Chapter 21: Boys will be Boys

The sextuplet boys were huddled in the back garden discussing attack ideas, on a hot day. "I say we take him from the front of the house." Josh suggested. "I mean there are all those bushes we can hide in with the water bombs, and he'll never see it coming!"

"That's a good idea Josh." Cameron exclaimed. "We can also use them for storage so he'll never find them and like you said he most defiantly won't see it coming." The three boys nodded together as Troy plopped down next to Cam.

"Who won't see what coming?" he asked them, eyeing them all individually as they looked to the ground. They laughed nervously and looked at each other. "Freddie," Chad mumbled quietly. "We're going to attack Freddie with water balloons in a bit." Chad smiled at Troy satisfied with his answer. The other boys nodded in agreement, when Freddie emerged from the back door with drinks for all the boys.

"Guys!" he called. "You sorted out a plan to get Dad with the water bombs yet? He'll be back soon."

Troy stood up and waved at Freddie. "Thanks bud." then he turned to the other boys. "You are busted." he told them as he wandered back towards the house. Freddie sat down where Troy was and handed out the water bottles. "Sorry, I didn't see him there. We can always plan to get Mom?" he suggested.

"Yeah, unless you want a years grounding." Cameron mumbled.

"Just forget it." Josh said as he stood up. "At least we had fun planning." The others nodded and stood up, Josh rounded the corner of the house where Troy was waiting with a bucket of water. When Josh emerged Troy through the water over him electing a squeal from the boys mouth. "Dad!" he cried. Then he turned to the others. "Its so on!" he called as the boys rushed towards Troy armed with water balloons and guns.

Troy dropped the bucket and raced around the house where he met Gabi hanging laundry on the line. "Troy?" She looked at him with a puzzled look as he took cover behind her. "Shh Brie." He told her. "Not here."

Gabriella raised an eyebrow in curiosity as her 4 boys raced around the corner loaded with water balloons. "Boys!" She called. "He's over here. But." She stopped them before they began to charge. "Away from my drying washing," she then turned to Troy. "Good luck babe." She winked at him as she moved out of the way revealing Troy and he darted out crossing the lawn trying to dodge the numerous water bombs being thrown at him. She chuckled and went back to hanging the laundry on the line.

It was a few minutes later when Cameron walked up to her, a water balloon in his hand and an innocent look on his face. Gabi turned to face him cautious of what might happen. "Cam," she said slowly. "What you up to bud?"

He merely shrugged and sat down by her feet. "Nothing Mom." He said. He fiddled with the balloon for a bit before it burst, water splashing over Gabriella's legs. "Whoops." He said before he stood up and ran off screaming "Dad, I got her!"

Gabriella chuckled, "so that's how you want to play." She muttered to herself.

Troy was round the front, playfully wrestling Josh to the ground, whilst Chad and Freddie were squirting water at him with their water guns. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Josh squealed as Troy got him to the ground and tickled his sides.

Cameron ran round the corner screaming, catching the attention of Troy and his siblings. "Dad, I got her! I got her!" He yelled. "Quick, quick. Hide in the bushes, hide in the bushes!"

Troy chuckled and got off Josh, "Quick boys, pick up your water balloons and got hide in the bushes, wait for my signal and we'll get your Mom when she comes round the corner for revenge."

"We're so dead," Freddie mumbled as he picked up three water balloons and he climbed into the bush by the side of the house. He stood by Cameron, who looked up at him. "I can't believe you actually did that."

Cam shrugged and placed his load on the floor by his feet. "She didn't seem bothered about it, I mean she laughed as I ran off." Both boys looked to the left as Chad and Troy climbed into the bush on the other side and Josh joined them in their bush, with a bucket and a water gun. "Dad and Chad have four water balloons, a bucket and two water guns." He stated. "So I grabbed a bucket and gun as you two have balloons." Freddie and Cam nodded, and they waited for Gabi to appear...

Gabi hung up the final piece of clothing and turned to walk into the house. She entered the kitchen and saw through the window Josh climb into the bush, "So that's where your hiding." She chuckled and walked into the hallway. "Logan!" She called to the only girl left in the house, as the others had gone out with Jack and Lucille, along with Hetty who was asleep.

Logan came out from the lounge. "Yeah?" She questioned.

Gabi pointed back to the kitchen. "Go grab a bucket, fill it with water, take it upstairs and find the window located above that bush." She pointed to the bush where she saw Josh climb in earlier. "Then wait for my signal and pour the water into the bush." The girl nodded.

"Are you trying to get the boys wet Mom?"

Gabriella nodded. "Yup, now quick before they get bored waiting."

Logan filled her bucket and quickly dashed upstairs whilst Gabi sorted out hers. She wandered around for a bit before she found Troy stood by the window in the bush the other side. She grinned and found the window upstairs above the bush.

"Ready Logi!" She called. "1,2,3. Pour!"

Troy was stood talking to Chad when he heard his wife call to Logan in the house.

"Pour!"

He looked up as a load of water splashed in his face. Chad squealed and looked up. Then they looked right as screams and squeals came from the boys in the other bush. "Logan!" They shouted.

Troy looked up again. "Brie!" He laughed as she shrugged.

"Sorry babe, didn't see you down there."

"Get your cute butt out here, it is so on!" He called. "Also bring out your teammate you both need to be punished." She disappeared from the window and Troy called the boys over. "Guys quick. Chad, Josh, Fred's, you take the back door. It's most likely Logan will come from there. Cam. Me and you are gonna get your mum from the front, so you stay in the bush over there with the bucket." The boys nodded. "You three take the guns and a few balloons, now go."

The boys quickly rushed to the back of the house where, like Troy said, Logan was slipping on her shoes. "Get her!" Freddie yelled as they squirted her with water. Logan laughed and squealed.

"There round the back Momma!" She screamed as she ran to the front, they boys chasing her. "Round the back!" She came to the front of the house and spotted the balloons laid in the open. She picked them up and started to fight back.

Gabi emerged from the front door, closing it silently behind her. She laughed as she saw the boys gang up against Logan. She walked forward a few steps when suddenly Troy and Cameron launched the water over her. She screamed and Cameron quickly ran off. "Wasn't my idea!" He called. Gabi chuckled and turned to Troy.

"You." She said playfully.

Troy shrugged. "Whoops, didn't see you there." He claimed as he approached her and pulled her to him by her hips. "Hmm," Troy mumbled. "I love you." He then kissed her and she responded before they were hit with a gush of water. They pulled apart and turned to see Freddie stood with the hose. He turned it off and looked at them both. "Uh oh," he muttered as he dropped it and ran off. "Guys run!" He called to the others.

Troy ran after him, and eventually caught him up. He picked up the boy and carried him to the backyard towards the pool. "Dad no," Freddie cried. But Troy had thrown the boy forward and he landed in the pool.

He surfaced with an annoyed look on his face before he burst out laughing. The others then came round and saw Freddie in the pool. Gabriella came up behind Troy and wrapped her arms around him. She placed a kiss on his back before she unwrapped her arms and pushed him forward into the pool where Freddie was now climbing out.

There was a chorus of cheers from the Garden. "Go Mom!" Chad shouted. Troy stood up and looked over at the children who squealed and ran off. "Mrs Bolton, you are going to" Troy started, but was interrupted by a cry.

Gabi turned to the house. "Hetty's up." She turned to head back. "We can finish this later, and the kids are in the bush over there," she pointed to the left of the house. "Sneak attack, good luck." She was taking her shoes off when she heard Troy run across the garden, yelling out to the kids. She chuckled. Boys will always be Boys.
