A/N Hello my faithful readers. There are no words to express how sorry I am that it took me so long to update this story. I just...I was waiting for inspiration and it took way too long to come and find me.
But we're back...and it's about to get good.
Thank you to my beautiful Betas: Katie (hybridlovelies) and Alex (klarolineepiclove).
I have given you a little recap of what you need to be reminded of for this chapter, since it's been so long and some of you may have forgotten. Heck! I almost forgot! LOL.
Previously on Cowboy and Indians…
They have found refuge with the Apache's.
Elijah had just informed Klaus that the Apache party taking place was in honor of Caroline being eligible for marriage.
Damon and Lexi had coerced Bill into taking him to see Mikael in exchange for information on the whereabouts of his daughter.
Winter was coming...
Chapter 15: Get Along Lil' Doggies
The Apache Camp
Five months later…
Klaus' eyes blinked open and he greeted the sun with a groan as it poured through the tiny opening on the ceiling of the tepee. The fire from last night had gone out, allowing the chilly morning air to seep in and dance across his exposed skin. He shivered and looked around, noticing the furs he had wrapped himself in were now in a heap on the other side of the bed.
"Typical," he mumbled to himself.
He rolled to his side and scooted closely to the heap, grabbing the edge to one of the furs and attempting to pull it back over him. The heap groaned and rolled away, taking the fur back with it. He smirked and shook his head, annoyed but at this point used to the morning routine. He scooted back over, and this time peeled the top of the covers back to reveal a mass of unruly blonde curls.
"You are a blanket thief," he told the heap.
The blonde turned her head and smiled but didn't open her eyes. Her cheeks were flushed, no doubt from all the missing heat from the room being trapped inside her fur cocoon.
"I am not," Caroline mumbled and pulled the fur back over her head.
"No, ma'am. No more sleeping," Klaus chided in his lazy southern drawl. He grabbed hold of the top of the furs and yanked them off of her and then tossed them to the end of the bed.
Caroline yelped and cursed as the chilly air met her hot, sweaty skin. She sat up and reached for the blankets but Klaus grabbed her hands. In a blink he was on top of her, pinning her hands above her head and grinning down at her like she was the canary and he the cat about to feast.
"You are in so much trouble," she tried to say seriously as she could while she squirmed beneath him.
"Oh am I?" he laughed. "Seems to me that you're the one who's in trouble."
He peered down at her body beneath him, naked and shivering and covered in goose bumps. He was appreciative of their habit of sleeping in the nude, it made the mornings much more interesting.
He dropped one hand to her shoulder, while keeping the other wrapped around her wrists. His hand moved down her side and back up again, lightly skimming her torso, then her breasts and finally gently removing the strands of hair that had fallen across her face. She lifted her chin to gaze at her captor and when their eyes connected her sweet laughter filled the tent and he let go of his grip. She didn't wrestle him any further, but instead cupped his face with her palm before sweeping away the curls from his forehead with her fingertips. Her brows were furrowed, as if she were deep in thought and when he asked,
"What's wrong?"
She told him, "You need a haircut," and twirled one of his curls around her index finger. Her eyes met his again and her hand returned to his cheek, and for a moment Klaus was without words. He was always caught off guard by the way her eyes danced across his face with such adoration and when she smiled, he just knew she would be the end of him. It had always been the most magnetic thing about Caroline Forbes, or should he say, Caroline Mikaelson.
A month after they entered the Apaches' camp a wedding took place. He was terrified but somehow, deep down he knew that it was right. He'd known she was his soulmate since the first time he saw her, and although they were young when he left, he remembered the silent vow he made to himself: if he were to ever encounter Caroline again, he would swoop her up and marry her before anyone else could.
As time grew on, of course that childhood logic began to drift away. Marriage was not a practical way of life for an outlaw like him. Although, Elijah would tell you differently, because it seemed that husbandry was always part of the plan for him, and fatherhood as well, as Elena was close to giving birth to their first child.
The idea of being a father scared Klaus even more than being a husband, but when he wakes up to mornings like this - mornings where he can almost feel the warmth and genuine beauty radiating from his wife, he honestly believes that life can only get better from here. No matter what comes their way, as long as he has her by his side, with her devotion and her patience, the unknown doesn't seem as scary as it once had.
Soon after the wedding, the snow started to fall. Klaus had asked Caroline if she would like to return to Mystic Haven and she told him she would eventually do that, but for now, she wanted to stay right where she was. Endure the winter together, and build a life with his siblings and their new Apache family.
