Hello everyone, I know I said that the previous chapter was the last chapter of A BLZEing Remnant, and I was right. This is just an update and an Omake.
So, let's begin.
Tomorrow, I will be posting a whole new story, 'A BLZEing Remnant Year 2.' It will be a slowly updated one due to my preferences to go away from the RWBY story line, but to do that there'll need to be more episodes released so I can get a good base, but I figured 'Why not write the first chapter and see where that goes?'
I will be making new OC teams for the tournament for BLZE to face against, including one special team Kaimi and K Wolf know about.
So, yeah, BLZE will be back, tomorrow, during my study hall when I have time to load it.
In the meantime, enjoy this omake that took me a little whole to make.
-The Shadow People Rise-
After waking up the day after the whole ordeal with Orson, Blaise actually felt rested. Leaving his team's dorm early he went down to Vale for a morning stroll through the park. Eventually, he found himself helping out in downtown Vale with the cleanup from the attempted Gimm Invasion that was stopped by RWBY, JNPR, and CFVY.
Then after the cleanup was over Blaise decided to walk around Vale and check out the preparations for the Vytal Festival. After a few hours into his walk he made his way downtown. He was about to go into a nearby gas station for a snack before a burlap sack was pulled over his head.
Being dragged into a nearby alley Blaise's captors began to beat him savagely. Before he could even fight back one of his attackers put handcuffs around his wrists. Then they dragged him to their van close by and sped off.
Nearly half an hour later of sitting in the van it stopped. The captors then pulled Blaise out of said van and immediately he could hear and smell the distinct features of the docks. Being forcefully pushed forward into a warehouse Blaise could hear the sounds of hundreds of people indistinctly chattering. Then the room became quiet as Blaise was forced into a chair and heard loud footsteps approaching him.
Suddenly the burlap sack was pulled off his head and Blaise could not believe what he saw. He was sitting on a stage in front of what appeared to be a sea of silhouettes. Frozen in fear Blaise watched at the shadow people quieted down as the speaker tapped the mic and began his announcement
"Ahem," he began. "Friends, family, people of the shadow. For years we had been living in plain sight, simply ignored by the multicolored people. We had infiltrated every city, been there for every important event, lived in secret, and had done it without once being questioned. That was until there was one person who recognized us, this man," he gestured towards Blaise. "But now that we have him captive, we can finally get ready to being our final plan, but first," he said reaching inside his podium. As soon as he showed the crowd what he had the crowd began chanting 'one of us, one of us' over and over. "We have one final task to take care of." Popping off the cap, Blaise saw that it was a can of black spray paint.
"No, no, you can't do this," Blaise protested struggling against the handcuffs as the leader approached him. "You can't I will never be one of you. I'd rather die."
"Sure, that is what they all say," he replied as the black liquid sprayed on his face, "At first."
Shouting Blaise woke up in a cold sweat which was surprising since he was currently burning his sheets. Moments later Lapis burst into the room with a fire extinguisher spraying the white foam over Blaise effectively stopping the inferno from destroying the dorm building. Without saying anything or looking at another person Blaise exited the room still covered in foam and took the first airship to Vale he could find.
As soon as the plane landed Blaise walked towards the docks somehow managing to burn the foam on his body. Finding the warehouse from his dream Blaise instantly went pale. Peeking in the door he could only see a sea of blackness.
As Blaise closed the door he finally snapped letting out a silent quick chuckle.
"Hello, Lisa Lavender here with a special report. Hundreds dead consumed by a mysterious black inferno that destroyed a warehouse. Vale's Fire Department was able to eventually stop the fire from spreading to the other warehouses, but had failed to save the one warehouse and the people inside. Identification efforts have begun to hope to help discover the identities of these victims, but it had been proven to be difficult due to as one worker says, 'They all look exactly the same.'"
And there we go, now I have to make some final changes to the first chapter then go to bed.
Till tomorrow,
-J. Van A
