I am so sorry!

I was grounded from my computer for a while and now that I've gotten it back, I re-read what I had of this and I didn't like it. One bit. So this is... what? My fourth time rewriting this?

That sounds about right... so anywhoo please forgive me and my negligence. You wanna hear why I got my computer plus all my other devises taken up? Drum roll please.

Also! Guess what our choir did? We went to Disney World! we auditioned back in... May? So yea we were accepted and thus we got to sing in the 2014 Candlelight Processional! it was soooooo cool! Neil Patrick Harris was the guest narrator and during one song we held eye contact and he smiled at me! KYAA!

Another reason I didn't get the chance to update was because my computer back so the day I got it back, which was today, I finished this chapter up and now I'm posting it.

Sorry... I'm ranting.. onward...

A sound soul

Dwells within a sound mind

And a sound body

"Natsu!" Lucy shouted, fear cutting through her words. He wasn't moving. Why wasn't he moving? Lucy got up and ran at full speed to him, dropping on her knees the moment she was within touching distance. She grabbed his head in her hands and placed him in her lab, smoothing back his hair as she was doing it.

"Lu...cy..." She heard Natsu's voice strain. She could have kissed him when she heard him talk.

"Hush, you ne-"

"I can...still...fight..." he said, slowly-but-surely getting up. Lucy wanted to hit and yell at him. But she knew they had to take care of the person- people- that did this.

Strange connection or not, Michelle was going down.

Without needing to be told, Lucy transformed and landed in her meisters hand. As if a burst of power hit him, he ran towards Michelle, said girl charging right back at him. Michelle jumped into the air, bringing her leg up on the way down. Natsu dodged just before she landed, a crater in his place.

Natsu swung Lucy at Michelle's head but missed due to her moving out of the way just in time. But, Natsu noticed, she didn't go completely unscathed. The slim cut on her forehead and pieces of hair proved that much.

"Lucy," said girl looked at her meister, "I have an idea but you may not like it. Michelle's crazy with madness right? Well what if, somehow, I temporarily have madness? Then we could beat her, right?" Natsu asked.

"Are you fucking insane!?" Natsu flinched, "do you have any idea how hard it is to control the madness? Do you!? Even if it does work, we have no idea if you'll come back! I have it in my blood stream. Your talking about swimming fucking laps in it," Lucy shouted.

"I said you may not like it but, really, what other options do we have?" he asked her. None really, Lucy knew. She wanted there to be another way but she knew there wasn't. The main question on the whole plan was how.

How would this even work? She supposed she could try to summon that beast of a troll but would it work if she, somehow, unconsciously dragged Natsu into it with her? Before she could answer, it was already to late.

Long time no see, eh?

So I take it you know what Natsu want's to do?

No response. Lucy took it as a yes when she heard the little newt laughing.

"This is gunna suck. Natsu, you ready?" Lucy asked.

"Yea."

Lucy closed her eyes and before she knew it, she was in the black room.

"Zeref! Where are you you little troll!" Lucy yelled out. She circled the room, but he wasn't there.

"Stop with the troll business. It's offensive. Why can't you call me an ogre like normal people do?" he asked to himself. Lucy quickly turned around and found him on the piano bench. "Play me something," he demanded.

Lucy rolled her eyes but went over anyways. She sat down on the bench and opened the piano up. Not knowing exactly what to play, she just played an upbeat little tune that sounded like it came from the Midwest. Lucy remembered it being called Midwest Train or something like that.

"This piano isn't the ideal vessel for that type of music. Why not another choice?" the troll suggested. Sighing, Lucy consented. Ending Midwest Train, she then started Beethoven's 5th.

"Much better," Zeref nearly moaned in acceptance. Lucy was amazed at even herself. She hasn't played in so long. She almost thought she had forgotten how to play. She could see the notes before her fingers touched the keys.

A symphony indeed.

The music flowed out of her, true enough when her body started moving with the intensity of the piece, her eyes closed. She hasn't felt this peaceful since she was in her mothers lap, learning how to play. When a dramatic measure came up, she let it die down and merged into another piece. The very first one her mother taught her to play.

Moonlight Sonata.

She was in bliss. A tearful, bliss. She could just see it. Her and her mother on the bench, playing. Little her messing up and her mother laughing before she showed her the correction.

She didn't even feel Natsu's presence behind her when he showed up. Natsu placed a hand on her shoulder and she abruptly stopped. Lucy turned around, surprised.

"How..." Lucy trailed off. How was he here, she wanted to ask. But the words wouldn't come out. He had taken her by surprise. If she had known that he would hear her, she never would've played. Never would've showed him her vulnerable state.

"I have no idea," he answered, seeming to get what she meant.

"I brought him," Zeref showed up.

"Zeref?" she asked.

"Your the little troll Lucy talked about!?" Natsu interrupted. A tick mark showed on said trolls face.

"What is it with you people calling me a troll?! Anyways, now that Natsu is here, we can start business," Zeref said, his pointy teeth showing in an evil grin.

"And how, exactly, will this work?" Lucy asked, suddenly annoyed.

