YOOOOOO

So I haven't updated in a month and I feel kinda bad but life happens, friends. Circumstances come up and poof, any chances of writing disappear.

I'm so happy that you all like the new chapter! Thank you so much for all of you that stuck with me and any new readers as well! Welcome aboard the crazy train. Next stop, lots of Clace ;) (ok maybe not yet)

Jace POV

Ok wow. I can't get over the fact that Clary is insanely good on the dance floor. She let the music guide her and she rocked it. I checked the time as we sat, chugging down our water. 11:30. We had arrived at the club at 8! Had we really danced for that long? It doesn't matter though, I had an incredible time. I look over at the beautiful redhead and see her already looking at me. She holds her ground. We continue our staring contest until I see Izzy and Simon come up behind her.

"Well well well… Is Clary actually sitting out on dancing?" She looks at me playfully. "You really tired her out Wayland, huh?" Clary shoots daggers into Izzy's head.

"We were dancing for hours. I'm tired. Unlike you, who was probably shoving your tongue down Simon's throat" She glances at him. "And vice-versa." Simon chokes and stutters out some lame excuse while Izzy looks at Clary impressed. Seems like Clary doesn't talk back like that often.

"Nice one Clare, but you aren't one to talk." She takes the stool on Clary's left. "Because you and golden boy weren't looking very PG out there, if I do say so myself." She grins smugly. Clary's face flares red, even noticeable over the neon strobe lights. I chuckle.

"You guys aren't tired already, are you?" Jonathan strides towards us with Matt in tow.

"I'm exhausted" Clary and I say in sync. I smirk and she smiles shyly.

"Fine, let's head out." Matt says, waiting for everyone to stand and start walking. Clary immediately leads the pack, but stopping every few seconds to say hi to some of the bartenders, patrons, and the scary bouncer outside. The rest of the group seems to be pissed but I find it funny how little Clary can get along with anyone, especially in a club. We are currently stopped right outside the entrance while the bouncer shows Clary pictures of his girlfriend on his phone. I look over to Izzy.

"Does this happen often?" I whisper. She rolls her eyes.

"Every single time." She whispers. "I'm pretty sure Clary comes here without us all the time, even though she's never told us." She shakes her head and I laugh. I turn my focus back to Clary.

"Oh she's so pretty Doug! I'm so happy for you!" She says to the bouncer. He smiles before pulling her in for a hug. He gently pushes her away, towards us.

"Now go away Clary, you shouldn't be anywhere near a club. Who knows what kind of crazy drunks might be in there!" He winks and they exchange their goodbyes. Clary walks back to us and we finally continue our walk to the car. Jon slides into the driver's seat and pulls out, not even waiting for us to buckle in. The drive is silent until we hear someone's stomach roar. All heads snap toward Simon, who is blushing deeply.

"Hey, the stomach wants what it wants." He says grinning. Clary and Izzy roll their eyes. Suddenly, Jon makes a sharp right turn into a virtually deserted shopping center. The only place left open is Denny's. With only about 10 cars in the whole lot, Jon picks a preferred spot directly in front of the door. Clary speaks up.

"As much as I love this, why are we here?" She asks curiously. Jon steps out of the car and opens the back door for us.

"Simon is hungry. I'm hungry. We're all hungry!" He says with an obvious tone. We walk up to the hostess. "Six please." She leads us to a corner booth and gives us our menus without a second glance at us. Our seating arrangement was tight in the rounded booth, sitting in order of Jon, Simon, Izzy, Clary, Matt, and I, sitting on the opposite end of Jon.

"Guys I'm going to be completely honest, I've never been to Denny's." I say as I look away from the menu. Everyone is staring at me and I'm not sure if I should be scared.

"WHAT." Izzy yells, attracting the attention of an elderly couple a few tables away. Jon just shakes his head. Clary claps her hands together.

"Well then, I guess we'll have to order for you!" She says excitedly. Everyone looks at her deviously, and as the waiter comes to take our order, they begin to list off a bunch of items for me to try.

THE PAGE BREAK NEEDS A NAME- SEND ME SUGGESTIONS ~ POV CHANGE BTW

Clary POV

"I don't know if I can stand up, I've eaten too much." Jace says, rubbing his stomach. We ordered so much food, from pancakes to nachos, and let him try everything. I mean, what kind of person has never gone to Denny's?

"Come on, Mr. I've Never Gone to Denny's." Izzy says, pulling Jace up. We walk back to the car, our appetites satisfied. Once we had been driving for a few minutes, I decide that some conversation would be fun.

"So Jace, how has your first day of being a normal boy been?" I nudge his shoulder. My mind still can't understand that Jace is living with me, and forced to hang out with me every day. And I've been trying, trust me I've been trying, so hard not to freak out on him. He chuckles.

"Jeez Clary, you make it sound like I'm Pinocchio." He says shaking his head, laughing. His face changes to a more serious one. "But seriously though, I'm really enjoying this. Thank you guys so much."

Matt speaks up. "I think I'm speaking for everyone, but we're really glad you're here with us man." He says sincerely. I hear a chorus of 'yeahs' before we fall back into a comfortable silence.

PAGE BREAK BECAUSE WHO CARES ABOUT THE CAR RIDE

We arrive home at almost 3 in the morning, completely exhausted. We dropped off Simon along the way, watching him stumble into his house. Matt and Jon say a quick goodbye before making a beeline to their rooms, probably already falling asleep on the way. Izzy takes off her heels at the door then plops into the love seat, apparently too tired to walk up the stairs to her room. I roll my eyes at her before wincing as I pull of my heels, feet in too much pain. When I look back up, I see Jace standing awkwardly in the middle of the living room. Oh my. I realize that this is the first time that we were alone, and I'm not sure how to respond to that. He scratches the back of his neck.

"Umm… I kind of never saw my room. Matt and Jon let me borrow some of their clothing because I told them I was too lazy to unpack already." I could be imagining it, but I'm pretty sure he blushed. "So could you maybe show me my room?" Awww he's so nervous. He always seems so untouchable on TV, it's pretty adorable. Oh god… adorable? Really Clary, you can do better than that. I laugh.

"Of course, come on." I walk down the numerous halls of our "humble" abode and lead him to his spotless room. It's one of the nicer rooms in the house, even though it's really plain. It has its own balcony and inside, a king size bed in the dead center, a full body mirror propped up against a wall, a desk with a computer, and a walk in closet; fit for a king. Or a Jace Wayland. Ehhh… same thing.

He strolls in behind me and takes in the room.

"Woah," he stares in awe. "Much better than a hotel room." He turns to me. "Better company too." He says with a wink. I roll my eyes, but my heart is beating uncontrollably. Relax… "Thanks by the way, for taking me out to eat, and to the club, especially the club." He emphasizes the 'especially'. I blush, remembering once again how close we were dancing.

"Of course, it's incredible that we got stuck with you." I laugh and he joins in. "But really, though, thanks for agreeing to hang with us today, it was awesome." I say sincerely, already turning back towards the door. "I'm exhausted and I'm not even sure how I'm standing right now so I'm heading to sleep." I give him a wave before walking back down the hallway. Before I could go too far, Jace pops his head out of the door.

"Wait! Where's your room?" He asks. "I don't want to know in a creepy way… but it would be good to know." He reassures me. I laugh.

"Figure it out." I say with a wink, before strutting down the hall, hoping that he was watching my retreating figure.

SOOOOOOO it's done. :) I'm happy with it… for now. I'm going to start writing another one the second this goes up so hopefully it won't be another month! Lol seriously though, I won't do that to you again (without warning). Tootles!
