A/N: Sorry about a MASSIVE delay in uploading - emphasising the word massive there. I've just been really busy and I've had suffered a mild case of writers block. I don't even know if this is what you all want...I had no idea what to write about so I've decided to start with this and see how I could carry on the story. This won't be the last chapter of this story, if it was I would've gave you a warning. If I do do another FF, it would probably be AU.
A/N 2: If I can't think of anything to write about after this chapter, I will be taking the first chapter from my Valentine's Day story. If you haven't read it already, then I wouldn't read it now because I expect no one would want to read any of my chapters twice... :)
A/N 3: Any suggestions on what you would want me to write about, message me or put it in the reviews section:) (I don't think I'm very good at smut..)
A/N 4: I've skipped out quite a few of the animals otherwise we would be there for an age..
A/N 5: I've been on Work experience in Southampton this week so been quite busy (it's about 2 hours away from me)
A/N 6: Sorry to keep you waiting, but I have created a poll if anyone wants to have a go?
10am...
Charles was already dressed and was starting to eat his breakfast when he heard the shower turn on. By the time Charles finished eating his breakfast and turned on the radio to Capital FM, he could hear a pair of small feet walking around the landing, "where are my clothes?"
"In your drawer." He said loudly, "as always." He said quieter then before. Just as Charles finished that sentence, the doorbell rang, "Coming!"
He opened the door, "I'm so glad you could come Molls. Sam has been dying to meet you." Charles full-on kissed Molly before she could say anything, "I missed you Molls."
"It's only been two bleedin' days! And anyway, what are the plans?"
"I know it's 'only been two bleedin' days!'" He said in a cockney accent which earned him a punch on the arm. Charles stepped to the side of the door to let Molly in. She took her grey Nike Roshe's off and Charles took off her jacket.
"Oi Charles! You didn't answer my question."
"I know I didn't, because it's a secret." Charles kissed her cheek, "do you want a drink?"
"Nah I don't want a drink. But you know I don't like sur-" Molly was cut off by Sam's voice.
"Daaaad!" He shouted loudly, "can't find any trousers!"
"Look in your wardrobe!"
Charles could hear feet plodding around a bedroom, "oh yeah, thank you daddy."
"Kids. What are they like eh?" Charles said.
"You wanna come an' live at mine for a week. There's shitloads of that."
"Can't wait for it Molls."
"I was only joking. You don't wanna come to mine."
"You sure?"
"Pretty sure. But anyway, can't you give me a teeny weeny clue?"
"I'll give you two but I don't know how useful you'll find them."
"Go for it!"
"Well first, me and you are going to the hospital, after we have dropped Sam off at Mum and Dad's. Then me, you and Sam are having a day out somewhere."
"Why are we going to the hospit-" Molly stopped mid-word, "it's not today is it?" Charles nodded, "bloody hell! That's gone quick."
"To you it might have done. But I've booked an appointment for 10 at the RUH. So we have about 5 minutes before we have to leave." Charles cleared his throat, "Sam! Are you ready?"
"Just coming daddy!" Feet came plodding down the stairs, "is Molly here?"
"Yeah. She's been waiting to meet you."
Sam walked through the door towards Molly and Molly crouched down to him, "Hi Molly! I'm Sam."
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Sam!" Molly shook his hand, "are you ready to have a fun day out?"
"Yeah! Can't wait! Do you know where we are going Molly?"
"I don't I'm afraid buddy."
"Owwwww."
"We are going to drop you off at Mummy's for a couple of hours while me and Molly go out somewhere."
"Alright then." Sam stared at Molly's arm, "why do you have a cast for?"
"Well, when I was with your dad in Afghan, I got injured. So I've had to wear this for a few weeks but it's getting removed today!"
"Will you have a scar? If you do can I see it? Pleaseeeeee!" Sam was getting a bit over excited.
"Maybe buddy. We will see eh?"
"Yeahhh!" Molly laughed at Sam's reply
"Right, let's get moving!" Charles walked past them and grabbed the keys off the coat rack. Molly and Sam followed him through the hallway and got their shoes on, "got everything Scamp?"
"Yes daddy." Sam nodded wildly.
