Light at the End of the Tunnel

Chapter 3

I still don't own Naruto, if it did Sasuke and Sakura would have their own chapter about how they got together. A little warning, Sasuke might be a little sappy and OOC.

"I-I'm what?" shock was evident in her voice, she just woke up and was told this?

"Ms. Haruno, you are pregnant, ummm 3 months pregnant in fact, congratulations" and as the nurse said that she decided it was better to leave the two of them, she quietly leaves the room and lets the two of them talk.

"S-Sakura… Y-You're….. really?" Sasuke was speechless, sure he was happy not only because Sakura finally woke up, but that he was going to be a father.

"Apparently, I didn't even know I was pregnant, we-we are going to be parents in a few months" she puts her hand on her stomach and rubs it, imagining the baby bump that will soon appear in a few weeks. "I can't believe it, can you?"

Sasuke just smirks and laughs a bit, "What I can't believe is that you haven't changed your name yet, on all your records it should say Sakura Haruno Uchiha." He takes her left hand and puts her ring back on and kissed her ring finger. "I really hate that, can we change it please?" he gives her a look that she can never say no to, but she isn't going to give in that easily, he made her wait almost 18 years for him to confess his true feelings.

"Why? So that when this baby is born it will automatically be declared an Uchiha? I don't think so" She feign a pout to get some reaction from him, and did she get one.

"What? No! I want to you to change your last name because you are my wife! I married you because I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life for you, sure I may have met you when we were in the 6th grade, and didn't really get to know you until we got into High School, but this whole time I have been in love with you, I don't know what I would do if you died a few minutes ago, for the past three months I have came here crying myself asleep, hoping to see your beautiful emerald eyes again, and to apologize to you for all the things I didn't do for you, to show that I truly love you." He grabs her and pulls her into a hug. "Please forgive me Sakura, I maybe selfish for asking you to change your name, but it's the only way for me to make sure you won't leave me, it gives me assurance that you really want me."

Sakura stays in his arms, basking in the warmth that now surrounds her, "Okay fine, once I get discharged, we can go to the family registry and change my name and add me to your family registry, Okay?"

Not trusting his voice Sasuke just nods his head, still keeping his hold on her. The room was quiet until Sakura started giggling. This catches his attention, and he gives her a raised brow.

"What are you giggling about?"

"Oh nothing, I just realized that you said that you've loved me for a very long time, when did you start loving me Sasuke-kun?" and with her question a slight flush spread across his face.

"Uhh, Valentine's Day freshman year, when you gave me those Chocolate muffins. " His blush grew redder as Sakura realized what happened that very year.

"Oh…wait, but didn't I fall on you that da-" a blush also flushed her face " Oh…, but wasn't that the same year we started dating?"

Sasuke nodded, but then spoke up, "it wasn't until that day that I realized that I fell for you long before that day, probably when you fell out of that tree in front of the entrance tunnel on the first day of 7th grade." Sasuke decided to now look at Sakura's face only to see a huge smile on her face.

"Well Mr. Uchiha, I guess we have one thing in common," He gave her a questionable look.

"Oh? and what would that be Mrs. Uchiha" Sakura really did love it when he called her that.

"I guess we fell in love at the same moment, on the first day 7th grade when I fell out of that tree, and you caught me when you came out of the tunnel." His smiled matched hers.

"I guess you can say that you were the light at the end of the tunnel." He caressed her cheek and pulled her into a small kiss and only the moon was their witness as they celebrated the discovery of the new baby Uchiha.

Hey guys, I know its been a vvveerryy long time since I last updated, and yes I know I promised that I would update more often, and hopefully I will. Anyways, let me know if I should add some more, and I might write about the Valentines Day fiasco if any of you like.
