I wanted this chapter to have some humor. I always loved this episode of season 1 and I really wanted to write Lucy into it! So enjoy and R&R ! :)

Present: Cherry

Lucy couldn't move. Everything inside of her was screaming. She hadn't seen it coming. She swayed slightly before gripping on to a kitchen chair for support. Jax reached out and steadied her.
"You okay baby?" He asked. Lucy nodded and straightened herself.
Unser sighed: "I'm really sorry."
"I think you should go." Jax walked Unser to the door and Lucy could see them exchange a few murmured words. She sat down and buried her face in her hands. She cried silently until Jax sat down opposite of her. He took her hand into his and kissed it softly. She snuffled and tried to smile at him.
"I promise nothing is going to happen to you or our boy." She tried to believe him but it wasn't easy. All the bad shit in her life apparently wasn't enough. There was always more.
"I know you believe that Jackson. But someone killed an innocent women," she covered her mouth with one hand: "For heaven's sake. She had a baby. Just like we do."
Jax folded his stretched hands together and rubbed them over his face.
"I know."
"You need to find this bastard!"
"I will. But until then I need to know you are safe."
Lucy nodded: "We need to keep our son safe. That's the most important thing!"
"You guys should stay at the apartment for some time. Until I can sort this shit out," Jax suggested, referring to the little apartment at the club house.
Lucy sighed: "Shit. I hate that place."
"I'm sorry, baby." She smiled at him and caressed his cheek.
"It's fine. I get it."
"You should head over to TM as soon as possible. I have some club business to attend to with Piney. I'll call Tig. "
Lucy nodded.
"No fuzzing?" Jax laughed.
"Given the circumstances I think it's better someone is here with me."
"I agree," he leaned forward and kissed her softly.
Just then Lucy could hear the baby cry in the other room.
"I got it."
Jax got up and walked towards Abel's room. She could hear him coo as she shoved two slices of bread into the toaster and it made her chuckle. Her big bad biker husband was such a softie when it came to their little guy.

Tig showed up half an hour later and helped her pack some things together after Jax had left. When they were finally done Lucy made coffee and she and Tig sat at the kitchen table together. Abel was happily sitting in his bouncer and gargling.
"Are you ok, doll?" Tig asked when he noticed her vacant stare.
"I'm fine. The whole thing just freaks me out. I thought I could finally start this new chapter in my life and now all of this shit is hanging over my family. It's my job to keep him safe. What if I can't do that?"
"Of course you'll keep him safe," Tig put his large hand on her tiny one and looked straight at her: "And always remember you're not alone. We're all looking after you two. Nothing is going to happen to you."
Lucy didn't smile. Everyone was telling her that it was going to be ok, but what if it wasn't?
They sat together for a couple of more minutes before they decided to head out. Lucy put Abel in the baby carrier and handed him to Tig.
"Put him in the car. I'll be out in a minute."
He nodded and left the house. Lucy walked into the bedroom and pulled a small box out of her closet. Three handguns were hidden inside. She placed two of them in her duffle bag and shoved one into her black leather purse. She slipped into her dark boots and hurried outside. She got into the front seat of her car and buckled up. Tig had secured Abel safely in the backseat and was now sitting on his bike smiling at her.
"I'll follow you."
Lucy nodded and backed out of the drive way. When she passed the corner where her accident had happened her pulse fastened. She watched Tig in the rearview mirror and it made her feel better. He was right there behind her and he'd keep her safe.
They pulled into TM behind a large white truck. Lucy parked her car next to Gemma's. She took Abel out of the carrier and walked towards the office. Gemma was standing in the door, but she wasn't smiling. Lucy turned to see who or what she was watching. Next to the white Truck Clay seemed to argue with Juice and a pretty brunette tried to get in between them. I couldn't understand what they were saying but something seemed off. Tig was walking towards them and when I turned back to Gemma she looked deeply hurt. I walked past the prospect who was also watching the situation and entered the office.
