Hello, I just finished the newest chapter as you can probably tell by reading this. Anyway, prepare for some background story, some drama, and some comedy.

Enjoy.

'You're serious?' Blaise asked over the scroll to Eva.

"Yeah. Why else would I bring it up?" Eva asked. "You know you can come down from the top of the Revenant Wind anytime now."

'I actually like it up here, the wind in my hair and ears feels nice," he told her then the distinct sound of his railguns charging could be heard.

"Blaise, I'm pretty sure the wraith isn't coming after our ship."

'I'm not up here waiting for the wraith, I'm just doing some maintenance on the pistols, they aren't supposed to be fired off more than once on the highest charge in a row.'

"Blaise, I'm sure they're fine. The ride is going to take roughly an hour and the Mistral winds can be -30 degrees at night. You should seriously come in."

'I said I'm fine, anyway, when we land I have something I should probably give you.'

"Fine, fine, stay up there, if you get a cold I'm not helping you out, be safe," she told him then closed her scroll ending the call.

"Yeah, I'll try," Blaise said putting his scroll back into his inside coat pocket. "What the hell was that?" he asked as he looked at his railgun cutlass, "Grimm should never be able to use swords, much less be able to disarm them."

Something else that bothered Blaise was the fact they just stared at him for a couple seconds before they decided to attack. Why did they do that. What it appeared was that the professional hunter in the room was killed within a split second.

In an attempt to distract himself he pulled out the hunter's wallet and looked at the picture in it. "I wonder how short she was growing up? She probably stopped growing shortly after she went to her father's home." Then his eyes drifted over his railgun pistol.

Picking it up his grip on the handle was so tight that his knuckles turned white. Aiming the pistol at a faraway nevermore he tried to get a lock on the bird, but every time he was about to pull the trigger he lowered his gun.

"Why can't I shoot?" Blaise asked himself as he holstered his pistol and layed down on his back then he placed his arm over his eyes. "This never happens. It's not supposed to happen. I've killed many people and grimm without it affecting me, I even had no problem using the cutlasses after Joseph had me kill him. So why is this making me quiver? This is making no sense." He stood up and stared out over the forest and grabbed a tail fin. "If I can't protect myself, how can I even hope to protect my team?"

"What have you been thinking about, Lapis?" Zaria asked as she jumped over the back of the couch landing next to the blue berserker.

"It's just, back there when Blaise was going into the main office, I saw the claw marks on the wall with blood dripping down from it. I realised, even though he could see the hallway just fine he continued down it by himself, and I could never do anything like that," Lapis explained as he looked into the cuirass he was cleaning.

"Lapis, Blaise has the darkest past out of all of us. He's more accustomed to blood and gore than any of us. Even me," she said then sighed as she leaned back in her spot, "Before I came to Beacon my family did some pretty shady things, and I had to help out when they got into a tight mess. On multiple occasions when my father had me help him out on some deals they went south and I had to protect him, which meant I had to kill on many occasions."

"You killed people?" Lapis asked dumbfounded.

"Yes, and I need you to keep it quiet," Zaria told him then smiled, "Just between us."

"Alright," Lapis said then Zaria got off the couch and left Lapis to his armor. After she left the room Lapis ran his hands through his hair and sighed. "So is Eva the only one on this team who hasn't taken a life?"

"So is Blaise still refusing to come down from the roof?" Zaria asked Eva as she walked into the break room to get a drink.

"Yeah, he says he enjoys the wind," Eva said then looked at the clock. "It's only been half an hour since we left the facility yet it feels like forever."

"Well, I guess we can add this to the long list of crazy things team BLZE has done," Zaria remarked sitting across from Eva with her drink in hand.

"I think it's more along the lines of crazy things Blaise has done," she remarked, "but I guess we're kinda stuck with him to the end."

"Yeah well, he does have many secrets that none of us know about, and hopefully they won't blow up in his face," Zaria said opening the drink and taking a sip.

"And that is what bothers me the most. He acts like nothing from his past matters, yet when he goes and finds his past he nearly kills an island's population."

"In his defense, they were trying to kill him first."

"That doesn't change the fact he killed those people. He just did it like it was second nature. I mean, when we rescued him he just acted like he normally would ignoring the fact that blood was dripping off of his hands. At Atlas he went out and came back bruised and he never explained what happened. I just don't know if I can feel safe around him anymore."

"Eva, he may have a dark past, but that is gone. He's the same stupid idiot who forgets to shave and you occasionally drop kick. You've only begun to think of him differently after he said he's killed people. You probably see me as some innocent little child but," Zaria said then took another drink making sure she had Eva's attention, "I've done many things in the past that a normal person would never dream about doing, and the way I cope with what I've done, or with what other's have done as a matter of fact, is to just not think about it. That is how I maintain the normal teenager act, because sometimes it isn't one. I honestly trust Blaise with my life, and knowing what he's done isn't going to change that."

"You'd just blindly follow him? Even if you knew what he's done, and what he's capable of doing?"

"I don't blindly follow him, I trust him. Not to mention it doesn't matter what he's done, people can change, and what he's capable of doing is why I trust him to have my back," she explained then downed the rest of the drink. "Now is there some things I should know about going to your house? Like 'must wear formal clothes at all times' or 'no climbing over things to practice stealth.' Anything like that?"

