So we now have a new chapter. I honestly wanted to make this a mostly comedy chapter, and that is what it is. So expect comedy, some back story and a ship setting sail.
Enjoy
"So you have a sister," Lapis said, "and you have weird eyes. Anything else you wanna tell us like you're actually masquerading as a wolf faunus when you're really some inter dimensional being sent to Remnant."
"Lapis, that's stupid," Blaise deadpanned. "That's like some freaky hardcore Mary Sue fanfiction stuff where I'm just constant character development. And anyway my eyes aren't normally like that," he then held open his eyelids to show everyone that his eyes were white with red irises, "I think they only turn black whenever I get into a serious fight like Yang's."
"And the strange aura?" Zaria asked as she sat down on a bench, "Was that your semblance?"
"What? You mean the growing of claws? No," Blaise said then a black aura formed around his arms for a second then disappeared revealing his white claws with red lines through it, "Most faunus can do this sort of thing if their animal is a predator, and same thing goes for the teeth." The then used his black aura over his hands making the claws revert back to normal. "I actually don't think I've used my semblance yet this year. So any more questions?"
The room was silent before Yang spoke up. "So your sister. Do you have her name?"
"Her name is Luc-" Blaise said before the intercom came on interrupting him.
"Sorry everybody," Frank apologized, "but the storm spread more towards the west covering most of Vale, so the only way we can get back to Beacon is through the storm."
"Can we try a different route?" Eva asked him through the microphone.
"The only other route is to circle around flying over Atlas, and if we do that we'll have to fill up the fuel tank because these kinds of airships aren't designed for personal transport," Frank explained.
"Everyone, what should we do?" Eva asked covering the microphone.
"Well I don't think we have any choice," Blaise said, "We'll have to go to Atlas."
"We could brave the storm," Yang suggested, "I kinda didn't tell Ruby about going on this little trip so she's probably frantic right now."
-Meanwhile at Beacon-
"Hey guys, where is Yang?" Ruby asked while eating a cookie and reading one of her comics. "It seems like a bad storm is going to come in."
"The brute is probably our clubbing like she usually does when we have a break," Weiss said reading her texbook for Oobleck's class.
"I'd have to agree with Weiss here," Blake replied reading her book without her typical bow on revealing her cat ears, "We'll probably see her in a couple of days with a major hangover."
"Ok," Ruby said then took a drink of her glass of milk, "should we at least send her a message?"
"No," they both replied at the same time.
"Aright," Ruby said then went back to reading her comic.
-At Frank's ship-
"We shouldn't risk it," Lapis said, "The electrical storm could mess with the instruments meaning we will have no navigation meaning we'll get lost and run out of fuel."
"Also we could rest for the night," Zaria said then looked at Blaise, "I think most of us have had a long day." Blaise then turned around, grabbed a white rag then coughed up some blood making everyone concerned.
"Blaise are you alright?" Yang asked going over to Blaise.
"Yeah, yeah," Blaise told them wiping some blood off of his mouth, "My aura finally fully healed the damages to my internal organs and made me purge the blood that flowed into my stomach. Atlas is our safest chance."
"For most of us," Yang mumbled.
"Frank, take us to atlas," Eva told him over the microphone then the ship jerked left.
"Alright, just make sure the faunus guy, sorry kid I don't know your name, hides his ears or something," Frank told them as the ship increased its speed.
"Is something wrong?" Blaise asked then attempted to adjust his glasses but then realized their tragic fate.
"Faunus discrimination is more extreme on Atlas than on your island," Eva told him, "but it should be only in certain parts because there is a large faunus workforce there since the Schnee Dust Company employs them."
"Oh great," Blaise sarcastically said then pulled on his hood to cover his ears making Yang give a smug smile.
"Alright, Frank is fueling up the ship," Blaise said as he was cautiously looked around the streets of Atlas with his red eyes, "but the storm is moving towards Atlas so all fights are grounded meaning we have to stay at a hotel for the night. Frank wants to stay with the ship so we have to get our own arrangements. Any suggestions?"
