"Driector Coulson!" I yell for what seems like the millionth time, "Please let us go! We can help!"
"It is true sir; with our help our parents may be able to turn the tides on this fight."
"Gracie's right, come on Coulson, just let us fight!" Apollo agreed.
"Yeah Director Coulson, this is what we've been training for!" Ethan argued.
Brian sighed, "As much as I hate to agree with them, I don't think they're wrong."
"See even Brian agrees…" Bucky started.
"Enough!" Coulson yelled, "I am not sending six children into the battle field."
"Director," a S.H.I.E.L.D agent whispered "we have lost sight of the Avengers."
"What?"
"They have disappeared."
"I… a…"
I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Fine." he looked at me, "as much as it pains me to say this, you win. A2, head out."
"I turned to my team and smiled, I turned on my earpiece, "Artemis to Homebase, "
Jenna's voice came through crystal clear, "This is Homebase, what do you need."
"We've been deployed, be on standby."
"Roger that. Good Luck team."
When I looked up again something very important was missing, "Where's Ethan?"
My team looked at their shoes, "um," Apollo stepped up, "he left."
"He what?"
"He just took off."
I groaned, "Grace-Ann, go back him up, everyone else, to the jet."
As we split up I noticed my brother kiss Gracie out of the corner of my eye, "Come on love birds, let's go!"
My brother and best friend broke apart and started to blush, Apollo walked over to me, "Thanks a lot Artemis."
"Call that revenge for making fun of me and Ethan." I smirked.

Location: New York City, New York
I looked down over New York, the city was in shambles. There was dust and debris everywhere. I could hear people screaming. As Apollo and I landed the jet I noticed Gracie and Ethan all ready fighting as many bad guys (they look like Hydra) as they could. In the distance, I saw that the Avengers Tower was still un-touched, thanks to the force-field Uncle Tony had in place. I was glad to see that it was ok, after all, Homebase was in there.
We opened the jet and ran out, "Apollo," I yelled, "You and Bucky try and find Loki, I think the people fighting us are Hydra, they must have teamed up! I'm going to find Mom, Dad and the others!"
"Ok! Be careful!"
"You too!" I watched as they ran off, I turned to Brian, "Time to suit up."
"Yeah, I figured… what do you want me to do?"
"Take out as many as you can, and watch the other's backs."
"Will do, Tell my dad I say Hi."
I chuckled, "Ok, good luck."
"You too."
I ran over to the highest, still standing I could find and shot a grappling hook arrow up. Once on top, I could see everything.
"Artemis to homebase."
"Yes?" came Jenna's voice.
"Tell Sarah to head out, we could use some more areal assistance."
"Will do, anything else?"
"Any luck finding the Avengers?"
"Well, according to Jarvis my dad is just below you…"
I could practically hear her eyes roll as I looked down and saw the Avengers in the alley just beneath me. "Thanks Jenna. "
"Don't mention it."
I looked twords the Avengers Tower and saw Sarah flying out. "Gracie, I just deployed your sister, keep an eye on her."
"Okie dokie capin'"
"Thanks Gracie."
Just as I was about to go and join my parents and the others I heard a loud crash. The building I was on shook and I almost fell on my face, but I caught myself with my arms. When I got back up, I looked over the ledge and saw Loki facing my parents and the others, who all appeared to be unconscious, except Thor.
"Loki no!"
"Sorry brother, it must be done."
"Loki!"
There was a blinding flash, I ducked down as the ground began to shake. I looked up, and saw a beam of light go right over my head.
Apollo's worried voice came over the com, "Artemis, are you ok? What just happened?"
"I'm fine. But I have no idea…"
"Artemis, the Shields are failing." Jessie's voice yelled.
"Jenna, can you fix them?"
"Don't you think I'm trying!"
"Ethan, can you help her? Ethan? Ethan Stark!"
"I do not see him." Grace-Ann's voice said, I could tell she was worried.
"Grace, Sarah, find him! Apollo, get Brian to take his suit off so he can help them!"
"On it!" a chorus of voices responded.
As soon as the ground stopped shaking I peered over the edge. When I saw the Avengers, they looked still, too still.
"Everyone, stay clear of this area until I say."
"Why?" Sarah asked.
"Just do it! Understood?"
"Yes…"
I raced down as fast as I could, "Mom, Dad?" I slid down on the ground next to my parents. I checked their breathing, nothing. "Mom! Dad!"I began to cry as I crawled over to my Uncle Tony, "Uncle Tony?" I punched my override code into the suit and it turned into a briefcase. "Uncle Tony?" He wasn't breathing either. I grabbed the case and crawled over to my Uncle Thor, his hammer was gone and he wasn't breathing either. Neither was my Uncle Bruce. I began to cry harder, "Uncle Steve?"
"Artemis?" he whispered hoarsely.
"Uncle Steve! Lie still I'm going to call medical!"
"No time" he coughed.
"Don't say that!"
"Artemis, you need to call an evac."
"No! I won't leave you!" I sobbed.
