If you read the title of this chapter, and if you know me properly, you know exactly what is in this chapter. I actually had some fun writing this chapter.
And before we start, wow, 7,000 views. Either you guys like this, or I'm just great tricking people into reading this by using the summary.
Enjoy.
"So has anyone else noticed something off about Blaise?" Zaria asked Lapis and Eva as they sat down at the table for breakfast.
"Other than the fact that whenever he comes into the dorm room he just lays down in bed and covers himself in his blanket for hours until it is time for classes the next day, no," Lapis said eating a spoonful of cereal.
"I'm also guessing it is related to why we aren't sitting with RWBY," Eva said.
"I thought we were just sitting here so there would be more room for AQRS," Zaria said confused as she saw said team approaching.
"Well, you're wrong," Eva interjected, "Blaise broke up with Yang for some reason, and now the tensions between the two are high. I'm surprised Yang hadn't volunteered to spar against Blaise the other day to kick the shit out of him."
"So wait, Blaise broke up with Yang, but he is taking it harder than her?" Zaria asked.
"Well, from what I can guess," Alex interjected as he sat down, "Is that since Yang had gone through several break ups before, she knew how to deal with it better. Ruby told me."
"And where is Blaise?" Quinton asked LZE.
"Well…" Eva trailed off.
"Where are we going?" Lucia asked her brother as she looked out of the airship's window.
"A surprise," he said not looking with his hood still pulled over his head.
"Well, we are landing in a few minutes," she said seeing the ground slowly come closer to them.
"Good, now I need to message my ride," he said opening his scroll.
"And who is your ride?"
"Oh, just one of Eva's father's employees," he explained, "He is supposed to pick us up at the front of the airport, then take us into Lanteglos where we are going to meet with someone."
"And who is this someone?"
"You'll find out."
"Why are you being so mysterious?"
"Because for the last few days I've been majorly depressed, and since Ozpin gave me a day off, I thought I could do something positive with my sister," he explained resting his head back on the headrest.
"Blunt much?" she grumbled as she crossed her arms.
"What? First breakup, I'm entitled to being depressed."
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but she wasn't your first girlfriend."
"And how did that go over?" he asked.
"You both were going along just fine, she was a polar bear faunus. Short, pretty," she chuckled, "You used to say that she resembled a panda more than a polar bear, but then she would beat you up."
"Really, why did we break up?"
"Well, you didn't, she died," she explained, "Car crash. You were more depressed back then than you are now."
"I can see why, but was the purpose of that to comfort me?"
"No, just inform. You can process it however you want," she said as they both felt the airship land.
"So he went to Mistral?" Lapis asked Eva at the table.
"Yeah, he said Ozpin let him have a day off so he went with his sister over to Mistral," she explained.
"What are they doing there?" Alex asked.
"Blaise said that he was going to bring Lucia to visit their older brother Lucius who they had thought was dead for almost a year."
"Oh, well I guess that's good."
"Although he was concerned about how she would react to seeing him."
"And why is that?"
"So who are we seeing?" Lucia asked as she entered the black Manos company car.
"He is actually somewhat famous," Blaise said entering his side then signalled for the driver to go.
"Well, since we are in a Manos company car I guess you're taking me to see Linus Manos, the owner of the Manos Company," she guessed.
"Sort of," the driver said then turned around to look at the two siblings in the back, "Hello Lucia, my name is Linus Manos, but I am not the person Blaise brought you to meet."
"What are you doing here?" Blaise asked him. "I thought Eva said you would send one of your chuffers to pick us up?"
"Well, originally that was the plan, but then I decided that everyone could have the day off unless they volunteered to keep track of our more dangerous work," he explained looking back to the road, "So instead of forcing some of my workers to work on their day off, I decided to dive you guys around."
"But what about Helena?" Blaise asked.
"She's asleep," he said pointing at the passenger seat next to him. "I asked her if she wanted to come along and she did, but after playing the alphabet game she fell asleep in her search for 'Q'. Anyway, so this is your sister, Blaise."
"Hi," Lucia said somewhat shyly.
"Huh, speak up."
"Hi," she repeated louder, "I am Lucia, Blaise's older sister."
"Well I already knew that," he said cracking a smile. "So where am I taking you today?"
"We're meeting him at the park," Blaise said and Linus smiled as he turned left to head to the park.
"Will you at least give me another hint?" she asked as they exited the car.
