Well, new chapter. Near the end it was a little rushed because I have several tests to study for, and after the second A/N I'll be going back to my room to study since college chem with my teacher is hell on earth from the difficulty. I tried to change the difficulty, but I couldn't find the menu button. (Heh)
Anyway, enjoy
"Gahhhh!" Lucia shouted in frustration as she slammed her fists on the desk in Roman's guest room after she couldn't find another way into Beacon through the schematics.
"So do you need anything?" Roman asked peeking his head into the doorway without his hat on so she wouldn't try shooting it for the fifth time this week. "You know, a newspaper, food, or something.
"Fuck off, Roman," Lucia replied throwing her head onto the desk.
"Someone isn't too friendly," Roman said. "So why are you trying to get to Blaise, New Moon?"
"Personal business."
"Well, if you're trying to sneak into Beacon you could probably sneak in there with some of our people who acquired some Haven uniforms," Roman suggested making Lucia slowly rise her head and even with her sunglasses on he could tell she was glaring at him.
"I'll kill you later, because I need to know where these uniforms are."
"So what did we miss yesterday?" Blaise asked RWBY as BLZE was following them and JNPR to class.
"Nothing much," Jaune replied, "Port had a lecture, Oobleck had a pop quiz, and Goodwitch had us spar with a couple of the Vacuo kids when they arrived. Ruby nearly jumped onto the arena to get a closer look at their weapons."
"Did not," Ruby defended herself.
"What do you call me grabbing you by the cloak while you were in mid-air and almost threw you back into the seat?" Yang asked as she ruffled her sister's hair.
"Gah! Yang Stop!"
"So where were you guys for the last two days?" Weiss asked as the three teams entered the main buildings.
"We went to Mistral to investigate an accident," Eva explained then looked at Blaise who shook his head, "and… and we stayed at my place for the night."
"I remember the Manos estate," Weiss said, "When my dad would go there for a business party he would drag Winter and me along."
"It has changed in these past few years, some scientists moved in to help with their research. Even Blaise's older brother." Team BLZE stopped dead in their tracks and stared at Eva for what she had just said. With sweat forming on her forehead he turned her head to face Blaise who looked more scared than she did as he looked at JNPR and RWBY who were looking at him.
"Eva, why have you forsaken me?" he asked her under his breath before the two teams moved in. He thought for a moment before the two teams started their barrages of questions and with speed that would leave Ruby in the dust he ran to the arena for dear life.
"Awww," Yang disappointedly said as she tried to spot her runaway boyfriend.
"So did he ask his brother about his past at least?" Ren asked as he grabbed Nora by the collar in what appeared to be mid teleport so she wouldn't chase Blaise.
"That's a family matter," Lapis explained causing the two teams to raise their eyebrows.
"That means he didn't tell us," Eva explained, "Come on, we should probably go Glynda's class."
"Now where is he?" Yang asked as she scanned the stands trying to find her boyfriend.
"I believe that is your answer," Ruby told her sister as she pointed at the big screen. On the screen was a picture of Blaise with a green under the picture next to a picture of a guy with platinum blonde hair with piercing blue eyes above a green bar with 'Alexander Wright' under that.
"So to avoid their questions he put himself in potential danger with his injury," Lapis said making Yang seem to appear in front of him.
"He's injured?" she asked.
"During the last mission he took a pretty nasty… blow to the chest," Lapis explained making Yang look worried. She was about to ask him another question but then the doors opened and the two guys walked onto the arena.
"So, you're Alexander?" Blaise asked as he walked towards the center of the room.
"Yes I am, and you're Blaise," Alex said as he pulled out his dual kriegsmesser swords, "I hope you're good at dodging because my non-aura piercing blades haven't arrived yet from Atlas."
"What a coincidence," Blaise said brandishing his cutlasses, "My swords are aura piercing as well."
"Well this isn't going to be as fun now," Alex said then the buzzer sounded signalling for them to start, but Alex held up his hand. "Now how about this, do you have any other weapons?"
