Hello, hello, hello. I had spare time to do this, so I got it done early. Anyway, the plot does kind of move fast here, basically I want Blaise and Ruby to return to Beacon next chapter which means I will have to move the plot along fast.
Also, chapter 30!
Well, enjoy.
"The new recruits are going to arrive in a few hours, what do you want us to do?" the White Fang Lieutenant asked Sedric as he entered the room.
"What I want to happen is simple," Sedric said turning around wearing a full face White Fang wolf mask to look at the Lieutenant. "Take out the weak ones and send them to the other lab. The strong ones are to be sent to the research facility to be trained to be guards and/or scientist helpers. The typical routine. After you give these orders to the guards here you may leave to go to Mountain Glenn, Torchwick may have need of you."
"Good, this place gives me the creeps," he replied then headed out the door, "It has been nice working with you."
"Yeah, you too," Sedric replied knowing that the Lieutenant had already been out of earshot. Extending his prosthetic arm several new mechanisms activated opening the palm slowly ejecting a large auto-injector into his hand. Looking at it he observed the strange dust mixture that was in it. "Made by the Manos company's own Dust Specialist Orlando 'Merlin' Cooper. What I wonder what you will do now." Inserting the auto-injector back into his arm he closed his fist and with several new mechanisms whirring a long thin blade shit out from the bottom if his wrist. "Let us see how you'll live next time we meet, Blaise." Quickly he sheathed his wrist blade and turned to walk out of his office with the sound of screams in the distance he had gotten used to in these last few days.
'How are you doing?' Blaise wrote on the sheet of paper and slid it over to Ruby.
"I really don-" she was saying before Blaise stopped her and wrote something else on the paper.
'Do not talk. Most faunus have enhanced hearing so they'll know what you're saying,' he wrote explaining it to her getting a nod in reply.
'I'm just nervous. I've never done anything this serious before,' Ruby wrote and passed it to Blaise.
'Don't worry. I will do anything I can to keep you from danger. After all, that's one of the advantages of being a sniper. :P' he wrote earning a playful punch to the shoulder.
"We will be arriving at our destination in a couple minutes," the loudspeaker notified everyone making Ruby unconsciously grab at her hood and pull it further over her face.
'Remember, if anyone talks to you get my attention and I will do the talking,' Blaise reminded her getting a nod before he lit the note in his hand on fire destroying the evidence of their conversation and throwing it out the window.
"Alright! Everyone line up! Any headwear is to be removed!" the White Fang guard announced making Ruby give Blaise a concerned look.
"It'll be alright," Blaise whispered comforting her as he gave her a white fang mask which she put on, "Remember, I go by Timber Wolf, and you go by Arctic Wolf." Then he pulled off his hood and walking into line.
"Ok," she nodded spraying herself a little with the grimm perfume before she pulled off her hood standing next to Blasie in line.
"You, over there, you, stay," the guard said motioning for several faunus in the line to move going down the line nearing Ruby and Blaise. "You," he pointed at Blasie and looked him over, "stay. You," he pointed at Ruby, "over there." Ruby was about to move before Blaise extended his hand to stop Ruby. "What are you doing?" the White Fang guard asked Blaise getting close up in his face staring into Blaise's pitch black mask.
"She stays with me," Blaise said making the White Fang guard slightly cower from his glare.
"What? Is she your girlfriend?"
"My sister, wherever she goes I go," Blaise replied then the guard seemed to get annoyed.
"Fine by me, we have enough guards. Over there, both of you," he demanded and both of them walked over to the group of weak looking faunus and walked to the back of the group and pulled on their hoods.
Back at the line Lucia noticed what happened. Quickly pulling off her weapons and trench coat she wrapped them into a bundle just in time for the guard to get over to her.
"You," he said looking over Lucia's scrawny figure, "over there." She sighed in relief as she jogged over to the group and tried to locate her brother and the girl in red to no avail. Pulling back on her trench coat and sheathing her weapons she leaned on the side of the building.
"Blaise," Ruby whispered getting Blaise's attention as she pointed at the newcomer, "Look, railgun weapon."
"I see, Arctic," he emphasized on her fake name, "We should be wary of her. Do not talk with her until we observe her enough." Then the small group they were part of was being loaded onto a separate truck, not as nice as the bus. "Something tells me we aren't helping create scientific advances."
Sitting next to Ruby they both sat across from the girl in the black trench coat who was looking over the passengers of the truck from under her sunglasses.
"Sunglasses, just like when you first showed up at Beacon," she said to Blaise.
"I see," Blaise said as the trucks entered a forested area and were now being escorted by White Fang riding motorcycles. "You still have your pistols?" he asked her and she nodded, "Good, keep their blades under wraps, I think they are prepared to go against any hostile action."
After the trucks parked the faunus were unloaded and started to be escorted by armed White Fang guards, for their protection, towards a facility nearby. Ruby and Blaise quickly slipped out of the lineup and followed closeby from the bushes. Unknowingly to them, Lucia was also following from the bushes on the other side of the path.