"You'll see, you'll see," Blaise reassured her as he pulled on his hood when he was exiting the car. "And where will you be Linus?"
"Oh, Helena and I will probably be at the playground," Lunis replied hoisting the now awake girl into his arms. "I trust you can have him give you two a ride to the airport when you're done."
"Yeah, we'll do that," Blaise said waving good-bye to the man as they both went their separate ways.
"So where are we supposed to meet him?" Lucia asked Blaise as they sat down on the park bench.
"Well, the more correct term is them," a female voice said behind the two. Turning around Blaise saw Lucius and Marilyn holding what appeared to be two small bundles. And Blaise noticed Marilyn wasn't as big as she was before.
"Lucia," Blaise said looking at the surprised girl, "This is Marilyn and Orlando Cooper, or a better way of phrasing this is Marilyn and Lucius Campione."
"Don't forget the kids," Lucius said turning the bundle in his arms to show the two the small sleeping face inside. "Lucia and Blaise, I would like to introduce you two to Clara and Sonia Campione."
"Wait, wait, waitwaitwait," Lucia said grabbing the bench for support, "You didn't die, and now you are working with the Manos Research Company, with a new family?"
"Well, kinda," Lucis replied handing Clara to Marilyn then walked over to the bench. "I did die about a year ago, but with my semblance I survived. Then I went to the hospital and met Marilyn. We got married and now we have two kids."
"You're still alive," she said still somewhat in disbelief as she walked around the bench.
"Yes, I am."
Then she did something Blaise wasn't expecting, she pulled her fist back and was about to punch Lucius. Just before her fist connected she moved it to the side and hugged Lucius still managing to knock the wind out of him.
"What is it with you two and your freakish strength?" Lucius wheezed as he struggled against the bone crushing hug.
"So Marilyn," Blaise said ignoring his siblings, "I thought you guys said last time that the kids would be born around our summer break."
"Well, they were supposed to be born this month but they came prematurely, and we said that because we thought you guys would want to interact with them when they are slightly bigger," she explained. "Do you want to hold one?"
"What? No, I don't want to hurt the baby," Blaise said slightly backing up.
"I think I'm dying here," Lucius wheezed with his face turning a shade of red.
"Come on, it isn't that hard to hold them. You won't hurt them."
"You don't seem to understand. I don't think I will hurt the baby, I know I will hurt the baby," Blaise said before Marilyn gave him a 'shut up' look.
"Very simple, put the bottom part of your hand on the upper part of your abdomen so that your elbow is bent," she explained and waited for Blaise to follow her direction. Before he could even move she put Sonia into Blaise's arm. "Now put your other arm on to her side so that she doesn't fall. Hold the bottom part of the bundle gently and now you are holding the baby properly."
"Are you crazy?" Blaise asked as he moved his hand to stop Sonia from possibly falling and held the bottom of the blanket. "I could've dropped her as a reflex."
"But you didn't, mainly because in the back of your head you thought you wouldn't harm your niece," she explained as Sonia opened her eyes to look at Blaise. Looking down he saw her left eye was blue and the other was brown.
"Heh, heterochromia," Blaise said looking at the two curious eyes looking at him.
"Yeah, they both have it, which isn't surprising since it skips a generation in my family. Since they both have it Lucius and I were glad that Clara's eye colors are swapped. Before they were born I worried that we might not be able to tell the difference between the twins," she said chuckling at Blaise.
"That was fortunate," Blaise said as Sonia went back to sleep in his arms.
"She likes you," Marilyn said as Blaise looked up with a small smile on his face. "She didn't cry as soon as I handed her to you and she even went to sleep. Although they don't cry much compared to some of the other families at the mansion."
"Blaise… save me," Lucius wheezed as he tugged on the bottom of Blaise's pant leg.
"So that was an interesting day," Lucius said in the passenger seat of his car looking into the back seat as Marilyn drove the company to the airport. "Except for the part where I passed out and Lucia nearly decapitated the waiter with the serving tray."
"I said I was sorry," Lucia nearly shouted.
"Just because he accidentally brushed his hand against yours after he placed your food in front of you, doesn't mean you had every right to throw him to the floor and ninja star throw the circular tray into the ground next to his neck, and then blame it as a 'reflex'," Blaise said moving his finger in front of Sonia's open eyes as she followed his finger. "But I mean the food was good. We had to pay for the damages though. The waiter was even kind enough to take a group picture of us."
