Reiko, Reiko, Reiko.
She was a beautiful sight to see, in class she was always smiling, but outside in the cold streets of downtown, she had eyes that screamed danger.
He got it in his head that she was a last supper kind of girl. He'd have his way with her when it was down to the last wire. If the Doves were going to get him, he was going to have his last taste of this world with her. It took a special sort of restraint for him not to just back her up into a dark alley and spoil his plan, but in his head it was well worth it.
Miss Reiko. Miss Lahey. Miss Reiko Lahey. Her scent was toxic; she sat behind him in English Lit, he thought he could handle his nose being forward and away, but he thought wrong. She annoyed the hell out of him when he tried to get some sleep in the middle of class, poking him in the back, in the side, she tried tickling him even. He never got any sleep, but he also never snapped at her, he'd just turn around and have a conversation with her.
She was a lonely person, he thought. He had watched her heading home late at night, that smile she wore around him was a lie. Just a masquerade of chatter and the shittiest jokes possible. He knew. He just pretended not to know, to embrace the girl she made everyone think she was. The one who was happy…
"JJ" her nails dug into the fabric-covered flesh between his shoulders, trailing downwards until the head of the seat he was in stopped her arm.
"What is it, Reiko dearest?" he sat up, slowly turning with dark eyes and a grin. He didn't care about the lecture that was being mumbled through by the professor. It was an easy three-credit class; the only thing was the final, but he could just study for it with someone else's notes. Preferably Reiko's.
"Here are my notes for the day, I was going to scan you a copy of them when I got home, but something has come up and I won't be home until late and by then I'll forget. I'm sorry, JJ" she rushed through the words, her green eyes darting everywhere but his face. She was like that, he would be right in her face and she could do nothing but look away. She wasn't a predator that was for sure. JJ thought so.
"Don't apologize to me, you couldn't have known something was going to come up"
She knew that. Oh, Reiko knew. What JJ couldn't have known was that she knew something was happening today.
JJ was bright, but he wasn't too bright.
