Hey, sorry for not updating haha.
Anyway I forgot where I was...
About that fight in the chapter before, it really happened...
Chad tried to hold back his father while April calmed Grim down. It wasn't everyday the triplets would see their father react like that, but when they did, they would be afraid. The only time they ever saw their father's angry side was when April snuck out at midnight to meet with Chad. Their meeting only lasted for five minutes since Grim barely sleeps. Now was a different matter, Grim never liked anyone in his family to be insulted, Chad's father had crossed the line. He wasn't going to stand there and do nothing.
"Dad, please just stop this!" April cried out as she didn't want her father getting hurt anymore.
"Cool it, this isn't going to make things right!" Chad said at the same time, still blocking his father from hurting Grim.
Seeing April tear up was enough to make Grim stop in his tracks. He had promised to protect the triplets and now he felt like he was hurting them even more. He stopped, walking away from anything that has happened. May and June were both saddened when Grim left just like that. They looked over to April's boyfriend, seems like he had managed to calm his father. It wasn't everyday you would see something like this happen.

After a long time of explaining everything, Chad convinced his father that April was just an ordinary girl, like every girl else. Letting out a sigh, he apologized.
"I remember the first time I encountered a Grim's child, she was very friendly. But then I called her a phantom because I was mingling with the wrong friends." Chad was a little surprised at his father's confession.
"I loved her, I really did. But after that day, she committed suicide. That's why I disapprove of you going out with April. I'm afraid of treating her the same way." April sighed from where she was hiding, finally knowing why he had treated her that way.
She forgave him. April knew she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she had not forgiven anyone. April remembered Grim telling her to love all, trust a few and to do wrong to none. Yep, he liked Shakespeare a lot.
"Hey, April. Do you know where dad is?" May asked a little concerned.
"No, isn't he in the house?" April ran out when May shook her head.
Asking around the neighborhood did nothing, they didn't quite like Grim as they still think him as a lifeless corpse reaping souls. There used to be one, Tamara Donner. She was nice enough to give him a chance. The triplets weren't the reason she left Grim, the reason was something he might have to learn in the future.

"You should know I only left you to protect you." Tamara held a golden heart shaped locket in her hands.
The time she left Grim, she felt empty. He needed to re-prioritize, yes, but she also loved the way he handled the triplets. Her father forced her into breaking up with Grim when he had heard about their relationship.
"Because that thing isn't human! " her father's words still haunt her until now.
Sure, Grim wasn't human. But that was just his appearance and well, his aging obviously. But there was something Tamara saw inside of Grim that no one else could see. He was the one who had defended her from her father when he attempted to abuse her when she was younger. They've became friends ever since. The last time she saw Grim the first thing she said was "Ten years I haven't seen you and you're still the same.". But now all those memories are nothing but nightmares in her life as she realized her father had won.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Tamara heard a familiar voice and turned around.
It was her spouse, he had tried to convince her into bringing the triplets to them many times. But as convincing as he can get, Tamara knew better than to do what he says.
"It's nothing." was the only reply he got.
Tamara's spouse was Nathaniel Sherwind, the hotshot in highschool. They studied together and even dated for a while until she found out she was using him. Their relationship lasted about seven months before breaking it off.

"I never want to see you again!" Tamara yelled as she stormed out of her class.
She had overheard Nathaniel talking to his friends about using her to get the new girl's attention. Tamara lost it and headed directly towards them, the first thing she saw was Nathaniel's friend's horrified face. Nathaniel turned around and sweet talked to her, not noticing the frown she had on her face.
"Hey, what going on?" Nathaniel's friends had already left, knowing Tamara wasn't in a mood too good to talk.
The only thing Tamara did do was throw the promise ring at Nathaniel and stormed off outside.
Tamara walked home when she found out she had missed the bus. Which was a terrible mistake. Nathaniel and his friends had followed her and cornered her in a dark alley. Just as they were about to pull her wallet out of her bag, a dark figure appeared behind them.
"You shouldn't have done that." according to Tamara, the trio ran like hell.
Tamara and Grim have been close friends ever since, much to her father's annoyance. Tamara's father still thinks Grim is a heartless monster because of what he did. Tamara's mother died when she was five, her father pleaded the Grim to let her live to attend her daughter's birthday. The plea didn't work as Grim still collected Tamara's mother. Even though Tamara knew of her mother's past, she decided that the past is history.

"What am I doing?" Tamara asked herself and took an even tighter grip on the golden locket.
"What?" Nathaniel was confused of Tamara's question.
Tamara looked down at the locket and opened it. Inside there was a picture of her and Grim, during their wedding day. She touched the picture and felt the emotions she felt that day flow back to her. Tamara started to cry as she realized how selfish she was to only care about herself and not Grim. Grim had always been there to comfort her and tell her everything will be alright. The only thing she ever did was clung and rely on Grim whenever she had the chance to.
"Sorry, Nathan. But I'm leaving you." Tamara said and stood up, running towards where she thinks Grim would be.
Left behind alone, Nathaniel smiled and looked at the sunset. The smile he had was nothing but warm.
'You finally noticed.' he thought as he went back indoors.
Can you believe that it took me months to complete this chapter?
