A.N. This chapter has been rewritten. I have decided to rewrite the whole story before continuing it. I hope you all enjoy. I changed Amelia's aunt's name, and have toned her down a considerable amount. Each chapter will be opening with a recap that will be essentially all apart of Amelia's documentary.

I do not own Ouran High School Host Club, or any of the awesome characters in it. I do own Amelia, and her story.

'My name is Amelia Adler. My parents are renowned in their field of Archaeology. My mother is from Japan, and met my father while study abroad in America. I was born in Japan. My mother named me after the famous female pilot Amelia Earhart. I've been all over the world with my parents, they mostly home schooled me, however they did like to stick me in the school systems whenever we spent an extended period of time in a country. In my early years when my mother still lived mostly in Japan I attended school. I spent four years in a Japanese elementary school. Other than that most of the other schools I only attended a couple months. The second longest I ever attended school was in America where I spent eight and ninth grade in the American school system while my parents taught at Universities.

I recently decided that I want to finish out my education in Japan. So I have moved here to live with my wonderful aunt Maiko, since my parents will be moving around a lot over the next couple years. My Aunt insisted that I take the entrance exam to Ouran Academy and to apply for the on of the several scholarships that Ouran offers, since I don't want to be reliant on my parents money. They do make a substantial amount but most of it goes to funding their adventures. I managed to somehow get into Ouran on the arts scholarship. There are three types of scholarships Ouran provides the first being an academics, the second being an athletics and the third is an arts. I entered a short film, and apparently they loved it, or else I wouldn't have received the scholarship.'

A blaring alarm woke Amelia up. With a few swears in English she rolled over and smacked the snooze button. She then snuggled back under her covers.

"Ame-chan you better be up! I'm making breakfast," Maiko called from the end of the hallway.

Amelia grumbled, "Damn morning people."

Maiko said from outside her door, "I heard that!"

"I hoped you would. You have the hearing of a dog," Amelia called back as she rolled herself out of bed, and slowly begrudgingly began to gather her clothes. She got dressed in a pair of black pants, a button up white shirt, and a gray vest. Amelia then stumbled out of her room and into the bathroom to relieve herself and finish getting ready.

Roughly ten minutes later she stumbled out of the bathroom no longer sporting her bedhead and instead her short brown hair was straightened. She stumbled into the kitchen and sat the table all the while glaring at her aunt, who was finishing up making omelets.

Maiko finished the omelets and set them on the table. She then went to the fridge poured out two glasses of orange juice and set them on table. Amelia grabbed her glass and drank about half of it before even touching the food.

"Thank you, Aunt Maiko," she said as she set in to her breakfast.

Maiko laughed at her and said, "No need to thank me. You need your energy for your first day attending such a prestigious school."

Amelia groaned at the thought of school. She was excited, yes, but she hated waking up early with a passion.

Her aunt gave her a sympathetic look as she said, "I know mornings suck."

"That's an understatement,"Amelia grumbled.

Maiko laughed and let her finish eating in peace. After they finished eating she took the plates to the sink. Amelia went back to her room and got her black back pack, which she had full with everything she would need plus her laptop and camcorder. When she got back in the kitchen there was a neatly wrapped present on the table.

She quirked an eyebrow at her aunt and asked, "What's that?"

Maiko smiled and gestured to the present as she said, "It's a gift from your parents and me. A sort of congratulations on getting into Ouran present."

"Oh?"

Maiko rolled her eyes, "Well go on open it."

Amelia set her bag down and went to the table and unwrapped it. She gasped and glanced at her aunt before tearing the rest of the wrapping paper.

"You guys got me a professional camcorder?!" she exclaimed.

"Yes well go on, you should take it with you," Maiko said.

Amelia didn't open the box and instead turned and threw arms around Maiko, "Thank you so much!"

Maiko laughed and returned the hug as she said, "You deserve it, Ame-chan."

Amelia pulled away from her aunt and went back to the box quickly taking it out. She out it together. She then pulled out her old camcorder and removed the sd card so she could put it in the new one. Once she did she turned it on and fiddled with the settings till she was satisfied.