The tribe provided them with their very own tepee, as well as helped them clear the land a little less than a mile away from the village. It felt odd being so far away from everyone, but she was appreciative of the space they were providing for the newlyweds. It was comfortable and compact with a small fire in the middle and a bathing basin in one corner. There were a few pots and pans, and plenty of fur that was given to them as wedding presents.
Klaus ventured out, almost daily, with the hunting parties to snare and trap more food. Luckily the tribe had already garnered their fair share of game and crops for the winter, for they knew the hidden passage that gave entrance to the valley would soon be covered in snow, trapping them until Spring. While Klaus hunted for what small creatures still roamed the snowy valley, Caroline would stay behind and tidy their home as well as hone her weaving skills and prepare meals. However, on most occasions she found herself in the company of her sisters.
When Klaus would return from a hunt, she greeted him with her arms around his neck and kissing him until they were out of breath. He would bring her inside, lower her to their bed and that's where they would stay for hours, sometimes days at a time.
He had just returned the night before, and their reunion went well into the evening. He had no idea what hour it was or even what day, all he knew was the beautiful woman underneath him.
He kissed the side of her jaw and down her neck. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and scooted down, parting her legs and allowing him to settle gently between them. Her body tensed as she felt his length slide between her legs and as he rubbed himself against her a fresh set of goosebumps arose across her body.
Klaus sucked on her neck and rubbed her breast with his palm. His hand roamed easily over her, as he had memorized every inch of her flesh. He moved his hand down and reached between her legs. She gasped and he grew harder, feeling how wet and ready she was for him once more.
He positioned himself and slid inside her with ease, and she moaned as he entered her fully. Their fingers entwined above her head as he picked up his pace. Their mouths collided, tongues mingled and lips became swollen as they devoured one another from the inside out. Her hands unlinked with his, and moved to his neck. Her head fell back and she gasped as her orgasm began to teeter on the edge.
Hi s hand movedunderneath her and grabbed hold, pulling her hips up off the bed and deepening himself inside her. It was what he knew she liked, and she knew exactly what to do for him in return. She thrust her hips forward to meet him, pumping in rhythm and grinding herself against him. He sat up and watched as she closed her eyes and began to writhe underneath him. The small whimpers that escaped her soft pink lips grew louder and her hands grasped the bedding. He moved his hand between her legs and rubbed her with his thumb and her eyes shot open and a loud cry escaped her. He watched his enthusiastic bride delight in her sexuality, as she made eye contact with him again and began to massage her own breasts. This was a far cry from the woman he took to bed for their very first time.
The day of their wedding was a blur but he remembers their vows, and the distant prayers of the chief as he bound their hands and their lives together. They danced with his family and ate their fill of the feast but he could tell that she was just as anxious as he was to retire to their new home.
He had every confidence in the world when it came to women in the past, but with Caroline he felt as though it was his first time as well. He felt a deep responsibility to make that night the most comfortable and perfect moment for her. She was giving him something that she had offered to no other man. He kissed her tenderly and whispered his vows again in her ear, reiterating that his love for her would be ceaseless and that his life was now hers.
When she stepped back and allowed her dress to fall and pool to the floor, he couldn't imagine anything more perfect. Her body glistened as the firelight danced across her pink flesh, and she dropped her head, blushing as his eyes raked over her body. When he stepped forward and lifted her eyes to his, he saw more love and more devotion in them than he knew he deserved.
"I will treasure you always," he had whispered to her and closed his mouth on hers.
When he entered into her for the first time, it was as though he felt life coursing back through his veins. No longer was he an empty man, with a sordid past, but he was now a man with purpose. She had rescued him from the devil tearing at his soul, and brought him back to a time where loving her was the only thing that mattered. His childhood, his life of crime, and his vendettas all fell to the wayside and a new life began to blossom.
But no longer was Caroline the shy, virgin bride he made love to all those months ago, but now she knew what she wanted and showed dominance in their bed. He sat up on his knees and she wrapped her legs around his waist, and hands around his neck. She arched her back and with his guidance, she lifted herself to his eye level. She kissed him as he held her in place before slowly starting to move once more.
