"The closer we get, the stronger we are."

Chapter 4

When she was ten years old, Jun was supposed to go camping for the first time. She and Daisuke had paid to go on their school's camping trip in the mountains. Unfortunately she didn't get to go.

The day before the two were supposed to go, Daisuke came down with a fever. A strong and persistent one that made him sleep for days. Her poor brother couldn't even go to the bathroom by himself, his face was all red and sloshy, and his eyes were sore and puffy.

Dasiuke had cried when he found out, Jun had decided to stay home with him instead. She could have gone camping without him, but chose not to. Daisuke hadn't realized how much his big sister truly loved him until then.

That summer, Jun had made an inside tent. The two of them would sit inside the tent and watch movies, they may have watched one accidental horror movie once. Daisuke had ended up sleeping in her sleeping bag that night.

Once Daisuke had got better, they were offered to go join the rest of the school, but they decided to stay home and watch more movies. That summer they had all kinds of surgery treats and fizzy drinks. Secretly it was the best summer Jun had ever had.

"It wasn't scary. Everyone else was scared, I wasn't." Taichi grinned smugly.

He his hands smoothly into his pockets and arching his back straight as he talked. His soft amber eyes glowed as he looked at the somewhat shorter punk girl next him, "I mean, I could feel the raw emotions off everyone. We were all so hungry and tried, we have been tracking through desert of what felt like days. So when Meramon came charging down towards the nice Yokomon village, we were petrified."

Jun titled her head, her eyes shifts to the ground in thought, "Meramon?" she questions in wonder.

Since it was her first time in the Digital World, Jun had only seen a select few Digimon. Penguinmon doesn't count as the little plump feathered bird was her partner.

Taichi's eyes flashes and his lips spread into a large 'o' shape, "Oh, right. You've never seen Meramon," he chuckled, shaking his head at his own stupidity.

He twists on the balls of his feet to walk ahead of Jun while facing her, "Meramon is a huge Digimon. He is much taller than a full grown man. Meramon is a flame Digimon whose name and body are derived from the onomatopoeia for burning. It is shrouded with crimson flames over its whole body. As a Digimon that was generated from the defensive "Firewall" that protects things like the Internet from illegal entries, it possesses a violent temperament like the flames that wrap its body, and tries to incinerate everything it touches. It has stronger fire power than the same species on File Island," the bushy brunette explained proudly and slightly smug.

Koushiro would most definitely be proud of him, Taichi surely did listen to the all the expirations the orange haired male spilled out, "They even say his is hotter than the sun!"

"Hotter than the sun?" Jun repeated stunned, eyes widening and looking up at the glowing fire ball above them.

She shifts little Chapmon in her arms, careful not to disturb her sleep.

"So what happened? This huge Digimon came charging down this hill, he was as hot as the sun and fully preparing to burn everything? How'd you make it out, then?" she questioned, feeling her heart skip a beat in her own anxiousness at listening to the story.

Taichi shook his head, his tan lips twitched into a smile, "No. Meramon isn't an evil Digimon. He is the protector, and he was just looking for help. Somehow his own flames were starting to hurt him, so he came to look for somebody to help. It wasn't his fault, he had one of Devimon's gears. The darkness gears effects a Digimon's code, it darkness their light, blocks it directly out." Taichi wheezed, lowering his head in a sadden thought.

"Black gears," Jun muttered out, shaking her head.

Her crimson eyes flickers down to the orange dinosaur walking along in daze, at his human side, loyal as ever. She smiles as the little Digimon looks up and nuzzles his snout against Taichi's hand, his emerald eyes sparkling beautiful.

Her red eyes dropped to the little green baby bird and sighed pleasantly. She had meet some really cute and beautiful Digimon and as well as some evil and twisted Digimon, her stomach twisted as she thought of the possibility of all the other creatures awaiting across this world.

Taichi made a soft goggle from the back of his throat, lifting his amber eyes and looking up at the sky.

"They're pure darkness. Burning evil that would destroy a Digimon's fractal code. They were the worse creation to be every made…" he murmured, tailing off in thought and his soft eyes becoming over glassed as his mind reeled back into a long forgotten memory.

Jun felt her heart clench at the expression on Taichi's face, she couldn't help but wonder just what the boy had been through.

Jun shook her head, her eyes becoming half-lidded as she stared at the soft colored trail underneath their feet. Had they really gone through so much hell to save the Digital World? Did Daisuke have to go through this too, alone?

"So, what happened after it then? How did you save Meramon? And the village?" she smiles, watching as a grin returned to Taichi's face.

"Sora. It was Sora who saved him. Her and Biyomon," he says, nodding his head to his words.

He rubbed the back of his neck as he thought of the woman, his eyes grow sad as he remembered the events of what had happen just before he had gain the ticket. "Biyomon digivolved to save Sora, Birdramon fought Meramon and won. She was able to remove the gear from his back,"

Jun stared at the bushy brunette and presses her lips together. She could see the pain within those brown eyes and she could only guess why, but she had a pretty good idea after all she felt it too.

From her small child-hood crush, she still felt the hurt when she found out he had begun to date. Jun wanted to comfort the other teenager, but she didn't know how. Biting her bottom lip, she looked back down, feeling quite ashamed.

"Tai, Jun!" a familiar soft and gentle voice bellowed out behind them.

The brown hair stood up on end and Taichi let out a soft gasp, spinning around to find his small dinosaur Digimon standing slightly off the path.

"Tai-Tai!" Agumon called out, waving a clawed hand over to him, his green eyes shining in excitement, "Look~"

Jun tilted her head in wonder, walking after Taichi. Both teenagers moving towards the orange dinosaur, he turned his head and looked into wondrous lushes green forest. A meadow that went on as far as the eye could see.

"I smell baby Digimon," Agumon purred out and rubbing his head against Taichi's stomach.

"Baby Digimon?" Jun repeated in thought.