"What's the matter?" I asked and switched Abel from one side to the other.
The prospect turned and marched past me. Gemma followed. She closed the door and stepped in front of him.
"Who's that girl?" She asked through clenched teeth. I pulled the blinds apart with two fingers but the situation outside had calmed. Tig was talking to Clay and the brunette had disappeared.
"Talk," Lucy ordered the prospect and stepped in front of him next to Gemma.
"I don't know," he stuttered.
"Yeah? I saw your heart skip a beat from here. Who is she?"
The prospect looked over at Lucy but she only pulled up an eyebrow: "You better answer her."
"Just some tribe hangaround," he said his voice breaking.
Lucy worried about Gemma, who seemed to slump a bit: "Clay hit that tard. Didn't he?"
Lucy turned her head towards Gemma in surprise, she hadn't expected that.
The prospect stammered some incomprehensible stuff about Clay only hitting Gemma and Lucy decided it was time to kick him out.
"Get out and take the baby," she handed Abel to him. Gemma walked passed them and fell into a chair standing by the door. Lucy waited for the prospect to leave before kneeling down in front of her mother in law.
"I'm sorry." Gemma had started crying and Lucy pulled her close.
"Piece of shit," she cursed. For a moment images of Jax buried deep in some other women came to her mind, but she pushed them away. Jax had never brought a bitch home with him. Clay had crossed a line, broken the most important rule and he'd be in real trouble for that

An hour later Gemma had left to talk to Luann and Lucy was sitting in the clubhouse nursing Abel when Jax entered. He strolled towards them, kissed Lucy softly, stroke over Abel's bald little head and slouched down next to them.
"You guys have church now?"
"Yeah, everything okay with you two?"
"We're great. Your mom isn't though."
"What are you talking about?"
"Apparently Clay fucked some sweet bud up in Nevada and she showed up here with Juice."
"What? Oh shit. Stupid bitch."
"Stupid Clay," Lucy interjected.
Jax pulled up an eyebrow.
"If you ever hook up with some skank and you can't keep her from showing up here, I'd make you suffer for a long time," Lucy replied not the slightest hint of humor in her words.
Jax leaned forwards so his mouth was close to her ear.
"I don't do that kind of shit," he whispered and there was a slight hint of anger in his voice.
"Cheating or getting caught?"
"Oh come on," he pushed himself of the sofa and headed towards the large wooden doors separating their meeting room from everything else. Lucy knew she had angered him but she didn't care. She never wanted to feel what Gemma had to feel right now, even if it meant pushing a little too far from time to time.
Abel fell asleep while eating and Lucy stretched out her legs and closed her eyes as well. Her night had been short and the morning very emotional. She really needed the rest. She had just drifted off when she heard a commotion.
"What the hell?" she sat up, placed the baby carefully in his stroller and followed the men outside, who had just walked by her.
She stopped in the door watching the scene from afar.
A dark sedan had just stopped in front of the clubhouse and two formally dressed people got out. Lucy knew right away that they were state. Hale was also there and Lucy shot him an angry glance.
The blond women started to speak: "Agent Stahl, ATF. I'm looking for the owner of Teller-Morrow Automotives." She looked at Clay over the edge of her sunglasses.
Lucy cursed under her breath. ATF – that wasn't good. What the fuck was going on?
"That's me," Clay said. Hale stepped behind him and put cuffs on him.
"You gonna bother mentioning a charge?"
"No charges yet," Stahl replied: "I just need to discuss your relationship with a Nate Meineke."
"Who?"
"Nat Meineke. He is one of the men who held up a prison transport vehicle this morning." She walked towards her car while Hale followed leading Clay.
"He killed three people with AK-47s. We found Mr. Meineke's cell phone at the scene. Last call he received was from your garage," she continued.
Lucy could see the look Jax was giving Piney and she was sure the whole situation had something to do with the business the two of them had attended this morning. She waited for the ATF and Hale to leave TM with Clay before she stepped into Jax way.