"Artemis, there is nothing you can do for us" he coughed harder, "You have to protect your team."
"But Uncle Steve."
"I know it's hard, but you're strong. Loki is too powerful right now. If you go to the shelter…" he coughed again, "he may think you are dead and won't expect an attack. You still have a chance to win this war."
"But we need you, all of you. What are we going to do without you? What about S.H.I.E.L.D and Fury and Coulson, and Hill and Aunt Pepper and Fly and Uncle Bucky and Skye and…"
"Artemis. I know you don't want too," he coughed, "but you need to protect your team, you kids are the world's last hope."
I looked down at him, tears in my eyes, "All right."
"Good Girl. I'm proud of you, and your parents would be too."
I held back a sob as I turned on my comm. "Everyone this is emergency Evac 115. You are to grab your gear and we will rendezvous at the shelter."
"What about the Avengers?" Sam asked softly.
"The Avengers," I took a deep breath, "are down. We have to go."
"What!"
"Now! Go!"
"It's not you're call Artemis!" Jenna screamed, "I. Will. Not. Leave. My. Dad!"
"You think I like this? Because I don't! But it's not my order Jenna, it's Uncle Steve's!"
I heard crying and sniffling as my team listened.
"Artemis!"
"What Grace-Ann?"
"Ethan is down!"
"What? Is he alive?"
"Barely."
"Take him to the shelter! Brian, be ready to treat him."
"But I can't…"
"Brian. You can and you will."
"Ok…"
"Jenna, get Bucky, Sam, Jessie, and Brian, take your Dad's jet and get out of here! Apollo, meet me in the Avengers tower, we have some things to do."
"Ok." Apollo's stark voice replied, I could tell he was holding back tears.
"Artemis!" Jenna's voice cut through again, "I don't want to..."
"Jenna." Uncle Steve coughed into his comm, "There's nothing you'll be able to do." he coughed again, harder this time, "Trust me. Now listen to Artemis," he smiled at me, "she knows what she's doing."
"ok" Jenna whispered, with a shaky voice.
I could hear the jet as it flew off and I saw Grace, holding Ethan, and Sarah following it.
My Uncle Steve looked at me, "Go. It's ok."
"But what about you?"
"I won't be here much longer."
"But…"
"Just go Artemis." he whispered, gesturing for me to take his shield.
I grabbed his Shield and strapped it to my back. I picked up my parent's weapons and looked back at my Uncle, his eyes were closed. I knew he was gone. I bent down and gave each of my parents a kiss on the cheek. "I will do everything I can to make sure we get out of this. I promise, we won't let you down."
I put my Uncle Tony's briefcase on the ground and stepped on it. Safely inside the Iron Man suit I began to fly to the tower. "Apollo? Are you there?"
"Yeah."
"Start downloading all the tech to the emergency USB. We can't let it fall into the wrong hands."
"All ready on it."
"Thanks, I'll be there in a sec."
I then sighed and commed Director Coulson.
"Sir I ordered and Evac."
"I know."
"The Avengers are dead."
"I know that too."
"Apollo and I are going to download all the Stark tech then I'm sealing my team in the shelter."
"Are you sure this is what you want to do?"
"Honesty, no, but it was an order."
"From who?"
"Captain America."
He sighed, "I see. You kids be careful."
"You too sir."
I shut my com of as I landed on the tower.
"Nice Suit." Apollo whispered.
"Thanks. It's a rental." I smiled at him weakly.
I grabbed my phone. "Be right back."
"I'll be here."
I dialed the familiar number of one of my best friends.
"Hello?"
"Fly?"
"Artemis! Oh my God, are you guys ok!?"
"Define ok."
"Right, I'm so sorry about the Avengers."
"Thanks but that's not why I called."
"What's up?"
"I'm about to lock my team in the shelter and I need you do something for me while we're gone."
"Sure, anything, I owe you."
"I need you to take my Aunt Sharon, Aunt Jane, Aunt Pepper, Aunt Betty, Ms. Darcy, Fury, the council, Hill, Coulson, May, Skye, Fitz, Simmons, Triplett, and any other S.H.I.E.L.D agents you can gather and get out of here."
"And go where? The world is in chaos!"
"You need to go to Asguard."
"But can't Loki get there."
"Not particularly."
"Explain."
"Once you get there have Aunt Jane order Hemidell to close the Biofrost. That way, Loki won't be able to leave Midguard."
"Then how will we get home?"
"When this is all over, Grace and Sarah will send a signal and Hemidell will open the Biofrost and send you home."
"But how do you know it will work?"
"Aunt Jane is the wife of a prince I'm pretty sure…"
"Not that! Fury, the council, Hill, Coulson and the S.H.I.E.L.D agents will never leave earth!"
"Make them. I will not lose anyone else out here."
"Ok… I'll do what I can."
"Thank you Fly. I owe you one."
"Artemis, you saved my life and gave me a family, I'm the one that owes you."
"Not after this."
"Be careful Artemis."
"You too Fly."
I hung up the phone and looked at Apollo who held up the USB.
"Let's head out."