She tilted her head up and gazing half-blankly at the bushy planets lining up along the pathway the trio stood upon. She leant forward, towards a sun-flower like planet and sniffed, the smell was gorgeous. It was something she hadn't smelled before, it made her cheeks redden. She was blushing from a flower, how embarrassing.

"Well, it's difficult to tell which breed of Digimon…but there are definitely baby Digimon in there," Agumon giggled gleefully, leaning against Taichi.

Jun couldn't help but smile, rookie Digimon are so cute. She had only known the small, orange dinosaur for a week, but she had learned how much he adores Taichi. He would do anything for a hug from his human partner and that was just adorable.

Taichi hummed, listening to his dinosaur partner before nodding his head and gently petting Agumon on the head. He brushed his fingers across the scales, massaging the flat head and smiling when he heard the soft purr.

"So then. Is there a chance it is a mixture of baby Digimon, right?" he questioned, glancing down at Agumon and grinned when the dino-mon nodded his head in reply.

The Digimon's orange lips pulled back to reveal a tooth grin that was very 'Taichi' in a way. Chuckling under his breath, Taichi turned his head to look at the female, his chocolate eyes softens as he sees the normally loud and annoying girl smelling the flowers around them, her face growing redder and redder by the second.

She was kind of cute right now.

"Jun, do you want to go check it out?"

Hearing the brunette words, Jun blinks furiously and withdraws from the sunflower like flowers and faces the other teenager.

"I, Oh. Yes, let's go see the baby Digimon," she smiles thoughtfully, her face automatically cooling down.

She was still embarrassed that she had blushed from a flower, but it would seem such things as that were normal in the Digimon World.

"Okay," Agumon sang, patting ahead and swinging his clawed arms while he walked.

He could help but be excited, wondering what kind of baby Digimon were in this world. His green eyes flashes as he walks, following the smell that lead him through the meadow. Taichi and Jun shared an amused look before walking after the orange Digimon.

Gently as she could, Jun shifted Chapmon in her arms. She smiles down at the little pale green sleeping Digimon, she was just so adorable. Jun lifts her head and looks over at Taichi, the brunette was walking ahead of her with Agumon, both looking at their surroundings.

They had long since strayed from the bath and had been walking through the beautiful bright, sun-kissed meadow for at least an hour by now.

"Agumon? Are getting any closer?" she questioned, pushing her red hair off her face while walking.

"Don't worry Jun, I'm sure we'll find the way," Taichi answered instead of his cute little orange scaled friend, who purred as he sniffed the air, "Because we're fighters, that's why! We don't give up and we never quit!"

Jun blinks at him, tilting her head and puffing out her cheeks. We don't give up and we never quit. Right.

An hour later, of walking, Taichi made a loud groan. His head flopping forward coursing his chocolate colored hair to fall over his face.

"I give up. I quit," he grumbled, rubbing his sore neck and forcing his feet along tiredly.

Sweat clung to his tan colored skin, he presses his lips tightly together and puffs out his cheeks.

"What happened to your fighting spirit?" Jun snorted, walking ahead of the other teenager with her nose in the air.

Her eyes slide half-shut as she glanced at the many brightly colored flowers, all of which was facing the endless ball of flames above them. Jun still couldn't quite understand why there was three hot suns in the sky, it bothered her that she couldn't understand it.

"I got hungry," Taichi answered rather quickly, his stomach made a loud grumble of agreement.

Even Agumon moaned in agreement, lifting a clawed hand and gently rubbing his orange scaled stomach.

Feeling her own stomach growl, Jun sighed and ran her free hand through her red hair, pushing it off her face.

"We'll take a break soon," she muttered, turning her head to see if she could spot anything else around them.

When she couldn't, she groaned and looked back at Agumon, "Agumon? Are we at least getting closer to where the baby Digimon are?"

"Um," Agumon tilted his head back and sniffed, his snot flaring as he inhaled the strong sent, "Almost,"

Hearing his Digimon's words, Taichi whined from the back of his throat and practically melted onto the ground. He leant backward with his knees arched up and his hands pressed against the ground behind him.

Taichi throw his head back and wailed, "Okay, this was a pretty stupid idea! Why is it so hot anyway? Wasn't it raining just yesterday?" he moaned loudly, whipping the sweat from his skin, "Such stupid idea to wear a long polestar shirt!"

Just lifted an eyebrow, her deep crimson eyes scanning the other 16 year old.

Sure, his clothing didn't look summer wise. A long sleeved, thick blue shirt with his trademark button up shirt over it. That and the tight jeans which seemed to outline his curves greatly.

Jun's face flushed brightly when she realized what she was thinking and what she was looking at. She shook her head and with a displeased grunt, walked towards him. Clenching her eyes shut, her cheeks still pink, she leant forward and held her hand out.

"K-Kamiya! You can't lay on the ground like that! You'll get in everyone's way…besides we don't have time to horse around," she grumbled, looking off to the side in embarrassment, "Here,"

Taichi snapped his head around and stared at the girl. His cheeks turned pink and he curled his lips together. He hadn't pegged Jun as the type to help people, from what he could remember, she had always been the creepy fan girl stalker.

The one who would trick people into dates, and who would follow you around and snap photos. That kind of person. Jun wasn't the type of person he would normally hang out with, it was odd that he was stuck with her. Shrugging to himself, he lifted his hand to grab a hold of hers. Perhaps it was time he discarded all those labels, Jun wasn't what he expected her to be.

She was surprisingly nice to be around, a little stubborn at times, but who wasn't? He was a pretty difficult person to be around. Taichi couldn't help but feel guilty, he had only been around the girl for a week, but so far he had noticed she wasn't anything like he expected.

She was very nice and kind. Maybe it was time he gave her a chance, they might end up being good friends for he knows.

Just as Taichi was about to grab onto Jun's hand. Something small, and very fast burst from the flowers to the side. He blinked owlishly, turning his head with his jaw hanging open. Jun made a small cry and stumbled backward in shock.