"What's going on?"
"The AKs. We sold them to Meineke and his son this morning. He pointed at the truck that Juice and the brunette had arrived in earlier this morning: "There are more guns in there. ATF up in our shit is bad."
"Oh fuck," Lucy rubbed her forehead.
"I need to talk to Piney and Opie, babe."
"Yes you do. That was Piney's contact wasn't it?"
Jax nodded: "Stupid old man."
Jax laughed at her words: "I'll sort it all out."
"I think I should go see Gemma. She's at Luann's studio. I'll drive by there. I need to get some stuff for Abel anyway. He's sleeping, so I'll leave him here. Okay?"
"I can't watch him right now," Jax put up his hands, palms facing her.
"Don't worry I'll get one of the girls to take him," she stepped forward and kissed him.
"Take someone," he ordered, before turning around and heading over towards Piney and Opie.
Lucy rolled her eyes, but did as he wished and asked Happy. He agreed to follow her to Luann's and take her to the drugstore afterwards.
She requested Bella, one of the many hangarounds, to watch Abel while she was gone. Bella's heart was in the right place and Lucy really liked her. She might not understand these girls way of life but as long as they stayed clear of her man, they didn't bother her.

Lucy drove down Main Street when she saw Gemma's car standing in front of the pharmacy. She parked right behind her and climbed out of her SUV. Happy was standing a few feet away smoking a cigarette and watching her. Gemma was just leaving the store when Lucy saw the brunette from before walking down the sidewalk.
Lucy watched in shock as Gemma picked up a kid's skateboard and hit it into the girl face with full force. The brunette screamed, falling to the floor crying and holding her bloody nose. Happy had ran towards them, cursing under his breath.
"Shit," she mumbled when she realized how many people were suddenly surrounded them.
"What the hell mama?" Happy called.
Lucy could hear sirens. Some idiot had called the cops. Gemma was sitting down on the curb ignoring them both.
"Maybe you shouldn't be here when the cops arrive." Happy nodded thinking about her objection.
"I'll get my bike off the street and watch you from over there," he pointed at a wooden bench right at the next intersection.
Lucy agreed with him and watched as he threw his cut into the back of her car. Then she turned around and dropped onto the curb next to Gemma. The pretty brunette was still sobbing and whining. Lucy felt flash of sympathy for her. Her nose was probably broken. She took Gemma's hand and waited for the cop car to park second row, before two young officer's got out and walked towards the scene. Lucy didn't know either of them.
She watched them talk to the girl who didn't really say anything, but the bystanders filled them in pretty fast. It wasn't long before they were putting Gemma in cuffs and walking her towards their car. The female officer walked over to Lucy: "Mam, did you see what happened?"
"Saw nothing. Sorry."
"Your name please?"
"Lucy Teller," she answered. The officer gave her an odd look before calling for her partner. They whispered something to each other but Lucy couldn't understand them.
The male officer looked at her.
"Mam, please turn around."
"What?" Lucy couldn't believe what he was saying.
"Turn around," he barked loudly. Stunned Lucy turned and put her hands behind her back. Happy had jumped up and was looking at her concerned."
"Call Jax," she mouthed and knew he had understood as soon as she saw him pull out his phone.
"Witness heard you threaten the girl."
"That's bullshit." She hissed. The female officer gave her a self-satisfied grin before pushing her into the car next to Gemma.
"What did you do?" Gemma questioned.
"Nothing. That bitch cuffed me as soon as she heard my name. Fuck! Everything is falling apart. Clay and Jax will kill us."
"What are you talking about?"
"Right. I haven't told you yet. ATF picked up Clay."
"Aw Shit," she cursed loudly: "He's not gonna be happy to see us."
"My words exactly," she leaned her head against the window and closed her eyes. Jax would be so pissed when Happy's phone call reached him.
