Chapter 11

~Maka's POV.~

I was sitting in classs waiting for the school bell to ring so i can go home rest alittle and then go see Soul. I've been going to see Soul everyday for 6 weeks since He got hurt.

Hopefully he will be able to come home soon. It's been pretty lonely at home without him. I keep thinking that everyday that I would turn around and he would be there smiling at me. But he's not there.

Tsubaki has come over a couple times to keep me company along with Liz and Patty. But it's just not the same without having Soul around. I love having him around. I don't feel alone when he's around. I feel like I belong somewhere. He has done so much for me. He's given me a home, friends, and he risked his life for me. He's even showed me that he's not like the other basturds out there. I guess you can say that I'm in love with him. Even though I don't trust men in the love department I think I can make an exception for him. I want to tell him so badly but I'm to afraid. I thought I would never fall in love or even have friends for that matter. I thought I wouldn't be able to trust anyone to even fall in love. But I guess I was wrong. All of this feels like a dream. If it is I don't want to ever wake up.

"Maka!"

"HUH!?"

I was shaken out of my thoughts when Tsubaki screamed my name.

"Maka the last bell had rung."

"It has!? I didn't hear it." I say while rubbing the back of my neck.

"Yes it did, a couple minutes ago. You've been sitting there doing nothing ever since the bell has rung. I tried calling your name a couple times but you didn't hear me so I had to scream your name."

"Oops sorry. I guess I was to deep in thought. Heh…"

"It's okay Maka. What were you thinking about that you were that deep in thought and couldn't here the bell?"

"I-it's nothing."

"It sure doesn't sound like nothing. It sounds like you are hiding something big. Now what is it?"

"I-it's nothing okay…"

"Come on Maka you can tell me anything. So please tell me." Tsubaki said with pleading eyes.

"Fine, but you can't tell anyone."

"What about Liz and Patty? Why can't we tell them?"

"Because they can't keep a secret. For an example, the were the ones who told everyone about Soul getting hurt."

"So it's that big of a secret that you can't tell them."

"Yeah…" Maka starts to blush alittle.

"Okay then I won't tell anybody. My lips are sealed!"

"Thanks Tsubaki."

"No problem Maka! Now can you please tell me the secret is."

"Okay but can it wait. I rather you come over to Soul an I's house. I don't want to risk anyone hearing me and then spreading it around the school."

"Yeah sure!" Tsubaki says with a smile.

Both Tsubaki and I gather all of our stuff and walk out of the school.

We both arrived at Mine and Souls house 10 minutes later. I set my stuff down and went to go make some tea.

After I finished making the tea I poured it and brought it over to the couch where Tsubaki was.

I handed her, her cup if tea. As soon as I sat down she spoke.

"Now can you tell me? Tsubaki asked.

"Yes."

I took a couple deep breathing before speaking.

"The secret is…"

Tsubaki was on the edge of her seat. She watched as I took a minute to continue my sentence.

"The secret is…I've got a crush on Soul…"

"WHAT!? IS IT FOR REAL!?" Tsubaki screamed loudly grabbing my shoulders and looking me in the eyes.

"Y-Yes…" I blushed madly While Tsubaki squealed loudly in my ears.

"You two would make such a cute couple!"

"R-Really?"

"OF COURSE!" Haven't you seen the way he acts around you? He used to never act like this around you but after you two kissed on Christmas he's been acting and looking at you differently. So I think he likes you back."

"I don't think he would like me Tsubaki…"

"MAKA! Stop doubting yourself! Why wouldn't he like a beautiful girl like you Maka? Soul would be so lucky to have you! You saw how he acted when he saw you in the beautiful dress that you were wearing the night of the dance. Plus not to mention the comment he gave you. So I'm betting 100% that he had a crush on you!"

"But I don't have enough courage to tell him…I'm to scared."

"Why?" Tsubaki asked.

"Because what if he doesn't like me back. What would I do then?"

"Oh Maka. If you keep thinking the bad things are going to happen if you tell him you'll never have the courage to tell him and you want to Don't you?"