"What is that?" she gasped out, turning to look at the burning green head, "It's like a vegetable?"

A round green like Digimon turned her large fly-like red eyes onto the two. A few large lefts stuck out of the top of her head, they twitched as they took in the two odd looking teenagers.

"What are you looking!" she growled out rudely, hissing at Taichi as he was the closest to her.

She puffed her cheeks out and suddenly spat a large bubble at the male, causing it to burst across his face.

Taichi felt his back arch and leant to the side with narrowed eyes.

"Why you little-" he began, furiously whipping his round face with the back of his sleeves.

"Tanemon! Get back here young lady!" shrieked a deep feminine voice.

The flowers to the side, the place where the small Digimon had appeared spread open and a beautiful human like Digimon poked her head out.

Jun gasped at her beauty, she felt like she might have seen the Digimon before, but no matter how hard she tried to remember, she couldn't.

The Digimon was roughly the same height of Jun, maybe an inch or two taller with long pale, green curls. Bright pink petals surrounded her head and curved just beautifully. A matching pink dress with what seemed to be four sets of leaves on her back, making wings.

The Digimon blinks her large black eyes and gasped as she took in the ones around her, "Oh! Oh my god! What a lovely surprise, you're humans!" she gasped out gleefully, smiling brightly and warmly at them. Jun couldn't help but return the smile.

"H-Humans?" Tanemon wondered out loud, her red eyes widening and looking at Taichi.

"You're a human! Ha!" she laughed, almost cruelly and Taichi glared back at her.

His hands twitched, he had never met such a rude Digimon before! Especially one which is the same breed of his friend, Mimi's partner! What is the world coming too!

The taller, human-like Digimon gasped once more and scooped up Tanemon. Said younger Digimon cried out and struggled in her arms.

"I'm so sorry! Please forgive Tanemon!" she begged and bowed her head, her wings twitching.

"It's alright. Kamiya is used to things like that," Jun peeped in, smiling kindly at the panicked Digimon who let out a sigh of relief.

Taichi pouted, but none the less pushed himself up and stood next to Jun. Agumon moved quickly, standing by his Human's side loyalty, even purring contently as Taichi gently patted him on the end.

Twitching as she slowly awake from her restless sleep. Chapmon yawned and rubbed her eyes with her flaps and tilted her head.

"Lillymon!" she gasped out in surprise, not expecting to see the fairy Digimon.

Jun lowered her head to look at her partner and gave her a questioning look.

"Lillymon is a Fair Digimon. She is born from beautifully blooming flower petals. She is known to kindly extend her hand to small or weak things. She can fly in the air with the four leaf-like wings growing from her back, and it is said that after Lillymon flies by, a fresh breeze will blow," she explained softly, glancing at the happy Fairy Digimon.

"So, she's like a mother Digimon?" Jun asked and smiles in awe when Chapmon shyly nods her head.

The red haired girl looks at Lillymon and hums under her breath at how beautiful she looked.

Taichi tilted his head, looking down at Agumon, "She's a lot different to Mimi's Lillymon, huh?" he whispered and winked when the Dino-Digimon looked up at him.

"Hmm," Agumon nodded his head, his wide emerald eyes shining brightly.

"From what I know, Lillymon is normally selfish, and a big cry-baby. It's unable to settle down if it starts crying like a crybaby," he commented quietly, quickly following after the females as they began to walk, "This Digital world sure is different, I wonder why…"

Taichi hums lowly, he crosses his arms and tilts his head thoughtfully.

"I wish Koushiro was here. He'll probably be able to explain all this," he groans to himself while Agumon nods in agreement.

Koushiro would most defiantly be able to explain all this, well he hopes so any way.

"Aww come on! Let me go! I'm never going back to that nasty school!" Tanemon squealed loudly, wiggling about in Lillymon arms.

She puffs her cheeks out and gains the attention of Taichi and Agumon. Both looked at the tiny Digimon and wondered what she meant by a school? As far as they knew there was no school for Digimon.

Jun frowned deeply, "I didn't know Digimon had to go to school,"

"That's where they'll learn the skills they need, as they grow into full Digimon," Lillymon explained, her eyes catching the sun as she titled her head back to look at the smaller female.

Jun smiles thoughtfully.

Little Digimon are just like regular human's after all. They need to learn just as they do.

Taichi frowned and scratched the back of his head, so Digimon have to go through the pain of school just like they do, huh?

"What skills do they learn? Jumping and eating?" he questioned loudly, kicking a small pebble out of his way as he followed Lillymon.

"How exciting, I've never seen real live humans before! I know, why don't you come to the school with us?" Lillymon asked, turning back to look at the two teenagers and smiling even brighter at them if it was possible, "I'm sure the children would love to meet you?"

Tanemon wailed and kicked her tiny legs, her mouth opening wide as she cragged out, "Not me! I'd rather go home! I'd rather watch grass grow!"

"We'd love to see the school, but we're on a mission. You see, we're trying to figure out why we're here. So far we haven't met anybody who can help us," Jun explained politely, her voice coming out gently and kindly.

Taichi looked at in surprise, but he couldn't help but smile.

Lillymon gasped, her mouth opening wide, "Oh that's terrible. I'm sorry, but we don't know anything about humans," she admitted sadly, bowing her head in apologetic fashion, "What a shame. I was hoping you'd join us for afternoon snack time."

His stomach growled once more, Taichi grinned and rubbed the back of his head, "Snack time? Why didn't you say so? We are there lady!" he almost excitedly said, almost bouncing on the balls of his feet as he spoke.

"Kamiya! Can you not think with your stomach! All men are the same!" Jun frowned, glaring pointedly at the brunette who snorted in return.

"You're hungry too! I heard your stomach growl, Motomiya!" Taichi rolled his eyes, walking along side Lillymon now, following her through a tiny opening into meadow.

He winced as the sun casted over him, glaring directly into his eyes. He had to shield them as he took in the large field ahead of them, with a tiny hut in the middle, it had a few trees around it with little flowers about.

