New chapter! *throws confetti* (Reader: 'J. Van A, that joke is getting old.' J. Van A: 'I know, I just can't think on anything else to say, so until then I shall beat the dead horse. Back to the A/N!')

So, we have a new chapter loaded. This has some comedy, mystery, and... Blaise getting his butt kicked? *scrolls down* That isn't normally supposed to happen. Well, anyway, someone at Beacon knows about Wolfgang (Blaise when helping out Roman), and interesting things happen.

Somewhat important stuff in ending author's note.

Enjoy

"Ow, ow ow, SHIT!" Blaise yelped as he jumped away from his team members who were cleaning his leg wound. "Stop stabbing into it!"

"This would've been much easier if you would've just come back shortly after you fought on the highway," Eva told him as she pressed the cotton swab into the wound making him jump again.

"Sit the hell down!" Lapis yelled at him as he grabbed Blaise by the shoulders and forced him back into the chair.

"You're lucky the sword didn't cut any deeper otherwise you'd have a severed artery and you would've bled out a long time ago."

"Well lucky me," Blaise sarcastically said then Zaria threw hydrogen peroxide into the wound making Blaise yell in pain before he was silenced by Lapis knocking him on the head rendering him unconscious.

"Should've done that sooner," Lapis said as he let go of his partner. "So should we take him to the infirmary?"

"No," Zaria replied, "His aura should heal it soon since it's already healing, and with his aura being on autopilot right now it should focus on his leg. If it's not better by morning, then we take him in."

"Alright."

"So, what are you doing Alex?" Quinton asked his leader who was searching some things up on his scroll.

"Oh nothing," Alex replied closing his scroll, "Just doing some research."

"On who this time?" Reita asked walking to the dorm room from the bathroom wearing her pajamas.

"Oh, just someone I met today," Alex replied avoiding the question.

"Who?" Shizuko asked looking up from her magazine.

"The one who was able to beat me during sparring."

"Oh, The Wolf of the Arena," she replied.

"What?" Alex asked turning to look at the redheaded girl.

"That's one of his many nicknames, or so what his girlfriend told me," she explained. "Rumor has it he's undefeated in the arena and once took on a full team by himself because they were bullying a faunus girl."

"He's also the leader of team BLZE who already went on two missions and were successful in doing so," Quinton added.

"Then the other rumors were that his team members are equally as strong. The berzerker took down a deathstalker by himself barehanded. The archer can kick her target into the wall to immobilize them so she can take them down easily. And the ninja can take down opponents in less than three seconds," Reita told them as she sat down on her bed. "So what did you find?"

"I only found out his family's background. His family's history dates back to the Great War and ends around 10 years ago. Then it is blank," Alex explained.

"So what are you thinking?"

"I think he's interesting," Alex smiled.

"Oh no, not again," Quinton groaned as he flopped down on his bed and covered his brown eyes with his arm.

"Morning Blaise," Lapis greeted his team leader who was standing next to his bed with a bucket of water, "I'd advise not doing that, or I'll just have to tell Yang what you did last night." At that Blaise stopped tipping the bucket then set it on the ground for a moment before he picked it up again, and with one swift movement he turned around to dump it on the sleeping Zaria waking her up. Dropping the empty bucket on Lapis Blaise jumped out of the window before Zaria could turn to see who dumped the bucket only to see Lapis propped up on his elbow holding the bucket getting ready to throw the bucket at the wolf faunus who was already gone.

"Zaria, I can explain."

"Lapis!"

"I hope you're happy," Lapis practically growled at Blaise while holding his throbbing forehead sitting across from said leader at the breakfast table.

"I actually am," Blaise said with a smug smile then his scroll buzzed. Munching on his waffle he opened his scroll to see the message. Downing his glass of orange juice he stood up and turned to his team. "I have to go see Ozpin. I should be back in time for classes, so I'll catch up with you guys in Oobleck's class." Leaving the table he passed a girl wearing sunglasses, a beret, and a haven uniform.

"So, what did you find?" Ozpin asked as he passed Blaise a cup of coffee with his symbol on the mug.

"Well," Blaise said then paused to take a drink of the coffee, "I didn't stay for long, but Sedric is planning something big. I believe it may involve the wraiths or possibly other variations. You did read the updated file right?"

"The wraiths were a failed product of an experiment involving faunus to give them grimm attributes. I read the file," Ozpin replied.

"Well, the only reason I believe Sedric would need that many 'assistants' would be to try to create a grimm enhanced army for the White Fang. He's probably going to be slowed down though."

"Why would that be?" Ozpin inquired.

"Him getting away costed him an arm and a leg," Blaise replied the pulled out his scroll and showed Ozpin the websites he was researching. "I think he's either going to buy or steal a mechanical prosthetic arm and leg so if we can contact these companies to inform us on any purchases of both or any thefts and that should help us narrow down Sedric's location. And we can narrow it down to near the coastline because at the meeting he promised an ocean view."

"Good work," Ozpin told him. "Well, you should probably head to class. I'll send Oobleck a message to not mark you late. Also your usual payment has been made to the usual account with the same amount taken off of your tuition."

