Chapter ２０ Part 1

As months went by Maka started to wonder if Soul was as excited as she was to be a parent. It all starts acouple days ago; Maka, Crona, Black Star, and Kid were all talking bout what gender the baby might be. Maka was really hoping for a baby Girl, the guys actually were hoping for a boy.

"Soul? What gender would you like our baby to be?" Maka asked.

Soul was deep in thought and he didn't even realize Maka was talking to him.

"Soul? SOULLLLL!?" Maka said louder as she poked his cheeks.

"Hm? What?"

"I asked you what gender you would like the baby to be?"

"Oh, um...girl I guess"

"You guess?"

"I don't know okay!" Soul blurted out.

Maka flinched and inched away, "Sorry for asking..." She whispered.

Soul realized what he had said and sighed, "listen Maka, I'm sorry. I'm just nervous about the baby."

"Why are you nervous?"

"I'm just scared that I might be a good father and I'm nervous about when you go into labor: I'm afraid that Arachne might take the baby, our baby away from us..."

Maka came close to him and wrapped her arms around him. "Please stop worrying so much. Try thinking about the positives not the negatives."

"It's hard when we are being captive in this Goddamn cell!" Soul growled in frustration.

"I know, kid and Black Star are trying to come up with a plan to get out of here. Maybe you should try helping too. We might have a shot getting out of here before our baby is born."

"Maka they've tried everything there's no way out..."

"We can't give up!"

"Maka you are due to have the baby in just two months! How on fucking earth are we going to come out with plan to get out of here before then!?"

"I don't know but we have to try!"

"We have! There's no way OUT!"

"Your giving up to easy!"

Soul sighed and buried his head in his hands, Maka sighed as well. "We'll find a way to get out.." She whispered before burying her head against him.

Soul lifted his head and rubbed Maka's back, "I'll try to help find a way out...I promise I won't let anything bad happen to our baby..." H said and kissed her head softly.

"I love you Maka."

"I love you too, Soul." She responded. Soul chuckled and pulled Maka onto his lap.

2 more months went by and Maka was due anyway. Arachne and her servants stopped beating on Maka but now her and the guys were all being guarded 24/7.

Soul had become very protective if Maka and his unborn baby: he knew he couldn't and wouldn't be able to find a way out of their cell. He couldn't when Maka could go into labor at any minute. She was already complaining about bring constantly uncomfortable. She could be in labor right now and now even know it.

"You sure your doing okay?" Soul asked.

"Yes I'm fine, stop worrying so much."

"I can't help it, I'm worried about you and the baby."

"Just relax..."

"I can't, you could go into labor at any minute, and what happened when you do? I don't know how to deliver a baby. And I'm guessing the guys don't either...well maybe Kid but I can't to be sure."

"I don't either but your going to have to try. It's not like we're in a hospital. Your just going to have to suck it up and help deliver our baby."

"I'll try.."

Maka smiled and rubbed her belly, their baby was kicking.

"Soul, the baby is kicking again."

Soul looked up and reached over to rest his hand ontop of her swollen belly.

"Wow...the baby really I kicking up a storm in there..."

"Yeah..." Maka smiled.

Soul leaned down and kissed the tip of her belly. "Hey there...this is your daddy talking. I want you to know that I'll never let anything bad happen to you, or your mommy. I'll protect you and your mother, no matter what. And...I'll love you Forever..." Said said with a smiled. This was the first time soul had such a sweet moment with their unborn child.

"Soul...that was so sweet."

Soul smiled and kissed Maka's belly one last time. "Don't worry Maka I won't let those Basturds do Anything to hurt you or our baby once he or she is born."

"I know, thank you." Maka smiled and kissed Soul softly on the lips.

"I love you." he whispered before he kissed her back.

It was that night when Maka went into labor. She was in a lot of pain. Soul did everything he could do to help her. He massaged her shoulders and rubbed her back, blotted the sweat off her forehead with his jacket. As time when by the pain only got worse and worse. Soul hated seeing Maka in so much pain. Kid, Black Star, and Crona We're right there helping Maka through it all.

"Maka you can do this, once the baby is born this will all be over." Soul whispered as he held her hand.

Soul let her grip is hand as hard and right as she wanted. He felt like he should be feeling atleast some of the pain she was feeling. After all he's not the one who's going through child birth.

"Alright Maka, you've got to keep pushing. Soul just don't look down here again okay..." Kid said

Soul had tried to deliver the baby himself but all the blood got to him. He turned into a chicken because of all the blood. He may act cool but he apparently can't deliver a baby without wanting to pass out.

So kid had to be the one to deliver the baby.

"On the count of three I want you to push...1...2...3"

Maka tightened her grip on Souls hand as she took a deep breath and pushed. "FUCK!" Maka cried out.

~Maka's Pov~

The pain went on for a long time. It hurt so badly but I knew that in the end the pain would be worth it. I had to do this for my baby...our baby. I felt bad for Soul, I was constantly screaming at him about how much he was an asshole. I didn't mean it, I was just screaming things because of the pain. All Soul was trying to do was encourage me, I was giving him such a hard time.

~Souls Pov~

It felt like the pushing and screaming went on for hours. I didn't know how much more I could take. Hearing Maka screaming in utter pain over and over again. I felt like I was about I pass out. Things around me began to get blurry and muffle. That was until I heard a small cry.

I quickly looked up to see Kit placing a small baby girl in Maka's Arms. I leaned forward to get a better look. The feeling of passing out was replaced by the feeling of wanting to protect: as I was leaning forward to wrap my arms around Maka and our newborn child, the door to our jail cell swung open. Arachne and many other men came in with guns and other weapons. The men came over and grabbed Kid, Black Star, and Crona.

"DON'T YOU DARE COME ANY CLOSER!" I yelled as I moved to stand in front of Maka. I took my shirt off and gave it to her to keep the baby warm. 8 wasn't going to let those bastards hurt Maka or our baby.

"Come any closer and I'll KILL YOU!"

"Ha! How? Your friend a have guns to their heads, so they can't help you, and you do t have any weapons like we do! We can kill you in a heartbeat'l Arachne laughed as she and her men came closer.

"I SAID DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!" I yelled loudly in anger.

My screaming did nothing, I really couldn't so anything. But as I saw a man trying to rip our baby from Maka's arms I felt something snap inside me. I growled and grabbed the man, throwing him across the room.

"IM GOING TO FUCKING KILL. YOU. ALL!" I screamed and as I was screaming there was a bright light or glow. That was coming from...Me...?