"Yeah," Blaise replied understanding what Alex was getting at. Sheathing his swords he took the sheaths off of his belt and Alex did the same. "So what else do you have?"
"I have two dust swords," he said pulling out two long swords with curved handles and what seemed to be a revolver with dust in the slots.
"I have broadswords," Blaise replied activating his broadswords still connected to his wrist.
"Come on! We're waiting for a fight!" a person in the crowd shouted which both of the guys promptly gave him the finger.
"So I guess we should fight now," Alex said then looked at Blaise who was still flicking the person in the crowd off. Then he turned his attention back to Alex, smiled, then did a little bow.
"I believe in the game of chess white goes first," Blaise said laughing at his little joke.
"You asked for it," Alex replied as he fired off two rounds from each sword then ran at Blaise.
Raising his broadswords Blaise blocked all four shots then put his blades at his side. "Too easy." Blaise then planted one foot firm on the ground then swung to attack with his broadsword too early allowing Alex to stop his charge right in front of the sword's tip.
"Really? You must be out of practice."
"And you don't seem to understand the concept of a trap," Blaise replied as the launch mechanism activated throwing the tip of the sword at Alex's chest knocking his aura down halfway. Then Blaise lunged forward, grabbed his sword in mid-air, and struck Alex with a sweep to the legs using the sword knocking his aura down a decent amount as he fell to the ground.
After landing on the ground Alex rolled near the wall to avoid Blaise's immediate attack with the other broadsword impaling it into the ground a quarter the length of the blade. Detaching the blade from his wrist Blaise pulled out his railgun pistol and fired off a round at Alex who quickly pushed himself off of the ground and turned the dust revolver to blue and yellow dust making the blades shine blue and yellow.
He then stabbed the blue blade into the floor causing a geyser of water to erupt from the crack in the ground hitting Blaise throwing him to the wall and pinning him there. then he stabbed the yellow blade into the geyser causing an electric current to flow through the water zapping Blaise knocking his aura down to a quarter bar nearing the yellow.
The geyser stopped and Alex aimed some explosive dust rounds at where Blaise would land but couldn't see him there. Looking confused he turned his head to look around the arena trying to find Blaise, but couldn't find him, at least until the heard the charging of Blaise's railgun pistol right behind him.
Turning around he saw the end of the railgun and behind that he saw Blaise standing right behind him with water dripping off of him
"Welcome to Beacon," Blaise said then pulled the trigger sending Alex flying into the wall on the other side of the room landing in the small puddle. Blaise then jumped off the wall and landed on the floor grabbing the dust blade with the yellow dust still in the chamber he stabbed it into the wet floor sending an electric current through the water causing what sounded like a lightning bolt to hit Alex sending his aura to the red ending the match.
After the applause and cheering, mostly from RWBY and JNPR, Glynda came down onto the arena as Blaise was helping Alex up shaking his hand.
"Now everyone this is a prime example of one key thing all of us need to keep in mind during a battle," Glynda said to the stands then turned to the two guys who were picking up their swords, "and what would that be?"
Blaise was silent for a moment as he looked at Alex hoping he would answer, but he seemed to busy trying to fix his hair that was standing up in all directions. "Don't look away from your enemy," Blaise responded and Glynda nodded making Ruby raise an eyebrow at the wolf faunus from the statement.
"Yes, that would be correct Mr. Campione," Glynda said, "Mr. Wright seemed to have an advantage when he had pinned Blaise to the wall, but in the few moments Alexander looked away Blaise had used his railgun pistols to send himself flying across the room where he ended the match." She then flicked her crop fixing the damage done to the arena as the screen reset to allow for volunteers to volunteer to fight. Then she turned to the two guys. "I suggest you two find some dry clothes before your next class."
They didn't need anymore convincing, so they both turned and left to the locker room.
"That was some interesting fighting," Alexander complemented Blaise as he walked out of the shower wearing the Beacon provided towel around his waist while drying his hair with a smaller towel, "Where did you learn to do that?"
