She was suddenly everywhere he looked. Having her as a lab partner was bad enough she spoke none stop and he found her piercing blue eyes to be a distraction. Now she was working in the mail room with her brother. She was currently on his floor he could smell the scent of her perfume and the sound of laughter as she joked with his brother.

Kagome came to deliver mail but spent the past five minutes chatting with inuyasha. Rising from his chair he approached the duo to end their inefficiency. "Inuyasha is this how you plan to start your new role in the company, lounging about with the underlings."

"This is why people hate you" inuyasha said rolling her eyes "stop calling our employees as underlings they don't like it."

"It's what they are if they become offend that is not my concern, where is my mail." he asked turning to kagome who stared at him wide eyed.

"Um, I have it here somewhere" she said sifting through the pile "I put it in order of office number, what's yours" she asked sheepishly

"I do not have the time for this. Both of you get back to work" with that he returned to his office. He wasn't alone for long as Kagura onigumo sauntered into his office with an exaggerated sway of her hips.

"Hello sweetie, I've come to discuss wedding plans" she said sitting in the seat in front of his desk. "I'm thinking a fairy tale style weeding I can wear a dress like Cinderella and ...

"Do whatever you want" he said cutting her off, he returned to his work ignoring the sadness that radiated off the red eyed woman. He knew she cared for him and their relationship meant more to her than it did to him but he couldn't find it in himself to care.

Moment's later kagome knocked his glass door and he waved her in.
"I have your mail." She said entering the office, she place the letter on his desk and was about to leave when Kagura spoke to her.

"What do you think of this dress" she asked "to over the top?"

"No, it's lovely almost like Cinderella's dress."

"That's what I'm going for" Kagura smiled setting her book down "I've always wanted a fairy tale wedding but my fiancé doesn't seem to pleased about it"

"You could always have a feudal theme wedding; the taisho's are one of the oldest families in Japan. There are kimonos in the museum that belonged do the old feudal lord of the taisho clans. You could wear something similar and I'm going to stop talking."

Sesshomaru realized he had been staring at her and sat back in his chair, he like the idea she proposed, it would bring them back to their roots and he knew his father would like the idea.

"No I like it" Kagura smiled

"As do I" he said looking into her blue eyes she blushed biting on her lower lip, the action was innocent but it sent a chill right through him. "You can go now."

She turned to leave once more when Kagura stopped her again, "I know we don't know each other well but I don't have many friends, how would you feel about helping me plan the wedding. I'd pay you of course."

"I don't know" the girl stammered "I'm sure you could find a more qualified planner."

He knew of her infatuation with him, the looks she would give him in class when she believed he didn't notice was enough to give her away but inuyasha had also informed him of her desires with a warning to stay away. He could not deny her beauty, her body was a perfect hour glass and her bust was rather large but it was her blue eyes he found most enticing. The most beautiful shade of blue, he felt like she was staring into his very soul when she looked at him.

Were he a different man he'd already have her in his bed running his hands over her firm body and tasting ever inch of her smooth skin. However he wasn't one to be unfaithful, happy or not he would stick to the arrangement made between his family and the onigumo.

Planning the wedding with Kagura would quickly dash kagome's hopes of being with him, he could see in her eyes that it was the last thing she wanted to do.

"You will assist kagura as part of your duties within the company. It will only be for two weeks and I will double your pay."

"Okay." she answered in a tone that made him wonder if she was about to cry

"You are dismissed." he said looking at his computer instead of the dejected look in her blue eyes. She walked out of his office without a word leaving him with his future wife.

"You didn't have to force her." kagura stated collecting her books "I wanted her help because I liked her idea but she's right I can find a professional to execute it."

"Then get one but she will still assist you"

"Why?"

"Do not question me kagura" he seethed sitting straight in his chair "just do as I say."

She huffed exiting his office leaving him in his most preferable state. Alone.

When he arrived home his mother waited for him in the study. She sat sipping tea in a longer chair while she read a thick novel. Tami taisho wore a yellow silk dress with a thick fur over her shoulder; she smiled when she saw him placing her book and cup down on the table in the center.

He was surprised to see her in the manor a place she steered away from since his father's affair with izayoi. Sesshomaru walked to a small table where several decanters and glass cups sat. He poured himself some whiskey then sat across from his mother.
"What are you doing here mother "

" I hear congratulations are in order, you'll soon be a married man" she reached across the table taking the glass from his hand and taking a sip "I didn't know you were dating. "

"There is very little you know about me
"I know I raised you to have a mind of your own and yet I hear you're nothing more than your fathers bitch" she smirked. He growled at her but she only laughed increasing his anger. She drained the drink handing him the glass. "Make me another my sweet prince" she asked using her childhood nickname for him.

He rose needing one of his own, sesshomaru would never admit to it but he missed his mother. It often felt as if she was his only ally.

"Don't let him do this to you, you'll never be happy" she said taking the glass he offered

"I don't need happiness I need the company"

"You are a man destined to form your own path sesshomaru you must remember that "she moved to sit beside him "you and I are similar our spirits can't be tamed we take what we want and we do not apologize."

"It's the only way, when the company is mine I will change how things are run but for now it's his and I must abide by his rules."

They sat in silence sipping on their drinks; his mother finished hers once again before she spoke. "I never loved him, I was quite young when we married he was throwing money at me and I had everything I could ever want, after you came along I felt stuck, I was so afraid of losing the life of luxury I'd come to know."

"Please tell me there is a point to this story."

"I thought he was in control but then I began to realized that he needed me a lot more than I needed him." she smirked exposing a sharp fan " then everything changed."

"The minute you got control he found another."

"And yet my house is bigger than this shoe box and I have more money than I can count. I may not be his wife anymore but I'm very much in control, in fact" she said pulling out her cell "I plan to exude that control tonight. Meet me at our spot." she narrated as she texted his father.

"Father is at dinner with izayoi and inuyasha, I highly doubt he'll respond" he said as her phone whistled.

"Be there in half an hour" she read out loud then laughed "I better go get ready" his mother rose making it to the door before she turned back " remember my sweet prince, he needs you more than you need him."