Lillymon smiles and flutters in the air briefly, her wings twitching, "That's the Digimon School, right over there," she said, somewhat proudly.

"That's it? It looks like a house the three little pigs built! I've seen better buildings then that!" Taichi muttered under his breath, twisting his body and leaning to the side. Putting all his weight onto his left foot.

Mortified, Jun's face turned red and she nervously smiled. She turned her eyes onto the boy and glared.

"Kamiya! Keep your voice down!" she hissed, tugging on Taichi's ear, coursing the brunette to whine loudly.

"Human's sure are odd," Chapmon muttered, leaping to the ground and stretching out her tiny green arms.

Agumon moved next to her and sighed, "You really have no idea, Chapmon," he admitted, his mind reeling with all the events that had happen since he met Taichi.

What an adventure, a very tiring adventure, but an adventure no less.

"Oh. That bad, huh?" Chapmon mumbled, both small Digimon trailing behind their human's partners they all walked towards the hut.

Agumon sent her a large toothy smile, seriously, she had no idea how many near death experiences he had.

Eventually the small group came to the hunt and the first thing they saw, was a small group of little baby Digimon. All huddled together, throwing what looked like a football around. Jun watched with wide eyes, they were all so cute!

"So adorable," she muttered out loud, her eyes shining as she watched one that looked like a small white snow-man head, head-butt the ball towards its friend. It wasn't long before they noticed the odd looking 'Digimon' and began to crowd around them.

Jun crouched down in front of the small white head with bright pink cheeks and smiles.

"You're so cute," she says warmly, reaching a hand out and gently touching the Digimon between its large fluffy ears.

The small Digimon made a soft whimper, it began to shake and Jun quickly pulled her hand away in worry, staring at the Digimon, concerned that she might have hurt it somehow. Jun barely had time to prepare herself before she felt her skin grow cold and her limbs turn to mush.

"Jun!" Taichi called out in panic, moving onto his knees next to her and grabbing ahold of her shoulders.

His chocolate eyes scans over her frozen body while Chapmon bounced up to Jun's other side and whined, rubbing her head against Jun's hip before looking at the Digimon who had done this.

"Bokomon! If I've told you once, I've told you a million times! Don't ice the visitors!" Lillymon said.

Jun's shoulders shaking as she leaped next to the three and sent Bokomon a disappointed look before returning her attention onto the frozen girl. She held her hand out and sent a small wave of heat. Agumon watched in shock as the ice quickly began to melt, he couldn't help but make a whine of concern for his human's female friend.

Taichi sighed in relief, feeling her body become warm again.

"Jun? Motomiya?" he called.

Jun slowly blinked her owlish eyes before rubbing them.

He grinned widely as she looked at him with pout, "Are you alright? Bokomon froze you," he chuckled, looking at the guilty white Digimon hiding between Lillymon.

He every now and then peeked around her legs, and whimpered, wiggling its tiny furry nose.

"Froze me?" Jun repeated softly, tilting her head around to look at Bokomon and smiled a little.

"Oh…It's okay," she says, looking at Lillymon who turned a blueish colour, Jun assumed it was her way of blushing. Lillymon bowed again and repeated 'so sorry' "Poor thing. Did I scare you? I'm sorry,"

Bokomon whimpered, but slowly relaxed and smiles back at Jun, "J-Just a little b-bit," he mumbled out.

"Ha! I was all by myself when I ran into the humans, I wasn't scared at all. Not even a little," Tanemon beeped up, proudly speaking.

Her voice sound smug with an edge of coldness. Taichi twisted his lips together and looked to her, noticing the small tremble in her leaves as she spoke. He couldn't help but wonder, is she trying to show off? Why? What's the point in that?

Taichi felt a shudder go up spin when the group of baby Digimon looked at her frowned, some even stuck their tongues out at her before rolling their eyes and bouncing away. He winced as they yelled out a loud.

"Whatever, show off!"

"Kids today. So young, so mean," Agumon sighed, swaying his claws as he stood.

Chapmon bounced up next to him and titled her head thoughtfully, "With proper guides, they'd love school as much as I did," she purred out, smiling brightly. Her little orange beck twitched as she spoke.

Agumon giggled as she hummed a small tone to herself, he smiled widely as he realized the song must have been from school.

"That's odd, right?" Taichi frowned, looking at Jun who nodded thoughtfully.

He swiftly blushed brightly when he realized he was still holding the shorter girl and quickly scrambled away, easing himself onto his feet. Jun blinks confusingly and looked up him, why did he look so nervous?

"Um, we should go into the hut…you know, like everyone else?" he said, a strain smile on his face and jerking his thumb towards the wood and straw hut.

Jun looked to it and pushed herself up easily, "Yeah. I wonder what Lillymon has next," she said thoughtfully, walking towards the archway door.

Taichi sighed in relief and pushed his hair off his forehead, noticing an odd look he was receiving from Agumon, he smiled and patted him on the head before the trio followed their friend to the hut.

"Story time!" Lillymon sang happily, looking around all the Digimon.

All of which seated on tiny wooden stubs. Everyone looked excited, all but Tanemon who sat looking at the ground gloomy.

We're in for a real treat today! Instead of a normal story, we have are guest to talk all about the human world! Would you all like that?" she asked happily and smiles warmly when the small Digimon squealed, jumping up and down on their stubs, "How about the big blue one first?"

Taichi's eyes widen and flushed pale pink, "You mean me?" he questioned, pointing at himself and grinned widely when Lillymon nodded her head, her eyes closing in an eye smile.

"The names Taichi-Tai. My name's Tai,"

"Hmmm. Okay Professor Tai," Lillymon gleefully spoke, clapping her hands together while the little baby Digimon burst into excited chatter, "The class is yours!"

"Professor!" Taichi wheezed out, his eyes widening and his jaw dropping. Agumon snickered to himself and rubbed his large orange snout against Taichi's side in comfort.