"I guess you learn a thing or two living on the streets," Blaise replied as he threw his wet clothes into a small mesh bag to put in the dryer later. Then he opened the first aid cabinet and pulled out some bandages then took off his wet bandages.
"You lived on the streets?" Alex asked as he turned the corner and saw Blaise's bare torso and all the scars, including the wounds from his time at the Manos Estate. "Seemed like it was tough."
"You could say that," Blaise responded then saw that Alex was looking at the newer wounds, "Disadvantages of having aura piercing blades." He wrapped his upper chest with the bandages then walked over to his spare Beacon uniform that he still hasn't worn the jacket of making him chuckle as he remembered his aviator trench coat was waterproof.
After Blaise put on the uniform with the dried off jacket he turned and saw Alex putting his coat on over his spare outfit. It consisted of a white tailcoat, a light blue dress shirt, an even lighter blue vest, black cargo pants, and black combat boots.
"Anyway, now it is time for proper introductions," Alex said extending out a hand for Blaise to shake, "Alexander Wright, student from Atlas, and leader of team AQRS (A/N: Pronounced Aquarius)."
"Blaise Campione," Blaise responded shaking his hand, "Beacon student, and leader of team BLZE."
"Heh, Blaise and BLZE, what a coincidence," Alex noted chuckling slightly.
Blaise shrugged. "I don't fully understand it either." Pulling out a towel he picked up his broadswords and pistols and started to dry them. "So, who's on the rest of your team?"
"The people I call the three idiots: Quinton Menton, Rieta Thorne, and Shizuko Dix," Alex explained as he combed his hair. "I guarantee you'll meet them soon." He then finished fixing his hair and started to leave the locker room. "See you around Blaise."
"Yeah, see you around Alex," Blaise said as Alex left the room. Blaise looked in the mirror for a second then his face scrunched up in disgust then he started to shake his head shaking off any excess water. After he finished shaking his hair he ran his fingers through his hair as a quick comb. Turning around he saw his girlfriend standing there nearly giving him a heart attack from the shock. "Jeez Yang, don't do that."
"So you got injured over your last mission," she said placing one finger on the middle of his chest not hurting him since that wasn't where the wraith stabbed him.
"No I didn't," Blaise tried to avoid having this conversation. Yang then moved her finger quickly to her right right above Blaise's heart then pressed down slightly making Blaise jump back covering his heart. Looking at Yang he saw her with her hands resting on her hips. "Fine I did get injured."
"Blaise, you need to tell me these things. Every time you leave Bacon you seem to always get hurt, and every time you leave I worry about you like crazy," she said moving in closer hugging him resting her head on his chest. "Please, you don't need to hide these things from me."
"Alright Yang," Blaise said as he placed his hand on her head then slid it down to her shoulder. "But first, can you please get off of me, my wounds are still hurting."
"Oh sorry," she said backing off of him.
"Well now," he sat down on the bench and motioned for her to sit down next to him, which she did. Putting his arm around her shoulder he took a deep breath. "The details are still fuzzy for me, but I'll try to explain it the best I can. I am youngest of four children of the Campione household. I have two older brothers: Lucius and Sedric. I have one elder sister named Lucia. After our family house was burned down we lived on the streets. Then my brother found the machine…"
After roughly half an hour of talking Blaise and Yang left the locker rooms and started to head toward Professor Port's Grimm Studies class. Blaise was happy that he had finally got those secrets off of his chest after explaining everything he knew about his family and past up to date. He even told her everything about what he's done while at Beacon, except for the parts where he helped out Roman, beat up her sister, and the fact that he was somewhat grimm.
"So what's going on over there?" Zaria asked as she pointed at Weiss and Jaune.
"From what I can tell, he's trying to ask her out on a date," Blaise said as he looked at the digital clock hologram from his scroll. The clock struck four and the bell rang making everyone glad the class was finally over.
Port then did his concluding statement as several students started to leave the room. Just before he could leave Port turned towards Blaise. "Mr. Campione, a word if you would."