Her body pressed firmly into his and her hands cradled his head. He nipped and sucked her shoulder and grabbed hold of her ass, squeezing and guiding her hips as she slid slowly up and down on him. His hands massaged up her back and gripped her shoulders from behind, pulling her down and keeping her in place. She squirmed and cried out, as he filled her to the hilt, and she moved from side to side and back and forth. When she pulled back from him and looked him in the eye, he began to guide her again, only this time with more force. She pounded on top of him, gripping his shoulders and adding momentum to their rhythm. He knew she was near the end when she flung herself forward, hugging his head and pulling him into her chest. He could feel her hot and ragged breath against his ear and when a small cry escaped and her body and grip tightened,he knew she had climaxed. He continued to move and brought her to the end before finally succumbing to his own need. He growled into her neck, his teeth scraping against her flesh as his orgasm pulsed through him.
They collapsed to the bed, no longer cold from the morning air but hot and sweaty from their morning tryst. Caroline laughed and curled into her husband, running a hand across his chest.
"What shall we do today?"
"The snow from the pass has melted," he answered. "The men and I are going to go outside the valley and into the nearest town for supplies.
Caroline sat up and looked at her husband with concern. "Are you sure that's safe?"
Klaus nodded. "They've traded with them plenty in the past."
"I'm not concerned for the Apache's. I'm concerned for you. There's still a price on your head."
He turned on his side so they were facing each other and began to play with the loose curl beside her ear. He examined her face and the concern that washed over her beautiful features.
"Nothing's going to happen to me," he promised and kissed her on the forehead to seal his oath.

"This is a bad idea, Damon."
"Lexi, when have you ever known me to have a bad idea?" He said with all seriousness but she could see the laughter dancing behind his blue orbs.
Lexi dismounted from her horse and stood beside the narrow path that lead to the Apache village. She tossed her horse's reins over its head and began to walk beside Damon. "I just think you should've stayed back at the cabin. I should do this alone."
Damon stopped and sighed. He took a step toward Lexi and cupped her face with one hand. An intimate gesture between two people who have been each other's only companion for the past six months. "He's my brother and they're our friends, Lex," he said with sincerity.
Lexi reached up to place her hand over Damon's and glancing up at him with worry whispered, "And you almost got Rebekah killed." She stepped back and shook her head.
"That's not something they're just going to forget."
"Trust me, Lexi. This is the best way to get back in their good graces."
She sighed heavily, allowing the tension between her shoulders to relax. "I miss them. I miss Stefan...I really do, but…"
"But…" he urged her.
"I love you, Damon, and if that means I never get to see Stefan and the Mikaelsons again, then I'm okay with that. Because I know you're safe, and I know that we're together."
Damon closed the distance between them and firmly placed his lips upon Lexi's. "I will forever be in your debt, Lex. You stayed with me when you shouldn't have and that means more to me than you'll ever know. But, I need my brother, and we can't do this without the Mikaelsons."
She nodded, blinking back the tears that wanted to break free. "Okay," she complied before he pressed his lips to hers once more. She opened her mouth and deepened the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing herself completely against him. He grabbed hold of the back of her shirt, hugging her just as closely and with just as much urgency.
When they broke loose, she sighed. "Why couldn't we have just stayed in bed this morning?"
He chuckled and swiped her cherub cheek with his thumb. "I was tempted." He grabbed hold of her hand and the reins of both horses and pulled her forward toward the crevice.

Klaus and Caroline made the half mile trek back to the village where Klaus was to meet the others for the excursion. They held hands and didn't speak but glanced at each other every so often, smiling as though their lovemaking was a treasured secret between the two of them. Caroline had a delicious ache throughout her body, that made saying goodbye a little easier. Although his absence would remain in her heart until he returned, it also give her ample time to recuperate. She chuckled when she thought of this and he squeezed her hand.
"What's so funny?" he asked.
"Nothing. Just thinking about how much I'll miss you but that my body is grateful for the reprieve."
"Is that so?" He turned to wrap his arms around her waist. "Rest up, wife, because when I return…"
His mouth closed onto hers, as he let his tongue finish the sentence for him. Everything that he promised her, all the things that he'll do to her, all encompassed in that succulent kiss.
"Can the pair of you even be within an arms length without having to slobber all over each other?"
They broke apart and laughed, hearing the younger Mikaelson's jeering.
"Don't be jealous, Kol," Klaus teased and threw an arm around his brother. "Maybe one day you'll decide to marry one of those poor native girls and you'll be as happy as Caroline and I."
"Now why would I want just one, when I can have them all?" Kol responded, and Caroline couldn't help but see the resemblance between him and a kid in a sweet shop.
