. Only this time there was no little girl, only me. Then suddenly I heard an unfamiliar voice.

"Serenity, you will be the end of him. You must leave him be, he will be better off without you." Shocked, I shouted into the void, "who is this?! Show yourself!" I turned around in a circle looking for the voice that came to me.

"I am someone that knows your future. If you and Endymion stay together it will be the end of not only you both, but also your kingdoms. Leave him, and everyone you know, or else." Suddenly I heard the explosion again and looked on to see the castle from my nightmares engulfed in flames. I could make out Endymion's silhouette in the smoke and could see his hands reaching for me. Just then the castle collapsed on him, and it was in that moment I knew that this was my future and I would be the end of the one I loved. I would have to find a way to save him, even if it meant the end of me.
