Escape of Asgard

"It's madness!" Volstagg thundered from where he sat, which was next to Thor in one of the green leather chairs by the fireplace, when he had heard the whole plan.

"For once, Volstagg is right." Loki spoke up, he was sitting on the edge of his and Eris' bed and he had somehow been able to stay silent through the whole speech, though now everyone looked at him.

"Are there any better ideas?" Thor asked.

"Well, for one, don't let Fandral come for the Lady Jane." Loki told him. "Allow Eris or Sif to do it, secondly, with all of the guards around us, you don't stand a chance at getting out, especially if you continue to refuse to furnish me with a weapon of some sorts and third-"

"Okay, before this turns into another war, let's just leave it there." Eris suddenly butted in, moving to stand between the two princes since she had noticed Loki and Thor starting to square up to each other. "Look, Sif and I will go and get Jane, then we will meet you two in corridor in between the armoury and the balcony which overlooks the training courtyard, does that sound better?"

Both of the princes nodded, before Loki and Thor went to opposite sides of the space that they had been stood in and Eris breathed a silent sigh of relief before she looked at Sif who was stood leaning against a table closest to the cradles of the children. "Does that sound okay to you?"

Sif looked at her and she nodded. "You could have actually given me a task that was even the slightest bit difficult."

"Yeah, but oh well." Eris smiled as Sif did.

"So, how and when do we do this?" Fandral asked.

"We leave at dawn, get into position then and from there we take Jane away from Asgard." Thor told him.

Everyone simply nodded, before they sat around, Fandral and Eris cleaning and sharpening their swords and Sif and Loki getting along long enough to play with the children while Thor and Volstagg watched the whole scene.

When it came to dawn, before they left the room, Eris and Loki bid goodbye to their children, with the promise that they would be safe. Eris went with Sif and they walked through the halls towards the room in which Jane was being kept. As they approached the corridor leading towards Jane's room, they saw a guard walk in with a plate of food, however as the two women approached the door, they were stopped.

"What is your business?" A guard asked.

"Do you not know who we are?" Sif asked him.

"The Lord Odin has commanded that no one should see the Lady Jane until the Dark Elves have been de-" He suddenly choked and both of the guards collapsed as Eris looked at Sif.

"What?"

"That was smooth." Sif commented.

"I don't exactly want to have to hear that from every guard that we come up against, you know." Eris told her and she pushed the door open just as Sif hit the other guard on the back of the head just as Jane told him that she wasn't hungry.

"Come on let's go."

Eris watched as Jane pulled on her jacket over the dress and all three of them left the room, moving much quicker down the corridors until they reached Thor and Loki, with Loki now suddenly in handcuffs, yet she didn't have time to question it, especially not when soldiers were suddenly running down the corridors after them.

"What's the plan?" Eris asked.

"Take her and go." Sif told them as she readied her weapons.

"Thank you, Sif." Thor told her before he watched her suddenly press one side of her spear to Loki's throat.

"If you betray him, I'll kill you." She warned him and as the two shared a look, Eris, Jane, Thor and Loki all ran in a direction, away from the oncoming guards. As they ran, they soon came to the ship that some of Malekiths army used to get into Asgard where they found Volstagg.

"You have got to be kidding me." Eris told him. "How the fuck are you going to fly that?"

"With your help." Thor told her as he helped Jane get onto the ship.

As Eris moved to stand with Volstagg, she watched as he suddenly stopped Loki, by placing a hand on his chest.

"If you even think about betraying him-" Volstagg started but was cut off by Loki.

"You'll kill me?" Loki guessed. "Evidently there will be a line."

His smugness made Eris smile to herself and she watched her husband climb onto the ship as some guards rounded the corner.

"Eris, remember where to meet us." Thor called to her, and at seeing her nod, he started to find a way to get the ship moving.

As Thor busied himself, Eris looked at Volstagg as she readied her swords. "Bet that I could take down more than you could."

"You're on little lass." Volstagg told her, brandishing his axe, just as guards ran towards them and the pair of them started to fight back.

Volstagg took the worst of it, as Eris was also using her power to get the ship into the air, and only when they were off and away, did she turn her full attention to helping Volstagg. However, half way through the fight, Volstagg looked at her. "Eris, get out of here!"

At his command, Eris ran, moving at a blur and knocking any guards that were in her path down, and she headed to the port where she found Fandral and the pair of them got onto a boat and set off as fast as they could, and soon they found themselves flying behind the ship that Loki, Thor and Jane had escaped on, and all of a sudden there was a jolt as Loki suddenly landed in their boat, followed by a graceful landing from Thor who was carrying Jane in his arms.

"I see your time in the dungeons has made you no less graceful Loki." Fandral mocked, though he stopped when he was hit in the stomach by one of Eris' elbows, which causing Loki to smile at his wife.

They stayed together for a little while longer, before their boat suddenly gave a jolt and they all turned around to see two of the guard vessels had followed them and were now following them.

"Eris..." Thor sad her name in a warning tone that almost had Loki seething, no one spoke to his wife like that, well no one but him.

Eris moved to stand on the edge of the boat, and she held her hands over the water that they were flying over and as two pillars of water rose, she suddenly threw her hands to the side and the two pillars hit the leading vessel, but the other was able to dodge them.

"Fandral, you're up." Eris told him and they swapped places, so that she had hold of the mechanism to move the boat and Fandral picked up some rope that was tied to the other side of the boat.

"For Asgard." He told them with a salute, before he suddenly jumped from the other side of the boat ad landed on the one behind and as he started to duel the passengers, Eris was able to steer their boat away before she gave the steering to Loki.

"Show us your escape route." Eris told him and Loki took it from her, before he steered towards a stack of rocks. At seeing the rocks, Eris suddenly got a bad feeling about this and at seeing the crazy look on her husband's face, she knew her feeling was right.
