After a long awkward silence Mag left the room to talk about my current health situation to Graverobber or GR as
his friends were calling him.
A day has passed since everything started and so far everything was going excitingly well although the downside
was that I currently couldn't move for possible a whole week because of being shot multiple times...it's a long
story.
I sat up in bed staring at the ceiling, there was nothing to do in this room but play chess and I was completely
sure that I didn't not want to play that at all even if Mag did tutor me for free...although it would be wonderful
to hear her voice for hours teaching me...hmm maybe.
My currently worthless right arm was being worthless by simply laying there, before Mag was massaging it which
released me of some of my pain and numbness that I felt from some sort of medication, a small nagging part of me
screamed that it was Zydrate and not long I would be addicted to it like Amber.
That thought scared me...I did NOT want to end up like her, having sex with Zydrate dealers just to get a fix right
after surgery like some worthless beggar, nor did I want to put my body through multiple surgeries like she always
did to hers.
My stare switched to the book shelf filled with books, many seemed to be repeats or fakes, just something to fill
it up and feel homey if anything, I wouldn't be surprised if many were fake.
I forced my legs over the edge of the bed, my hands gripped the bed for dear life as I forced myself up, I wobbled
to the book shelf and laid my body on the shelf groaning in pain.
I reached for the middle shelf and for the only book with a destroyed spine with no title on the side, I pulled it
downward and suddenly and surprisingly the shelf started to move and spun me into a different area behind the wall
of the room.
I dropped without any warnings and slid down a random slid, it was hard to hold back any screams of terror as I was
swallowed by the darkness and lead to some unknown place.
Finally I stopped and rolled onto a mattress where I laid for who knows how long groaning...'why did I have to
touch the freaking book case?...why?'
Only I would be dumb enough to trust that the only book like that would be perfectly normal, I should have just
picked up the book about the history of some city.
The only source of light I had was from some hole above me that was freely open allowing the cold air to sweep in
and make my skin get goosebumps and there was little sun provided by the human sized hole.
"H-hello? anyone there?" I called out hoping someone was down here with me, suddenly more than a dozen lights lit
up, I closed my eyes from the sudden brightness, my eyes fluttered open as I heard something close, looking up I
found the man hole closed by some metal plate.
I was now surrounded by about 40 computers that surrounded the slide in multiple circles and levels, I fixed my wig
and stood up from the mattress as much as it pained me to just breathe at the moment.
Each computer started up one by one until finally the main and biggest one lit up as well, I limped toward it
"hello?" was this thing voice activated? "Person unknown, Identification needed, Please state name and status."
"Shilo Wallace...friendly?" what did...status mean? "Identifying...Shilo Wallace...Shilo Wallace found, do you
wish to add Shilo Wallace to files?" I stared at the computer "Yes?" What on earth am I getting myself into?
"File of Shilo Wallace added, Welcome Shilo, What do you request of me?" the computer waited for my response as
maybe two minutes passed...did I just get myself into this underground business by doing that? "I want to know how
to get back to the surface."
A small ding echoed throughout the white room, to my far left there was an elevator whose doors were wide open
"Please take the nearest elevator to your destination, enjoy the ride to Base 1 Shilo Wallace, let me know if
there is anything else you require" the robotic voice chirped as if it was happy to assist me.
"Could you help me out with my health problems?" claws and robot like arms dangled from the ceiling, one held a
scanner that scanned me from top to bottom "Gun shot wound to right shoulder...Damage percentage out of 100: 10%,
Gun shot wound to left leg...Damage percentage out of 100: 34%, Gun shot wound to right leg...Damage percentage out
of 100: 45%. Overall percentage out of 100: 89%."
"Current choices: Zydrate, First aid, Armor, or call for help" The choices appeared on the large screen as if it
wanted to make sure I not only heard them right but I could see them so it wouldn't waste it's time being
repeated.
"Armor?" It felt more like question rather than a command to me but the computer responded anyway with a small
click.
This is the part that I was completely unsure about putting into here but after awhile I decided...why not, let's catch a glimpse of part of the underground business, sure it's not a Zydrate part...but that may or may not show up later, but for now this is part of it! Why is there a slide in a room...isn't that childish? Well if someone was trying to take over your store and you have to evac I can assure you that you wouldn't mind having to go down a slide. Why does Shilo go on with the computer although her mind is currently telling her she may have just done something she might really regret later? Hell...if I was a teen locked up all my life, I was supposed to stay in bed for a few weeks and I got to talk to a computer that responded to my every command...I would sorta "abuse" it for a bit as well. I felt that that was completely in her character to just decide to keep going with it. Also why the badass computer? I thought their technology could handle it so I thought why not. Until then.