"Uhhh, hotel," Lapis said pointing at a nearby hotel.
"Great plan," Blaise said then pushed Lapis ahead of him to hide him better towards the building.
"Blaise I seriously don't think this district is very discriminatory," Eva said as she followed behind.
"Guys there might be a problem here," Zaria said as she looked up the hotel on her scroll, "This is a very high class hotel that a room alone costs 500 lien for one night." Lapis and Zaria both looked at Eva.
"What? My Parents are rich. I only get a weekly allowance so I can get school supplies or food when I need it. And it sure as hell isn't 500 lien," she told them.
"Guys, don't worry I can cover us," Blaise said making everyone a little surprised.
"Where did you get lien?" Zaria asked him.
"I have money. I help out around Beacon and Ozpin pays me," Blaise explained as a half truth, he had been helping Ozpin with little errands after he met with Sedric and when he didn't have homework, and he got paid somewhat. His last job was to spy on Glynda in an attempt to find out where she went to get coffee, except Blaise found out she orders most of the coffee online. Although he did get some of his money that way, the most recent, and largest addition was from Cinder on the dust shipment job.
"Alright, so just one room and no room service," Lapis said as he pushed open the door to the hotel to be greeted by several strange looks.
To be honest they all looked strange. A bunch of teenagers walking into a high class hotel filled with business people in suits and their kids in the lobby. Lapis was wearing his blue armor with his battle axe on his back. Zaria was wearing her red leather jacket with her twin katanas on her back. Eva had on her outfit on with her spear in it's compact form. Yang was wearing her regular outfit with her gauntlets in bracelet form. Blaise was wearing his aviator trench coat with the hood Yang sewed on up, both his cutlasses on his belt, and glowing red eyes from under the hood.
"Excuse me," Blaise said approaching the front desk, "One room please."
"Uhh, are you able to pay for the room?" the clerk asked finding an available room, "It costs 526 lien."
"Yeah," Blaise said pulling out his wallet and slid his credit card through, "We're Beacon students." Then everyone in the lobby continued their original conversations. Then Eva realized that they must've been thinking that they were trying to rob the hotel.
"Here's the card to your room. It's room 326," the clerk said handing Blaise the room keys. "Also in the basement is a pool and rec room incase you want to spend time out of the room."
"Now I wanna go to the rec room," Blaise said rolling over onto his back.
"No Blaise, we need to stay in the room to protect your sorry butt," Lapis said flipping through another channel on the TV. "There's never anything good on cable."
"Which is why we need to go to the rec room. This is boring," Blaise complained then pulled his winter cap out of the inside of his jacket. "I am prepared."
"Blaise if we go to the rec room will you please stop complaining," Eva said rubbing her temples.
"Yeah."
"Well we don't all have to to the rec room," Yang said, "I could go down there with Blaise and if you guys want to stay here you can."
Zaria walked over to Yang, put her hands on her shoulders and said, "You are a lifesaver." She then let go of Yangs shoulders and fell over onto the bed.
"So what are we going to do?" Yang asked as she walked beside Blaise to the rec room. Before they left Lapis suggested that they change into somewhat normal clothes, so they each shed their coats leaving Blaise wearing multiple layers still and Yang wearing a slightly provocative T-shirt. Blaise, being the very great gentleman he was, took off his jacket and loaned it to her, after Eva jumped on his back and pulled his wolf ears. So Blaise ended up wearing his black winter cap, a grey T-shirt, his cargo pants, and boots, and Yang ended up wearing an orange scarf, Blaise's black athletic jacket, her yellow T-shirt, black short shorts, and her boots.
"Well let's see what we get when we get there," Blaise said as the elevator opened.
"I really hope there's ping pong," Yang said with a large smile.
"Why is that?" Blaise asked as they both entered the elevator then the door closed.
