Chapter 3: Game On.

Getting up, mindlessly fixing the buttons on his shirt, straightening his sleeves and running his fingers through his hair, eyes closed, fidgeting with himself, heading to the club room door, as he unlocks the club room door his head is ringing from Tamaki's pounding.
"Oh it is simply just tragic Kyoya!" Tamaki almost jumping in Kyoya's arms. "I'm almost all the way home and realized I don't have my bag. I couldn't image what it would have been like if I hadn't realized it till morning. The teachers being so disappointed with me for not doing my schoolwork. Whatever would I have done with myself?" Tamaki waving around his arms telling his dramatic tale. Rolling his eyes with a sigh Kyoya could only think of one response.
"Did you have your phone on you?" Tamaki blankly staring at Kyoya not fully understanding.
"Of course I did. Why?" Taking a deep breath Kyoya looked at him adjusting the cold facade over his face.
"You idiot. I could have dropped your bag off had you just called." Tamaki stepping back just a little scared.
"I'm sorry Kyoya I didn't mean to upset you. I just...wait where are your glasses? Did you break them again?" Tamaki looking at his best friend with slight concern.
'Damn when did that happen. I don't even remember when I took them off. After Haruhi had started pleaa..STOP IT. This is not the time nor place to start thinking about that right now. Where did she run off too again? Oh right the changing room..'
"Kyoya I think I'm going to check the changing room for my bag it doesn't seem to be out here."
'Damn him. I have to do something. I am not ready for this game of ours to end yet.'
"Tamaki NO!" Turning around with a little shock at the command in Kyoya's voice.
"I will checking in there. You should check in the kitchen. That is where you were last before you had left for the day. And you would know what you did in that room more than I would."
"I guess your right Kyoya." Tamaki skipping over, humming a light tune with to go with the theme of next club dress up event that was coming soon. Signing as Kyoya walked over to the table, finding his glasses under his table. All he could hear was noise of clattering objects that he didn't notice Haruhi sneaking towards the door.
"Pssst." Looking up Kyoya eyes were glued to the figure that was half way out the door. Staring into each others eyes, Haruhi then gave a smile but it was not an ordinary smile, not her host smile either it was a genuine smile. Haruhi winked and blew a kiss, mouthing the words that would ring in Kyoya's ears all night and probably for the next week.
'Tag. Your. It.' A little giggle coming from Haruhi as she shut the door behind her. Relaxing her shoulders and letting a sigh of relief wash over her.
'Mission accomplished. That should show him to not ignore me. It actually went a lot better than I would have thought it would. This could be interesting, messing with Kyoya-senpai, it's not like he has feelings for me, me being poor, without title and class. Damn rich bastards. If anything he would charge me to keep playing, adding onto my debt, although playing these little games could be quite fun. He did seem to be enjoying himself, I think... I wonder where his boundaries lie, where do my boundaries even end? I wonder if Tamaki-senpai hadn't come in where things would have ended up. Oh crap Tamaki-senpai, I have to get out of here before he sees me. Because I will never be able to explain this nor would I want to.'
As Haruhi was leaving Ouran grounds she heard her phone go off but decided to ignore it wanting to get home as soon as possible to not chance running into any of her senpais.

After sending a text to Haruhi Kyoya sighed and rubbed his head walking over to plop himself on the couch only to sit atop of something hard. Getting up to look at the object in question only made him more annoyed.
"Tamaki you idiot, your bag is right here on the couch." Holding it towards the kitchen. After a sudden crash of dishes Tamaki peaks his head out the door.
"OH! Kyoya so it is! Right here in front of our eyes this whole time." Tamaki prancing over to him.
"Oh mon ami! I don't know what I could do to repay you. I may have also broken a few things in the kitchen." Tamaki said while backing away slowly fearing the Dark Lord would show his face.
'Oh you're not going to pay for this, a certain big brown eyed brunette seductress will be paying for all your damages. This is her fault. But mostly your stupid fault Tamaki. You and your stupid bag.'
"Just go home Tamaki." Kyoya said flatly looking up. Tamaki headed to the door with a smile and wave.
"See you tomorrow mon ami." He was finally gone. Checking his phone again.
'Still no reply.' Collecting all his things Kyoya called his car and went home with much on his mind, and much to think about.

As the early morning sun rays peaked through her window Haruhi stretched, turning on her side to look at the ever looming clock counting down till she would have to leave her warm comfy bed. There is went as if she could see the last seconds counting down….3…2…1 and then the sound of her obnoxious alarm filled the room. With a heavy sigh and a hard slap, Haruhi sat up and stared at her cell phone.
"Are you sure this is a game you want to play?" His words haunted her the whole way home last night. This was her chance to get out scotch free, he was giving her an out. Did she want to play? How far would they go? How far did she want to go? What did she want out of this? Did Kyoya think of her as something? Or was she just and intriguing notion in her own way, simply a form of entertainment for him. What was she thinking, it's just Kyoya-senpai, the Dark Lord, he who is incapable of feelings and only lusts for money and power, although she did feel something else poking at her last night. Then it came to her that is what this was, this game would be just purely physical, a game to see who could push the other further, who would break first? No feelings involved, a game of tag, or cat and mouse.
That was it, she had talked to herself into it all morning, showered, dressed and now heading off to school. With a smile she put her phone in her pocket, it was going to be an interesting day.

The maids dreaded this time every morning, time to wake the young master. Taking two big gulps the two maids headed in the room, one to open the curtains and one to poke the beast. Clearing her throat.
"Master Kyoya it is time to awake." The curtains fly open and the sun shines thought out the whole room. Taking three steps back she awaited the dark aura that soon followed. When nothing happened she tried again.
"Master Kyoya it is time got you to get up for school." He stirred, and they jumped back in fear.
"Get out!" was all he said, dark aura surrounding them threatening to engulf them should they not heed his words.
"Yes sir, breakfast will be ready shortly." And they left, faster than they came.
Kyoya laid in bed starring at the ceiling, with a deep sigh, thoughts still drifting to the previous night. What was he doing? More importantly what were they going to do? Now that he had had a taste did he want to give it up? The sweetness that had been Haruhi's lips. What did he want from this? Her?
Kyoya looked over to the night stand only to stare at his phone with not a single notification on it.
"And still not reply." She didn't want him, he wasn't good enough for her, last night had been a one night Cinderella story, and Tamaki had been the stupid clock. Now all he had left was the lingering dream.
Kyoya dragged himself up and headed for the cold shower he knew he would need to get through the day. It was after he had adorned his uniform and headed to breakfast that his phone went off, stopping in place and reading the text over and over did he finally comprehend what it meant.
"Only if you're not afraid to lose." She had done it to him again.

On the train to school. Haruhi's phone made a ding, and without even thinking twice she opened the message.
"We shall see." That was it the game on.

Hello everyone! ^_^ I apologize for the long term absence. This chapter has been in my head for a long time, but I just never had the time to actually type it out. You all know the usual life stuff gets in the way. I also know this is a short one but it needed it for the transition into the good stuff I feel. And if it pleases you to know I have already started the next chapter.
Please do let me know what you think in the comments, the alerts of people following and commenting on this have kept me going.
