AN: I do not own Harry Potter.
So, here we are again. A big thank you to everyone still interested in this.
In this chapter, we go out to dinner and..find out what Hermione is having!
Enough of me. Go read!
Enjoy!
After Harry and Ron were dropped off, they quickly went up the stairs. They both wanted to be at the restaurant as soon as they could. Both boys felt that uneasy feeling starting to fade, and if not the others, Hermione was close to forgiving them. Upon entering, they saw Molly and Arthur, as well as Bill and Charlie, standing there, dressed fairly nice. Molly was wearing a lovely blue dress and had her hair up in a bun, while Arthur, Bill and Charlie were in their best robes.
''Hey. What's going on?'' Ron asked.
''Oh, we're going to Hermione's restaurant tonight.'' Molly said.
''That's great. Can you wait to leave, though? Mione invited us as well, so we need to shower and change.'' Ron said.
''Yes. We weren't leaving for a bit anyhow. You boys have half an hour.'' Arthur said.
''Thanks.'' Ron said, bolting from the room.
''What's the name of this place? Surely it's not called 'Hermione's Restaurant', is it?'' Harry asked.
''No, dear. It's 'Ma Jolie Petite Lionne', or 'My Lovely Little Lioness'.'' Molly said. Seeing Harry's look of confusion, she continued. ''She was having a hard time coming up with a name when she was getting it ready, so Hermione ran a contest in the paper, and that was the winning name.''
''I was gonna say that didn't sound like something Hermione would pick.'' Harry said.
''What didn't Hermione pick?'' Arthur asked as he walked into the room.
''The name of the restaurant.'' Molly answered.
''Shower's free!'' Ron yelled from the hall.
''Great.'' Harry said, leaving the room.
''Does anyone know why Hermione and Severus wanted us all there tonight?'' Charlie asked, fidgeting with his tie.
''No, not really.'' Bill said as he walked back from the kitchen. ''Just that they wanted everyone there at 7."
''Hmm.'' Charlie hummed.
Harry walked into the room he was sharing with Ron, still damp from his shower. He was almost ready, just needed to find his dress shoes. Ron, he noticed, was sitting on the bed staring into space with a goofy smile.
''What's up, Ron?''
''Huh?'' Ron asked, coming out of his haze. ''Oh, just wondering about tonight. I overheard Bill tell Charlie that Mione wanted everyone there for some big announcement about something.''
''Oh. Wonder what.'' Harry said, putting his socks on.
''Maybe she's divorcing the git.'' Ron said, goofy smile back in place.
''I doubt that, Ron.'' Harry said. ''They've seemed like they were still together the last couple of times we saw them.'' Harry said.
''Yeah, maybe.''
''Come on, Ron. You said you would be supportive of her.'' Harry said, rolling his eyes.
''I am, Harry. But that doesn't stop me from wishing he were out of the picture.'' Ron said, looking at Harry. ''Imagine if she leaves the greasy bastard, she'll need someone to help her raise that kid of hers. And who do you think she'll turn to, eh? Me.'' Ron smiled.
''Ron, I don't think..'' Harry said, putting his shoes on.
''Don't you get it, mate?'' Ron asked, lowering his voice. ''I come back, and suddenly she's making some big announcement to the family? Seems a little odd if you ask me.''
''Yeah, but Ron..''
''She's decided to get rid of ol' Snape and soon she'll be asking me to take her back.'' Ron said with a smug smile.
''Ron, I doubt..''
''Come on, Harry. It's time to get my girl back.'' Ron said as he left the room.
''I don't think so, Ron.'' Harry whispered, shaking his head and following Ron.
''We just have to wait for mum and Lucius, then we'll get to it.'' Hermione said as the group was sitting down at their table. Everone was there tonight. In addition to the six of them, there was Fleur, Percy, Audrey, the twins, Angelina and Katie, Ginny and Draco, Neville and Luna, Remus, Tonks, and two seats left for Helena and Lucius.
'Well, this explains the separate room.' Harry thought. The room they were in was decorated in beiges and whites, with emerald green in various places. They were divided from the rest of the place by one way glass, and had a large chandelier hanging above them.
''That's okay, sweetheart. We're in no rush.'' Molly said.
''Alright. I'll have Roger bring over some wine for you.'' Hermione smiled. ''If you'll excuse me, I need to go make rounds. I'll see you in a bit.''
As Harry watched her walk away, he took a good look at the rest of the restaurant. The walls were a deep red color that went nicely with the cherry hardwood floors. Small tables, covered by white cloths, just big enough for four people, were organized in four rows with ten tables per row. Against the left and right walls were long tables, big enough for ten people. There were three large crystal chandeliers hanging that put out enough light so the restaurant wasn't too dark, but wasn't bathed in bright lighting, either. All along the walls were paintings of the Eiffel Tower, wine glasses and bottles, and fields of lavender. The windows at the front of the restaurant were darkened, running from an inch off the floor to an inch before the ceiling. All in all, it was a beautiful restaurant, and comfortable, too.
''So, why are we in a separate room, anyhow?'' Ron asked.
''This is the only table big enough for all of us. If we sat in there,'' Arthur said, pointing towards the main floor of the restaurant, ''there'd be hardly any room for anyone else.''
''Oh. Right.'' Ron nodded.
At that moment, the door opened, and in walked Helena, Lucius and Severus. ''Sorry we're late.'' Helena said.
''You're not. We all were fairly early.'' Molly said as they sat.
''Hermione doing rounds?'' Severus asked.
''Yes. And she looks wonderful, by the way.'' Ginny said, smiling.
''She always does. Excuse me.'' Severus said as he exited, off to find Hermione.
The door opened again a few moments later, and a waiter appeared. He was rolling a tray with wine glasses and wine on it.
''Good evening, Roger.'' Arthur said.
''Good evening, family.'' Roger replied with a smile as he passed out the glasses.
''How's your family, Roger, dear?'' Helena asked.
''Oh, they're fine. Little Anna did her first bout of magic yesterday.'' he said, making everyone cheer for him.
''What did she do?'' Lucius asked.
''She levitated her stuffed dragon.'' Roger beamed as he began pouring the wine.
''Well, congratulations, Roger.'' Molly said.
''Thank you.'' he said. He finished pouring the wine and left, just as Hermione and Severus entered.
''Hello mum, Lucius.'' Hermione said as she walked over to hug them.
''Hello, dear.'' Lucius said.
''Sorry we were a bit late, love.'' Helena said.
''Oh, that's alright. You're here now.'' Hermione said. She walked back to Severus and smiled as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders. ''Now, before dinner, we wanted to make an announcement. As you know, I had a check up yesterday. Severus and I,'' she said, smiling up at him, ''are happy to say we're having a boy!'' Hermione yelled. Everyone cheered for the two.
Helena and Lucius, as well as Ginny and Draco, went up and hugged the couple. Helena and Ginny both had tears shining in their eyes.
Ron felt his heart sink. He had been holding onto the hope that Hermione would come running back to him. Obviously, that wasn't going to be happening. And, he wasn't even sure he would want that now. He had never seen her look so happy. He knew he could never make her that happy. So, he fought with all his self control, and for once, instead of shooting his mouth off in anger, smiled and tried his hardest to be happy.
