What If – The Dare
"I dare you to kiss that guy over there," dared Lexie, pointing.
"Done," smiled Sierra, before she walked over.
It was Valentine's day. While all the girls had no boyfriends – except Sierra and Lexie. The girls had opted for a girls day so Gabriella, Kiera and Taylor weren't left out.
Gabriella, Taylor and Kiera had insisted that they weren't bothered if Sierra and Lexie saw their boyfriends for the day but the girls had insisted they spend the day together.
Now they were at the train station heading to Santa Fe for the day.
They were bored waiting for the train so they were looking for something do and had come up with dares.
Sierra's dare to kiss the dark haired, alone, guy standing meters away from them
They watched as Sierra headed over to the guy, tapped him on the shoulder. As he turned around the girls mouths dropped. Sierra kissed him and walked away.
"I just kissed Troy Bolton," she whispered, excitedly.
"She just kissed my boyfriend," thought Gabriella.
Yes Gabriella had a boyfriend, a secret boyfriend who was very famous – Troy Bolton, a very well known singer.
Troy glanced over at the girl who had just kissed him and then his eyes trailed left and landed on a girl who was glaring at her friend and sending reassuring smiles at him – Gabriella. When she noticed she'd caught his eyes she mouthed 'it's ok wildcat' and then turned away.
Even though he knew he hadn't cheated and she knew he hadn't cheated, he still felt like he'd cheated.
"Oh crap our train," said Sierra.
The girls grabbed their handbags and ran. But they didn't know they were on the wrong train. They had gotten all day train passes at the ticket desk without times and destinations on but they didn't realize they hadn't stepped on the one hour train to Santa Fe, they had stepped out the eleven hour train to Los Angeles.
They slid into a carriage and dropped into the seats in a pile of giggles. They piled their handbags next to them and rested on their elbows on the table.
There was only one seat left in their compartment so they didn't except to be disturbed and they weren't. They weren't for the first half an hour of there journey. They were talking and laughing and none heard the announcements for the stops. Until Gabriella heard one for Flagstaff and then she realized they were going the wrong way.
"Guys that announcement was for Flagstaff," she said.
"So?" asked Sierra.
"Which is the opposite way to Santa Fe," said Gabriella. She thought for a minute. "We're on the wrong train. We're going to LA."
"We'll be fine," laughed Sierra.
"It's an eleven hour journey," answered Gabriella.
"Geez Gabs chill out our parents don't except us back yet," smiled Sierra.
"I'll be right back," whispered Gabriella.
No body heard her. She slipped out of the compartment and pulled out her phone.
She rang a number the person answered.
"Which compartment are you in?" asked Gabriella.
"Twenty two on my own why?" asked Troy.
Gabriella glanced at her compartment nineteen and then one next to it twenty. She followed them down until she got to twenty two and hung up. Just like he said Troy was in there on his own.
She slid the door open and Troy looked up to tell her to leave but when he saw who it was he should up and smiled until he saw her face.
"Hey what's up?" he asked.
"We're on the wrong train," she whispered.
"Hey come here," he whispered, pulling her towards him.
"Is it mean if I tell my friends I'm getting off at the next stop to go home but stay on the train with you?" asked Gabriella.
"Yes," answered Troy.
"They keep saying it's going to be ok but it's ten in morning and we won't get to LA till half ten at night and we'll all just have to turn around and come back it's not worth it," answered Gabriella. "They'll all get in trouble."
"What about you?" asked Troy.
"Now approaching Kingman."
Gabriella groaned.
"Brie it'll all work out," whispered Troy, forgetting his previous question.
"I'm fine coming to LA. I know you could have me back in a few hours on a plane but I can't explain that to my friends," sighed Gabriella, leaning against him. "I'm going getting my bag I've already been gone for half an hour."
"What you going to say?" asked Troy.
"I'll say I have a headache and I found an empty compartment. I'll say the number and tell them to come get me when they decide to get off," answered Gabriella, as she stood up but as she stood she sway and she found herself being tugged down next to Troy.
"You've not drunk everything yet today have you?" asked Troy.
Gabriella shook her head.
"Go get some water, juice whatever. Get your things and come back here," smiled Troy.
Gabriella nodded and did just that. She didn't speak when she picked her up her bag. She actually didn't even think her friends noticed her enter or leave their compartment.
"Some friends they are," she muttered, as she sat next to Troy.
"Hmm?" asked Troy.
"They didn't even ask where I was going they didn't even look at me," she muttered, placing her head on his lap as she curled up on the seat.
"Why are you girls out today anyway don't Sierra and Lexie have boyfriends?" asked Troy.
Gabriella nodded.
"They felt bad for me, Taylor and Kiera so they called of their dates and said we were all going to Santa Fe," answered Gabriella.
"What about Kelsi?" asked Troy.
"It's hers and Ryan's first V day and he had something special planned before the girls devised this plan so we let her," answered Gabriella.
"Isn't it Sierra and Lexie's first V day with Max and Mark?" Troy asked.
"For Sierra yes but Lexie no," answered Gabriella.
"So shouldn't she want to spend the day with him?" asked Troy.
"She's seeing him tonight?" asked Gabriella. "Or she was until we got onto this train."
"Don't worry about it Brie. Did you tell them were you where going?" asked Troy.
"They didn't even look at me," answered Gabriella.
"It's just that we have some unwanted visitors outside our compartment," answered Troy.
Gabriella glanced at to her left and saw her friends and then cuddled into Troy.
"Who cares," she whispered. "I'm with you it's valentine's day."
"Our third valentine's day," answered Troy.
Gabriella nodded.
"Happy Valentine's day," she smiled.
"Happy Valentine's day," he answered, leaning his head down to kiss her.
A collective gasp came from the girls outside.
"I love you," smiled Troy.
"Love you," smiled Gabriella, resting her head on Troy's shoulder.
"Can we just ask what's going on?" asked Sierra.
"I'm spending the day with Troy on the train and the night and tomorrow and Sunday and then Troy will fly me back on Sunday night," smiled Gabriella. "Weren't you meeting Max tonight?"
"Yeah," answered Sierra.
"So how can you meet Max if you're on a train to LA till half ten?" asked Gabriella. "Plus all your parents will kill you."
"And you?" asked Troy.
"Mum's away," she mumbled, against his chest.
"Excuse me?" asked Troy.
"She's away," she said, louder.
"Brie, baby you're meant to call me when she does that," murmured Troy, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
"So you two how?" asked Sierra.
"I'll tell you on Monday," answered Gabriella.
"But its three years?" asked Sierra.
"No it'll be four in a couple of months," smiled Gabriella.
"Ok well were going to get off at Barstow and go back home so we'll see you on Monday," said Sierra.
"Now stopping at Barstow."
"Bye," smiled Gabriella.
"Bye," echoed Troy.
The girls walked off and Gabriella cuddled up to Troy and relaxed for the rest of the trip. Before sending the next two days celebrating four years with Troy and a very happy valentine's day.