"Oh Kol, don't ever change," she said and looped her arm around his and began walking back to town.
"I wouldn't dream of it, Care."
They reached the edge of the village and made the short walk to Elijah and Elena's home, where they were greeted by a young Apache emerging from their tepee. He nodded at them and continued on his way. Caroline recognized him as one of the many foot messengers the scouts used to relay messages, and her curiosity was immediately piqued.
Caroline started to ask permission for entrance but before she could, Elijah drew back the leather flap to his home and greeted them with a smile. "Good morning, family."
"What was that all about?" Caroline asked as she watched the boy run back to his post.
Elijah took a deep breath and offered a tight smile. "It seems we have a visitor."
"Who?" Kol interjected. "Do I need to go get my gun?"
"Why are you so trigger happy?" Caroline scolded him.
"I haven't killed a man in over six months, Caroline, I fear I'm out of practice."
She rolled her eyes, knowing Kol was full of poppycock.
Elijah started walking in the same path as the Apache boy and the rest of them followed. "No need for your gun, Kol. We have a friend visiting, not a foe."
They reached the Chief's tepee and the native standing guard gave them entrance. When they stepped into the dimly lit room it wasn't hard to see the luminescent blonde hair of their very own Lexi.
"Lex!" Kol shouted and ran to embrace her. "Please tell me you dumped that son-of-a-bitch Damon and finally came to your senses."
Lexi smiled and looked around the room. She gulped and tried to hide her intimidation. "Actually," she began slowly, "Damon's the reason why I'm here."

The small creek that ran through the valley was beginning to show life once more. The snow had melted around it's edges and the green grass was sprouting all around. It was peaceful here with only the sounds of the creek and the birds chirping to wake the rest of nature up. There was a small rabbit refreshing itself near the creek's bank. Its fur was matted and splotchy in places, finally awake after months of hibernation.
Stefan shared the creek with the critter, filling a large bucket with the ice cool water. It had been a couple days since his last bath and his muscles were aching to soak in a basin. Rebekah just needed one more bucket to boil over the fire and he would be seeping in lavender scented bath water before noon.
It had been a long, hard winter, but being with Rebekah had made the past few months bearable. Granted, they had to share their tepee with Kol, but he was gone most nights anyway. Hopping between the tepees of the eligible native girls and engaging in multiple activities. It's really a miracle that he hadn't been tarred and feathered by this point, but the Apache's didn't seem bothered by his flirtations, and were more than happy to share the young hooligan and allow him to keep them warm at night.
Stefan loved Rebekah, and was anxious to make an honest woman of her, but there was a part of him missing. He felt it everyday when he woke up, and as much as it pained him to think of all that had happened, there was no denying that Damon's presence was an essential part of his life.
He didn't know where he'd gone or what he was doing, and being the only family that Stefan had left, it was hard for him to fully accept that he may never see him again. He could be dead, for all he knew, since there was still a bounty out for his arrest. Damon and Lexi didn't have the luxury of hiding as they did. They were forced to go underground or most likely they've returned to the cabin to survive the winter.
He silently prayed for his brother's safekeeping. Lighting a candle each night and praying with his rosary beads. He felt better knowing that Lexi was with him. It had to be helpful having a sharp shooter like her covering his behind.
Rebekah was incredibly understanding and forgiving. More so than he knew Damon deserved. She understood the importance of family and had even mentioned that it would be alright if Stefan left to find him. However, it was never an option for him. Maybe one day, but for now his heart was with Rebekah, and he had to believe that his prayers and thoughts were being echoed in his brother's heart. No matter where he might be.
When the bucket was full he stood to pick it up, but stopped when he heard a rustling behind him. He turned on his heels, expecting to see a deer or another rabbit coming to the creek for a morning drink. What he wasn't expecting was to see the amused expression of his wayward brother.
"Damon."
"Hello, brother."
"Wha- how...how did you get past the scouts?"
Damon took a step closer and laughed. "Let's just say they were a bit preoccupied with a certain blonde to pay any attention to me."
Stefan knew he meant Lexi, and he sighed with relief, releasing a worry that had been with him since the day they sent Damon on his way and Lexi went with him.
"So she's okay? You're both...okay?" he asked tentatively, not sure how to start a conversation.
"We're fine. I've missed you, brother."