"This is going to be your new home for the next few weeks," one of the guards said, "and you will now report to him." He pointed at a wolf faunus walking towards the group of faunus in a black long coat wearing a full face wolf mask.
"Greetings," he said, "My name is Sedric Campione. You should remember me from the faction meeting. The people who have been left behind will be working as security for this facility where you all will be assisting me and my lower scientists in turning the tide of this everlong battle between the humans and our kind. You are to stay in the main facility and under no circumstances will you ever go into the underground levels or the warehouses behind the facility. Those are punishable by death. If you will now follow the guards, they shall show you to your accommodations." He turned around and walked back to his tower in the middle of the facility.
"Here's the plan," Blaise said turning to Ruby, "I am going to go and investigate the tower and find any documents on what they are doing here. You are going to find a spot to observe and provide support. You're going to use the earpiece to tell me who is coming in my general direction and any possible escape routes I can use. Use the aura piercing bullets I gave you and if you or I am in a situation, use them. Do you have all that?"
"Yeah," she nodded before disappearing in a puff of rose petals to her safe sniping perch.
"You hear me?" Blaise asked into his earpiece.
"Loud and clear," Ruby replied, "Heh, I see you."
"Get your crosshairs off of me," Blaise replied moving to the left.
"I have the safety on, jeez."
"Doesn't matter, you have aura piercing bullets, and I don't feel like dying today." He then started to walk to the tower passing by every guard unnoticed.
"Huh," Ruby said looking at the tower seeing very little guards in the building, "There are only like three guards in the whole building and Sedric who's nearing the top office as we speak."
"Thanks," Blaise said waving at Ruby from the building before he entered it, "Keep communications at a minimum."
"Ok," she responded then felt a barrel of a gun being pressed to the back of her head. Cautiously turning around she saw the girl in the trench coat from before with the railgun shotgun aimed at her face. Moving her hands to her ear Lucia motioned for Ruby to remove the earpiece and put it on the ground. Ruby followed her orders slowly removing the earpiece and placing it on the ground.
"Good, now girl in red, what are you doing here?"
"I'm helping out a friend," Ruby replied.
"Well I'm here looking for my brother, and I believe you're traveling with him. What is his name?" she questioned.
"His name is Timber Wolf," Ruby told her getting a hit to the face by the broadside of the shotgun knocking her to the ground knocking the wig off.
"Oh, aren't you the brave one? A human coming to a White Fang research facility. Do you have any idea what they would do to your kind if they caught you?" Lucia asked aiming the railgun shotgun at Ruby's face striking fear into the younger girl's heart.
"Are you going to bring me to them?" she asked ready to try to run.
"No," Lucia smiled, "My brother is the one in charge here, and he's kind of an asshole. So I won't turn you in here. Now tell me who is your companion." She gave her a wolfish grin as he aimed the shotgun at Ruby's face yet again making sure Ruby would see down the barrel.
"His name is Blaise campione, and we're here to try to stop the White Fang's plan," Ruby quickly explained then Lucia lowered her shotgun and smiled.
"See was that too hard? My name is Lucia Campione, professional assassin and fake Haven student," Lucia greeted extending a hand to help Ruby up who cautiously took it. "And you are?"
"Ruby Rose, Beacon student," she replied making Lucia regret the fake Haven student part of her greeting. "So should I contact Blaise? I have an earpiece."
"No, no, no," Lucia replied then grabbed Ruby by the hood and started to pull her towards the buildings, "You and I are going to find out what Sedric has been doing for the past few weeks."
'This is going to be interesting,' Blaise thought as he pulled another White Fang guard into the closet and knocked him out. 'One more, at least. That is what Ruby said. And then off to the records room, that should be either in the main office or close to.'
"Hello little assassin," the intercom said getting Blaise's attention. "You have nothing to worry about, the only ones in here are you and me. I ordered all of my other guards out moments ago. Now, you can come up to the top level to meet with me, or I can burn down this building to smoke you out. I don't care either way you choose, I have other facilities on the other continents."
Weighing his options Blaise continued on his path to the top of the tower. Entering a dark conference room Blaise saw a projector on showing a 3D model of the common Wraith, then the image changed.
"Oh dust, what have you done Sedric?"
"Are those screams?" Ruby asked Lucia pulling out her pistols as they both approached the warehouses near the fuel tanks.
"I don't think those are screams," Lucia said as she opened the door carefully, "They seem more like howls."
Entering the room they saw several rows of cages stacked three cages high filled with what appeared to be grimm.
"What are these?" Ruby asked Lucia who looked on the verge of tears pressing a spot on the middle of her chest.
"They're like me, but worse," she simply replied then pointed at a nearby cage holding something similar to a beowolf except it looked more human with glowing red lines across its body. Its long arms were covered in grimm armor with red line accents and the similar appearance were on its legs. "Wendigo." Turning around she pulled Ruby back to the door. Leaving the building they saw several White Fang guards surrounding them with weapons raised.