"I made sure it was fully charged so you could take it to school," Maiko said to the now engrossed Amelia, "And speaking of school you need to leave now or you'll miss your bus."

Amelia glanced at the clock and sighed. She shut it off and placed it gently in her bag. Then proceeded to the door. Once at the door she slipped into her shoes and said, "Well I'm off then. Have a good day, Aunt Maiko."

Maiko smiled as she said, "You too, Ame-chan. Meet some cute boys."

Amelia laughed while she rolled her eyes and walked out of the house. Amelia had a ten minute walk to her bus stop, which she rode for fifteenth minutes before she got off and had twenty minute walk to Ouran. The first thing that clued Amelia that she was getting close to Ouran was by the increase of expensive cars and limos. Then of course the campus itself. She had to pause and take in just how massive it was. After a moment it occurred to her that she should have probably had her camcorder out. Oh well she could do that tomorrow, she needed to get acquainted with it first.

Surprisingly enough Amelia only got lost once attempting to find her classroom. When she got there there were only a few other students. She got a few looks from her classmates most likely due to her apparel, since she wasn't wearing the uniform. Scanning the classroom she noticed there wasn't a seating chart. Whilst she was getting familiar with her surroundings she noticed one other student who wasn't wearing the uniform. It was what she assumed was a boy he messy short hair and a pair of big glasses on. He also had his nose stuck in a book. Pushing her nerves aside Amelia walked over to him and sat at the desk next to him. Her classmate didn't seem to notice her, he was obviously engrossed in his book.

So she tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention and said, "Hi my name is Amelia am I right to assume your the other scholarship student?"

The boy looked up at her looking a tad annoyed from being drawn away from his book. He however smiled at her and said "Hi I'm Fujioka Haruhi. You are correct I am here on scholarship, as well. I wasn't aware that there was another scholarship student in this class."

Amelia smiled, "It's nice to meet you Fujioka-san. I got in on the arts scholarship. I wasn't even sure if I would be able to get in to be honest."

Haruhi smiled back, "Yeah my acceptance letter took longer than I thought it would, too."

"So you want to be friends considering we're both here on our pure skills alone, and not because we have a rich family?" Amelia asked.

Haruhi chuckled, "Yeah why not. So what kind of art do you do?"

Amelia grinned, "I'm an aspiring film maker. I submitted a short film as my portfolio for the scholarship."

"That's neat definitely different than what I've heard. I'm aspiring to be lawyer," Haruhi said.

"Oh that's good career choice. I know a lot about different government systems and their laws. Although I mostly focus on what type free speech and media related things," Amelia said.

Haruhi smiled at her, "That's cool."

Changing the topic Amelia asked, "So what's your impression of Ouran so far?"

Haruhi shrugged, "I haven't experienced it enough to give an opinion yet."

"The campus is amazing," Amelia said, "Usually university's have huge campuses. Like Oxford is huge."

"Yeah Ouran is pretty massive. Did you see the courtyard coming in?" Haruhi asked.

Amelia nodded. At that moment the teacher entered the classroom.

He began to take roll call. Once he got to Amelia's name he stumbled on her pronunciation. Apparently his English wasn't the best. He didn't really ask for them to give introductions. He went over what they would expect from their classes, and how prestigious Ouran was. He stayed with them for about an hour until their actual classes began.

The lunch break came and all of Amelia's classmates excluding Haruhi left to eat the cafeteria. Amelia opened her bag and swore in English. Haruhi looked at her quizically.

Amelia sighed as she said, "I forgot to grab my bento this morning."

Haruhi had his bento out on his desk and gave her look that said "How can you forget that."

"I was too excited this morning and completely forgot about it," she explained.

Haruhi stared at her and said, "You can have half of mine."

"No its okay. I'll be fi-" Amelia's protest was cut off be her stomach protesting quite loudly.

She laughed, "Okay maybe I won't. If you don't mind I will gladly accept your offer."