"No, no, no," Eva laughed, "My family isn't like those rich snobby people who always wears suits and ties, they look like normal people, wear normal clothes, and the only difference between my family and normal people is that they live in a big mansion near the main research facility where they and some of the staff lives in."

"The staff lives in your house?"

"Yeah, mostly it's the weapons scientists working there, some of the electrical and engineering, and a lot of the IT guys. Basically they live there because their homes before working there was too far away, so they and their families could live there just as long as they get to work on time, help out around the house, and include my dad in their D&D games," Eva explained chuckling at the last part.

"So it's a house full of nerds."

"Basically, before I left for Beacon the guys and I finished our game of D&D where I beat the dragon overlord, they let me win."

"They sound like a cool group of guys."

"Pfft, no," Eva laughed, "They do have their strong points, but other than that they are social hermits. Except for the ones who have families. Like Anthony, a dog faunus, who has a wife and three kids, all girls, or Tammy who has a fiance. One of the newest ones before I left was Orlando, a faunus again, moved in with his fiance, he was a cool guy who was an expert on dust and was nicknamed Merlin, he developed these boots that used a combination of dust to give the user a shift in their personal gravity."

"Gravity boots?" Zaria asked getting interested.

"Basically, they use a black colored dust combination cartridge on the boots and wherever the person were to walk they would walk with ease, which helped in large scale projects," Eva explained then pulled out her pouch with her tinkerings and pulled out the shorter spartan falcata that she's been working on and the small mechanisms she was working on adding to the sword.

"So about how much longer until we reach there?"

"A couple of minutes, and prepare yourself," Eva warned.

"For what?"

"My dad." Eva shuddered at the thought.

"So this is your house," Lapis said awestruck. The mansion was the biggest place he had ever seen, just behind Beacon. The house was five stories tall and was roughly two football fields wide and surrounded a courtyard roughly wider than a football field.

"Yeah," Eva replied darting her eyes around the house trying to spot her father before he jumped her.

"Well this is interesting," Blaise said jumping down from the top of the airship. "The house itself is a bit bigger than the Campione estate."

Zaria turned around and looked at Blaise. "Nice look, Jack Frost."

"Wait, what?" Blaise pulled out his scroll and turned on the front camera to look himself over. During the flight small icicles formed all over on his beard and randomly over his blown back hair and gave his wolf ears an icy point. "You have got to be kidding. My look was perfect and now I'm going to smell like wet dog when this melts."

"Well you can probably take a shower when we get insi-" Eva was saying until he heard footsteps from behind her.

"Eva!"

"Oh, shit!" Eva shouted as she was picked up from behind in a hug by a tall man wearing a white lab coat, lounge clothes, thick rimmed glasses, and had light green hair that was slightly greying on the side.

"You came to visit!" he exclaimed.

"Put me down you crazy old bastard!" Eva shouted as she flailed in his hug then managed to kick him the gut making him let go of her.

"Eva, why must you hurt me this way?" the man pouted as he fell to his knees.

"Dad, I didn't mean it that way," Eva said placing her hand on his shoulder, then he looked up with a gigantic smile on his face.

"You're so adorable!" he exclaimed as he brought her into another hug picking her off the ground causing her to flail.

"Don't just stand there, help me!" Eva demanded then looked at her teammates. "Quit filming this and get this bastard off of me!"

"Nope," Blaise said having his scroll zoom in on the scene in front of him.

"You're an asshole!" Eva shouted then kicked her dad in the stomach making him let go of her. Then she jumped at Blaise and axe kicked him into the ground.

"Hit the nail right on the head," Blaise mumbled as he spat dirt out of his mouth causing his team to groan at the horrible pun.

"She's really rubbing off on ya, isn't she?" Lapis asked helping Blaise out of the small crater then Blaise pressed the icicles on his face to see that they were still intact, much to his disappointment.

"Yeah, she kinda is," Blaise said then Eva quickly jumped up and landed on Lapis' shoulders just out of reach of her father.

"So," the man said straightening his lab coat and dusting it off changing his whole demeanor to a professional one, "You're my daughter's team members."

"Uhh yeah," Blaise said extending his hand which the man shook, "I'm the team leader-"

"Jack Frost?" he asked chuckling it his little joke.

"No, Blaise Campione." Blaise then tried to pry some of the ice off not succeeding. "In case you didn't notice Eva drop kicks me almost every day."

"Do you call her short?'

"Yeah."

"Well she is kinda small," he said then had his face thrown into the ground by one of Eva's kicks. "And sensitive about her height," he mumbled through the dirt. Then he stood up and rubbed the dirt off of his face. "Linus Manos, the gremlin's father," he said then spun out of the way of Eva's kick making her create a giant crater where Linus previously stood.

"Eva!" a feminine voice shouted as Eva turned to face it then was hugged by a shorter girl with loose green hair wearing pajamas.

"Helena?" Eva asked smiling. "You've grown since I last saw you, just a little bit though."

"Not surprising," Blaise said then he and Linus chuckled in the back only to receive a glare from Eva.

"What are you doing up? Isn't it past your bedtime?" Eva asked her sister.

"Dad said you were coming home so I begged to stay up," Helena explained.

"So, now you've met my family," Eva said looking at her team, "Now you should meet the rest of them.

Well that was interesting. Next chapter may make you think, depending on if I drop the bombshell on you.

Hopefully in the next chapter we will have a lot of comedic material.

I'm tired, good night,