"Natsu's unconscious will stay here while his body is out there, consumed by madness. He has to hurry up though, so he doesn't get consumed completely. If that happens, he'll end up like Michelle. And, eventually, you," he said, proud arrogance clear in his voice. Almost as if he's somehow accomplished something.

Lucy didn't like the plan, that much was clear. Even to someone as slow as Natsu.

"I trust Lucy to pull me out if need be. And even so, I will succeed. We need all the advantages we need to defeat Michelle," Natsu said, straightening his tux jacket- a jacket Lucy failed to notice when he first walked in. He was wearing black dress shoes and a black tux with a silk, blood red undershirt and a black tie.

"Then let's do this," Lucy said, walking to the velvet curtain on the other side of the piano. Opening the two folds and walking through, she softly said, "Let the show begin."

And then they closed.

The trigger was getting closer to firing.

"Juvia!" Gray yelled. Then, before he killed himself, Juvia transformed back. When she did, she landed in front of Gray, her index finger the barrel and her thumb the trigger. The aimed and shot at Mary, who dodged just before the bullet hit her neck.

"Whoa dude that was like, totes close," Mary said, sweat dropping a little. Without warning, Juvia started firing at Mary's feet, making her jump and move out of the way.

"Why are you aiming for her feet?" Gray asked.

"If Juvia hits her feet, then she can't walk. And if Mary can't walk, then that would make this whole ordeal quicker," she replied, matter-of-fact.

"You know what? You can be pretty scary if you wanna be," Gray said, sweat dropping. Juvia blushed at the comment, obviously taking it the wrong way.

"Juvia is surprised, Gray-sama. If Gray-sama prefers this side of Juvia then..." she trailed off. She started blushing more and, if possible, Gray almost thought he saw steam coming from her ears. He could only imagine the thoughts she had in her head.

"JUVIA! NO!" he said, blushing in response. Damn that woman! "Juvia, let's talk after we take care of Mary. After that we'll discuss... this," he said in near defeat. If he wanted to get this fight over with, he would say whatever at this point.

Juvia immediately turned both her hands into guns and started shooting at Mary at rapid fire. She in turn ran but to no avail. Bullets were hot at her heels. Gray ran up to Juvia as she transformed.

"Let's go, SOUL RESONANCE," they both yelled out. Gray lifted the now Canon-formed Juvia on his shoulder. He homed in on Mary through the fantastic sniper sight he has on the side. When he had a positive aim at her, he fired.

"You missed dude!" Mary yelled mockingly.

"Did I?" he smirked. Right then, a stone pillar that the cannon ball hit started crumbling and falling towards Mary. She shrieked at jumped out of the way just in time. But that really didn't matter when the debris caused a hole in the floor that she fell in.

Gray ran to the hole and looked in, readying Juvia in case she decided to attack. A tick mark appeared on his head. "Shit," he hissed. He didn't know there was a room under here. When she fell in, she must have ran. Juvia transformed back as Gray jumped in.

"Let's go Juvia! We can't let her get away," Gray said.

"Yes, Gray-sama!" she responded. Not knowing which way Mary went, they decided to try their luck.

Left it was.

The more they ran, the more Gray and Juvia thought they had ran down the wrong side.

"Let's look in here then we'll turn around," Gray said. It was the only door they had come across in the five minutes they had been running. The oak doors were at least ten feet tall with delicate designs running throughout the structure. Gray thought it was a different colored wood but the closer he looked, he realized it was gold.

"Why do you think the doors are decorated the way it is?" Juvia asked.

"Guess we'll find out when we open them," he responded. He took one side, Juvia the other, and pushed. When they walked in, to say they were surprised was an understatement.

The room was nearly pitch black with the exception of the other side of the room, which looked as if it went on forever. Several souls were swimming around a figure, giving the room an eerie green glow.

"Who's that?" Juvia asked, sounding scared.

"No idea," Gray responded. If he wanted to know the answer to that, that would mean walking closer. And that was something he did not want to do. Despite being scared himself, a feeling he has never experienced this strongly before, he walked forward, Mary long forgotten.

It was as if the air became thicker the closer he got. So thick he could barely breath. It took Juvia holding onto his arm for him to realize he had been shaking. His skin felt cold and clammy. But still he walked on. Gray had to find out who was in here. Who was emitting this feeling of evil and death and madness.

Why has it been feeling like they had been walking for hours? He looked back and was surprised to see he and Juvia were only a few feet from the entrance. He looked forward and started walking faster. He was grateful for having Juvia next to him. She kept him grounded and was a constant reminder that this was real, not an hallucination.

Now that they were semi-closer to the figure, they had a clear view of his face. Gray was having a hard time staying up. The souls were going in a spiral around him, creating a some-what mini tornado. It felt like he was breathing underwater and had a thousand pound weight on his shoulders.

The man was chained against a stone cross. His hair as black as night. He had black torn up pants on and nothing else. No shirt. No shoes. The souls were entering him then coming back out. Then he opened his eyes.