They walked out the front door, Molly and Sam walked to the car whilst Charles was locking the door. When Molly and Sam reached the car, he unlocked it for them and jogged over to the drivers side.
1 hour later...
"Cor, this feels proper weird now! I can actually move my arm." Molly was swinging her arm round in circles.
"Yeah. That's what tends to happen when a cast is removed." Charles said sarcastically.
Molly said jokingly, "Shut it you cockwomble!" Charles raised his hands in defence.
"Right, we need to get Sam then we will be going off on an adventure!"
"Please tell me Charles! I won't tell Sam, promise."
Charles thought sarcastically for a while, "you'll find out when we get there." Molly pulled a sad face with 'puppy dog eyes', "that's not going to work on me Molls."
Molly sighed in defeat, "touché." They left the hospital and got into Charles' car. He turned the engine on and they made their way to Rebecca's to pick up Sam. A few minutes later, Sam got into the car with his help from Charles.
"Do you have a scar Molly?" Sam questioned.
"I do mate yeah."
"Can I see it? Pleaseeee!"
"When we get back to yours maybe." Sam put on puppy dog eyes and Charles laughed.
"Sorry mate."
About 35 minutes later...
"I think I know where we are going!" Sam started bouncing up and down on the seat in the back of Charles' car.
"Where's that then Sam?" Molly turned round to face Sam.
"Longleat!" Sam put a massive smile on his face.
"Is it true, Charles?" Molly turned back around to face Charles and he winked at Molly, "well done Sam!" Sam couldn't stop a smile growing on his face.
Charles drove round the round-a-bout and indicated to go towards Longleat, Molly and Sam cheered with excitement.
"I've always wanted to go here!" Molly's smile was the biggest Charles had probably seen so far, he hoped that he could keep that smile on her face throughout their lives.
Charles drove the car into a car parking space and turned off the engine. He opened up his door whilst Molly was taking off her seatbelt and opened her door for her, "thanks." She said as she stepped out.
Molly was wearing skinny jeans with a blue dip-dyed Superdry vest and a pair of bright orange Superdry sunglasses. She was also wearing her grey Roshe's. Charles was wearing a pair of chino shorts and a dip-dyed blue, purple and white tshirt; also a pair of red vans and black and blue ray-bans. Sam was wearing jeans and a smart polo shirt with a pair of black and white vans and a mini version of Charles' sunglasses.
"Where do you want to go first Sam? Wallaby Walk or do you want to walk with the Lemurs?"
"Wallaby Walk!" Sam jumped up and down excitedly.
Charles chuckled, "alright then Scamp." Charles took hold of Sam's hand and Sam took Molly's hand. Charles looked at Molly, smiled and winked.
They carried on walking until they reached the steep slope of Wallaby Walk, "I can't get up that Dad!"
"Come here then Scamp." Charles lifted Sam on his shoulders. Once Sam was up safely, he took Molly's hand and they walked up the steep slope.
"Look at that one Sam!" Molly pointed out a wallaby that was urinating on the back of someone's legs.
Sam put his hand over his mouth and tried to stop himself from laughing, "Look Dad!" Sam also pointed out the wallaby.
"Yeah. Don't think that man will be very happy." Charles chuckled and looked down at Molly.
"You're funny Molly!" Molly stuck her tongue out at Sam and he tried to stop himself from laughing again.
Molly whispered into Charles' ear, "he's a good kid."
Charles smiled in reply and winked, "right Sam, that's it for the wallaby walk now. Want to walk with the lemurs?"
"Yeah! Can you put me down now?" Charles put Sam down, "I'll race you Molly and Daddy?"
"Sure. I bet I'll beat you!" Molly released her grip from Charles' hand.
"Bet you won't! 3, 2, 1 go!" Sam started running down the hill, but Charles had hold of Molly so she couldn't start. Charles then turned Molly around, released his grip and started running so he and Sam had a headstart.
Molly started to run, following them down the hill, "that's unfair! I've just got back from an injury!" Molly tried her hardest to run past Charles, but he was significantly fitter than her because he has been in the army longer. Charles was level with Sam now and started jogging to Sam's running pace until Molly caught up with them both.
"Stop!" Sam stopped and pointed to something behind them, "Look!" Molly and Charles both turned round, but didn't realise they were being tricked by Sam.