"Thanks Professor," Blaise said nearing the exit.

"Couple more solo missions and you'll be going to Beacon for free," Ozpin said as Blaise closed the door behind him.

"Alright, so you're going to the training rooms to fight with the droids, right?" Blaise asked Yang in the elevator to the lower levels of the school.

"Yep, and you're going to the workshops to make some… whaddaya call it?" Yang asked.

"Non-aura cancelling railgun cutlasses," Blaise explained as the elevator opened.

"Alright, then maybe we can have a fair fight."

"Yeah, I might actually win," Blaise said waving goodbye to his girlfriend as he turned the corner.

Reaching the workshop his team shared with RWBY Blaise could hear the metal music from about three doors behind. Walking into the room he could barely even hear the metal grinding that Ruby was doing to sharpen the blades of one of her Crescent Rose 2.0s she's been working on for the past few months. Reaching his storage locker Blaise took out his dull identical copies of his cutlasses and the four railgun parts he was going to attach today.

Sitting down on the bench he started welding the gun to the blades. Moments later Ruby was finished sharpening the blade then turned around and nearly jumped into the wall.

Blaise then picked up the remote to shut off the music. "Evening," he greeted then went back to welding.

"Blaise, you nearly gave me a heart attack!"

"But I didn't," Blaise said in a matter-of-factly voice.

"What are you doing?" she asked then Blaise gestured at the sword, then at the welder. "Oh. So when are you going to be done with that?"

He turned off the welder then walked over to the grider. "A few moments. Do you want to spar?"

"Sure." He nodded then turned on the grinder and started sharpening the sword.

"Alright, so this will be interesting, two non-aura cancelling cutlasses vs. a prototype scyt-" Blaise was saying before he was cut off by Ruby disappearing leaving a small amount of rose petals behind. Then she re-appeared in front of him and slapped a bracelet on each of Blaise's wrists. Before he could react the bracelets activated turning into powerful magnets clasping themselves behind his back. "Ruby, this isn't fa-" he was cut off by being hit by the bulk end of the scythe knocking him to the ground. "Seriously Ruby you can sto-" She impaled the blade into the ground right next to his neck then cocked the sniper component making him shut up.

"Why are you working for Torchwick?" she demanded moving her finger close to the trigger.

"Ruby, what are you talking about?" Blaise asked trying to pull the magnets apart to no avail.

"Let me rephrase that. Why are you working for Torchwick, Wolfgang?" she demanded placing her finger on the trigger as she clared at him with her silver eyes.

"Ruby, seriously-" She pulled the trigger making the clicking noise. She looked at the underside of the scythe and realized she forgot the magazine. Pulling the spare from out of her belt she clicked it into place on the scythe then cocked the gun again.

"One more lie and you'll be very good at doing the headless horseman cosplay."

"Stop!" Blaise shouted activating his semblance to melt through the bracelets. Then he rolled out out the way just before she pulled the trigger dragging the blade through the ground.

Grabbing the scythe's shaft Blaise melted down the barrel not allowing her to fire anymore bullets. This would benefit Blaise, except for the fact that Ruby was scythe wielder.

Pulling the scythe out of the ground, Ruby attacked Blaise hitting him in the back with the blade knocking down his aura fast. Taking off the back end of the prototype she unfurled the part to reveal it was able to turn into a hand scythe. Hooking Blaise by the neck with the blade she pulled Blaise up to her head level to stare him right in the eyes.

"'Don't look away from your enemy,'" she said to Blaise making him mentally slap himself while focusing his aura to his neck. "Wolfgang told me that down at the docks, and I wouldn't have remembered it except that you said it the exact way, in the exact tone, he did. I even talked with my friend from the docks and you won't believe what she told me."

"And what did Penny say?" Blaise asked then mentally slapped himself again remembering that neither she or anyone from RWBY told him about Penny.

"Nothing, I lied. The only way you would've known her name would be if you were there," she said pulling on the small scythe a little harder.

"Fine, fine, I was there," Blaise said then Ruby let go of him. Checking his scroll Blaise noticed his aura was down to 1%. "But I wasn't working for Torchwick."

"Then why were you there?"

"I needed to find information on my family, and the only way at the time was to get the information from Junior, and the only way I was going to get that information would be if I were to do a job to get money to pay Junior," Blaise explained rubbing his neck. "All that crap about seeing my hometown on my transcripts was fake. It said I was from Hillfar, that place doesn't even exist, so there was only one possibility to find information, just ask Yang, she went there before and demanded information. So I stayed at Roman and Neo's place until I had the information on the Ayw Isle."

This peaked her interest. "Where are they staying?"

"Don't even bother, they're both going to the south outside of Vale, I know you know this information, and I didn't stick around at the White Fang meeting for long since I had to try to stop my brother from escaping."

"Your brother?"