A chill crept over Gray. His eyes were as red as blood and had pure evil in them. He stared shaking.

"Gray-sama.." Juvia said. He looked at her. She looked the same way he probably did.

"Juvia... RUN!" he yelled. She didn't have to be told twice. They both ran into a full on sprint. Just before their fingers touched the doors, they were pulled back and the doors were slammed shut.

"N-no way..." Erza stuttered. He could even soul resonate? How was that even possible without a partner? She looked at Jellal and saw his expression. He was as shocked as her.

"Ready or not, here I came," Velveno said, laughing. He charged at Erza, his weapon extending a good few feet along the way. He swung the mock sword and would have caught Erza's neck had she not jumped back, her own weapon extending further.

Erza clutched Jellal with a tight grip. There was no way in hell she would be beaten by her own weapon. She charged at Velveno, Jellal extending even further, she swiped at Velveno her blade meeting his.

That was when she noticed it.

Her blade was by far longer than his. Maybe he couldn't copy her and Jellal's abilities to a tee. She smirked. She had a plan. She jumped back and extended Jellal more, Velveno's eyes widening slightly. She ran forward and swung, her blade meeting with his once again but used the length of hers to her advantage.

She angled Jellal to the side, throwing Velvno off and jabbed forward, nicking his side, but only slightly due to his speedy reflexes.

"Your good, girlie. But, unfortunately, I'm better," he said, his grin morphing into an animalistic grin.

"W-What?" she stuttered. She retracted Jellal back and angled him to where he could see. They were both shocked, that was for sure. His teeth elongated and his body grew in body mass. Black and silver fur began spouting from his skin and claws broke through his shoes and elongated on his hands.

"A... werewolf?" Jellal asked, stunned by what he saw. Velveno's wolfish grin widened, showing his sharp, glistening teeth.

"That's right," he said, his voice gruff. Erza noticed his wound starting to heal, but not fully. How were they supposed to take down a werewolf? She didn't want to kill him, only knock him unconscious. She guessed she would just have to tire him out. Until she striked a blow that knocked him out.

Not letting his new form intimidate her, she charged once more. His copy of Jellal was gone, which gave her a slight advantage. She extended Jellal once more, but not to much. She didn't want to risk him being broken by Velveno's inhuman strength.

She jumped and swung Jellal down, Velveno dashing out of the way with speed so great she didn't even see him move. He ended up behind her, punching her to the ground, creating a crater. Struggling, she stood, the soul resonance out of play.

"Erza," Jellal said.

"I'm fine," she responded. Her back hurt like a mother but she was alive. And angry. With blossoming determination, she charged once again. And once again, she dashed out of the way, his after image being nothing but a blur. But now she new this tactic, and wouldn't fall for it again.

Spinning around, she met him face-to-face and stabbed at him, catching him in his wound. He howled out at his re-opened gash and jumped back, his golden eyes piercing through Erza in a hunger daze. He growled and sped forward, catching Erza off guard.

He brought his claw up, preparing to slash at Erza, she brought Jellal and met his hand. Before meeting him, she angled Jellal up and met his hand with the edge. The blade cut through his claw, disembodying a couple of fingers.

Velveno howled in pain and anger, his golden eyes burning with rage. He brought his other claw up and connected it to Erza's side, flinging her aside like a rag doll. Erza's grip on Jellal loosened as she skidded across the floor.

"ERZA!" Jellal shouted. He transformed back and ran to his meister. On shaky hands, Erza brought herself up.

"I'm fine," she said, grabbing Jellal's hand. With out another word, he transformed back. Erza spit blood out onto the floor and stood up tall. She glared at Velveno and charged.

Gildarts and Mira easily dodged Angel's snakes, much to Angel's chagrin. Angel ran up to Mira and brought her leg up, preparing to deal a harsh blow. Mira moved to the side and caught her foot, flinging her away as if she were a sack of potatoes.

"Bitch," Angel hissed. Mira did nothing but smile sweetly.

"What do you say? Should we go ahead and end this?" Gildarts asked.

"I guess. I was so hoping she would be much more of a challenge," Mira sighed. She and Gildarts looked over at Angel, seeing her fuming with anger.

Before Angel moved, Mira transformed.

Angel had never seen Mira trasform-ever. And right now, she was terrified. Well, intimidated was the better term.

When Mira was in the process of transforming, Angel felt nothing but pure darkness emitting from her. When she was in Gildart's hands, she saw a pure black scythe, nearly as black as the darkest pits of hell. Gildarts grinned when he saw Angels expression.

"What is she?" Angel demanded.

"A demon scythe.," he started, "She is the most strongest and powerful weapon at our academy and quite possible the world," he finished.

"It really is quite amazing that you can wield her, that must make you equally powerful right?" Angel asked.

"Eh," he shrugged.

"Well, I guess we'll see who comes out of this the victor," Angel said.

"I guess we will," Guildarts agreed. As soon as he finished talking, they both charged. Angel used her magic to maneuver her snakes into weapons. Crossing both snakes, she caught Mira in the middle.

Angel and Gildarts grinned. This was gunna be fun.
