Chibi Romano pouted. He was thinking about leaving Spain for good.

"That idioto only cares about Elena and her stupido bambini. They don't care about me at all," he was already beginning to pack his things. He sniffled and wiped his nose. The window would be his only escape.

"Romano?" came Elena's voice, "Could you ome here, please?" Romano frowned. Why should he? It was probably some stupid chore she wanted him to do. Reluctantly, he went to see what Elena wanted of him.

Elena was sitting on the couch and was smiling warmly. Her baby bump was starting to come into view.

"Come here," she said, holding out her hand, "Come sit by me. I want to show you something." Romano climbed up beside her.

"What, eh?!" he grumbled. Elena took his hand and placed it on her belly. Romano blushed. Something was starting to move in there.

"Feel that? Someone's waiting to meet you," she said. Romano sat there, completely memorized. Something felt good about feeling his younger sibling. Then he ran off into the kitchen.

"What's wrong?" Elena asked him.

"Nothing, eh! I was just thinking about- I should get some tomatoes," Romano said. Elena raised an eyebrow.

"Without a basket to carry them in?"

"I'a was just'a getting one!" Romano said as he grabbed a basket from the table, blushing. He closed the door.

"I wonder what's bothering Romano?" Elena said.

Romano gently yanked a tomato from the vine. He had to get away from Elena for a moment. Feeling her baby bump brought back memories of his younger brother. He didn't appreciate that too well. He put down the basket and went to the casa door. He opened it slightly and peeked through. He could see cars passing by and the market not too far off. Romano smirked. He could escape now that he had the chance.

"What are you doing there, Romano?" came Spain's voice. Romano froze and slowly turned his head to see Spain, holding an ax. Romano figured he went to the basement to make some weapons. Romano blushed, feeling ashamed that he was caught trying to sneak away.

"Um...uh...nothing," he lied. Then one of Spain's donkeys walked up and began sniffing at the basket of tomatoes.

"Don't let him have that!" Spain said, as he began to walk to the donkey to stop it. Romano went after the donkey too. The donkey looked both ways at them. He brayed and twitched his ears.

"Slowly," Spain told Romano, "Don't startle him." They both slowly walked to the donkey. When he was close enough, Romano grabbed the donkey's rope the hung around his neck. The donkey didn't like it, however and began to back away.

Romano tried to lead the donkey away from the tomatoes, but the donkey was stubborn and refused to move.

"Come on, Stupido!" Romano glared. The donkey lied down, and Romano was losing his patience. Spain slapped him on the behind for him to get up. The donkey did, but now ran away braying, with Romano in tow! Spain gasped while Romano screamed.

"Romano! I'm coming!" Spain shouted after him as he chased after him and the donkey.

When the donkey was close enough, Spain umped on the donkey and grabbed his rope. He tugged on the rope, making the donkey stop. Romano was covered in dirt, head to toe. Spain picked him up.

"Are you alright, Romano?" Romano was angry and punched Spain in his gut.

"No! You stupido jerk-hole! I'ma not okay! Why did you have to slap him so hard, eh?"

"Come on," Spain smiled. He took the donkey's rope and tied him to a post, away and out of sight of the tomatoes. He cuddled Romano.

"There, there. Let's get you inside and clean you up, si?" Spain was beging to get dirty as well, but he only laughed about it.

When Spain opened the door, Elena stared at them with her mouth wide open.

"Goodness! You two must have had fun. But how did you get all dirty?"

"One of the donkeys got lose. Romano and I had to chase him around and we got a little dirty," Spain told her. Romano sighed deeply. He was never getting out of here, was he? He was going to get stuck in Spain forever.