Taichi looked at the class and breathed in deeply, his mind reeling with what he could speak about, "I'm no Professor, I'm only in the 12th grade!"

Jun laughed behind her hand and nudged Taichi in the side, "Don't be so modest! Your class awaits. Professor!" she teased.

Jun's lips stretching into a wide grin. Even Agumon and Chapmon joined in, calling their outrageous haired friend 'Professor' over and over again, eventually class sang it out too.

Taichi scratched the back of his head and carefully moved to stand where Lillymon had been standing moments before. His eyes scanned the many bright faces looking at him eagerly.

"Alright just stay calm, how bad can this be? Their just little kids, I mean they're so little they don't have feet," he thought to himself, his heart swiftly suddenly to pound.

"The human world has a lot of…err…cool stuff….like hankies to rub your nose. I mean if you have noses," he awkwardly spoke and Jun couldn't help but moan to herself, shaking her head.

"Hiya everyone!" Agumon suddenly called, popping up onto the desk in front of Taichi. Said human blinked furiously, and made a snort of amusement. His eye brawls raised.

"My name is Agumon and this silly human is my human," he explained, waving his clawed hand at Taichi who frowned at being called 'silly' by his Digimon partner, "You see, humans are so weak that they can't defend themselves and so they need Digimon like myself to help and protect them!"

Jun laughed to herself, noticing the expression on Taichi's face. She looked at Agumon and smiled, he was so cute, and especially right now while he was happily chatting to all the Digimon about the special bond between him and Taichi.

He even used Chapmon and herself as examples when the baby Digimon throw questions out. Thought, she noticed he didn't mention they're Legendary Warriors, the Warriors of Fire and Wind. She looked down at Chapmon and smiled in return.

"Okay Agumon! I can take it from here!" Taichi called out in determination, wrapping his arms around Agumon's stomach and lifting him front the desk.

He turned his amber eyes onto the children and went to open his mouth, but frowned when he found everyone gone, "Err…where everyone went?"

"So young, so mean," Agumon grinned widely, revealing his sharp fangs as Taichi turned them around to find all the young Digimon crowding around Jun and Chapmon, laughing and bouncing around.

"I guess I don't have a way with children after all…" Taichi moaned, his shoulder slouching while Agumon laughed gleefully at his stroppy Human partner.

Lillymon frowned and bowed lowly with her hands clapped tightly together in front of her pale pink petal skirt, "So sorry! So sorry!" she gasped out while Taichi groaned and allowed his head to flop forward. Making a soft laugh, Lillymon looked to all her students.

"Playtime!" she sang out, bouncing on the balls of her feet while all the student cheered loudly.

It didn't take long for everyone to go outside.

Taichi grinned widely, he rolled backward with most of the male baby Digimon cling to him, laughing loudly.

"Whoa, you guys sure are excited huh," he said, standing straight and looking around. His eyes glowed as he ran towards a brown ball and lifting it.

"Who wants to play football!" he called out, throwing the ball into the air and catching it.

When he heard the excited cheering, he grinned even wider and throw the ball out, kicking it. The ball rolled across the field and the football game began. Taichi breathed deeply, running after the other and easily moving the ball around with the other Digimon.

Meanwhile, across the field, Jun smiles warmly at all the Digimon sitting in her lap. Even Agumon was seated between her legs with baby Digimon excitedly clinging to him.

"Ready?" she called out and laughed when everyone cheered even louder than she had ever heard before, pushing forward, she chuckled when the Digimon squealed as they went down the slide.

Taichi skidded forward, trying to prevent the ball from flying ahead. He sighed as it bounced along a few rocks, tilting his head, he places his hands onto his hips and grins.

"Tanemon, hey! Kick the ball back and come hang with us," he called out at the little leave Digimon lonely climbing the rocks.

Tanemon looked at the ball before turning her head to Taichi and smiling. Taichi jumped when he heard the other Digimon groan and roll away.

"Not her," they moaned out loudly, bouncing away from the field.

"Huh?" Taichi frowned and turned his head back around to look at them in confusion, "What? Hey guys, where are you off too?"

"No thanks! Football is lame!" Tanemon muttered, rolling along the rocks and hiding behind it. Taichi sighed, frowning deeply and shaking his head while rubbing the side of his head in confusion.

The day went by slowly and Taichi noticed how everyone treated poor Tanemon, "I don't get it. Why is everyone being so mean to Tanemon?" he asked, sneezing and rubbing his eyes after witnessing P.E.

Everyone had been so horrible to Tanemon.

"I don't get why nobody will play with her/"

"They all probably think she doesn't fit in with them…" Jun said softly, Taichi snapped his head around to look down at her.

He blinked a few times, thinking he might have missed heard her.

"I know exactly how she feels…I was…ignored a lot in class. Nobody really paid much attention to me. I guess everyone must have thought I was annoying or something," she stated sadly, her warm eyes looking down.

Taichi stared in shock, "Annoying," he thought to himself, his chest tighten and his stomach coiled.

That's exactly what he thought she was, and everyone else in their group. Now that he thought about it, he couldn't exactly remember seeing Jun with other people. Most of the time, she had been on her own. He felt so guilty.

"Still…nobody likes to be lonely," Jun sighed out, pushing her hair out of face and rubbing the side of her face.

Chapmon sitting next to her side, rubbed her face against Jun's stomach in hopes to cheer her up.

Chapmon tilted her head and smiles, "You've got me now. You won't be alone anymore," she said comforting and Jun smiles brightly, gently stroking Chapmon's head, "I won't let you be lonely anymore,"

Amber eyes swirled guilty, Taichi frowned and ran his fingers through his chocolate hair.

"I…You've got me too Jun," he grinned, especially when Jun jumped in surprise and turned her head around to look up at him with wide eyes.

Her mouth was open and she almost asked him to repeat himself.

