"Prue, are you picking up Penny or am I?" Piper called Prue's office on her work phone. "I'm going to have Phoebe go get her." Prue answered.
Her office door opened and in came Phoebe and Paige squabbling back and forth about something. "Pheebs and Paige are here, I'll have them get her, I'll talk to you later Pipe." Prue hung up and looked at her sisters as if to say be quiet.
"What are you fighting about now?" Prue said.
Both started talking at once and Prue held up her hand. "This is getting ridiculous, you guys have got to stop this constant bickering, and with Penny too!" Phoebe and Paige stopped and starred at Prue.
"And don't come in my office like that, there's people in here who are trying to work, not listening to a bunch of teenagers fighting," Prue handed her keys to Phoebe. "Can you guys please go and get Penny from swim, go to the grocery store and get the things on that listen and then come back and get me and we'll go home," Prue asked standing up and gathering her things.
"Yes," Phoebe said. Paige was sitting in the other chair in Prue's office. "Prue, this picture is awful, take it down," she said pointing at the picture on her bookshelf.
"I love that picture of you, now out, I have to go to a meeting, see you both later, drive safe and NO fighting with Penny please," Prue said walking out of her office.
Penny watched from the window of her swim practice to see Phoebe and Paige pull into the parking lot. "Bye Coach, my sister is here," Penny waved and ran out to the car.
"Hey P," Paige said.
"Where are Prue and Piper?" Penny asked buckling in. "Work," Paige answered.
Penny was really quiet until the girls finished grocery shopping and headed back to the magazine where Prue works.
"Penny, run up and get Prue, we will wait down here," Phoebe said. Penny jumped out and ran inside.
"She hasn't said a word," Paige pointed out.
Phoebe just sat there, "She's 11, how much did you say at that age?" she replied. "Yeah, I don't know, she used to always talk to us, maybe we're being too hard on her," Paige answered.
Phoebe looked out the window and rolled her eyes, "She's got to grow up sometime," She had it easy being the baby, Prue and Piper gave her whatever she wanted her whole life.
Prue and Penny came out the door holding hands.
Phoebe got out of the driver's seat and watched them swinging along. "What 11 year old still has to hold hands with their sister," Phoebe muttered to Penny, getting in the back.
Penny's face sank as she climbed in the back behind Paige. She wasn't a fighter like Paige, she just let them pick on her. She put her headphones on and ignored Phoebe the rest of the ride.
Hours later Penny sat in her room reading her summer reading book for the next school year.
"Hey P, what are you up to?" Piper came in and sat down on the bed.
"I'm just getting a head start so I don't have to read at camp," Penny sat up and put her book down. "Smart girl," Piper patted her leg. "So do you want to tell me what's up? You've been in your room or in the tree house, we hardly see you anymore," Piper asked.
Penny looked down and didn't respond. "What is it bug?" Piper asked lifting Penny's chin to make eye contact.
"Phoebe and Paige," Penny answered.
"All the fighting you three have been doing?" Piper asked. Penny nodded and tears formed in her eyes.
"They don't like me as much anymore since I'm 11."
"Of course they do, don't say that, sisters fight. Me and Prue used to fight with Phoebe too when we were that age," Piper said.
Penny shrugged and looked away. "It's ok Piper," she said with a reassuring nudge.
Little did Piper know, Penny had a plan up her sleeve to try and escape.
