A/N 1: Sorry about a slow update, I have got a few more chapters in mind and I would love them to be smutty - but I can't write smut:( I will probably stop this ff if I can't think of anything more to write and I'll probably start a new one.
A/N 2: I'm not entirely sure how a house sale works or whatever - I am only 14. So this is what I assume it's like, sorry if I'm wrong...
A/N 3: For Trude42, the last chapter was posted in a different story, I have just edited it so it fits with this storyline:)
A/N 4: I'm thinking about finishing this FanFiction because the reviews are quite low but, I do have another story in mind, but it's AU and involves someone who I've had a massive obsession with since I was 7. I'm going to start it off as a one-shot because it can lead up to a storyline if it gets positive reviews.
After an eventful night in a Premier Inn, Molly and Charles were finishing off a full English breakfast after they both had a shower, "listen Molls, about the house."
"It's fine Charles, honestly. I know we can't afford it." Molly kept looking at her food and not at Charles, because she really really wanted the house but knew it was too expensive.
"See that's where you're wrong." Molly's eyes darted towards Charles, "I spoke to my parents for a bit yesterday at the party about the house. They said that they would help us buy it."
"No, Charles. We can't do that. Your parents have probably been saving up that money for years and years. How much would they give us?" Molly felt really guilty about using his parents' money but was hopeful that they could get it.
"They said how ever much we need." Charles kept his gaze longing at Molly, "I have at least £300,000 in the bank."
"Yeah but Charles. I just feel like I can't put any input to it. I have about £50,000 in the bank, whereas you have enough to buy about 5 flats in my area!"
Charles put his tray onto the side of the bed and took Molly's off her, "I don't care if you have nothing Molly. You're already putting a lot of input into buying this house, because this house would be shit if it was just me moving in. You moving in with me, into our new home, makes me feel that you are the one responsible for all this. I've been waiting for a day like this where I can share a house with someone I actually will adore for always; without anyone else living with us - so we can have some privacy. If you know what I mean." Charles winked at Molly.
Molly slapped Charles on the arm and laughed but had tears in her eyes so Charles put his hands either side of her face, gently kissed her lips once and put his forehead to hers, "we will work this out, I promise." Charles kissed her lips once more and stared into her eyes, "I love you. Don't forget that."
"Ditto Charles. I just- I don't know- it feels like we are stealing from your parents, you know what I mean?"
"It's fine Molly, leave it down to me and we will have that house. I would do anything to make my girl happy." Charles bent down to kiss Molly once again and she smiled into the kiss, "as much as I would love to stay in this room with you, we need to sort this house out!"
They thoroughly enjoyed their shower together and were ready to leave at 12:30when their time ended at the hotel. They walked back to Charles' parents house, Molly went straight in to find Frank and Diane to hug and thank them for the money that they were prepared to give them for the house, "thank you so much. I just-I can't believe it. You honestly don't have to, I hope you know that."
"We know Molly, but we want to." Molly hugged them again.
Whilst this was happening, Charles rang the estate agents, telling them that they would be prepared to pay £550,500 but whether they would accept a lower offer. The agency said that they would get back to him as soon as they find out. Charles walked into the living room to find his parents and Molly in hysterics, "what's so funny?"
"You're mum was just telling me a bit about your childhood."
"What exact moment of my child-" the phone started ringing, "excuse me." Charles walked out of the room and towards the phone and answered it. Molly followed after him and leant against the banister. After a while of talking, Charles put the phone down and the biggest smile grew on his face. Molly jumped up and threw her legs around Charles waist and screamed in excitement. Hearing Molly screaming alerted Frank and Diane and they jogged towards the phone and saw Molly and Charles with the biggest smile on their faces, "it's happening! We move in on the 14th December, so that's a couple of months away. We better start looking for furniture! I'll get us some champagne and we can look for some."
Frank linked Charles' laptop up to the smart TV, but the laptop loaded the image first and when Frank saw something Molly shouldn't be seeing, he jumped over to her and closed her eyes, "Hello? Charles?"