"I'm your friend too, Jun,"

Jun opened and shut her mouth. Her cheeks darkened and her throat felt dry. Jun felt embarrassed to notice Taichi had even called her by her given name and not her second name like he would normally.

"I…T-Thanks. Kamiya…" Jun mumbled shyly before shaking her head.

"Taichi," she finally spoke and Taichi smiles brightly down at her.

"Me too! I'm your friend Jun!" Agumon suddenly interrupted the two, springing between them and smiling goofily at the red haired human.

Jun returned the smile and gently patted him on his scaled head. Jun found her cheeks heating up and she shyly looked down at her lap, she twirled a lock of red around her finger.

Swallowing a lump in his throat, Taichi closed his eyes briefly. He wondered why he hadn't ever noticed it before, lonely the girl was. In honestly, all he ever saw was an obsessed fan girl, and not the human being.

Taichi frowned to himself, he was never this shallow before, and he always talked and hanged out with everyone. No matter who it was and yet, he had somehow completely ignored the old Motomiya. He felt horrible. He has the crest of courage, and yet, he felt nothing but a coward.

Sighing, Taichi chewed the inside his mouth before snapping his head up when the field erupted with cries and moans.

"Fine! I don't want to play with them anyway!" Tanemon screamed out.

Taichi's eyes widen, looking at the small plant Digimon. He was so used to seeing Mimi's partner, it was odd to see a normally calm and chilled Digimon act so, well, loud.

Taichi gasped upon seeing the Digimon spin around and take off, moving as fast she could away from the field of baby Digimon.

"Tanemon!" Jun gasped out, throwing herself onto her feet and running after the smaller Digimon.

She could clearly see how hurt and sad the Digimon was. She had to do something. She had to help someway. She gently wrapped her arms around Chapmon, double checking that she wouldn't drop her as she ran.

Taichi jolted on the spot, his eyes widen so much as they stung.

"Jun! Hey, wait!" he cried, quickly running after the girl.

He sighed to himself and wondered why all girls were the same? Shaking the thought away, breathed deeply and pushed himself as fast he could in hopes to catch up to the other human. He could feel the wind pulling at him hair, he felt his heart jumped when he heard a familiar whimper from behind him.

"Agumon, here," he called, pausing in mid-run and crouching down with his hands arched backward.

Agumon looked up from the ground and quickly got back onto his feet. He stretched his legs after falling and as fast as he could, climbed onto Taichi's back, he gasped as Taichi stood up straight. He never noticed how tall the brunette had become in all these years. He swallowed and hunched forward as Taichi burst into another run, moving quickly towards the female ahead of them.

"Tanemon! Please wait," Jun cried, breathing deeply as she followed the baby Digimon.

Tanemon whimpered, her leave shook as she ran, her large feet flapping repeatedly against the ground.

"No! Go away! I want to be alone! I never want to go back to that damn school again!" she screamed back, her voice swirling into the air around them, "I'm just a freak anyways, nobody would care,"

Jun bit her bottom lip, her heart clenched as she listened to the words, "That's not true. I would. I would miss you, I would care you just left," she tried and followed the Digimon into the forest.

Cursing under his breath, Taichi held tightly onto Agumon and ran into the forest. He skidded to a stop and searched the thick trees, looking desperately for Jun and the two Digimon, "Where are they?" he growled to himself, his amber eyes switching around himself before he heard a cry. A terror filled cry coming from behind him. Spinning around on the balls of his feet and lunched forward, running through the tree and came to lake.

"Jun!" he gasped, coming to a stop next to her and looking at Tanemon.

He doesn't know she had done it, but she had somehow got herself trapped on a stone in the middle of a lake.

"Jun, what are you doing?" he asked, looking at the red haired girl as she placed Chapmon carefully onto the ground and walked away.

He frowned and lowered Agumon back onto the ground.

"Jun?" he called before yelping when she spun around and ran back, leaping towards the lake, she caught hold of the tree leaning over it.

"Tanemon! Hold on!" Jun called, turning herself around.

Holding the branch of three with her right hand, she reached her left hand out and tried to grab hold of the terrified leave Digimon. Just as her fingers touched the leaves on top of her head, Jun's face paled as the branch snap and coursed both her and Tanemon to fall into the deep lake.

"Jun!" Chapmon cried, her body glowing a bright white colour.

Data strips wrapped around her tiny body and she transformed into a much larger and feathered Digimon.

"Chapmon digivolve to Penguinmon!" panting, she wobbled up to edge and cried out, looking for her partner in the water.

Taichi was about to stop the Penguin Digimon from diving in after her, when he saw a stream of light erupt from the spot where Jun and Tanemon had fallen in.

"Poisonous Ivy!" a familiar voice bellowed out and a view erupted from the water, pulling Jun and a very familiar Digimon the water.

Jun panted, her hair stuck to her face and when she gently touched the ground, Penguinmon rushed towards her and throw her feathered body at the soaking water female.

"Palmon?" Taichi questioned, feeling his eyes widen and his mouth drop.

Is this why nobody would play with her? Because she can digivolve? Was that it? Hmm?

Thirty minutes later, Taichi leant against a massive rock, one leg curled up and pressed against the rock with his hands in his jean pockets.

His back arched while his face turned a crimson colour, he nervously glanced back at the stone before quickly snapping his head back around in embarrassment and scratched the side of his head. He tried, he tried so hard to keep his mind from wondering, especially with the other teenager on the other side. A red peacock coat, black dress with leggings hanged on a tree branch next to them.

Swallowing a lump in his throat, Taichi turned to look at Tanemon.

Agumon pouted and tilted his head, looking at the small baby Digimon, "You can digivolve? Why hide it?" he questioned, his voice coming gentle and as kind as ever. His emerald eyes soften as he took in the trembling Digimon's form.

"I really wish I couldn't. It's been nothing but a royal pain in the neck," Tanemon whimpered out, her two leaves curling over her face as she sniffled loudly.

Taichi frowned, "Aww, come on. You don't really mean that," he said gently, looking down at the sad Digimon and sighed to himself.