"What's that Sam?" Molly was trying to find what Sam was talking about, "can you see anything Charles?"
"Nope." Charles turned around, "what are you-"
When Charles turned round, he paused mid-sentence trying to find Sam. Molly turned around to see why Charles stopped mid-sentence. Then she finally realised what happened, "cheeky bugger!" She spotted Sam at the bottom of the hill, pulling faces at them, "Oi Sam! You cheeky monkey!"
Molly and Charles both set off as fast as they could to try and beat each other, but Charles beat Molly by just an inch, "unlucky Molls. Maybe next time."
Sam walked a bit ahead of them to show Molly where you could walk with Lemurs and Molly put her 2 fingers up at Charles and he stuck his tongue out at her. They caught up with Sam and he led the way through the windy path to see the Lemurs. They spent about 5 minutes taking photos of them and listening to a zookeeper when Sam got bored and he asked to leave. So they left the lemurs and got back into the car to go to the safari park.
They drove round a few of the animal enclosures and when they got to the monkey enclosure, they enjoyed that a lot. 4 monkeys were on Charles' car, Molly and Sam were so happy but Charles kept saying that they were going to get his car muddy as it had only recently been cleaned, "stop being grumpy and liven up a bit!" Molly slapped Charles on the arm.
"This car has only just been cleaned!"
"Well you shouldn't have cleaned it then!" Molly then muttered to herself, "muppet" which Sam must have heard because he started laughing as well. Charles just shook his head.
After they left the monkey enclosure, they arrived at the deer enclosure where a zoo keeper was selling deer food. Charles all brought them a pot and they carried on driving until they got closer to deers. Charles winded down the windows and they all stuck their hands out. Only one deer came to Charles but two came to Sam. Molly had one deer that was going to eat food off her but she was too scared to put her hand out, incase she got bitten. Charles took his seatbelt off and lent over to Molly, took her arm and placed it out the window; Molly kept trying to take her hand away but Charles was putting too much force on her arm for her to do so. The deer then came back to her hand and took the food off her, Molly tried not to laugh, "see, it wasn't that bad was it?"
"No, but I ain't doing that again. Their tongues are weird!"
"It's a deer for goodness sake! Just do it for me yeah?"
Molly sighed in defeat, "alright then." Molly put her hand out the window and closed her eyes while the deer took the food from her hand, "all done! Thank fu- thank you for that!" Charles looked at Molly and she mouthed 'sorry' back at him.
After that, they visited the other animals and the last animals were the lions and lionesses which Molly described as 'bloody beautiful creatures'.
Charles parked the car in the car park and they walked round the Longleat centre. Sam begged them to go in King Arthur's Mirror Maze, so they did. In the end, Molly went off with Sam to a different way to Charles and they lost each other. Charles got through the maze before they both did and was waiting for about 5 minutes for them to come out but they never did, so Charles rang Molly, "Molls, where the hell are you?"
"I don't know. I think we are a bit lost and Sam's has a few bruises on his face where he walked into a few mirrors."
"You must be able to get out, it's not hard!"
"Well for us it is!"
"Do you want me to come back in and get you?"
"Sounds good."
"See you in a bit then hopefully." Charles ended the call and went back into the maze to find Molly and Sam.
About 10 seconds later, he found them touching mirrors to see which way was the right way out, "it didn't take me long to find you two."
"Sorry, we got lost."
"Can we take some selfies please?" Sam's voice popped up behind Molly.
"That's a good idea mate!" Molly pulled out her phone from her pocket, "you joining in Charles?"
"Why not."
He walked behind Molly and rested the underneath of his neck on her head whilst Sam was stood in front of Molly, pulling a funny face. For the next one Sam was on Charles' shoulder and Charles had his arm wrapped around Molly's waist.
"I want to go see the bats now!" Sam said. Charles then led them out of the maze, making sure not to lose any of them.
They walked through the bat cave and then they walked through the meerkat enclosure. Sam then wanted to hold a tarantula and a corn snake, which Molly said she'd stay away from. Sam held the animals then Molly wanted to go in to the hedge maze, which they did but then got lost again. Charles and Molly had to use their co-ordination that they learnt from being in the army. They eventually made their way to the top and they overlooked the centre of Longleat. Charles took a few photos of Molly and Sam and in turn, Molly took a few photos of Charles and Sam until an elderly woman walked towards them and said, "would you like me to take a photo for you?"