"So Blaise," Lucius said getting his little brother's attention, "When am I going to be an uncle, because from my perspective it seems fun?"
"Well, your best chances at being an uncle is asking Lucia or Sedric," Blaise said making both of the parents in the front seat to look at Blaise. "First of all, I'm 17. Second, Yang and I broke up."
"Why? I thought you said you two were doing fine?" Marilyn asked pulling the car to the sidewalk in front of the terminal building.
"Just some… personal matters," Blaise explained as he put Sonia into her car seat in between him and Lucia. "Anyway, our relationship was doomed for failure since human/faunus relationships are shunned in society."
"What? It's not like it hasn't happened before. How do you think the Campione family went from a human family to a pack of wolf faunus?" Lucius asked as both Lucia and Blaise exited the car. Blaise then walked over to Lucius' open window and leaned in.
"I know the story, but I also did it for her protection. You of all of us should know the dangers of our other life," Blaise said then turned to enter the building.
"So how was visiting the family?" Eva asked as Blaise entered the dorm room and hung his coat on the coat rack they still swore wasn't there a moment before he hung up his coat.
"It was fun, it went as you'd expect: Lucia nearly made Lucius pass out, we went out for lunch, Lucia nearly killed a waiter, I held a baby. You know, the whole nine yards," Blaise explained as he sat down on his bed and plugged in his scroll to charge.
"I'm not even going to ask about the passing out or the waiter, but you held a baby?" Lapis asked as Blaise adjusted himself on his bed so he was in a comfortable reading position with his feet up.
"I'm an uncle," Blaise explained with a small smile on his face the didn't go unnoticed by his teammates.
"So I take it the day was a success," Zaria said.
"Yeah," Blaise replied, "It is nice to have a good day every once in a while where nothing really bad happens." Looking at his scroll he noticed the wallpaper and smiled slightly before the screen turned black.
Eva took her chance and glanced at the screen with her semblance and saw Blaise sitting on one side of Lucius holding a bundle with a smile on his face, Lucia on the other side of Lucius with a smile on her face to while holding a similar bundle. Above the three was Marilyn resting her hands on Blaise and Lucia's shoulders while resting her chin on Lucius' head between his ears.
'I think he's going to be just fine,' Eva thought to herself as she opened her book and started to read.
I actually enjoyed this, I did. I just thought that since the chapters as of late had been dark I would just make a happy one where Blaise likes being an uncle. There are going to be tensions between RWBY and BLZE for a few chapters.
I also just realized, I haven't been following the RWBY cannon for a while now and that's pretty good for what I am planning. Since I might as well say this, this story is going to be off doing it's own thing for while since there is a definite time difference between Painting the Town and Extracurricular, and after Extracurricular there are no time breaks in the RWBY timeline before the Breach. Then we don't know what happens because of the few cliffhangers, and with me being a "Totally 100% Follow-The-Timeline" kind of OC writer I've actually been holding off from progressing for a while into the RWBY cannon. So basically the next I don't know how many chapters I will be making this story line sort of its own thing with references to the RWBY cannon, like with the next mission I am planning for BLZE and AQRS.
So what I am saying is that if my stories are getting boring, just tell me, and I will try to make it better. The best thing you guys can do is give me suggestions. I actually love it when someone comments on my work, just like with k wolf omega and his comment on Cardin. I don't even know where he is in reading this series, but I wonder what he will say when he finds out Cardin becomes a good guy.
I'm going off topic... well... did this even have a topic?
Whatever, back to the somewhat original topic. I would like it if you guys would send me some OC teams just for fun because I would like to somewhat repay you guys for actually taking the time to read this fanfic. You know how some OC writers do their own version of The Breach where their OC teams will help out teams RWBY and JNPR and after they all have happy fun times? Well I'm planning nothing like that. If I am able to figure out enough teams we can have something decently original and awesome, then something... awesome, but not as much after the thing. So if you would like to partake in this send me your OC team, and any ones I didn't use in the big project I could use in the second thing I am planning.
And I am rambling again... why do I do that?
Well anyway, the next few chapters I have mentioned a while ago we will be having the Black Book Society partaking in it. If you didn't get what it was when I said it a few chapters ago, it is basically the White Fang, but with humans.
Well, you guys have a good day, I still have some homework to do, *cries over chem paper*
