AN: BTVS doesn't belong to me.

A few days after Buffy had told her sister the news she wasn't completely human, they had decided to tell the rest of the gang. Dawn had been increasingly distant from everyone but hadn't been reckless in the new information. Faith had suggested more than once to her sister slayer to take her sister and her to see their mom. The blonde had been thinking on it since the brunette and she had talked last and with her little sister's attitude she thought it would help.

"Hey, Dawnie." Buffy knocked on her door as she opened it to see her sister laying on her bed, "I thought this weekend we could go visit Mom. Faith and Lilith said they would cover for me."

"Why? She's not my mom. I don't know if I even had a mom, being a ball of energy." Dawn sulked refusing to look at her older sister.

"Dawn, don't do this. Me and Mom love you no matter how you got here and nothing will change that." The blonde replied sitting down on the bed.

"No, you don't. You just feel this way cause of those monks. No one loves me." The brunette huffed before pulling further away from Buffy.

Buffy, wordless and hurt, got up from the bed in shock and walked out of the room in a daze. Dawn locked the door to keep from anybody else from intruding on her privacy. Faith and Lilith had been sitting down in the living room to support their sister slayer. When Faith saw the blonde look deeply hurt, she stood and pulled Buffy in for a hug. Lilith looked uncomfortable in this situation and while, she had been feeling better since her breakdown, she still finds herself struggling to understand other people's emotions and what to do. When the two older slayers broke the hug, they sat down at the table to talk about what just happened.

"She won't talk to me and I don't know what else to do." Buffy had tears building in her eyes, "I know she doesn't actually mean it but it's still hard to hear and to hear her say Mom isn't her mom hurts. "Cause if she doesn't believe Mom loves her than she doesn't believe I love her and I would die to protect her. It's not just the memories the monks put in me."

"B, I know you love her and want to protect her but she's fourteen and just found out she isn't fully human and that her past is a lie. She will get over this though and she will realize that you do love her." Faith tried to reassure the blonde.

"Thanks, Faith. I may just force her into the car this weekend and drive to see mom." Buffy said feeling a little better in the brunette's words, "I just don't know how to help her."

"Maybe Doctor Pond can. She works well with me and Lilith." Faith offered.

Buffy knew that Faith may be right, having seen the improvements in the two brunettes. After the cave, the other brunette wanted to keep Faith from knowing that she had wanted to die but the blonde and the doc had convinced her to tell the older brunette. Faith had pulled Lilith into a hug, which had been awkwardly returned, telling her clone to stop scaring her like that because they were family and she wouldn't stand to let anything happen to her family. Neither had noticed the young brunette slip out of the room.

Lilith had felt determined to talk to Dawn since she couldn't stand seeing Buffy upset. She had tried the teenager's door to find it locked but found another way in through Dawn's window. The moody brunette was startled at seeing the cloned slayer climb through her window so effortlessly.

"What do you want?" Dawn asked coming out of her stupor.

"To stop you from being an idiot." Lilith answered honestly.

"Well, maybe that's just the way the monks created me." Dawn spat out turning to face away from the other brunette.

"Oh shut the fuck up. Everybody is treating you with kid gloves and you need to grow the fuck up." Lilith yelled.

"What? I don't need to do anything. I'm not REAL!" Dawn screamed.

"Boo the fuck hoo. I'm not either, dumbass. At least, the people that created you put you in paradise here." The clone glaring at the stubbed teenager, "You have a sister and Mother that love you. They never hurt you. They never tortured you. They never pit you against the failures that came before you!"

"Get out of my room." Dawn demanded pointing at her door.

"No. Not before you understand that what you have here, I couldn't have dreamed of. I wasn't the first one they made just the most successful. Your mother was the first person to treat me with any sort of caring. Do you understand how much I wish I could have memories as good as yours must be? You didn't have to fight to survive or for your next meal. You have never known what it feels like to be poked and prodded. You have been loved, in memory and in real life. Who gives a shit if you weren't real before you're real now and surrounded by people that love you and would die for you." Dawn stared at the clone in shock, who looked drained emotionally, "You're going to go apologize to Buffy and then this weekend you're both going to L.A. to visit your mom. You will curb this shit and accept that how you are here doesn't matter but what you are going to do with it.

Lilith left the room feeling exhausted and leaving Dawn to think about what she had said. Dawn had never heard the brunette say so much about what she went through and the teenager felt bad about all the pain the cloned slayer must have went through. Buffy and Faith had been shocked to see the younger slayer come down the stairs looking so lost in her mind. It had left them wondering what went on upstairs. It had surprised Buffy later that night when Dawn came downstairs to eat.

"Buffy, I'm sorry that I've been such a brat lately. I know now that you and mom are my family and I love you guys very much." Dawn said before she pulled her sister in for a hug.

"I love you too, Dawnie."
