The rest of Akasame's date with his 'intended' went off without a hitch.

He felt that he had done his best to do right by her for someone so horribly out of practice of wooing one of the opposite sex.

But he had still managed to somehow 'wine and dine' her without putting his foot in his mouth again. All while trying to be as gentlemanly as possible while trying to impress upon her how pleasant he found her gentle beauty by quoting lovely poems to her that, he would admit with a little bit of embarrassment, had her laughing so hard in amusement that she had started crying.

All after which he'd gotten down on one knee and took her small hand in his and looked her in the eyes and had formally asked for her hand in marriage. Gaining only a small smile in response from her since she had already made her wishes known.

And he would admit, it was rare for someone like him to feel awkward or shy or even get the dreaded 'butterflies' in his stomach, and yet oddly- while he had slipped the little engagement ring on her finger and then rose back to his feet and then leaned in to kiss Hanna's sweet, tempting lips- he'd gotten butterflies.

So many butterflies in fact that he'd begun to wonder idly for a moment if he was just going to fly away.

While his mind raced a mile a minute with the possibilities and implications. His mouth made soft contact with her own, causing a jolt of pleasure to shoot down his spine, as he lifted a hand to cup her cheek gently as he applied a tad bit more pressure to the kiss as he slanted his mouth over hers and ran his tongue along her bottom lip seeking entrance. Hanna's eyes to pop for a second as he tangled his fingers in her pale hair and hesitantly parted her lips for him so that he could deepen the kiss.

Thrusting his tongue into the moist cavern of her mouth, Akisame let out a soft groan at the taste of her.

Merde, his little fiancé tasted as sweet as his favorite nectar drinks.

Pulling her petite, yet wonderfully soft curvy body flush against his own, he gave her a thorough kiss that ended with her clinging to his shoulders before he finally- slowly and reluctantly- released her before he lost all sense of himself and decided to consummate their relationship before it had even really begun.

He was after all a man. Not a saint.

Even the most patient of men can be tempted by the right forbidden fruit.

And at that exact moment, that's what Hanna represented to him. Forbidden fruit. Framing her face with his hands, he touched his forehead to hers as he tried to catch his breath and re-center himself before slowly opening his pale eyes a sliver and studying her pretty face for a moment from under his lashes.

She had a dazed look on her face. Almost as if she had never been kissed before. But then given her background and past history he supposed that she hadn't had much intimate contact with the opposite sex. Willingly at least. His mind corrected him as he noted the slight blush staining her pale cheeks and felt a possessive surge of pride so strong that he almost hugged her to him and shouted out, I did this! I made this lovely creature blush! But somehow managed to curb the impulse as he pulled away from her and smiled as he asked her if she was done eating since she had barely touched her food and it was beginning to get late out and though tomorrow was a weekend- he didn't want to keep her out too late.

It simply wasn't practical. Especially since she went to school and had a job. Speaking of, he never really asked her what her job was...

Hanna looked down at her food and inwardly cringed at how little she had eaten due to the fact that she was somewhat nervous around Akisame and asked if she could get a to go box or something and received a nod from her fiancé before he settled down in his seat across the table from her to wait for his friend to return and ten asked, "I forgot to ask earlier, but I was told you had a job. What kind of work do you do?"

Straightening up in her seat a bit, Hanna blushed again and replied with a slight stutter. "Oh- Uh... A-A little bit of this and that." Causing him to laugh softly.

To be perfectly honest it wasn't a very straight answer. That and it was amusing to him that she thought she might be able to get away without telling him anything. But no matter, if she didn't want to tell him, he'd simply ask Niijima for the information and then go pay her a visit at work.

Everyday.

Or at least until he was too old and feeble to bother to do more than walk a few steps from their marriage bed. Of course by the time that occurred he'd probably be dead anyways.

Married for a score of years to Hanna and father to twelve or so little one's- the oldest six or seven would hopefully be successful businessmen/women capable of taking care of themselves and their mother and siblings- while at least two or three of them would have been married for several years and already given him grandchildren.

Wow that was a very thorough and detailed thought of the future he hoped to have with Hanna.

Weird.

Usually when he fantasized about something he tended to steer clear of any real details. It was sort of his own twisted way of teasing himself.

Twenty minutes later, the two left the restaurant holding hands while Akisame kindly carried his woman's things as he began to walk her home. Finding it interesting that they were able to make idle chit chat up until they reached their destination, which strangely- was in the same neighborhood as Ryonzanpaku.