"Frank, what are you doing?!" Diane walked into the room at that point with some champagne glasses. Frank looked with his eyes over to the laptop where the image was loading up on to the TV. Diane placed the glasses on the coffee table and ran over to the laptop to close the window that Charles was on. After, Diane put a hand on her heart and mocked an awe shaped face.
Frank let go of Molly's eyes, "Everything ok? What was that for? Frank? Diane?" At this point Charles walked in and looked around at his parents, then at Molly. Molly shrugged her shoulders as if to say 'something crazy just happened, don't know what though'. Charles then looked to Frank, who was trying to act behind Molly, what was on the screen - Charles gulped, "everything alright?"
"Yeah, yeah. Everything's fine. We should start looking at some furniture now I reckon." Charles walked over to the sofa where Molly was sat and draped an arm around her waist, so she could lean into him comfortably. Frank and Diane sat on the sofa next to them, with Frank's hand on top of Diane's and Charles was using the mouse to scroll downwards whilst everyone was looking at the TV screen.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
"Have you seen the time Molls? It's bleedin' 11:30!"
"Nice to see you're cockney accent coming through." Molly smirked up at Charles.
"Shush you! I'm being influenced too much." Charles winked at Molly, "when did my parents leave?" Charles looked around the room.
"Oh they went about an hour ago. They did say good night and you said it back, but you probably weren't paying attention to them!" Molly stood up to go to bed, "ow shit!"
"Molly? What's wrong?" Charles jumped up and caught Molly as she fainted, "Molly? Molly, wake the fuck up! This isn't funny!" Charles gently shook her, "Mum! Dad!"
Hearing Charles' shouts for them, Diane and Frank went downstairs as quick as they could, "Charles, what time do you call this?" They entered the living room and seen Molly led on the floor, unconscious, "oh my god! What happened?" Frank went over to Molly to check her breathing because he was a trained first-aider.
Charles stepped back, "I- I- I- I don't know. She was fine one minute, stood up then started complaining and collapsed. But sort her out, please dad!" Charles leant his back on the sofa, raised his knees and buried his head in them, trying to stop the flow of tears.
"I'm trying son, but I don't know why she's like this for? Diane ring the ambulance."
Diane jumped up from trying to comfort Charles and went straight to the phone, "hello? Ambulance please."
"Right Charles, is she taking any medication at all? Anything the doctors have prescribed to her? Maybe from the accident?"
"No, not anymore. Please, just get her talking again!"
"I'm trying son, I really am."
Diane then entered the room, "the ambulance will be about a couple of minutes. Charles what happened?"
"I don't know! She was fine one minute then she collapsed the next." Charles buried his head in his knees once again.
"She'll be fine Charles, I promise." Diane hugged Charles and gulped, how would she know if Molly would be ok?
Suddenly, blue lights started flashing and Molly's eyes were fluttering open, "Molly?" Charles ran over to her and held her hand, "everything's ok. The paramedics are outside now. You're going to be fine, I promise."
"Charles?" Molly spoke in barely a whisper.
"I'm here, right here." Charles squeezed her hand.
Diane opened the door for the paramedics and they came rushing in and Charles and Frank stepped back, to let them do the work. They put Molly on a stretcher and carried her out to the ambulance and they all followed behind. Charles turned to face his parents, "I'll text you when I find out anything."
Charles entered the back of the ambulance and sat next to Molly, holding her hand saying things like, 'I'm right here' or 'you'll be fine".
"Has she had any fluids today at all?" The paramedic spoke to Charles after he checked Molly's heart rate and attached a liquid drip into her arm.
"Um. About 250 millilitres of water and 3 small glasses of champagne. Oh bugger, she's dehydrated."
"I'm afraid so, but not only that either I'm sorry to say. As she stood up, she suffered a severe migraine. Looking at her past health records, she has seemed to have been shot in her left arm and had been diagnosed with TBI, is that correct?"
"Yeah, we served in Afghanistan together, I was her captain when got shot."