"I know but what am I supposed to do I'm to scared…"

"Then maybe we should let him tell you himself."

"But what if that doesn't happen?"

"Oh It will Maka we'll make sure if it…"

~Souls POV.~

I've been stuck in the stupid hospital bed for 6 weeks And I'm hating every minute of it.

The food here is disgusting, I have to use these stupid bed pants just to take a damn leak, and worst of all it's so without Maka. She's been coming to see me in the hospital everyday after school since I was hurt.

I can't wait until I can get out of this stupid place so she doesn't have to take the time just to come over here. I bet she's always worrying about me in class and can't ever get anything done. I just want to be back at my house with her and not in a place filled with dieing or sick people. It's so not cool!

But thankfully I get out of this place in a week I can't wait for Maka to come so I can tell her. She's going to be so happy that I'm coming home. I guess all I can do right now is wait for her to get here.

"YAAAAHHHHHOOOOO! YOUR GOD IS HERE YOU CAN STOP YOU CRYING NOW!" Black*Star screamed.

"SHIT! WHY HIM OF ALL PEOPLE!"

Black*Star comes crashing through the door.

"BLACK*STAR! SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

"NO! IF IM GOING TO BE BETTER THEN GOD I HAVE TO BE HEARD!"

"Your not a DAMN god!"

"OF COURSE I AM!"

"Say whatever you want but you'll always be a ASSHOLE!"

"HOW DARE YOU CALL YOUR GOD AN ASSHOLE!"

"Like this…ASSHOLE!"

"YOUR SO LUCKY THAT YOUR IN THAT BED BECAUSE IF YOU WEREN'T I WOULD BE KICKING YOUR ASS!"

"No you wouldn't. You can beat me anyway."

"Yes I would! I'm way stronger then you!"

"No your not, Maka can probably kill you with one of her Maka-Chops to your head!"

"Fine once you get better I'm going to show you that I am way stronger then you! Im going to kick your ass!"

"Say whatever you want Black*Star you'll never beat me or Maka."

"Fine I'll show you once you get out of this hell hole that I can beat you!"

"Whatever Black*Star."

"Hey when are you getting out of this place anyway?"

"A week."

Cool, Maka probably be happy. You know she's been pretty lonely since you got yourself in this place. Tsubaki and the girls have been going over to your place and keeping her company. Speaking of which, Tsubaki is over there right now. She said that Maka had something she needed to tell her. Tsubaki said that Maka didn't want to say whatever that she was going to say at school because she didnt want to risk anyone hearing they're conversation."

"I wonder what Maka had to tell Tsubaki?"

"I don't know but all I know is that Tsubaki told me that she can't tell anyone one not even Liz and Patty."

"So it's that important that she can't even tell Liz and Paty?"

"Yep! That's what Tsubaki told me."

"Great now it's going to drive me nuts!"

"Why?"

"Because Maka would never keep a secret from Liz and Patty. She would tell them just like she would with Tsubaki."

"Well Tsubaki has been telling me that Maka's been acting strange lately."

"Like how?"

"Well she's always so deep in thought that she can't hear us so we have to shake her to get her attention. And when we ask her what she's thinking about she tried to change the subject and blushes a deep red. It makes me think that she's got something huge on her mind."

"And what do you think that is Black*Star?"

"I think that she's got a crush on someone!"

"What that impossible! She told me that she never falling inline because she can't trust anyone enough with her heart. She said that she's too afraid that she'll end up like her mother. But now that I think of it ever since the night I teased her about maybe having a crush on me she's been acting weird."

"YOU DONT THINK SHE LIKES YOU, DO YOU!?"

"It's a maybe."

"Do you think you like her back?"

"I don't know. I mean I love the way she smiles and I love how her eyes seem to sparkle when she happy."

"OOH, SOUL I THINK YOU LIKE MAKA! Black*Star teased.

"You know maybe I do. Maybe I do like Maka."

"YOU LIKE MAKA! YOU LIKE MAKA! YOU LIKE MAKA!" Black*Star repeated over and over.

"Yeah…I like Maka…"