"When we were younger Ruby and I would always play ping pong for hours. A couple of times Summer had to come into our garage to get us for dinner after we played for most of the day," Yang explained chuckling at the memories.
"Summer?"
"Summer Rose was my stepmother, Ruby's mom," Yang said, "She was awesome, she was like supermom. She would always bake these delicious cookies for us whenever she wasn't out hunting, and at night she would often read fairy tales to Ruby and me. She was the main reason why Ruby wanted to become a huntress."
"What happened to her?" Blaise asked curious.
"She went on a hunt and never came back," Yang said sounding slightly sad. "But I did know her better than my birth mother." She then looked at Blaise. "So, did you find anything else about your family?"
"Well," Blaise said rocking on the soles of his feet, "Apparently the Campione family was once famous because they were a group of champions, which is what Campione means. They were humans until one of them married a wolf faunus, then the faunus branch became shunned. After the outbreak of some strange disease some years ago the human Campione branches died leaving the faunus side to inherit the family estate. My family lived there for a while until the anti faunus extremists decided to 'clean' their island via fire. My siblings and I got out of the fire, and that's where the trail goes cold, until last year. I had a brother named Lucius who was killed by Joseph Kidman, where I got my cutlasses. Joseph ended up dying when we captured Sedric. And the trail went cold again."
"And you found out most of this at your family house?"
"No," Blaise laughed, "I have other sources." The elevator dinged and the doors opened. Blaise chuckled to himself as he left the elevator with a confused Yang following behind him.
"Well Yang, looks like you got what you wanted," Blaise said motioning towards the ping pong table as he pulled out two paddles from the box next to the table.
"Yay!" she exclaimed as she pulled two paddles from the box making Blaise stop and look at the paddle he was about to give to her.
"Now where are the balls?" Blaise asked as he reached his end of the table. Then suddenly a light flickered on the ceiling creating a hologram ping pong ball on the table. "Alright, now we get into the rich factor of the hotel." He picked up the ball with two fingers then served the ball towards Yang who returned it surprisingly calmly. Blaise hit the ball back then she smacked it with enough force to make the hologram barely visible, bounce on the edge of Blaise's side then fly into the wall breaking the hologram.
"Jeez," Blaise said slightly shocked at what happened.
"Come on," Yang said then a hologram ball appeared on her side. "My serve." She then hit the ball with enough force to send the ball at breakneck speed towards blaise leaving him barely enough time to hit it back earning him a point.
"So this is how it's going to be," Blaise said then hit the ball with a large amount of force.
"Too easy," she replied returning the ball.
"Come on," he said hitting the ball back. By now the ball wasn't even hitting the table.
"So Yang," Blaise said as he hit Yang's return hit, "About what happened at the island."
"What part?"
"The part where you said, 'The same Blaise that I like,' that a spur of the moment thing, right?" Blaise asked returning a hit.
"No. I was completely honest," Yang said then prepared to return the hit, "I actually was going to confess when you got back, but that situation was more convenient."
"What?" Blaise asked then froze causing him to miss the ball making it hit the wall leaving a burn mark.
"My point." Yang then walked around the table. "In case you need me to spell it out for you," she then grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled his head closer to hers, then she kissed him on the lips for a couple seconds, "I like you Blaise Campione."
Yay, Blaise x Yang ship is setting sail. Now I couldn't do the joke I wanted to do in this chapter, so hopefully I can get it into the next one. I think I should have them return to Beacon. Now, you guys will have to bear with me for the romance stuff, because I specialize in writing action/fight scenes in my friend group, and they don't quite know I write fanfiction so I can't ask them for help, so the romance stuff will be good, cheesy, or just plain horrible.
I could also get some other ships going, like an OC x OC one.
I COULDN'T GET LUCIA INTO THIS CHAPTER! *ULTRA POUTING* I wanted to make some badass fight scene with her and her railgun shotgun. A RAILGUN shotgun. Anyway I hopefully will be able to put the things I missed into the next chapter.
Have a good night,