"Well as most symptoms of TBI, you would suffer a migraine however Molly's was worse. Because she was dehydrated and suffered a migraine at the same time, this is what has caused her to collapse. The pressure of her standing up quickly, has caused her to fall." Charles nodded in reply, and wiped a few tears as he realised it wasn't life threatening - he nearly lost her once, he didn't want it to happen again.
The paramedics wheeled Molly out of the ambulance and into the hospital with Charles not far behind, "Boss. I need Charles. Bossman."
"I'm right here Molly. Everything's going to be ok, alright?"
"I-love-you."
"I love you to Molls." Charles sat outside her room whilst the nurses and doctors attached her drips and connected her to different wires. She was in a private ward because that was what the army paid for them. They left Molly's room and he was told that he could go in and see her.
"Alright Boss?" Molly smiled faintly.
"Yeah I'm fine thanks, what about you?"
"Never been better." Molly smiled as she realised that she had used that line before.
"You had us really worried Molls! Please don't do that ever again." Charles walked over to her and started rubbing his thumb against the back of her hand, "I promised mum and dad that I'd text them as soon as I found out anything. I also need to tell your family."
"What was wrong with me anyway? And why the fuck are all these wires on me?"
"You were dehydrated but also suffered a severe migraine."
"Oh right." Charles took his phone out of his pocket and texted his mum. As soon as he was about to lock his phone, it vibrated and he read the text from his mum, "'Ere Charles, what was it that Frank didn't want me to see earlier today?"
"You'll find out soon."
"Don't do this Charles!" Molly moaned because she hated surprises.
"It'll be awesome Molly, I promise." Charles kissed her forehead, "you need to get some sleep Mrs. I'm going to text your mum as its a bit late to ring her. I'll be here all night, so don't you worry. Now go to sleep." Charles held her hand and pulled the chair closed to her bed.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
"Wakey wakey sleepyhead." Molly was awake before Charles as they had added some more fluid to her a few minutes ago.
Charles stretched from his sleep, "morning beautiful, how are you this morning? Any pain?" Charles gently kissed her lips.
"A bit in my nut." At this point a senior doctor walked in.
"Hi again Molly. Glad to see your looking much better. As you may know, yesterday you were too dehydrated as I heard from your boyfriend. I was also told that you didn't drink much water and had a few glasses of champagne. The reason why you fainted for was because of the effects of TBI as you had recently been diagnosed with. Your dehydration affected the strength of your migraine. But, there's some bad news." Molly and Charles looked at each other and gulped, "these migraines you are having, they will stay with you for a long period of your lifetime. And with that, I'm not sure the army will allow you to rejoin. The migraines you have will be extremely painful and we aren't sure your body could take that pain so there might be a possibility of you losing awareness, or in the worse case you falling unconscious. There is some medication you will need to take once a day, which is in the morning. You also need to keep up your hydration levels and hunger, otherwise it could end up a lot worse."
Molly nodded and looked up at Charles who gave a weak smile and squeezed her hand, "when are we able to leave?"
"I'll get the medication for you now, then once you have that you can go." The doctor left and within 10 minutes, the medication was brought up to her.
"Your mum said she would visit if it got worse, only because your dad couldn't look after all the kids on his own, your Nan is ill and your mum has work." Charles helped Molly into the bathroom for her to get dressed out of the hospital gown. She came out about 10 minutes later, looking better than when she first entered the hospital.
Molly linked Charles' arm with hers and leaned on him for support as she was still quite weak. Charles brought Molly some shorts and a thin t-shirt to the hospital as the weather in Bath was about 20'C - the hottest it's been this year. He himself was wearing shorts and a tank top and they were both wearing matching sunglasses which Charles brought as a present to Molly when she was in the hospital - they were orange Superdry sunnies. Charles knew that the day was going to be warm, so he brought is MX5 to the hospital. On the way back, he stopped at the local Tesco and brought 2 two litre bottles of water back and told Molly that she needs to drink one of them a day, then she can have any drink she wants, "I know we drank shit loads of water in Afghan, but there is no way I will be able to drink all that in a day!"
"Well it's one of the warmest days of the year so you need to keep your hydration levels up. And doctor's orders." Charles handed Molly one of the bottles, "if it makes you feel any better, I will drink the same amount as you."
