Chapter 16

The next day Crona and Maka were trying to get the courage to talk to each other. Finally Soul got fed up and dragged Maka over to Crona.

"Wait! Soul! I'm not ready!"

"Yes you are! You have to talk to Crona at some point and nows the time!"

"B-But!"

"No buts! Your going to talk to him!"

"Finee!" Maka pouted.

Soul chuckled and kissed her cheek. Maka blushed and walked over to Crona, after Soul let go of her. Maka walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. "Hey Crona"

Crona nearly jumped out of his skin when his shoulder was tapped. He turned around to see who tapped him. When he saw Maka he froze.

"Hey Crona" Maka said again.

"H-Hey M-Maka..." He replied.

"Um...I was wondering if you would like to hand out or something." Maka said nervously.

Crona thought about it, he knew what would happen if they became friends, but he also knew that it he didn't go along with Lady Arachne's plan he would be punished.

Crona sighed before nodding.

Maka smiled widely "okay! How about we study together later on?" She asked

"S-Sure:" Crona smiled a bit.

Maka smiled again and hugged him. Crona froze, he didn't really know how to deal with behind hugged like this. He's never been hugged, not even by his mother. He didn't know wether he should like it or not.

Soul saw the face Crona was Making and decided to step in.

"Hey Maka,I think you should let go it Crona." He said.

Maka looked at Crona before letting go. "Oops sorry Crona..." Maka blushed a bit.

"I-its okay.." He smiled a bit.

"Well we better get to class. We don't want to be late" Soul said.

"Yeah, lets go!"

Maka turned and Soul intertwined their hands. Maka smiled at him and he smiled back. Crona followed behind them watched Maka's every move: Crona wondered what it wod be like if he wasn't pretending to be friends with her.

It's been a couple months since Crona was forced to become friends with Maka. He hadn't gotten as close as Arachne had hope he would by now. So Arachne had to hold off on the plan.

Many more months went by and Crona still wasn't close enough to Maka. Arachne was beyond pissed that her plan wasn't going as planned. She had to hold off on the plan once again because of Crona. Before she knew it a year had passed by and still nothing. The plan kept having to be held off over and over. By then Arachne was more then pissed. Crona wasn't even trying to get close to Maka. So she decided to take matters into her own hands. She want going to wait any longer. She told Giriko, Free, Eruka, and Mosquito about her new plan.

~Meanwhile~

Maka's birthday was coming up. Maka hated her birthday, it was because her parents were always fighting and never paid any attention to her on her special day. Soul knew Maka hated her birthday but he was determined to make her special day the best say ever. Just like the Surprise christmas party he was going to throw her a surprise birthday party. He got the gang involved in his plan.

(Maka's POV)

I was dreading my birthday even more this year. I had a secret that I needed to tell Soul, but I was afraid to tell him. Soul and I had sex a month ago, it was the best night I out lives. But I had missed my period. I had secretly taken a test while Soul was out with the guys. The test came back positive. I was shocked, well more then shocked. I was terrified, I was still in high school and so was he. We weren't old enough to be parents. I was afraid of what Soul would say when I told him. I had to tell someone, so I called Tsubaki and told her to come over. Within ten minutes she was at our house.

"Maka, what's wrong?" She asked

I looked at her with tears in my eyes. "Tsubaki...I'm-I'm..."

"Your what?" She asked, worried.

"I'm pregnant!" I cried.

She gasped and quickly pulled me into a hug.

"P-Please don't tell Soul. I want to be the one who tells him"

Tsubaki nodded and rubbed my back trying to comfort me.

"When do you think your going to tell him?" She asked

"I don't know...! I'm afraid that he'll be mad at me!"

"Oh Maka! Soul could never be mad at you for something like this. He loves you and I bed he would lie to start a family with the love of his life."

"But we're to young! We're still in high school!"

"Maka, you and Soul will be graduating this year. You two can raise the baby together after you graduate."

"I don't get why this happened! Soul and I were do careful!"

"Sometimes these thing happen, even when your being careful."

I continued to cry, I didn't get why this was happening to me. and why it was happening right before my birthday.
