Draco was walking down the corridor in the dungeons when he decided it was time to find Potter and the ginger. It was dimly lit and the air was warm, there had been enough warnings that all pupils must stay in they bed chambers at night while the threats and strange happenings occurred. Over and over again there would be students that were carried off to the hospital wing due to being petrified and Draco was finding it more and more difficult to keep Granger under control, he didn't like resorting into physical violence but he found it was the quickest way for her to "gain control" of her own body.

Making his way into the light towards the great hall for breakfast he heard voices getting louder. Using his right shoulder to barge through the doors he saw each table crowded around in small groups with heads together. As he walked past, some of the Ravenclaw girls glanced up at him with scared faces; ignoring this he met the sullen expression of Blaise and quickened his pace towards him.

"What's going on?" Draco demanded, leaning with his fist on the table.

Blaise didn't say anything, he just swallowed loudly and passed the newspaper towards the blonde boy. Draco practically ripped it out of his hands and what he read made his body freeze.

Hogwarts Slytherin Pupil : Hermione Granger. Dissapeared.

A sickening feeling dropped in his stomach and he threw the paper back at Blaise.

"Hey, mate i'm sure-" but that was all he heard, he began to move towards the Gryffindor table and ignored all the stares he got, untill he stopped behind the chosen one himself.

"Potter. come with me. Bring the weasle" he said in a low voice before walking out of the double doors.

Draco stopped along the corridor next to a large statue and waited for the footsteps to catch up. Leaning into the shadows he met the concerned and questioning glances of Potter and Weasley.

"Granger's missing." Draco stated as if to confirm the situation to himself.

"We know Malfoy. The whole school knows. apparently she disappeared last night." Weasley mentioned.

"Well then, it looks like the three of us are going to have to go and find her." Draco stated again.

"Thats' all very well, but we have no idea where she is..." Harry replied, leaning into the statue and looking up and down the corridor to see who was passing.

"Oh really? Do you really not have a clue?!" Draco spat back. "She is the the chamber of secrets! I cant believe you havn't worked it out yet!"

"How can you be so sure?" Harry whispered back harshly.

"Because i'm not stupid Potter. She hasn't been herself for a long time. The diary-"

"You know about the diary?" Harry interjected.

"Of course i do, she had it for ages. It is tom riddles and i am almost certain he was possessing her... hence why she wrote the messages on the walls."

"Well this explains a lot." Ron mumbled glancing at Harry.

"Look i know she is down there and there is no time to wait. Merlin knows she could be dead by tonight and then what? The rest of the school dies too." Draco said morbidly.

Harry and Ron exchanged glances before nodding at each other.

"Okay. i think we can all agree that we need to get to Hermione and fast. Meet us outside the defence against the dark arts room as soon as dinner is over." Harry said.

Draco let out a frustrated breath before nodding.

"See you then." At that Draco span on his heel and walked back to his dorm. He had no intention of going to any classes today, all he could think about was the beavers safety.
