Dumbledore...

I do not own Harry Potter.

Belongs to J. K. Rowling.

"Severus. Please." These were my last words before the famous spell to kill someone slipped out of his mouth.

"Avada...Kedavra!" I felt myself fly over the railing and my heart sank. The next thing I know I was standing next to Severus, watching myself fall out of the top of the castle.

When the Death Eaters, Severus and Draco all left I also disappeared, ending up in my office. I walked over to my desk and sat in my chair, crossing my fingers in habit. Tonight was the night I took Harry to get another Horcrux. I asked so much of him and I do feel deeply bad about this but he needed to go through that. Just like he needs to not know about him sacrificing himself in the end to save the world. I have gone into deep thoughts on whether this was harsh of me to keep from him. Severus thought so but in my opinion I feel it will just discourage him if he finds out.

Out of exhaustion I close my eyes and think back to before I took Harry to that cave. Severus came to see me on my orders and what I told him about what needed to be done was more shocking to him than I intended it to be. I understand that it was selfish of me not to tell Harry everything that he needed to know, but Severus doesn't understand why he can't be told. He is still just a boy and like any child he would have the feelings of being scared. I'm not worried that in the end he won't do what has to be done, my concern was scaring him to the point of not being able to handle it. That would be anyone's reaction to death. Was my thoughts as well before it happened but I knew this was important to the cause.

I open my eyes as I'm interrupted to the sound of chaos coming from my window. I stand up and climb up the stairs to the highest window in my office. From here I could see people running away from the castle. This was not what I expected at all. Draco to kill me was already known but him bringing others into the castle was not on my radar.

I shutter from a chilling wind that goes down my spine and someone whispers my name. I turn but no one was there. "Hello?" I start to walk down the steps and I hear it again. The voice sounded familiar but I couldn't figure it out. "Who's there?" My office door swings open and behind it is a ghostly figure. As I get closer my heart sinks. "Ariana." My voice cracks as I said it. My sister was standing right in front of me. The sister I let down all that time ago.

I walk up to her and just stare. She smiles back at me and begins to tell me that my mission is not yet complete. I can still guide Harry on his journey. I wasn't sure what she meant till she told me that I had to get Severus to become the new Headmaster. Once they put my painting up I can figure things out more.

I wanted to talk to her more but without warning darkness comes to view. When I'm out of it I find myself standing at the foot of my body. I look up to see where I fell and now here I am at the bottom. Was I in awe about the fact I'm no longer alive? No, I knew it was coming and made peace with it long ago. Plus with everything I've seen and been through throughout my years, this is probably the least scariest thing that's happened to me.

Students and teachers are surrounding me now and I must say, it was very emotional to handle. Especially when I spotted Hagrid coming with Harry. The look and reaction Harry gave struck my heart. It wasn't long till I found myself not able to stay there any longer. I decide to follow as Ginny pulled Harry off into the castle.

They wound up in the Hospital Wing. The Weasley family were surrounding one of the beds. Molly seemed to be emotional. I found out why when she told Harry that it was Bill. He got scratched by Greyback. This would lead him to being part Werewolf but to what extend? There's no way to tell.

"Albus?" This startled me. I turned around quickly and Sirius was standing at the door.

My mouth drops. "What..."

"I never moved on. I've been keeping an eye on Harry."

I walk over to him. "There's not much you can do here."

"I need to know he's safe."

"You and I both know that from here on he won't be."

He nods. "I know."

I give him a look. "How did you know that I was..."

"Dead?" I nod "I was with Harry when you fell out of the tower. I went looking for you where your body fell but you weren't there. Thought you made the choice to move on."

I shake my head. "Not just yet." I look at Harry. "Come." I turn back to him and start to walk out. "We must talk. There's much to be done." He follows closely behind as we head through the door.
