They watched as she slipped between the circle of men in black suits. Then they couldn't see anything.
So they didn't see Troy pull Gabriella onto his knee, nor propose to her or hear her accept.
They heard Chad whoop and call from champagne for the happy couple.
"Oh my friends want to meet you," said Gabriella.
Ten minutes later.
"So you've been together for three years. You're a number one song write, you write there songs and your engaged to the lead singer," said Zoe.
Gabriella nodded. "Your taking this very well.
"We'll freak out later," said Zoe. "Let's toast."
The talking and celebrations carried on into the night.
