Read on my friends.
"I wa- bu- trem- behit- what?" Blaise stuttered dumbfounded at what Yang had just told him.
"Relax Blaise," Yang said placing her arms on his shoulder instantly making him stop stuttering.
"Ok, ok," Blaise said recomposing himself. "So let me get this straight. You like me."
"Yes."
"Like 'wish to date' like,"
"Essentially."
"So you're asking me out?"
"It usually is the guy who does it, but yeah," she told him.
"And you're going about this nonchalantly?"
"Yeah, why would I be embarrassed?"
"Well…" Blaise then thought for a moment, "I actually can't think of a reason."
"Blaise look," Yang said then sat on the table in front of him, "I'm usually upfront about my feelings, like now, and I know you have a lot of crazy shit going on with trying to find your family. So I won't force you to date me, but now that you do know about my intentions I will expect an answer sometime."
"Yang, I can honestly say," Blaise said then looked at the door and saw movement from a man with red hair and bull horns, "there's something going on." He then walked towards the door trying to see if Adam was still around. "Go back to the room and tell them to roll my wrist blades and pistols in my coat then throw them out the window to the front sidewalk."
"Blaise, what's going on?" Yang asked him as he opened the door and turned left.
"Just do what I said and have everyone stay in the room. The storm is about to hit," Blaise said then disappeared around the corner.
After leaving the building Blaise found his jacket in a nearby bush and pulled it on just as the high winds from the storm came in. After attaching his wrist blades and placing his guns on his belt where his cutlasses usually should be he ran towards the direction he last saw Adam walk. Rounding a corner he quickly hugged the wall as he saw Adam around a corner farther ahead.
Just further ahead of him was a man wearing a white overcoat and had black hair with it going grey in on the sides. He was very much human which meant Adam was here for only one reason, an assassination.
Pulling his hood over his head Blaise rounded the corner and walked past Adam hoping that if there was someone in between him and the man Adam wouldn't attack. That would've been perfect if Adam actually cared about his public image.
Then the rain started as Adam ran past Blaise already pulling out his red sword. Blaise quickly reacted by running after him with his left wrist blade out and the other reaching for his pistol.
"You ahead, DUCK!" Blaise shouted just in time for the man to crouch over dodging the back end of Adam's sword making it fly ahead and bounce off of a lamp post. Trying to stab Adam with his aura cancelling blades Blaise threw his arm forward but missed. Adam then stopped in just enough time to try to kick Blaise, so just before his foot connected with Blaise's face Blaise drooped and slid on his knees. He then jumped off of his knees flipping as he planted his left hand on the ground and pulled out his pistol firing off some low charged rounds sending Blaise flying a couple of feet back landing right next to the man and Adam's sword.
Quickly throwing his gun into his left hand Blaise picked up the sword and charged back at the bull faunus getting ready to swing. Before he did Adam punched him in the chest and disarmed both of Blaise's weapons. Getting ready to strike at Blaise, Blaise activated the black aura around his hands to grow his claws. Going for an upward strike Blaise managed to cut open three claw wounds. Adam then kneed Blaise in the chest throwing him back and sheathed his sword and seemed to disappear in the rain.
"Are you alright?" Blaise asked the man in between breaths as he picked up his pistol and holstered it.
"I am fine, you should be more worried about yourself," the man said walking over to Blaise extending his hand. "My name is James Ironwood, and I believe you just saved my life."
"Blaise Campione," Blaise said as he started to extend his hand but then he realized he still had his claws out so without Ironwood noticing he activated the black aura turning his hand back to normal.
"So tell me Blaise. Do you have a permit for those guns?" Ironwood asked him making Blaise freeze and lose color.
"I- I- uh," Blaise stuttered then he mentally clapped his hands together realizing a loophole, "I'm a student from Beacon. We were heading back, but then the storm came up." He then raised his hand motioning towards the storm. As soon as his hand went up a sudden blast of heavy rain hit them both making Blaise glad he was wearing the waterproof hood.
"Well Blaise I'm sorry to cut this meeting short, but I have places to go, and I'd like to get out of the rain," Ironwood said covering his face then turned to continue down the path he was going before the fight happened.
Blaise turned around and went down the path he took to get there until someone grabbed him and pulled him into an empty alley. Adam looked him dead in the eye as he pulled out his sword and placed it against Blaise's throat.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Adam asked him in a pissed off tone.
"What? Saving people's lives?" Blaise replied.
"That was General James Ironwood, leader of the Atlesian military who is sending his newest troops into Vale for protection during the Vytal Tournament."
"And?"
"He is going to program all of the faces of each known White Fang member, or anyone who might be affiliated with the White Fang into the soldiers. And when the new soldiers load up the information they will arrest anyone on their list to be brought up to him in person."
"And how does this affect me?"
"Sedric Campione," Adam said resting the edge of the blade on Blaise's neck, "I did my homework Blaise. When the newest soldiers get going, if they see you, they will arrest you, question you. Now tell me how that doesn't apply to you?"