Stefan stepped toward him and Damon smiled, waiting for his brother to embrace him. Instead he felt his feet leave the ground and his cheek split open as Stefan's fist collided with his face. He fell to the ground with a thud and a grunt, annoyed that he didn't see that coming. He sat up on his elbows and looked up at his younger brother who looked down at him with more hurt than anger in his eyes.
"I deserved that," Damon said. "I'm real sorry, Stef. I hope you know that."
Stefan didn't answer him, but lifted his chin in the air and gave a small nod. He reached his hand down and Damon accepted it. He pulled him to his feet and into an embrace.
"Klaus is going to kill you," he spoke Damon's fear into existence.
"Well," Damon chuckled, trying to mask the same worry he'd been harboring since waking up that morning. He placed a hand on Stefan's shoulder and squeezed. "It's a good thing I have my baby brother to protect me.
(***)
"He's here?!"
Klaus was enraged. He paced the Chief's tent, hands flailing in the air and his face as red as a tomato. It had been a long time since Caroline had seen him so heated. He had been so warm and thoughtful with her this past winter that she had almost forgotten the ruthless outlaw that was buried underneath.
"Why the hell would you show Damon where this place was? What gave you the right to make that decision, Lexi?"
Lexi tried to stand firm in her stance. She held her fists at her side and never lost eye contact with the irate bandit before her. "Because he made a mistake, Klaus, he's still-", she tried to tell him, but Klaus turned toward her cutting her off and she couldn't help but back away.
"Is this what you really believe, Lexi, or is it what you want to believe?" he pointed a finger at her. "Do you think he cares for you, all because he's been spreading your legs every night this winter?"
"Klaus-" Caroline gasped when she heard those horrible words spill out of her husband.
Lexi's cowardice expression turned to one of wrath and she lunged toward Klaus. It didn't matter that he outmatched her in strength, her fingernails itched to dig into his flesh. She lunged to scratch at his face, but clawed the air instead. Elijah had stepped forward, wrapping his arms around her waist and holding her back. Kol went to Klaus, a palm splayed across Klaus' chest to hold him back as well. "Whoa there brother," he told him. "I know you're angry, but Lex doesn't deserve that."
"Damon almost got Rebekah killed, Kol, or have you forgotten why we sent that piece of shit packing?" Klaus held a hand in the air, and looked square at his brother, daring him to continue playing Devil's advocate.
"Yes, Klaus," Elijah finally chimed in with his elder brother tone. "Damon almost got Rebekah killed, not Alexis."
Lexi went limp in Elijah's arms and he let her go. She turned to him and smiled, silently thanking him for sticking up for her. The smile quickly vanished when Klaus reared back toward her. Kol still stood between them, trying to keep the peace.
Klaus stayed silent for quite sometime, the wheels in his head turning behind those steel blue eyes. Caroline knew he was contemplating his next move. Does he give into his brothers and let Lexi say her peace? Does he leave the tent and not have anything to do with it? Or worse, does he demand to see Damon so he can finish him off like he wanted to do all those months ago?
Caroline stepped forward and placed her hand in Klaus'. He looked down at their enclosed hands and then back up at Caroline. She tilted her head and gave him a small smile, hoping her presence would be calming and help to keep him rational. He jutted his jaw to the side and sighed, and she could see the rage reduce to a simmer.
"Fine. Talk," he told Lexi but kept his eye on Caroline.
Lexi hesitated for a moment but then started talking before Klaus could change his mind.
"After you kicked Damon and I out-"
"We didn't kick you out, Lexi!" Klaus interrupted and it became clear to Caroline why he was so angry with Lexi. It didn't bother him that she told Damon where to find them, but that she left them to begin with. Lexi seemed to understand this as well and she lowered her head, nodding and agreeing with what Klaus had just said.
"I'm sorry, Klaus," she told him and looked around the room. "I'm sorry to all of you. It's just that…"
She trailed off and Caroline could see the tears swelling in her eyes. "You love him," Caroline finished for her and Lexi nodded.
Nobody said anything for quite sometime, letting Lexi compose herself to continue with her story. But when the silence became too much, Kol finally piped up.
"What's not to love? Tall and dark with chiseled features…" he paused with a dramatic sigh, "and those eyes…" He looked at Lexi and nodded as if he completely understood. Lexi chuckled, Kol's humor adding a lightness to the room that had been missing since they first stepped into it.
Klaus rolled his eyes and went to sit down on the other side of the room. Caroline followed and sat down beside him, placing his hand back into hers while they gave Lexi their full attention.
"Go on Lexi, why are you and Damon here?"
