AN- Another chapter done! :D Yay! I really like this one. It's really cute :) Hope you like it!

It was the day after the doctor came to check and cast Enjolras's leg, and the cast was already driving him insane. The doctor said that he couldn't walk on his leg for two weeks and then he could walk, with the assistance of a crutch, for six more weeks. But for those six weeks, he was cautioned not to exert himself too much, and he was not supposed to go outside. Enjolras had nothing to look forward to but eight weeks of pure agony.

"It's really not that bad, Enjolras," Combeferre tried to convince his friend.

"Yeah, look at the bright side," Joly started. Combeferre and Enjolras turned their attention to him. "At least you're not dead." Everyone got really quiet, not wanting to talk about the fates of their fallen friends.

Joly and Combeferre were both very worried about Enjolras. After three days, Enjolras had become extremely withdrawn. Both men could tell that their friend was hurting, but neither of them knew what to do.

On top of the guilt Enjolras felt for his other friends deaths, he worried about Eponine. After nearly five days, she still hadn't woken up, her fever hadn't gone away, and her wounds looked like they were getting an infection. If she didn't wake up soon, Enjolras would have another death on his conscience.

Later that night, Enjolras woke up screaming, covered in sweat, from another nightmare. They were now waking him up every night, but this time, neither of his friends were there for him to disturb. Both Combeferre and Joly had gone out to get some money because they figured that there would be less police out looking for them.

As Enjolras sat in bed, trying to go back to sleep and failing, he heard talking coming from the other room.

Eponine, Enjolras thought. She must be talking in her sleep. At least that means that she's getting a little better if she's conscience enough to talk. As Enjolras settled back and started to drift back to sleep, and ear-piercing scream jolted him back to reality.

Eponine!

Enjolras swung his legs over the side of his bed and hobbled over to Eponine's room as fast as he could, completely forgetting his crutch. Enjolras ignored the pain that shot through his leg with every step he took, more concerned about Eponine then himself.

"Eponine!" Enjolras said, gently shaking her shoulder. "Wake up!" She had stopped screaming, but she was squirming around, obviously having a nightmare. "Eponine, please?!"

Eponine's eyes shot open. At first, she just looked up at the ceiling, but then sensed a presence next to her. She slightly turned her head and focused her pair of chocolate-brown eyes on a pair of beautiful, steel-blue eyes.

"A-are…are you an angel?" Eponine asked, unsure of where she was and who she was looking at. "Where am I?"

"Eponine, it's Enjolras!" he exclaimed, "and you're alive, here on Earth." He smiled, happy that Eponine was finally awake.

"That makes sense…" she started. "My chest hurts, and I'd like to believe that if I was dead, I wouldn't feel any pain." Eponine smiled, her sense of humor still intact.

Enjolras chuckled, but stopped when he saw Eponine try to move and then wince in pain. "No, don't try to move. You'll reopen your wounds if you do," he explained.

"It hurts…" she said meekly.

"Let me get you something for that." Enjolras hobbled out of the room to get her a glass of water and the medicine that Joly said was for Eponine when she woke up.

"Here, take this," he said. He gave her the pill, and then he then helped her take a sip of water. "There you go," he said after she had taken the medicine. He knew that Eponine wouldn't be awake for much longer because he had put something in her water to help her go back to sleep.

Enjolras watched as Eponine's eyelids started to flutter close. He turned around to go back to his own room but stopped when he heard Eponine call his name.

"Enjolras?" He turned around to look at her. "Would you stay with me?" she asked.

"Of course." He whispered and walked over to her bed, lying down next to her. Scooting closer, he put his arm around her as she rested her head on his shoulder.

Together, they drifted off to sleep in each other's arms.