"What do you know about Sedric?" Blaise asked focusing his aura to his fingers to protect them as he pushed the blade away from his neck.
"All I know is that he went off the grid a couple months back."
"And do you have any information on Lucia?"
"Who?"
"Wait, you don't know Lucia? And you said that the soldiers will only take people associated with the White Fang? And I take it you just learned my last name and connected the dots." Blaise said then Adam nodded. Blaise laughed. "I really feel bad for you then, because if Ozpin doesn't know Sedric's last name just from White Fang rumor, then Ironwood doesn't know my affiliation with the WF. So if you want to attempt to intimidate me," Blaise said then grabbed Adam's sword by the blade then threw it without cutting his hand, "I'd suggest you get a sharper blade. And tell no one that you saw me here or I will go to your little hide out and do more damage to you than just these." He then jabbed three fingers into each of Adam's wounds causing him pain. He then took his bloodied fingers and licked the blood. "You know, on the food chain, the wolf is higher up than the cow. Now I have some other business to take care of." Blaise then walked out of the alley and continued back on the path back to the hotel.
"And where were you?" Lapis asked as Blaise opened the door to the room and walked in.
"I investigated a possible lead," Blaise said as he took off his coat and placed it on a coat rack everyone swore wasn't there a minute ago. "I came up empty handed and waterlogged." He then picked up his backpack he still hadn't used since leaving Beacon and went into the bathroom to change.
"So what exactly happened Yang?" Eva asked turning to her.
"Well we were talking then Blaise got distracted then left," Yang explained sitting on the bed.
"What was the basis of your conversation?"
"None of your business." Yang then glared at her with red eyes.
"Alright alright," Eva said getting the hint.
"Actually Yang can I talk with you for a second alone?" Blaise asked exiting the bathroom drying his hair with a towel. "It's pretty important." She looked at him and nodded. He exited the room and she followed closing the door.
Lapis, Zaria, and Eva, all being respectful people who acknowledge when other people wanted privacy did the only thing they could've thought of, and all pressed their ears against the door.
"So…" Blaise said leaning on the wall then he slid down to the floor holding his head down.
"So, what?" Yang asked sitting down across from him.
"You know, I've been thinking about what you said. And here's what I think." He looked straight up and took a deep breath. "Ever since the initiation I've had amnesia, so to cover that up I had to learn how to act. Now sometimes I don't even notice, but I feel like I'm becoming a different person. The Blaise everybody knows wouldn't harm anyone unless it is a sparring accident, but at times I turn into someone who just doesn't care. I've killed people, many people, all since initiation, all when I'm not around anyone from Beacon. And all of those times I felt like I wasn't Blaise, something worse. But," he looked at her seeing she was intently listening, he closed his eyes, "there's one thing that's kept me sane, a rock, so to speak. You seem to be that rock because I think that if anyone else was there on that island when I lost it I probably would've killed them without mercy. Now I know you like me, and I've also been thinking over the last month or so about asking you out, kinda right after I got back from Xais Cay. I'm willing to try us if you are too, but remember I may not be the man you fell in love with, but I am the man who fell in love with you."
On the other side of the door the three stooges couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"Did I just hear him right?" Zaria asked whispering to the others.
"Yeah," Eva whispered back, "Now shut up or we'll miss what they'll say next." Then a loud thump was heard.
"I don't think we need to know what they said next," Lapis stated as he left the door and headed to the bed, "Now I suggest we get away from the door before they get back in the roo-"
"I heard that," Blaise said from outside the door, "Faunus hearing remember. Now Yang can you please get off of me."
"No," Yang replied.
"Frank, how much longer?" Eva asked over the microphone.
"Soon, jeez. You kids are the only ones I know that want to go back to school," Frank replied.
"I really don't want to get back to school," Yang said scratching the base of Blaise's wolf ears making him twitch them trying to make her hand go away, "I just want to tell Ruby the news."
"I'm pretty sure you won't even need to tell her," Blaise said swatting her hand away with his, "All she would have to do is see this for a second and connect the dots."
"I want to pet you," Yang complained as she tried to scratch his ears only for him to restrain her hands.
"Hey, hey, hey, WOLF faunus, not DOG faunus," Blaise said then Yang laughed and threw him to the floor making him let go of her hands allowing her to scratch his ears again. "Quit scratching my ears."
"No," Yang smiled then leaned in and planted a kiss on his cheek causing Blaise to smile and the other three to groan.
"Could you guys not do that so close to us?" Lapis asked then went back to cleaning his armor.
"What? Is it making you three uncomfortable?" Blaise asked attempting to roll over to get Yang off of him.
"Yes!" the three said in unison.
"Well, deal with it," Blaise smiled then kissed Yang back causing the three to groan in unison again.
"Gah, get a room," Lapis said as he covered his eyes, "I really don't want to bleach my eyes."
