"Would you be mad if I committed suicide?"
It echoed within his ears as he shot up from his lying position. Panting, his hand trembled, shaking as they ran through his raven hair. Glancing down, his navy eyes landed upon her blonde locks as her back faced him.
"What kind of question is that?!"
Gray shuddered at the memory; he closed his eyes bitterly at all of it. His hand instinctively removed her hair from her neck and then pressed two fingers to her neck to feel her pulse. It was still beating, peacefully, unlike the cringed nose upon her usually angelic face.
"It is just a silly question, Gray… don't think too much of it."
"Lies…" Gray hissed and then stood to go to the sink. He splashed water onto his face. "You think I would ever think any less of that question?" His eyes dragged over to where she lay.
"Luce, what is wrong?"
She turned onto her back which left her arm open to see. That milky skin of hers, soft, and still clean from any slices or red stains. Gray cringed at the thought of the cuts that lied upon her thighs, it made him ache inside.
"Nothing… I'm fine, Gray."
"Don't say you are fine when you aren't!"
"Gray, let me go… I-"
Her sleeves fell down and he caught a glimpse of red… that was all he needed.
She pushed away with scared eyes and breathless, her bottom lip being bit down upon.
His navy eyes stared in horror, and twisted misery; why had it taken him this long? How oblivious was he?
"I should go home…" Her voice was soft and meek.
She turned and adjusted her backpack, eyes casted down as her steps became a full on strode. Tears, they rolled down her cheeks as she hoped he was not thinking what that she did what she had done.
Her wrist was tugged back and her body flipped completely around; she gasped. His eyes hard with anger and yet, concern. He tugged both her sleeves up, there they were, scars, cuts, bruises… they were all there.
"Gray, listen-"
"No… no more excuses…" He stared at her, his throat dry and eyes leaking hot tears. "What is wrong?"
Lucy sat up, her hand rubbed her eye. She yawned quietly. Smiling, a small wave flicked off her wrist as she looked at Gray. "Morning, Gray," she mumbled sweetly and then she closed her eyes once more. Suddenly, a jolt streamed through her body and she sat up, "GRAY?!"
The raven haired male nodded and leveled himself to her and sighed. His hand ran through his locks, "Hey, Lucy." He touched her bangs softly and then his fingertips gently brushed by her smooth skin, it made her eyes widen.
"What are you do-"
"You called," Gray answered, "Your father was a no show and you relapsed." He cringed and bit back those painful feelings.
Lucy's head fell as her memories returned of last night. Her eyes felt heavy, she took in a deep breath and then mumbled, "I'm sorry you stayed here all night." Her chin was lifted up and she suddenly felt her face grow warm, navy blue met with chocolate brown.
"Don't be. I will and am always here for you."

Lyon's POV
Awaking to that sound of a submarine alarm is much more than horrible, it is dreadful. Slowly, those fingers of mine snake to the stupid iPod to shut the damn alarm off. I cursed as my body sat up and a hand gripped a spot of my hair. A yawn escaped my mouth and I let out a much needed stretch.
"Gray! Get up, we have school." I called as I started to climb down the top bunk. Glancing over towards his bed, wait… he isn't there… strange. I always get up first. Wait, he wasn't here last night either.
Rolling my eyes, I started to grab some clothes and then waltz to the bathroom. Locking the door, my hand started up the shower and I tested the water, cold. I like it cold. Removing my boxers, I slipped in as the curtain covered me. My mind drifted off to what today would be like, hopefully it didn't end with Gray and I fighting. And speaking of fights, I have to talk to Ultear!
My hands were covered in shampoo and I scrubbed my hair still thinking about everything. I would most likely eat with Lucy again; I did enjoy Lucy's company. Maybe even a bit more than Juvia's. She is kind and actually considerate of others. And- my black orbs went wide and my throat felt dry. "More the Juvia?"
That is not right, is it?
It cannot be, can it?
Lucy is a great friend and I do enjoy her company, but her company cannot outweigh my Juvia's… right?
My body suddenly felt cold, colder than it should. Like violent blizzards swirled within me, a storm of commotion and panic seemed to shake my mind. Why should this even matter? It isn't like there is anything wrong with me taking pleasure in hanging out with Lucy a bit more than Juvia, right? And besides it isn't like I'm starting to like-
"Damnit!" my hands quickly responded to rubbing my eyes, "Damn, shampoo…"

