Byakuya's head raised as Renji came barreling into his office. It was clear he had run to get there, but as soon as he entered, he bowed and said, "Sir! Yamamoto-sou-taicho has requested to see you. Sir!"
Byakuya blinked as he briefly wondered why Yamamoto would want to see him, but he simply nodded at Renji and said, "I will go at once." He flash stepped out of his office leaving Renji alone inside, smirking. He has no idea what Yamamoto wants him to do, Renji thought with a chuckle.
He ambled out of Byakuya's office, a wide smirk on his face.
Byakuya was curious, he couldn't deny it. He had absolutely no idea why Yamamoto would want him, so he left as fast as possible. As soon as he entered Yamamoto's office, he was bewildered. There seemed to be nothing special about it…then again, Yamamoto never took great pains to make it out of the ordinary.
However, after leaving the office, Byakuya felt a sense of dismay. Senbonzakura, what have I gotten myself into? he asked his sword.