"Alright," Blaise said raising an eyebrow as he turned to his team who were looking at him curiously, "I'll catch up with you." They nodded and left the room leaving Blaise with the teacher. "So what is this about? Because I swear I didn't sleep through your class."
"Oh, nothing serious, from me at least. Professor Ozpin would like to speak with you concerning the matter you two talked about a couple weeks back," he explained walking over to his desk.
"I told him I don't know where Glynda orders her coffee, the only time she ever has a chance to open up her scroll is when she goes into her room and I'm not sneaking in there," Blaise replied making Port confused for a moment then shook his head.
"No, the matter concerning Sedric and New Moon." Blaise nodded feeling a little stupid.
"Alright, well tell him I'm on my way," Blaise said then left the room sending a message to his team and Yang that he had some business to take care of.
"So, did you find anything?" Blaise asked as he walked into the room occupied by Ozpin and General Ironwood. "Or am I in trouble?"
"No you're not," Ozpin replied as he set an extra cup of coffee on the table for Blaise since this had become a common thing between them.
"So this is the one?" Ironwood asked as Blaise picked up the coffee and drank it.
"Hello Ironwood," Blaise greeted, "Good thing there is no assassin this time."
"Yes, James," Ozpin interjected, "This is the student who I am sending in."
"Where am I going?" Blaise asked.
"According to one of our spies in the White Fang they are having a faction meeting today down near the docks. And according to them the White Fang is going to be revealing some new plan the leaders are making up which we have reason to believe that it involves Sedric," Ozpin explained.
"The reason I am here is to know who to program out of the Atlasian knight's facial recognition software so you won't be arrested on spot," Ironwood explained as he took a picture of Blaise's face with his scroll.
"So you want me to go to the White Fang meeting, find out what they know, track down Sedric, and report back to you," Blaise said then downed the cup of coffee, "Alright, I can do that."
"I like this one," Ironwood said to Ozpin and Ozpin smiled.
After dropping off his things in his locker except for the wrist blades and pistols he headed to the airship docks and boarded the ship headed to Vale. After it landed Blaise headed straight for Dust of a New Day.
"Hello and welcome to Dust of a New-" the cashier greeted before Blaise pointed at his face, then pointed at the ground. Walking around the counter Blaise removed the mat covering the trap door then jumped down into the basement.
After he turned on the light Blaise walked over to the mannequins to try to find a new disguise for the night. Looking at the outfits Blaise came across a very interesting one (A/N: I'm not even going to explain this outfit, I'm going to have Blaise go full all out Assassin's Creed Black Flag since it is my favorite of the games. So without further adieu, imagine Blaise wearing the Pirate Captain outfit from AC4 (if you don't know what I'm talking about just imagine the assassin's creed armor just black with red accents) without the pistol holsters on the chest where he will have the regular holsters for his railgun pistols, so all credit to the outfit goes to Ubisoft). After putting on the outfit Blaise holstered his pistols and walked over to the aura cancelling blades where he picked up two cutlasses.
After checking out his equipment Blaise walked over to the rifles near the back and looked at some of the gun choices. Deciding on a railgun sniper rifle Blaise hooked it on his back and walked over to the ladder and climbed into the dust shop slightly shocking the cashier.
"Slow day?" Blaise asked then the cashier nodded. "Well, hopefully something interesting happens today." He then pulled the black hood over his head covering his eyes in a shadow.
Leaving the shop he saw a familiar yellow blur followed closely by the sound of a motorcycle engine. Smiling as he turned the corner passing a girl with raven black wearing a black trench coat wearing aviator sunglasses.
That was interesting, new OC team, Blaise going on a mission solo to a particular warehouse for a White Fang meeting, and Blaise going all out Assassin's Creed! (Guess what game I'm playing)
Anyway, the next chapter may take a bit longer because of tests so you'll just have to hold on for a little longer than usual. In the meantime you could check out my other fanfics... there aren't any, that's the joke.
Time for brain melting time!
