Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Thank you to everyone who reviewed the last chapter, I know it feels like it's been forever since I've updated. My life has been a whole world of crazy recently and I've really struggled to find time to write. Hopefully, everything will calm down soon enough and I can get back to more regular updates.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. You're reviews and positive feedback and messages of continued support have what kept me wanting to write, when my mind has been so preoccupied with real life. Please, with a cherry on top, let me know your thoughts on this : )

"I feel like kicking Seth's teeth in," Dean sung, his face dark and serious as he and Athena walked into the arena that was hosting SummerSlam. "I'm gonna' rip his stinking hair out," he continued singing ominously. He chewed gum as he sauntered in, carrying a back pack over one shoulder.

"You're in a good mood considering you have a huge match tonight," Athena commented sarcastically. She smiled up at Dean, hoping to ease his obvious mood as they walked through the halls.

Dean replied without even looking her way. "Why wouldn't I be, Red? Tonight's the night I finally get to give that scumbag exactly what he deserves."

Dean had been waiting for this moment for what seemed like forever. He would get his revenge on that traitorous pig and he was going to enjoy every second of it. He couldn't wait to pummel him with his fists, to scratch and claw, to bite him until he bled, he couldn't wait to throw him into the waiting lumberjacks who would no doubt enjoying enacting their own revenge on the two toned haired man. He was going to make him cry, make him beg on his knees for forgiveness and then for a final piece of sick satisfaction he was going to curb stomp his face into oblivion.

He hated him. Hated him for making him believe they were brothers, hated him for throwing away everything they'd achieved as The Shield as if it were nothing, and hated him for having Athena before him.

Dean had started his relationship with Athena with the sole purpose of getting under Seth's skin, but the more time he spent with Athena, the more time she spent in his arms, was beginning to make his skin crawl at the thought of her with Seth. He'd never intended to start liking her; he'd seen this as an opportunity to rid himself of, what he had originally found, her irritating presence. But it hadn't taken long for him to change his mind about her, and now he certainly didn't want to get rid of her.

Dean wanted to silence Seth once and for all. He didn't want to see his smarmy smirk every time he came to work, and he most certainly didn't want Seth to keep telling Athena that he was using her.

Though he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy Seth's face every time he told him mid brawl that he was fucking Athena just to fuck with him.

"Oh, I got to go," Athena said pulling Dean from his thoughts. He stopped to look down at the flaming red head that was slipping her phone back into her pocket. "My gran and brother are here, I'm going to go meet them," she said softly.

"Okay," Dean said as she stepped forward and placed her hand gently on his trim waist.

Her smile faltered as she stared with wide blue eyes up at Dean. "If I don't see you before your match, please be careful."

"I always am, sweetheart," he teased.

She raised a brow sceptically. "Just-," she began before changing what she was going to say. "Good luck, not that you'll need it."

Athena stood on her tip toes and brushed the quickest of kisses against his lips before turning and heading down the corridor.

"Ey Red," Dean called after her; she turned though continued to take small steps backwards. "Good luck for your match. You'll be great."

"I always am, sweetheart," she quipped playfully mocking his earlier words.

Athena was ecstatic. She'd won her match against her good friend Naomi; the match had gone amazingly well and had been a competitive competition between two women that respected one another. The crowd had been really into it and Athena was sure she'd heard a faint 'this is awesome' chant from somewhere in the crowd; the match had been part of the SummerSlam kick off show, but she knew that it had been Pay-Per-View worthy and hoped that it would open up more opportunities for Naomi and herself in the near future.

Seeing her Grandmother and little brother in the front row had been amazing. After years of professional wrestling Athena knew she'd never tire of the electric crowds that filled her with adrenaline, especially when her family were there cheering for her.

She just hoped that Dean hadn't got too caught up in his pre-match work out to forget to watch her match.

Naomi and Athena walked through the curtain together, Naomi smiling widely with Athena even though she'd lost because their match had been so great.

"I don't think my back will ever be the same after that match," Naomi said still smiling as she held her lower back. "I'm supposed to be your friend; you could have gone easy on me!"

"Where's the fun in that?" Athena questioned playfully, feeling like she was on cloud nine. "I hope you didn't go easy on me?"

Naomi stretched her arms above her head. "Hell no."

The women made their way to the Diva's locker room together, going through every inch of their match, complimenting each other's ability and discussing things they both wished they could improve on. Athena almost felt idiotic as they made their way into the locker room she was still smiling so widely. Everything was coming together perfectly, her career was getting back on track and she knew after her performance over the last couple of months she'd be back in the title picture sooner rather than later, her contract had been renewed so she didn't have to worry about The Authority threatening her with that for at least another year, and her personal life was as near perfect as she could imagine it being.