"Yeah, my family is very fucked up. First my eldest brother experiments on my sister and me, leaves us alone, then dies, but doesn't and became a good guy. Then number two took over the family crazy psycho trail and does crazy experiments after number one 'dies' leaving my sister and me alone when number one left before he died. Then my sister and I are grimm faunus freaks living on the streets growing up to become assassins," Blaise explained then punched the floor sending his aura to zero making his fist bleed from the impact.

"Blaise, I'm sorry," Ruby apologized then he stood up turning away from Ruby.

Blaise was silent for a couple moments clenching his red hot fists then his hands cooled off and he slouched. With a heavy sigh he turned to face Ruby. "Ruby, I'm sorry for that outburst. I've just had a lot of things on my mind as of late." He walked over to the bench in the spare training room and sat down.

"Well, unloading every once in a while is a good thing," Ruby said sitting next to him on the bench. "If we can't work properly we can become a problem to our team. I know I've had to have little outbursts when I'm by myself. You're not the only one who has problems. Trust me, moving ahead two years may seem like a good thing, but with some subjects that were covered in those two years it can cause one to have some stress around test time."

"You do realize you're talking to an amnesiac?" Blaise asked then chucked resulting in her joining in.

After a couple of moments of silence Ruby broke it. "So, your brother is planning something bad, right?" she asked holding onto the scythe looking at the melted barrel.

"Yeah, something horrible involving faunus experimentation turning them into something like me," Blaise said turning his eyes from white/red to black/red for emphasis.

"Well, you're a great fighter, so wouldn't that be a good thing? Well, except that they'll be working for the White Fang."

"My sister and I are small miracles. There's only a slight chance that the person survives the experiment, and even there they could be more grimm than faunus," Blaise explained making Ruby look at him realizing what he had just said. "If the experiment fails they become a whole new kind of grimm. The kind that we fought at the Manos estate were called 'Wraiths,' and they were smart grimm that could almost speak, which we had guessed were bird faunus. And they were smart enough to learn fighting styles so they could mimic it and eventually disarm them. The one that I had fought before disarmed me and used my own cutlasses against me."

"But you were able to defeat it, right?"

"No," Blaise said with a look of shock crossing Ruby's face, "It impaled me with my own swords through my chest cutting through my heart… It killed me, but since my brother, Lucius, pulled a miracle out of his ass, I was saved."

"So this machine is that dangerous," Ruby said and Blaise nodded.

"And that is why I am investigating Sedric whenever I can to stop him from using the machine," Blaise said then Ruby stood up.

"So, another problem the White Fang is causing is creating a dangerous grimm army they can control that needs to be stopped sooner rather than later," she said spinning the scythe as she walked in front of Blaise, then she impaled the tip into the ground while she turned to face him, "When do we start?"

*READ AUTHOR'S NOTE TO END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION*

Oh yeah, the show's main character has finally stepped into the fray. Now instead of Blaise being all secrecy all by himself as Wolfgang he will have a Red Reaper assist him. (I did not come up with that name at all. Five guesses where I got that from.)

So, in case you're wondering, or just need help visualizing OCs. Here's Team AQRS (taken directly from my cliff notes doc):

Alexander Wright - boy - platinum hair, blue eyes. Dual kriegsmesser swords. Dust revolver longswords with curved handles. White tailcoat, a light blue dress shirt, an even lighter blue vest, black cargo pants, and black combat boots. Hydrokinesis - if serious can manipulate water in a person's body (possibly change it later)

Quinton Menton - boy - red and black knight, red hair, brown eyes. Six foot long lance that collapses into a three foot long broadsword. Kite Shield that turns into a rocket launcher. Juggernaut semblance - can go straight forward in one direction and can cause a lot of damage, be it by his lance or body.

Reita Thorne - girl - tall, slender build, long teal hair normally kept in a bun, green eyes. Semi automatic sniper rifle, keeps a modern shortsword on side incase she needs to fight close combat. Semblance - can make her presence practically unnoticeable so she can sneak around.

Shizuko Dix - girl - red hair tied up in a ponytail, blue eyes. Two dust blade katanas attached together by the handle bases that can create dust arc blasts and a desert eagle. Light red Samurai armor minus the helmet. Semblance - Can increase the speed of her attacks.

Now... I know this is not commonly asked by authors, or it might, I don't quite pay attention to these kinds of things. I've been thinking of having a cool cover art for this fanfic, but my only art skills are in photoshop. So I was wondering that is there are any people who can draw good reading this, could you make a cover art for this fanfic. I can't really pay you, mainly because I'm pretty much broke, and I'm going to make a cover art if nobody else does because, as mentioned earlier, I can photoshop somewhat. If you have time and draw something cool just send it my way and we can talk about what I can do to repay you. Ex: your OC making an appearance, or you (if you send me a description). There's no real time limit on this impromptu art contest since I know art takes time. Anyway, have fun, go nuts.

Last thing, we're going to have a LOT of comedy in the next few chapters. Mostly involving Blaise and Ruby, Blaise and Alexander, and Ruby and WBY. And some serious things, mostly involving Quinton and Lapis, Shizuko and Zaria, then finally BLZE and AQRS.

Good night,