Lucy cringed at how much it hurt as she walked. Her thighs were killing her as they rubbed against the denim. She hated herself for going back to those ugly habits of hers. Mostly how disappointed Gray must have been, how he must be. She looked down with sad eyes and mumbled, "Stupid…"
"What?" Gray responded, clearly not sure what she said.
Lucy shook her head, "Nothing…"
Gray stepped in front of her and then looked deep into her eyes, "No, it is not nothing. It is something, so spill."
Lucy looked past his shoulder and sighed, "Natsu is waving at us, we should go." Her arm pushed him away and took a few steps past him.
His hand grabbed her wrist and there was a sense of dejavu, "Luce, please, what did you say?"
The blonde simply sighed, "I called myself stupid." Her eyes went down to look away from Gray's eyes.
A sigh fled Gray's mouth; arms pulled her in for a hug. Embracing her in her time of need was something Gray would gladly do, not argument needed. "You are not stupid." His hand threaded her hair softly, "You are smart, just because you went back to that release of pain doesn't qualify you as stupid."
Lucy shrugged away with a pout, her eyes still cast down, "I will not argue with you."
Gray tasseled her hair and then lifted her face, "Good, just agree for once."
A smile formed on her light pink lips, and she planted a soft kiss upon his cheek. "Thank you, Gray." Her hand then found a way into his, not in a lover's way, but a sweet, simply friends' way. Gray squeezed her hand to reassure her that it would be fine. Although he knew things had to be made up for lost time.
Natsu had tackled the raven haired male down and in return caused the blonde to slip as well. The pink haired male tugged upon Gray's hair and Lucy's hand broke free as she watched the two in a fit of giggles. But her legs snaked away and her body was lifted by a close friend with scarlet locks. And Erza couldn't stand for fighting. Especially, Gray's and Natsu's.

Juvia waited by the school sign, like she had every morning waiting for Gray. A smile was placed upon her lips as she scanned around the front for her 'Gray-sama'. Her eyes lit in excitement and ready to tell him of her events with Lyon.
It felt nice to rekindle their friendship to grow back.
Juvia grinned with a hint of red. She continued to look for Gray and kept her wide grin. That's when her blue eyes found his raven hair. "Gray-sama!" she called as she rushed towards him. "Oh, Gray-sama!"
Blue curls bouncing, eyes full of joy, smile wide and honest. Then a glimpse of blonde ceased her movement. Stopping, her heart dropped, smile faded, eyes wide with a blank stare, "Love…rival…?" Those deep blue orbs found their way to the hands holding before pink disturbed that peace. "Holding… Gray-sama's hand…?"
It was as though her whole mind went blank. Like her body seemed to freeze, and like her heart closed. Juvia was hurt. Juvia blinked several times to grasp the situation.
Juvia has never seen them hold hands… best friends don't… Gray-sama and Love Rival are together then?
"Juvia!"
Her head snapped up to see the blonde smiling at her while Erza scolded Gray-sama and Natsu. She blankly stared at the four, that's when a hand upon her shoulder snapped her back.
"You okay, Juvia?" Lucy asked concerned with a look of care.
Those lovely blue eyes narrowed coldly, a harsh smack of Lucy's arm followed. "Juvia is just fine." Stalking ahead, Juvia quickly smiled, "Gray-sama! Juvia missed you yesterday after school!"
Juvia will not lose to Love Rival… Juvia will beat Love Rival, with both Gray-sama and Lyon.