Her relationship with Dean was flourishing and even though they'd only been seeing each other for a short period of time, her feelings for him were incredibly strong. Stronger than the feeling's she'd had for Seth had ever been. If you'd asked her six months ago, she wouldn't have been able to imagine Dean and herself ever having a real conversation, but now she couldn't think of anyone she'd rather talk to. It seemed if Dean wasn't making her blush, he was making her laugh. They had so much in common and spent hours listening to music together, watching movies and old wrestling matches or talking late into the night.

Dean had stayed several times at her apartment in Orlando and she'd been secretly thrilled the weekend before when one of his old friends had called him up and she'd overheard him tell them that 'he was staying at his girl's place.' Athena hadn't said anything to him about it, but she'd been bouncing inside at the words. She was his woman, and he was her man.

She knew she loved being called his girlfriend and at times she thought that she loved him too. Athena told herself it was way too soon to love him, but she knew she'd never felt the way she felt about him about anyone else. She hated being apart from him, when he would be in a different town and she'd have to sleep alone, every time he threw a glance her way her stomach would flip with excitement and the smallest of smiles could bring her to her knees. He lit up the darkest days, his happiness was infectious and he filled her thoughts whenever they were apart. She didn't know if it was love, but she knew she'd never felt it before and probably never would again.

By the time Athena had showered and changed it was coming up to the time of Dean's match so she packed away her belongings and made her way out to the main hallway, planning on watching the match from the Gorilla position and being there to greet Dean afterwards, regardless of the outcome.

As she rushed through the hallways a voice called out after her. "Attie!"

Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble were quickly making their way towards her; she narrowed her eyes at the use of her shortened name. Turning she went to continue walking when Joey spoke. "Hey, wait a minute. We've got something to show you."

"I don't have time for this," she sighed.

"You're going to want to see this," Jamie said, his accent thick, pushing an Ipad into her hands.

She shook her head. "Seriously, whatever it is-"

"Just watch it, you'll want to see it," Joey said, his face serious.

Athena let out a soft huff as she looked down at the Ipad and pressed play quickly. Her eyes scanned across the screen as she watched the footage play out in front of her.

"What the hell is this?" She questioned her voice breaking as she spoke.

Dean ran his hand through his sweaty hair as he slowly climbed down from the trainer's table; his jaw was clenched as he re-played his match over and over in his throbbing head. He'd had him. Seth 'Sell out' Rollins, had been his, and then Kane had fucked it all up for him. Again! First at Money in the Bank, he'd helped Seth win the briefcase when the match had been Dean's, and now he'd interrupted the pin that was surely going to get to three, and given Seth time to grab his precious golden briefcase to smash Dean across the head with it.

His fist clenched and unclenched at his side. If Seth thought it was over, he really didn't know what was coming for him. He'd beat him twice as badly the next night on Raw, and he'd take down Kane too if he got in his way again.

Dean opened the door and stepped outside to find Athena standing there with her arms folded across her chest, an Ipad clutched tightly within them, her eyes were massive and watery and her usual plump lips were pushed together into a tight thin line.

"What?" Dean said, instantly grimacing from the pain his head. "What you lookin' at me like that for? You look as if you're the one who just got screwed," he spat, more harshly than he intended.

Athena shook her head as a small squeak pushed through her pursed mouth.

"You look like you're going to cry," Dean said rubbing the back of his neck. "Are you upset over what that scumbag did to me? I'm fine, not a scratch on me," he forced out a smile. He moved forward a foot reaching out to put his hand on Athena's waist but she quickly jerked away from him. "What's wrong?"

Athena wet her dry lips. " 'She's an alright piece of ass' ," Dean instantly stood straighter. " 'But if it didn't hurt you so much, Seth, I'd have thrown her in the trash a long time ago'. Her voice was almost squeaking towards the end and her lip quivered with every breath. "That sound familiar, Dean?!" She pushed the Ipad into his hands before turning and marching away.

Dean looked down at the screen, already knowing what he was going to see. He'd spat those exact words at a house show at Seth, he'd said a lot of things degrading things about Athena, in an attempt to taunt Seth as he was being pulled off him after attacking him backstage. Dean had been too in the moment to see anyone but Seth, he hadn't seen anyone filming it. He should have known Seth would have had his two idiot goons just waiting for an opportunity to catch him on film taunting Seth with the reason he'd hooked up with Athena.

"Athena wait," Dean yelled, calling her by her real name in person for the first time. He stormed forward, catching up with her quickly. "Wait!" He said, reaching out and spinning her to face him.

"Don't touch me," she screamed yanking her hand away from him, her shrill voice grabbing the attention of everyone near them. "I asked you if Seth was right about you using me and said no. You made me feel like the bad guy for even asking," she poked at her chest irately as salty tears stained her blustered cheeks. "Congratulations Ambrose, you really are the scumbag everyone thinks you are." Turning she walked away, brushing at her tears as they fell, leaving Dean standing speechless and alone.