They sat in silence on the way to the station. Lucy stared out the window and was glad when they finally reached it. Jax wasn't there yet. They got both ladies out of the car and walked them inside. Gemma saw Clay sitting in the interrogation room and snorted. The female officer pressed Lucy onto a chair and told her to stay put. Then she pulled Gemma towards the cells. Suddenly Clay's voice filled the room: "What the hell did you do?"
"Same thing you did. Nailed some little tard from Nevada," Gemma barked, fighting the hold the officer had on her.
"Like I don't have enough shit going on. You have to go and do that!" He screamed back at her. Lucy wanted to say something but it was probably best not to do so.
"Should've thought about that before your dick went on a cheerleader hunt."
"Hey, I didn't tell her to come her," he bellowed and Lucy was glad that Hale was blocking his way. These two better not get near each other.
"But she's here," Gemma blared back at him.
"It's not my fault."
"And it's not my pussy," with those words the officer pulled Gemma out of their view. Clay shot Lucy an acid look before returning to his seat in the interrogation room.
"And that's why I'm single," Agent Stahl said to the men surrounding her.
Lucy grunted. That ATF agent was really pissing her off.
At that moment Jax entered looking just as angry as Clay.
"What the fuck did you do?"
"Nothing. I swear. It was …." Lucy started but Jax cut her off.
"I really don't have time for this. Couldn't you two ladies have found another day to stir shit up," he barked at her. Lucy jumped up and got close up into his face.
"I didn't fucking do anything. Your mother though it'd be a smart idea to break some girls nose. I was just a bystander."
"I don't care. I don't have time for this," he hissed then looked around: "Where is my mum?"
"Cells," Lucy replied wanting to cross her arms but not being able to, because of the cuffs still holding her arms in place: "Please get me out of these."
"No. Let me talk to Unser first. These'll keep you from doing more stupid things," with that he turned and walked away.
"Asshole," Lucy mumbled and sat back down in the chair.
It took some time for Jax to return with Unser, who uncuffed her before speaking up: "What did you do?"
"Can everybody please stop asking this question? I didn't do anything. Your overachieving little officer put these on me as soon as she heard my name."
She pointed at the female officer who had arrested her and rolled her eyes.
"Guess we know why."
The two men followed her gaze, the officer was talking to Agent Stahl looking over at them from time to time.
"I don't have time to discuss this matter now. I really need to take you home," Jax said, pulling her along. She thanked Unser before both of them left the station.
A few minutes later Lucy was sitting on the back of her husband's bike, speeding towards their house. He had told her all about the search warrant and that he didn't want her and the baby to be around the clubhouse when they arrived. Happy was already waiting for them when they pulled into the drive way.
"Where's Abel?"
"Bella has him inside," Happy replied: "I think that little boy needs a feeding."
Lucy could hear him screaming inside and instantly her breasts started to hurt. She kissed Jax and made him promise to call as soon as possible. Then she watched him drive off.
Lucy spent the rest of the afternoon talking with Bella and Happy. Bella offered to help out with Abel more often in the future and Lucy gladly accepted her offer.
Jax finally called at around seven and told her that the ATF had found nothing, but basically trashed the place. Luckily they had barely touched the apartment and Jax decided that it would be best for her to come back to TM. Lucy decided to leave right away. She wanted to be near Jax. She strapped Abel into the back seat and got into the driver's seat herself. Lucy smiled at Bella who had just put on her seat belt.
"Thanks again for helping me with Abel today." Bella smiled.
"He's a great boy."
Lucy smiled back: "He sure is."
She slowly backed out of the driveway when she remembered something.
"Shit. I forgot to close the window," she stopped the car, unbuckled and jumped out. Happy was already half way down the street, but she figured he'd notice she wasn't behind him pretty fast. She ran back into the house and down the hallway towards the bedroom. She had just put on the lights when she noticed movement behind her. She screamed once she had turned and looked at a masked face while two hands wrapped around her throat making it impossible for her to breathe.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. :) Please review if you liked it!
