A/N: Wow, so... I wrote this in 2012 and never did anything with it, but I just got into writing fanfiction again recently and decided I really couldn't let this story go to waste. So here you go. I'm back from the dead. I used to go by Arty's Girl; some of you may remember those days. Anyway... enjoy. Please don't kill me.

Chapter Two: Planting The Seed

Artemis fidgeted nervously under N1's big, warm hands. He really wasn't so sure about this idea...

He was seated in a chair on the front lawn, his bare feet touching the moist earth and N1's figure loomed behind him. The demon had said it was necessary to channel the earth's magic through him for the spell, but Artemis still grimaced at the uncomfortable squishy sensation beneath his toes. Butler, his parents, and Holly were standing around the chair and awkwardly trying to give encouraging smiles. It wasn't helping. N1's words about brain damage kept coming to the forefront of his thoughts. He gritted his teeth and swallowed.

"Let's get on with it, then," he said in what he hoped was a brave voice. The excited yet concerned smile on Holly's face wasn't making this any easier, and his suspicions were confirmed. She knew he was scared.

"Don't worry, Artemis, this shouldn't hurt much. You might feel a little sick though," quipped N1 cheerfully, cracking his knuckles and laying them once again on Artemis's head.

"Sick?" Artemis questioned. He already felt sick. How much more discomfort could they possibly infuse into this situation?

"Sick," replied N1 in his disgustingly chipper voice. "Ill, queasy, unwell-"

"Oh for god's sake," grumbled Butler. "Just say the damn spell already."

"With pleasure!" N1 squeaked. Artemis couldn't see him but he imagined him closing his eyes as a tingling feeling started to prickle Artemis's scalp.

All of the sudden his voice became low and raspy, chanting in a language that no one else knew. Everyone shivered, and Artemis began to feel waves of energy shooting down his spine. It was entirely unpleasant. N1's voice began to sound layered, almost like he was using the mesmer, and Artemis head a deep voice resound inside his head.

"Sleep, human... sleep..."

He felt a panic well up inside of him, suddenly aware of the loss of control over his body. He tried to fight it, thinking frantically that this whole thing was a very bad idea, but the deep voice cam again, stronger, and sweeter.

"Sleep, Artemis... sleep..."

Consciousness as he knew it winked out of existence.

A/N: I know this is super short but I just wanted to see if anyone is even interested in me continuing this story. If you are, would you please review? :) Thanks, lovelies.
