Chapter 8: Leaving?
'I can't believe he said that. It hurts more than it did before. Maybe coming here wasn't the best idea. I should go. Take everyone and go. Yeah just go.' Inuyasha thought.
"Wait little one." shouted Kamikaze. "Wait!" The group stopped and turned to face the Inu-youkai.
Kamikaze had left Sesshomaru in a hurry after yelling at him about what he had done, he went to look for his little brother before he decided to leave them again. Following his scent he found the young hanyou walking towards the northern gates with his pack.
"Oh little one, don't go. Stay. Please. I finally see you again. I can't lose you like I did father. Stay," he begged. He really didn't want his brother to be out in the forest all alone and with a pack consist of two ningen, a kit and a cat youkai. He wasn't even mature enough to be out at all but it seems that while he was away, their brother seem to have failed his lordly and brotherly duties.
"I don't think I can, brother. Of all the times that he said it, this time it really stuck and it hurts because I really thought that it was true. I truly believed that maybe, just maybe he had changed. But I guess it's just my wishful thinking." Inuyasha said.
"You can move in with me to the castle deep in the west from here. It was Father's gift to your mother after he found out that he was going to be having a hanyou child." Kamikaze stated.
He remembered that day when their father was walking back to the palace with a smile on his face and called for builders the very next day. The project didn't last long since he had used youkai labor and the villa was smaller than the palace. Their father told them about the pup and his heritage. Sesshomaru and his mother had through a fit when they heard but Kamikaze and their lord was very happy that they were going to have a new pup around. They had miss the soft pitter-patter of small Inu-youkai feet in the palace and had been looking forward to hearing young Inuyasha's when he and his mother would join them in the palace.
"Really, nii-san, you would want me to move in with ya?"
'It's all your fault Sesshomaru'
"I have wanted you to stay with me when you were born since father had to deal with the council and Sesshomaru." Kamikaze told Inuyasha who was looking very happy with the words of his brother.
"Okay," was all Yasha could make out to his brother who was looking very thrill with the answer given by the young youkai.
"We can leave now so that you and your pack can get settled into your home."
'Home... Home!' Inuyasha smiles at that. A really smile that he had not smile since the death of his mother.