Haruhi chuckled and handed her a pair of chopsticks, "It's alright I actually think I made too much to eat anyway."

Amelia accepted the chopsticks and moved to the seat in front of Haruhi. She ate a little bit before a nagging question hit her.

"So Haruhi, your a girl, right?" she asked.

Haruhi laughed, "Yeah."

Amelia stared at her for a moment, "Okay just wanted to clear that up. I kind of thought you were a guy when I first met you. Sorry about that."

Haruhi stared at blankly before shrugging, "It's alright."

They ate and talked for a few minutes before Amelia got up and went to her bag.

"Hey Haruhi would you be up for an interview? The school kind of gave me an assignment to make a documentary on my year at Ouran, and I want to introduce my first friend I made here," Amelia asked.

Haruhi shrugged again as she resounded, "Okay."

Amelia smiled pulled out her camcorder and went back to the seat in front of Haruhi. She turned the camera on and lined up her shot of Haruhi.

She hit the record button and asked, "Okay, can you please introduce yourself? Give your full name, and what your aspirations are."

Haruhi smiled, "My name is Fujioka Haruhi. I'm in class 1-A. I'm studying at Ouran Academy on the the Academics scholarship. I am working towards becoming a lawyer."

"Thank you for your introduction Fujioka-san," Amelia said as she ended the recoding and returned to her seat.

"So you're really into this sort of stuff aren't you,?" Haruhi asked as she placed her camcorder back into her bag.

Amelia nodded, "Yeah, I love film. I really want to be a director. I really want make a movie on Samurai one day, or maybe have a show where you learn about history. I think that would be really cool."

"Oh so you're into history too?" Haruhi asked.

Amelia nodded again as she responded, "Yeah. A love for history has been ingrained in me since I was a kid. My parents are both Archeologists."

"Oh that's neat," Haruhi said.

A bell rang signaling that the lunch break would be over soon, and that students should return to their classrooms.

The rest of the school day was fairly uneventful. The first day was the same as almost every other school she had been in. Mostly it consisted of teachers going over what they would learn in class throughout the semester, and what was expected of the students.

Haruhi and Amelia left school together. Haruhi actually lived in a the same direction as Amelia. So they walked together to the bus stop, and that is where they parted ways. They talked a lot about their thoughts on the first day, and how different Ouran was from the previous schools they had attended. One of the topics they talked about was how crazy rich people were to have built such an elaborate campus. They eventually parted ways, and Amelia messaged her aunt that she was on her way home.

When she arrived home her aunt was expectantly waiting for her. Amelia walked into the house and slipped out her shoes. Then she headed into the living room where she found her aunt.

"I'm home," Amelia said cheerily.

Maiko smiled from her seated spot on the couch. She waved Amelia over, "So how was it?"

"Pretty dull," Amelia said flatly.

Maiko raised an eyebrow, "Dull?"

Amelia laughed, "Not really. It was actually pretty interesting. Ouran Academy is massive. I made friends the student who received the academics scholarship. She's pretty cool."

"That's good. You did talk to other people too, right?" Maiko said.

Amelia shook her head, "Not really. Fujioka-san was more interesting anyway. She is attending Ouran so she'll be able to become a lawyer."

Maiko smiled her niece, "Well I'm happy you managed to at least make one friend today. Even if she isn't a cute rich boy."

Amelia rolled her eyes, "Only you would be concerned about that."

Maiko laughed and said in a teasing tone, "You are attending a school fully of rich kids. It's the perfect opportunity to get a rich boyfriend."

"Like I said, Aunt Maiko, only you," Amelia laughed.

"So you enjoyed your day then?" Maiko asked.

Amelia nodded, "It was neat. A whole new experience. I'm excited for tomorrow."

Maiko smiled again, "Well that's good news."

"Well I'm going to my room for a bit. I've an assignment to work on," Amelia said.

Maiko gave her a sympathetic look, "Homework on the first day?"

"Yeah. I'll be back out for dinner," Amelia said.

She went to her room and began to work on the few minor introductory assignments she had been assigned.