"After Damon and I left, we weren't quite sure what to do with ourselves, so we did a few jobs here and there, trying to keep afloat. We ended up in Abilene, like everyone else and had just sat down for some whiskey and cards when we overheard some gentleman talking at a nearby table. Turned out to be none other than Mayor Lockwood, and another gentleman we never caught the name of."
"Get to the point, Lexi," Klaus huffed.
"I'm gettin' there," Lexi sassed back, feeling more at ease with her old gang. "Anyway, they were talkin' about Mikael."
This got the attention of the room and they all perked up at the sound of their father's name.
"What about him?"
Lexi took some time to say her next words, glancing between the brothers before landing on Caroline. She didn't think anything of it until Lexi's expression became almost sympathetic.
"What?" Caroline asked, confused on why she was suddenly garnering all the attention.
"The Mayor was talking about a colleague of his. A man that had been an associates of Mikael's and was using his influences to help spread the railroad further west."
Lexi kept her gaze on Caroline and she felt a lump begin to grow in her throat. She already knew what Lexi was going to say, but needed to hear the words from her.
"Caroline...I'm so sorry, but it looks like your father has been in cahoots with Mikael for a real long time."
"That's not possible," Caroline whispered, tears beginning to well in her eyes.
"He's been taking bribes from Mikael in order to help convince the neighbors to let Mikael build his railroad through their land."
The room was silent, nobody wanting to say what was on their mind. Caroline felt Klaus' arm wrap tightly around her and she felt her walls crumble. "There...there has to be a mistake. My father would never work with that man. He helped run Mikael out of town all those years ago. It doesn't make sense!" She looked at Lexi, her eyes pleading for an explanation.
Lexi just shook her head. "I wish I could tell you it wasn't true, but, after we left Abilene, we thought this new bit of information might help us get even more on Mikael and so," she paused and looked at Caroline again, "we went to see your father."
Caroline's eyes widened and fear struck her immediately. "Is he...did you…"
"He's fine," Lexi assured her. "Damon just sort of...put some pressure on him."
"How do you mean?" Elijah had been quiet for most of the exchange but his interest was clearly piqued.
Caroline could tell that she didn't want to say what she was about to, as she watched Lexi's eyes go from the ceiling to the floor, never making eye contact with anyone in the room. "He may have persuaded Bill to take us to see Mikael."
The room broke out into a dozen questions at a time, but Caroline made her voice be heard over the others. "Did he hurt my father?" she asked, anger starting to boil inside of her.
"No, no," Lexi quickly explained. "He just...traded some information."
Klaus rose to his feet and the anger he showed earlier was nothing compared to the red hot rage creeping up his neck and settling behind his eyes. He spoke quietly but his tone suggested that Lexi be very careful with her next words. "What did you tell him, Lexi?"
She held up her hands in defense, "Nothing that is putting anyone in this room in harms way! I promise!"
"What did you tell him?" It was Elijah's turn to interrogate, and he grabbed hold of Lexi's wrist to further explain.
Caroline knew what they were thinking. That Damon had given up her location in exchange for information about Mikael. Her heart was in her throat, just thinking about her father trying to rescue her and the bloodshed that would take place. He can't come here. He can't try and find her.
"Does he know where I am?!" she shouted, finally asking the question that was on everyone's mind.
Lexi half smiled at Caroline and shook her head. "No, Caroline, he doesn't know."
Caroline could sense she was telling the truth, and she took a deep breath, relief washing over her. And she wasn't the only one. The room's tension dissipated and everyone seemed to breathing a little better. Klaus even sat back down, grabbing hold of her hand and bringing it to his lips.
"We did tell Bill that we knew of your whereabouts, but we didn't tell him where you were. It was the only way he would take us to see Mikael."
"And why the hell did you go see our father?"
Lexi's mouth broke into a wide smile. "It was the best way to find out as much information as we could about the next train."
"Why would he tell you anything?"
"Because why wouldn't he tell two people who were looking for a little payback toward the infamous Demon Dogs?" Her eyes lifted and she grinned at the Mikaelsons.
The pieces fell into place and a brand new energy filled the room.
"He thinks you're workin' for him," Kol said to Lexi, barely able to contain his excitement.
Lexi nodded and looked at Klaus, waiting for his reaction, still understanding her chain of command.
"Well, Boss...what do you think?"
There you have it! Hope it was worth the wait!
Let me know what you thought in a little review. I am really excited to finish this story and would love your feedback.