"Entering that warehouse is punishable by death," the head guard told the two girls in a monotone.
"You have no idea what is in there," Ruby told them extending the pistols' blades.
"Entering that warehouse is punishable by death," the head guard repeated in a monotone.
"Dust," Lucia cursed as she pulled out her longsword, "Sedric brainwashed them. That's what he's doing. Brainwash the guards and turn the weak recruits into monsters." Pulling off her glasses she dropped them onto the ground and stomped on them. Opening her eyes she revealed her black and red eyes glaring at the guards who quivered a bit. "Ruby, run," Lucia told the younger girl just as she blocked the barrage of bullets from the guards with her longsword. With a puff of rose petals the younger girl was gone.
After a couple moments of deflecting bullets the guards had to reload. "Now boys, if there's one thing you should know," she said implanting the sword into the ground and released a short blood curdling howl then pulled the sword out of the ground and got into an offensive stance, "It is that you should never mess with a Campione." Then the warehouse wall behind her broke open with Wraiths and Wendigos pouring out of the breach charging to the wolf faunus's aid.
"Interesting isn't it," Sedric said making his presence known to Blaise who still had his hood on. "Why would we even need soldiers to defeat the humans when we could just drop a couple hundred of these new grimm into a city."
"Are you insane, these grimm would kill everyone," Blaise said making his location known to Sedric. "Then they would just spread out and kill innocent cities."
"Do you think I hadn't planned that far ahead," Sedric scoffed. "During the process of changing the faunus into the grimm we implant what I like to call a safety switch into their heads. After they do what we want, I flip the switch and they all die instantly."
"Why are you doing this?" Blaise asked him.
"Because the humans have to suffer!" Sedric shouted at Blaise. "They took my family away from me leading to my older brother to die and my younger siblings to abandon me."
"Your younger siblings abandoned you because you turned your back on them!" Blaise shouted pulling off his hood, mask, and wig then walked into Sedric's face making him see who he was.
"Blaise," Sedric said then shot out his right arm grabbing Blaise by the throat lifing him off of the ground. "You know, I thought I would have to go to you to do this, but it seems you just want this to happen." He then wound his arm back and threw Blaise out the window knocking his sniper rifle off of his back and to the ground.
Snapping his fingers Blaise landed on the side of the building. Then Sedric walked out of the window and using his new arm and leg he implanted them into the wall allowing him to walk across the side of the building a little out of arm's reach.
"New toys?" Blaise asked then only got a growl in response.
Before he could react Sedric removed his arm from the wall and extended it a little to grab Blaise. Then with one swift movement Blaise was thrown onto the roof of the building with Sedric climbing onto the roof.
"You have anything to say now?" Sedric asked only to get a fist to the face knocking his upper body to the side allowing him to recover easily. "That all you have?" he asked before extending his wrist blade from his right arm and punching Blaise in the lower abdomen stabbing him in the process. Blaise fell onto the ground curling in pain as he held the stab wound trying to stop the blood flow. "Now what should I do now?" Sedric asked brandishing his zweihander. "Should I take off your arm and leg, or just get this over with quickly."
"Ru-Ruby," Blaise said pressing his hand onto his earpiece only to get no response.
"Nobody is coming to save you now," Sedric told Blaise impaling the zweihander tip into the floor then he grabbed Blaise with his left hand and pulled him up to his level. "Relax, I'm not going to kill you," Sedric said ejecting the auto-injector from his arm into his hand, "This is just going to make you wish you were dead."
See, the plot did move fast, and yet again Blasie is near death, and he will get out alive again, or will he?
Chibi Blaise: *holding bleeding wound* Why do you hate me? *whines as he falls onto the ground*
Chibi Sedric: *walks in and places his left hand on Blasie's shoulder* It could be worse, you could be missing your arm and leg.
Chibi Lucius: I barely even got screen time.
Chibi Lucia: *Puts face against the screen causing it to fog up for a moment* Hey guys, there are people watching us.
Chibi Lucius: What are you even talking about?
Chibi Lucia: I think this is called breaking the fourth wall. I see this all the time online reading Deadpool comics.
Chibi Lucius: What do they look like.
Chibi Lucia: Some of them seem have their face really close to the screen and the others are sitting down in chairs. Ooh, there's a hot one. *Drools while looking at the screen*
Chibi Sedric: *panicking* GUYS! GUYS! BLAISE IS BLEEDING OUT! I CAN'T FEEL A PULSE!
Chibi Lucius: *drinking random tea* The reason you don't feel a pulse is because you don't even have fingers.
Chibi Sedric: *looks down in horror* AHHH! I DON'T HAVE ANY HANDS! EVEN ON MY ROBOTIC ARM!
*closes door*
That was strange, those guys are going to give me nightmares, I swear.
Well, the art contest is still up, uhh post comments in the reviews. I'm thinking of having Ruby and Lucia to do some serious ass kicking in the next chapter.
Well, I'm going to now play Fallout New Vegas or catch up on Supernatural. (I'm leaning towards Supernatural)
Goodbye,