"You drink like two of those bottles in a day! So it doesn't make me feel any better." Molly laughed as she said it. Charles laughed as well.
"My parents and I carried on looking at furniture while you were asleep at the hospital and I went to get your clothes. They have good taste so I think you'd like them. I did." Charles took Molly's hand and lightly kissed her temple. He then released his grip and turned on the radio to Capital - Molly's favourite station.
They arrived at Charles' place in about 5 minutes. And he took the water and Molly's bag into the house and told Molly to wait there. After he quickly dumped the stuff in the hallway, he came back to the car and carried Molly into the house in a bridal style. He carried her into the living room and turned on the laptop. Whilst it was turning on, he took Molly's stuff she had at the hospital up to their room. He then came downstairs and brought his and Molly's water into the living room. He sat down next to Molly, wrapped his arm her shoulder and kissed the top of her head. Molly lent onto his shoulder and Charles showed her the furniture; she was in awe of them. She wanted them straight away.
"Right Mrs, you need to have something to eat so how about I make us a ham salad sandwich?"
"Sounds great!" Whilst Charles was making them some lunch, Molly got off her seat on the sofa and turned the TV on. Because it was a smart TV, Netflix was already downloaded on there and they had laid for it. Molly scrolled through all the films under the category of 'romantic comedies'. Molly found 'It Happened One Night' which is a film from 1934, she was getting ready to play it to fool Charles when he walked in.
Charles walked in a few minutes later with 2 plates of sandwiches and resumed his position next to Molly, then he looked at the TV screen to see what they were watching, "Fuck no Molls! I am not watching a film from 1934!"
"I'm joking babe, only joking." Molly couldn't stop laughing at his facial expression, "no but seriously, we are going to watch a rom-com."
"Do we have to?"
"Yes. How about 'His Girl Friday'?"
"No. I know one, do they have 'Friends With Benefits'?"
"You wanna watch that?" Molly said with a surprise expression on her face.
"Sure, why not?" Molly turned to face Charles, "best see if it's on their though first Molls."
Molly went up the top to the search bar and typed it in, "it is on their believe it or not!" Charles rolled his eyes, "I still can't believe you wanna watch 'Friends With Benefits'!"
"Why, what's wrong with that?"
"I don't know, I just-" Molly paused a while, trying to think of something suitable to say, "didn't have you done for this sort of film."
"A man has many secrets." Charles winked at Molly, "so are we watching it or what? Oh after, I want to choose a film." Charles stuck his tongue out at Molly.
"It better not be a horror film, you know I fucking hate them." Molly and Charles chuckled.
"Maybe. Maybe not."
"Where are your parents anyway?"
"Oh, they've gone to Paris for a long weekend."
"Oh ok." The film started and half way through, Molly was cuddled up to Charles in a foetal position with one of his arm around her shoulder and the other on top of her legs on her arse, keeping her close to him.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
'Friends With Benefits' finished and Charles was now putting on 'Pontypool', which Molly had no idea what it was about; until she seen the front cover, "Charles no! I'm serious! I am not watching a horror film!"
"Come on Molls. It's a film, not real life. And beside, I'm here next to you."
"Fine. If I shit myself, you'll be cleaning it up!"
"You won't shit yourself Molls, I promise."
"I'm trusting you on this one." Molly stayed in the same position as she was when they were watching 'Friends With Benefits'. Most of the time, her head was buried in Charles' chest. There was a quilt nearby' and because Molly was getting cold as she was in shorts, she wrapped it round them both and hid under their most of the time.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
"It's finished now Molls. Let's get our pyjamas on then we can come back down and watch some more films, not horror I promise. Maybe we can watch 'No Strings Attached'?"
"Who the fuck are you and what have you down with Charles James the big toughie captain?" They both laughed as they were walking up the stairs. And not a few moments later, they were back downstairs watching 'No Strings Attached'.
Sorry it's not the best finish to any FanFictions but, the reviews have been really low and not many people have viewed it as well. I will be doing another AU but completely different as I have been inspired by another FF on wattpad. Bye for now x
