Author's Note- HOLY CRAP I AM LEGIT THE WORST PERSON EVER! How this story has gotten more views and follows on it I certainly have no clue… But thank you for believing in the story and myself, knowing there are still people out there who want to read it makes my day. It's been an excessive amount of time since the last time I typed up a story and I'm sorry. Honestly between having no time I grew lazy and decided to drop the story, I mean no one was reading so why should I continue to write something that no one wants? But then some awesome people followed and favorited the story? I was shell shocked certainly, but this chapter is dedicated to those who have recently followed/favorite the story. Also sorry for the long wait, and enjoy hopefully. Also I have no idea where this chapter is going to go, because I have absolutely no plan.
Eragon POV-
Have you ever woken up, and you can immediately tell when something is wrong? That's how I woke up, on the day we refer to as Saphira's rampage. I was the only one in the room when I woke up which was odd in of itself as my dragon and I always travel together around the elven city, especially since Max has been out of commission. After I got ready for the day I got up and just wandered the city, until I heard some extremely loud dragon roars. Racing towards the scene I saw Saphira and Midnight duking it out in the sky, and I couldn't connect with either of them. But what caught my attention for the most part was a small object falling in the sky. As it came closer I realized the object was actually Max freefalling in midair, with no dragon support anywhere near. Summoning up the energy that was required for stopping her I shouted "Letta" and I could feel my energy dissipating very quickly, lowering her to me slowly I released the spell and I ran with her in my arms towards Oromis' house. When I arrived I quickly explained the situation to him and he sent Glaedr off to end the fight between the two dragons.
After he left however Max started to shake and convulse in my arms so Oromis and I ran inside and laid her on the table, and what we saw was one of the strangest things I've seen yet. This once human girl was now an elf; I was transformed like Max at the ceremony but not to this degree. Her hair, which was once short, was now halfway done her back, and her face was even more defined than ever. Her face, which was once, so freckled was pure white, almost as pale as snow, and even though her eyes were closed there was a very noticeable slant to them that was not there before. She no longer looked like the girl I loved, and yet it was her, and in that instant I fell even deeper in this hole I've been digging since I met this girl, this girl who attracted danger like a magnet.
As I came upon the realization though she started to shine brighter than the sun, and I heard her scream as though knives had stabbed her all over her body. When the light finally died down and I looked upon her once more there were two noticeable changes, the first being a brand upon her upper arm that had to dragons interlocking with each other, one silver the other one being green. And upon her back were two huge wings, they were brown with speckles of white and black all over, and unlike dragon wings, these were feathered. They had to be at least the length of two men, and they looked very powerful. As another minute passed by the light came again and the only sign of them existing was the brand, and a single feather that was left on the table.
I had no idea what happened but as I looked over at my mentor he wasn't staring at the feather he was staring at the brand on her arm. He looked extremely worried and panicked and in that moment I knew that something big was going on, bigger than even the war, for this girl who appeared from nowhere almost 8 months ago, was not as ordinary as she seemed, and as much as I loved her, I couldn't help but fear her as well.
Unknown POV-
"Everything's going to plan, the girl is growing in power, the old man knows it's almost time, and the boy is almost ready for his destiny. Unfortunately for the poor girl she has the two most powerful but stupid gods on her side, and all they want is for the prophecy too come true. But that must not happen if both worlds will survive, for if the prophecy is followed, the girl will die a most tragic death, side by side with her dragon."
2nd Author's Note- sorry for the short chapter but I needed to have a filler to help explain what's happening with Eragon. For the record I'm sorry he is OOC but I can't help it I haven't read the books in like four or five years now so maybe I'll read them to get his character more? Probably not though my story, my take on the character. Bye for now I hope it's no another year before I actually write a chapter sorry for any typos or grammar faults.
DISCLAIMER-I do not own either of these individual stories I am not male and I don't got any money. I am almost 100% positive I am a hormonal teenage girl.