"Lapis," Yang said standing up off of Blaise allowing him to stand up and Lapis unshielded his eyes. "You're going to need a lot of bleach." She spun around and mashed her lips against Blaise's making all three of the singles yell in shock.
"Alright, alright," Frank said over the intercom as he started to descend, "we're here. Now stop complaining."
"Hey guys," Ruby greeted team BLZE and Yang as their ship lifted off of the airship dock. "You're back."
"Ruby!" Yang exclaimed as she jump hugged her little sister throwing her to the ground.
"Uncle, uncle, uncle," Ruby barely said patting the ground, "Yang get off, I can't breathe."
"I feel your pain," Blaise said as he walked over to Yang and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Blaise, you're back," Jaune said walking over to the group with the rest of his team, "And, your eyes are red." He turned to his team. "Should we be worried?"
"Hey guys," Blaise greeted JNPR, "I'm back, and yes my eyes are red."
"And another thing," Yang said.
"Oh no," LZE said starting to cover their eyes.
Yang was moving in for a kiss, everyone was staring wide eyed, even Weiss and Ren. Before their lips connected Blaise's scroll ringed making Blaise move his head to check his scroll.
Opening the scroll Blaise saw it was a video call from Ozpin.
"A wizard arrives precisely when he means to," Lapis said then LZE stretched out a thumbs up to the clocktower.
"Blaise, I saw your arrival," Ozpin said over the scroll. "I have something of utmost importance to speak with you about."
"Gotcha," Blaise said then started to walk towards the office, "I'll be there in five." He closed his scroll then stopped. Turning around he walked over to Yang, placed one hand on the back of her waist. Planting a firm his on her lips he leaned in making the kiss deeper. Pulling Yang back up he gave her a wink before turning back around and headed towards the office.
The whole group was silent for several moments until everyone heard a loud thump. "MY EYES!" Lapis shouted clawing at his eyes.
"Hello," Blaise greeted as he opened the door to the headmaster's office to see Ozpin sitting in his chair with Professors Oobleck, Port, and Goodwitch behind him. "Is something wrong?" Ozpin gestured to the chair in front of the desk quickly remembering every illegal thing he's done since coming to Beacon, which was a really long list.
Sitting in the seat."You have red eyes," Ozpin noted looking Blaise in the eyes.
"Is that really a big shocker?" Blaise asked.
Ozpin lowered his mug and placed it on the table. "Sedric escaped," Ozpin said then pulled some security video still shots showing a wolf faunus girl with platinum hair getting into the detention center, "With the help of his sister known as 'New Moon.'" He pulled some security footage from the docks of him as Wolfgang. "We have reason to suspect that this is his brother Wolfgang Costantino who goes by the name 'Blood Moon.'"
"Alright professors, but what does this have to do with me?" Blaise asked as he picked up the pictures.
"We want to send you into the field to investigate," Glynda explained, "You're the only person who managed to bring Sedric in on the first place."
"We will however not send you in today," Oobleck continued, "We will need to do further investigation on this subject so we don't send you to the other side of Remnant."
"We do have reason to believe they are with the White Fang," Port continued before Oobleck started to talk faster than he was, "There has been rumor among our spies about a group of assassins calling themselves 'The Phases of the Moon,' working alongside the White Fang."
"So this mission will be significantly different from normal missions," Ozpin said taking command of the conversation. "This will be a mission only you can do alone since all of the faunus here at Beacon are either ex-White Fang or from a semi-popular team where they're known. When this mission has enough information to back up our theories, will you participate in the mission?"
"Well Ozpin," Blaise said leaning back in his chair, "This to any other faunus would sound stereotypical, but you're lucky I hate Sedric." Blaise smiled.
Alright done. *Clap* We can end the cliche romance stuff.
Blaise: Finally. *sigh*
Yang: Hey!
Blaise: Come on it was getting awkward near the end and you know it.
Yang: Yeah, you do have a point.
Adam: Does anyone have any antiseptic cream?
Blake: What were you even doing in Atlas anyway?
Adam: I was sent there to kill Ironwood.
Blake: Why were you really there?
Adam: To get Blaise out of an awkward situation.
*Epic Blaise + Adam Fistbump!*
Adam and Blaise: NINJA ASSASSIN!
J. Van A: You guys do realize you're going to go back to hating each other after the end of this omake.
Blaise: So?
Adam: We're still awesome.
Blake: Then go get a room.
*Blaise and Adam glance at each other and Blake facepalmed*
J. Van A: Anyway, we're done with this little Omake before I decide to make Ninja Assassin a real thing. The next chapter will be a completely different thing not tying in with the BLZEing Remnant universe, basically it will be a Valentine's Joke special, including many pairings and a quick story. The last one I already have planned out in my head and it is hilarious. Anyway, I might be a little late on the special being posted since I have stated before that I am terrible at writing romance (refer to this chapter). So brace yourselves, because the next chapter will either be awesome, or a total piece of crap.