"Yes please." Molly handed the woman the camera and then said, "you're a lovely family."
"Oh we-we aren't family. This is my boyfriend and his son, we met in the army."
"Oh, how wonderful!" She then handed back the camera to Molly and they looked at each other oddly and just shrugged. They then found their way out and wanted to go on the boat to feed the seals and see Nico the gorilla, but the boat ride was shut as there was a faulty with both the boats. Instead, they caught the train and went to the enclosure where you could touch stingrays and walk with penguins.
Molly wanted to touch the stingray but was against too scared to. So Charles took her hand and scrunched up her hand apart from one of her fingers so she could touch it. Molly jumped back in fright, "ew! They're all furry!" Charles also jumped back in shock.
"Oh come on Molly, they're not that scary!" Sam was stood next to them and couldn't stop touching them, "they're cute."
Molly turned her head round to face Sam and he looked up at her, "how can you say that?"
"Because I'm not a chicken." Sam laughed as Molly put her hand up and walked off, sassily; Sam also laughed at that as well.
They walked towards the Penguins enclosure where Sam knelt down near the penguins and had photos taken of himself. Afterwards, they fed birds some bird syrup and 3 landed on Sam's arm. But he got too excited and they got scared so they flew off him.
After a while of trying to get birds in Sam's arm, they gave up and Charles decided that it was time to go home. They stopped off at McDonald's for their tea as they had very little lunch.
After their tea, they arrived home and Sam got ready in his pyjamas and shouted down to his dad, "daddy, can you read me a story please!"
"Yeah sure, just coming!" Charles walked up the stairs, "I'll be back in a sec Molls." Molly say herself down in the sofa and turned on the TV. About 10 minutes later, Charles walked in to the kitchen and shouted through to Molly, "do you want a drink Molls?"
Molly stood up and went into the kitchen to reply to Charles, "please."
"What do you want? Tea?"
"Yeah, that'll do thanks. 'Ere, when do you parents get back from their cruise?"
"Tomorrow afternoon, why?"
"I was just wondering. When does Sam go back to Rebecca's?"
"Tomorrow morning at about 10:30."
"Right."
"What are you trying to say Molly?"
"Oh nothing. Just that we would have the house to ourselves for a while, that's all."
Charles boiled the kettle whilst Molly got a couple of mugs out. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, "I've got another surprise for you Molls. Only if you want to though."
Molly leant into him, "and what's the surprise? I don't like bloody surprises!"
"No, I know. But this is a good one or well at least I think it is."
Charles turned Molly around so she was facing him, "how about, me and you get our own house?"
Molly was stood with her mouth wide open, "Molly?" Charles began to feel nervous, "if it's too late, that's fine don't worry. But I have booked us a house viewing, I can easily cancel it."
"No."
"What?"
"Would I ever reject moving in with you?"
"I don't know. But by the sound of your voice, I guess not."
Molly jumped up at Charles and wrapped her legs around his waist, "I'd love to!"
"Well that's good news then! And also it's mum's birthday tomorrow and she wants us to come back at 8pm so she can tidy up, even though it starts at 7:30. But I just agreed to it all, so we need to make ourselves busy." Molly jumped off of Charles' waist, "and remember, Hugo is going to be there and I do not, I repeat do not, want you talking to him. I'm not controlling you, but he has done some very stupid things to women. But I have also booked us in to a hotel tomorrow night as well so it gives us time to get ready."
"Alright I won't." Molly out her hands up in mock defence, "I won't go anywhere near him."
"I'll also be with you the whole time so ill make sure he won't."
Molly yawned, "do you mind if we go to bed now? I'm getting a bit tired."
"Of course not. Go upstairs and ill bring the drinks up." Molly walked up the stairs and Charles pulled his phone from his pocket, "Right, you listen to me okay? I don't want you talking to Molly or even looking at her tomorrow! - you won't? - like I believe that. - I'm giving you a chance okay Hugo? - Do not fucking touch her or look at her okay? - alright then, bye!" Charles ended the call, put his phone back in his pocket and walked upstairs to go to bed.