"Yes I do," Tanemon sobbed, her little white nose twitching.

"It didn't use to be like this. I-I, before they knew I could digivolve, I-I was one of them," she hiccupped, her small head rolling forward and looking down at the grass, "I digivolved to help them g-get their ball back, but all they saw was a big slimy m-monster!" she whimpered, thinking back to when she and the others were playing football.

One of them had kicked it into the tree branches, "They s-so afraid of me n-now. They won't e-even talk t-to me…"

"I wasn't afraid," Jun suddenly, walking out from the tree.

She wore her elbow-sleeve black dress which flared out around her waist. Her beautiful soft crimson peacock coat rested still on the tree branch next to them.

"I don't know what would have happen if you hadn't digivolve and pulled me out of the water," she smiles brightly, placing her hands onto her hips and arching herself, "You saved my life, thank you so much Tanemon," Jun says and Tanemon turns a little pink.

"Now, what do you say we get back to the others?" Penguinmon asked softly, her voice as posh as always.

She smiles herself, her golden eyes shining just beautifully.

Taichi hums before pushing himself off the stone and tilting his head up when he heard a loud ear-piercing shriek.

"Thunder?" he wondered out loud before wincing when a drop of water fell onto his nose.

"No…rain," Agumon mumbled out, moving to Taichi's side and leaning into him.

Jun frowns and glares up at the dark clouds, "Oh come on! I just got dry!" she cried out as rain erupted from the clouds, wetting everything in sight.

She jumps when a flash lightening erupted from the sky, she swallowed a lump in her throat and gulped.

"Don't tell me you're afraid of thunder?" Taichi teased, looking at the red haired girl who rushed to pull on her red coat.

He eyed the way she moved her fingers quickly, button up the soft looking fabric. He wasn't sure if it was the rain, but her face looked flushed.

Jun glared at him, her shoulders shaking, "S-So what if I am!" she hissed, pouting.

Taichi chuckled and grinned widely, turning his head to look up at the sky in amusement.

"You're such a jerk!"

"This isn't good!" Tanemon suddenly gasped out, gaining both Jun and Taichi's attention.

"I've got to get back to school!" she cried, running forward, her red eyes burning brightly as she moved. Pushing herself as fast she could go.

Penguinmon gasped, "Tanemon? Is something the matter?" she asked, following the smaller Digimon.

Taichi and Jun shared a look before following the Digimon. Agumon stayed where he was a little longer, looking up at the sky, watching as lightening flashed across the sky before following them. Something didn't feel right to him.

"The water is so high," Jun said, looking as the sudden river that had appeared between them the school hut.

She gulped and peered across the land, looking at the hut in worry, "I hope the rain won't affect it." She thought, tugging on the sleeves of her red coat.

Tanemon shook, she hunched over and whined loudly, "Miss Lillymon said…last time it rained this hard, the river overflowed and washed the school away…if this keeps up, the water will wash everyone away!" she gasped out in worry, her eyes peeling wide and she gulped.

Jun's eyes widen and her shoulders hunched up, "Washed away!" she cried out and snapped her head around to look at Taichi, ignoring the way the rain fell on them.

"Taichi! We've got to do something!"

Amber eyes narrowed, Taichi looked at Agumon before turning his attention to Jun. "We've got to evolve!" he said, making Jun stare in shock.

Agumon swung his head around to look at the brunette, "We'll get there faster, and we can use our powers to block the water from washing the school away!"

"…Whoa Taichi…that's actually a good idea…" Jun mumbled thoughtfully, turning her head to look at Penguinmon.

"Think you can do it?" she asked, holding up her purple and white digivolve.

Penguinmon nodded her head, her golden eyes wide and burning with fire. Jun pushed the screen up, looking briefly at the skeleton image of Penguinmon before pressing one of the smaller buttons and smiles when date erupted from the tip of the device.

Penguinmon flapped her wings as she began to glow a bright pink colour before she burst into light merged with the dater ribbons swirling around Jun's smaller body until she was covered up by a cocoon of data.

Jun smiles, feeling the familiar senses her clothes being pulled away. Wrapping her arms tightly around herself, she pulled her legs up, finding the ground disappear from underneath her feet.

Her body glowed so brightly that it would burn anybody who could see in past the data strips. Her skin began to peeling off, revealing the same glowing pale pink light underneath. And finally, the data strips erupted, bursting out from a pair of large, glowing, and glass like purple wings.

"Kazemon!" she spun on the spot before landing quite gracefully on the ground.

She flicked a lock of lavender hair off her shoulder and smiles, placing her hand on her hip as the light around her faded away.

Taichi looked down at Agumon smirked widely, "You ready?"

"Yes! Tai!" Agumon said bravely, arching his clawed arms out and hunching his head.

Taichi quickly pulled out his own device and pushed the screen up. He smirks at the image of skeleton Agumon before smashing the smaller button. His amber eyes twinkled when data erupted from the tip of the device.

Agumon arches himself, his arms spreading wider as he began to glow a bright crimson colour before he burst into light merged with the dater ribbons swirling around Taichi's manlier body until he was covered up by a cocoon of data.

Taichi grins widely, feeling the familiar senses his clothes being ripped away. Taichi's arms stretched outward as he felt the ground underneath his sneakers disappear.

His body glowed so brightly that it would burn anybody who could see in past the data strips. His skin starts to peel off, revealing the same burning red like sunset underneath. And finally, the data strips erupted, bursting out from the dragon-like fire flames erupts from his body.

"Agunimon!" He twisted his large hands together, before pulling them apart and the flames faded away.

He breathes out a puff of fire and turned his narrowed blue eyes onto the river.

Tanemon stared up at both new Digimon in shock, her eyes growing so wide that they made her eyes sting with tears.

"You-You digivolved!" she cried out loudly and yelped when Kazemon swiped down and scooped her up before fluttering in the air above Agunimon.

