Chapter 11
Shots rang out as the war droid fired its blaster. Vosif easily deflected them back, the blaster bolt hitting the droids chest. The droids chassis exploded and it fell to the ground. The remaining three droids fired their blaster rifles at Vosif. Instead of deflecting them back and destroying them, instead he started moving his body around the shots. Timing his movements to let the blaster fire pass by harmlessly.
While he could not see the shots with the dark side flowing through him he could feel the shots as they flew threw the air. The Force was his eyes and it showed him all he needed to see. He bobbed and weaved, leaping into the air spinning his body moving around the blast. He could feel the heat of each shot as they passed by him, but he continued to doge unaffected.
Vosif flipped over the droid in front of him toward the center of the room. As he landed he brought his fist to the ground sending a force shockwave out at the three droids throwing them all at the wall. With a metallic thud they exploding on impact.
Vosif deactivated his lightsaber hooking it onto his belt as he took deep breaths to steady his breathing and heart rate.
There was loud clapping coming from the other side of the training room. "Very nice. Those training droids didn't stand a chance against The Emperor's Wrath." Sechel was still clapping as he talked.
"Those weren't training droids." Vosif stepped over one of the twenty droid piles that littered the room. "those were all war droids armed with front line, state of the arc weaponry, armor, and shielding." he reached out with the Force and grabbed his towel that was resting on the near by bench and sent it to his hand. Catching it he started to pat down his sweat covered chest. "And if you dare mock me again I will kill you were you stand."
"My apologies my lord. It will not happen again. I would bow but it's not like you could see me do it."
"Do it anyway." Vosif turned and looked at Sechel. Even though his eyes were lifeless he knew that Sechel could tell that he was starring through him. He knew Sechel better than most. He knew how to act week and cower to the stronger sith but that was all an illusion so that other would let down their guard around him.
There was a long pause as the two stared at each other. "My dearest apologies." Vosif could see him through the force as the figure's upper portion lowered.
"That's better." Vosif returned to drying himself off. "Now get out before I have you killed."
"Now is that any way to talk to your older brother?" Sechel tone was playful with a hint of mockery.
Vosif snarled a bit. "You think that because we had the same parents that means you can just walk in here unannounced and start talking to me like we are equals?"
"Always so violent" Sechel sighed. "That's why you were always the favorite."
Vosif clinched his teeth together not going to play into Sachel's games by responding. While Vosif had always been the stronger of the two there was no question that Sechel was the smarter. While Vosif would never admit that to anyone for any reason, even Talima, he had to admit it to himself. Knowing your own weakness was the only way to compensate and overcome them.
Though he doubted that he could just simply become smarter than his older brother, but he could learn how to avoid his schemes. The first step was never react how he expected.
"So how did your trip go with you killing those Separatist sympathizers?" Sechel continued as if he hadn't said anything before. "Would imagine that a small village of unarmed women and children didn't pose too much trouble."
Vosif frowned, "And how is it that you knew of my mission? Seeing as how I didn't even tell my men until the last possible minute." Vosif didn't even bother to try and deny what he had done. Sechel may not be a strong force user or any kind of solder but he was dangerous in other ways.
Where he lacked power and strength he focused his attention on sharpening his mind. He prided himself on always being two steps ahead of everyone else and never did or said anything without multiple reasons. He had reveled this little bit of information to remind Vosif that he knew lots of things that he shouldn't and that he was also someone not to be taken lightly.
"Oh the information is always out there, one must simply know where to find it." Vosif was sure that he was smiling. That smug shutta. "Though as much as I would like it to be I am not here to check up on my little brother."
"Alright why are you here?" Vosif decided it was just better to get to the point quickly so he could say no to whatever it was and then he would leave all the faster.
"I fear that someone is trying to make a move against the Emperor."
Vosif was slightly intrigued. Sechel had never said anything like that before. "alright but talk fast, if I think that this is a waste of my time then I very well might kill you for being the one who wasted it." Vosif sat down on the workout bench ready to hear what Sechel had to say.
"It has to do with this new separatist uprising."
"What about them? There is always some faction or another trying to fight against the Empire. Usually they are full of a bunch of idealist that are actually being manipulated by a Sith for their own ends." Vosif waved him off starting to get the feeling that this was just a waste of his time after all.
"Yes but I think that these are different."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because" Sechel moved and sat down beside Vosif. "I think that this time the person backing them actually wants them to succeed."
Now Sechel had Vosif's attention. "Alright why don't you start from the beginning?"