"Time to get going!" she calls out with her beautiful voice.

It sounded like a mixture of two voices which just made Tanemon blush in embarrassment.

Agunimon nodded, he arched his back and ran backward a few steps.

"Right!" he grunted out, his voice deep and firm, sending a shudder up Tanemon's tiny back before she gasped as she watched Agunimon charge forward, pushing with such strength across the river in one single leap.

It was amazing!

Kazemon easily glided through the air, "There's the school!" she called out, twisting herself and hovering directly next to the house.

"Here you go Tanemon," Kazemon smiles, gently placing the smaller Digimon onto the straw next to Lillymon who gasped in amazement, her eyes flickering between the two.

"Thank you so much Kazemon!" Tanemon squealed loudly, smiling even wider at the beautiful female Digimon. She couldn't help but wonder if maybe one day, she'll digivolve into a Digimon as beautiful as her.

"We have to block the water with something big," Agunimon said, landing near Kazemon and looking around the school, "Like one of those rocks!" he said, pointing to the huge boulders near the trees.

"If we work together, we should be able to save the school!" Agunimon said mightily, looking at Kazemon.

Kazemon chuckled, "Why Agunimon, you're pretty brave when you want to be," she teased, her wings flapping behind her.

"Why…thanks," The Warrior of Fire laughed nervously, turning his head to the side before frowning deeply, "What do you mean when I want to be? I have the crest of courage, you know!"

"Let's move it!" Kazemon grunted out, flying higher in the water wind.

She noticed the wave of water charging closer to them. She clenched her hands, feeling the concern and worry filling up her veins.

They had to do this! Just had too!

Agunimon walked towards one the boulders and slammed his fists together, creating a swirl of fire around both arms. He breathed deeply before placing his burning hands on both sides of the boulder and pulled it out easily.

He held it above him and carefully walked in front of the school, "Now tell me where you would like this?"

"How about, a little to left!" Kazemon called back over to him, twirling in the air and keeping an eye on the water wave.

"Now Agunimon!" she screamed down to him and Agunimon slammed the stone down. He used all his strength to push up against it as the water finally slammed into it, splitting into two currents.

Agunimon struggled against the water, his fire sizzled as the water splashed against him, "Hey! Kazemon, a little help!"

"At your service!" Kazemon cried, landing behind him and throwing her arms out.

"Hurricane Wave!" she yelled, shooting two long, thin tornadoes out of her fingertips and pushing the water even more.

The younger Digimon on the school hunt smiled brightly and began to bounce around, "They did it!" they cheered loudly in excitement.

"They really did it! They're so strong!"

Lillymon tilted her head, watching with amazed eyes before gasping.

"Bokomon! No!" she cried out as the small white Digimon fell into the waves.

She pushed herself up and spread her wings, preparing to fly after the baby Digimon when another strong gust of wind slammed against her, forcing her back on the straw. She tried again to fly, but she couldn't. She wasn't strong enough to fight the thunderous wind that threatened to rip her wings apart.

"Bokomon!"

Bokomon screamed, her tiny body swirling as she moved down the water before opening her mouth and biting ahold of a branch from a tree. She clung to it for all it was worth.

"He-lp!" her muffled cry rang out through the air. All the baby Digimon whimpered and shook in fear.

"Tanemon! Go get her!" Agunimon suddenly bellowed out, gaining Tanemon's attention. He pushed the stone and grunted, "You're the only one who can!"

Tanemon started shaking leaves. Kazemon gazed at her, "You can do it! You saved me, you can save Bokomon too! I know you can!" she encouraged the small Digimon.

Tanemon turned around, her eyes scanned everyone's scared faces. She trembled in fear, her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open. She wailed to herself, her throat becoming dry and itchy.

"W-What?" She wheezed out, noticing a logo moving toward Bokomon.

It was going to crash into her if she doesn't do something! Her small ears rang from all screams and she spun around.

"Alright!" she shrieked out and data looped around, making her tiny body glow and transform into a much bigger Digimon.

"Tanemon digivolve into Palmon!" Palmon moved to the edge of the building and held up her hands.

"Poisonous Envy!" She bellowed out and vines erupted from the tips of her fingers, swinging towards Bokomon and looping around her.

"Hold on Bokomon! I'll get you to safety in no time!" she called out, pulling the little white, fuzzy head back to the hut.

Finally, after what seemed hours, the clouds parted and the rain stopped.

The sun glowed and lit up the lands beneath them. Kazemon and Agunimon groaned, sinking to the ground and allowed their shoulders to sag in relief.

"Finally!"

Palmon blushed at all the baby Digimon that bounced around her excitedly.

"I hope I can digivolve soon!"

Jun panted as she returned to herself.

"Welcome back, Chapmon!" she smiled, to the tiny pale, green bird Digimon who cooed and nuzzled up to her.

She smiled, warmly and gently stroked the tip of her head before looking at Taichi and Koromon. Both of whom, were laying near the stone, panting heavily.

"I could sleep for a month!"

Taichi and Jun are slowly growing closer! Once they become good friends, I'll start the romance! That should be roughly in a few more chapters ^_^

Hey! Have you all heard of the new Digimon movie series? I'm so up for it! Super excited about it. I can't wait for the first movie! Taichi will look super cute! With Aguimon of course. Man! I wish my OPT would happen, nobody knows who Taichi ends up with. I like to pretend it's Jun, just because the couple is adorable! I'm sure that Jun changes her hair when she older, just like everyone else. Hmmm. I like her hair straighten and flatten down. It's a bit odd that we don't know who the main character ends up with, huh? The reason why I believe Jun is involved some how is because not only is she the older sister of the a main character, but also she has a lot of screen-time for somebody like her.

Also, I like the fact we know so little about her that she's a clean slate. So fun to give her features and such! She's like a canon OC! Lol.

Anyway, I have new story that will be updated soon. It's a Taichi/Jun again. It's a one-shot and it's super sad. Hehe~
